Hi guys, I just got a Aorus 3080 10gb card and I am wondering can It run properly with my power supply: The Be Quiet Pure Power 11 600w, Its a 80Plus Gold power supply. My build: Intel i5-9600k (Not overclocking) CURRENT: Strix 1080 (Not overclocking), NEW: Auorus 3080 10g (Not overclocking) 16gb ram 3 case fans A 2 fan CPU cooler by Coolermaster 2NVME ssd 1 HDD Asus Prime Z370 motherboard I check on some power supply calculators and it said max power draw 580 with the new card so theoretically it should be fine but I am not sure I dont want to randomly fry my PC. Any input will be appreciated, thanks a lot

Hi all- I was looking to upgrade the memory in my computer to a new set, and I totally forgot how close this CPU cooler is to the ram. This is the be quiet! Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler and it sits right on top of the memory. What I was wondering was is it possible to switch the CPU cooling fan to the other side of the cooling fin tower? Will this greatly affect thermals?

Hello, The first PSU (600W be quiet! Pure Power 11 - 80+ Gold) I had started making an oscillating clicking sound about 6-10 months after purchase, I returned it and got a new one, now the same thing happens again. Possible factors: Dust? It is dusty in the room, but I clean the rig 2 times a year. The intake does have one of those Dust filters, and I never had this problem with any other PC ever. Temperatures? Summer is Hot and Winter is Cold, some change in average Temp causes this? 6-10 Months seems like good seasonal timing. The PSU is installed "upside down"? The PSU sucks from below the rig, maybe it is not designed to do that? I have the urge to take it apart, but I cant because I can still return it I think. What are some possible reasons BR

RAM: Best RAM to pair with the 7800X3D? I've read 6000Hz CL30 is best. But Supplier contacted me today with the following: "We've been checking through the chosen components and have noticed that, even though RAM capable of up to a 6000MHz frequency has been added to this order, due to how new DDR5 still is, it is unfortunately a possibility that the system will not be able to reach a stable 6000MHz memory frequency as yet with 4 sticks. That is likely to change in the near future once newer BIOS updates are released to better support higher memory frequencies. Please let me know if you're happy for our team to clock the memory at its highest stable frequency, or if you'd like to downgrade the RAM to possibly make a saving on its cost." Does he know what he's talking about? What should I do? 7. RAM: Am I right in saying 2 x 32Gb is a better combination than 4 x 16Gb for this RAM, on this mobo, with this CPU? If not, then what? 8. Ok, so I bought a Foundation NZXT PC, long story there, but essentially I have a GPU for it now and hate the case...I mean HATE the H510. Was looking into the Be Quiet 500DX for a replacement but didn't know if anyone had experience with the case and the thermals with suggestions on the fan setup and if it is a good buy, I am limited in the upgrade to about $150 US so other than the corsair 4000d and maybe springing a bit extra on the Fractal Torrent, this one caught my eye and seems easy to build in. Any suggestions on it or other options will greatly help me ask my financial planner (wife) if we could look at upgrading in the next 6 months or so.

I'm looking for a decent inverse ATX case for my next build, and I was considering the Dark Base 700. It looks perfect, but the top panel is a solid metal panel with a small vent at the rear. Despite this, it has a slide out tray to accommodate a radiator at the top. This seems a crazy design... is the top panel interchangeable, or removable? Thanks

so i bought a new pc a month ago (specs in the image + an old 1050 ti) but i have a problem with the cooling of my CPU when i am using it a little bit the temp sits around 70 degrees Celsius and if i hit it hard it instantly spikes to 90 degrees. the cooler said it was for 150 watt TDP and my friend also said it was enough. i first thought it was my airflow so i installed a 3 extra fans (2 in the front and 1 on the cooler). this lowered the temp a little bit but it still hits 90 degrees. do you have any idea wat causes this and how i can fix it? Thanks.

Hello, I want to buy Arctic Liquid Freeze II 280 for my build. But Im not sure it will fit as TOP mounted in my case. In paper Lian Li says 55mm clearence for top. But https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/vbx6Mp#cx3816965 here this guy fitted 280MM in 240mm top mount compatible case. My questions are: 1- Can I fit Arctic 280mm top mounted? 2-Can I fit Arctic 240mm top mounted? 3- Should I fit Be quiet 280mm AIO instead of Arctic 240 mm(Assumed I cant fit 280mm Arctic)?

Budget (including currency): €3000+ Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: python, excel and the occasional game Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Last time i build a pc it was an aircooled pentium in an Aopen tower, little more than 20 years ago when i was living with my parents, drinking beers and studying. Since then i have been crunching accounting spreadsheets for the man on corporate laptops for the past decades - don't know how this trip down "pc" memory lane started - but its been a hell of a lot more fun than building ikea furniture for my kids rooms, which i have done a lot of lately. In December (May now) i started ordering the first bit and pieces, initially i planned on making my own case with room for the massive 4 x 200mm radiator from alphacool - then later i fell in love with the master cooler gulf mod theme - but eventually thought it through, and i would have to build something that the wife woulnd't be "to" disgusted by (TO MUCH RGB WAS DEF A NO GO), and i couldn't really take out the (family) time to make something unique. so after intensive research i decided to go with a be quiet case Dark Base 700 - mainly because its supposedly silent, and about as stylish and clean as clumbsy consumer midtower cabinets comes. however inspired by the many youtube videos on watercooling i HAD to try it. its been fun doing research on the subject, and finding the bits and pieces that (hopefully) would fit. so here it is, almost done, of cause it will be placed on the floor out of sight ~ married. Under the hood its: Asus Strix 570Xe Asus 3060 12GB OC - i am not a big gamer and had ordered a 3070 in december, but had to buy this one just to get my hands on a graphics card. 4 x 32GB 3200Mzh G.Skill 1 x TB SSD m.2 WD (the fast one) 1200W Be quiet Straight Power 11 Platinum (would have settled for a 1000W - but due to stock shortage had to buy this one) Resevoir - EK-RES X3 150 - initially i would have gone for an alphacool, alas stock shortage and EK also makes nice quality i think Pump - Alphacool Eispumpe VPP755 - G1/4 inner thread including Eisdecke D5 - Acetal V.3 Top Rad Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 360mm radiator 3 x be quiet! Lüfter Silent Wings 3 - 120mm PWM H Front Rad Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 360mm radiator 3 x be quiet! Case: Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX (with 3 stock 140mm fans, 1 front intake, 1 top exhaust, 1 rear exhaust) Parts: Ryzen 9 5900X Cryorig R1 Universal Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wifi X570 Zotac GTX 1080Ti Palit GTX 680 (to drive a second virtual machine) I've been trying and failing to remove the front panel from the case. All the videos I've watched said that it requires force, but I've been unable to remove it. Since I cannot remove it, I cannot replace the front in-take fans. I was planning to install 3 120mm fans to replace the 140mm front-intake fan. So the big question is, should I go stock, or install 2 120mm top-intake fans? My priority is positive pressure so that I don't have to spend time dusting the case.

After Steve from Gamers Nexus made his recent video about AIO radiator placement, I tried to change the placement of my Corsair H100i V2 and have had some trouble getting my computer to perform well in terms of noise or temperature levels. I'm not sure if I messed something up or if I just became more conscious of them when monitoring my temps (I'm not blaming Steve here). Until recently, I've had the Corsair AIO cooling my i7-7700k at 4.8GHz in my Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 6 and a bunch of 140mm be quiet! Pure Wings 2 fans (some accidentally ordered as PWM and others not). I recently added 2 more 120mm Aer P fans for push/pull on the radiator. 1x140mm top rear exhaust, 2x140mm top exhaust, 1x 140mm lower front intake, 4x120mm on the rad top front intake. All of the be quiet 140mm fans are plugged into motherboard headers (ASUS Maximus IX Hero), the Corsair fans are plugged into motherboard CPU fan headers, and the new NZXT fans are plugged into the split Y headers on the Corsair AIO pump itself. So, everything but the NZXT fans are controlled by ASUS Fan Xpert. My issue now is that my computer is much louder with all of these fans running as well as heating up my room very quickly. I'm questioning if I need to tweak my fan curves or if I have too many fans. I've also thought about buying a new case with better vents/airflow to toss everything in and scratch the itch of building something new (ex. Corsair Airflow 4000D). The Cooler Master case is pretty big and bulky and doesn't have the best vents (I at least have the panels popped to the "open" position and the front completely tilted open when gaming). Should I keep my radiator front mounted? Should I keep doing push/pull? How much would moving the rad to the top affect my GPU temps (currently maxing out on 67C under intense gaming)?

I recently thought of getting an rtx 3060/3060ti is it possible that I can run one of these cards on a 500w 80 plus gold power supply (Be Quiet! Pure Power 11). I calculated the wattage with an rtx 3060ti on newegg and it came out to 383w.. Can this power supply handle the load?

Hey Linus Tech Tips community, I have a quick request for y'all. I recently built a Gaming PC, my first in almost two decades, and I wanted to make sure these CPU temperatures were within expected parameters. I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU with a "be quiet!" Dark Rock Slim (Shadow Rock ended up being too big) in a Lian Li TU150 case with "be quiet!" Silent Wings 3 fans in the front and rear mounting points, so it should be a decent amount of airflow. I'm overly concerned that I botched the thermal paste application (primarily that I put too little as an overcorrecting measure when I put way too much on the aforementioned Shadow Rock install) and I wanted to make sure these temperatures are within expected ranges. I have the fans set to "performance" in the ASRock motherboard BIOS. Here's a Cinebench run: Cinebench R20 Test Looks like idle is around mid-30s and a Cinebench R20 run gets it up to around 69c at maximum. Does that sound proper or should I pull off the cooler and some point and reapply the thermal paste? Many thanks!

I'm facing a bit of a conundrum, because I just can't seem to cross the T when it comes to airflow with the Dark Base Pro 900 in an inverted layout. The issue is that the air comes in, flows a bunch over the socket area (and the through the CPU cooler) and to a lesser degree the PCIe slots (and to the GPU cooler). The problem is that there just isn't enough airflow to the PCIe slots. There's a filtered intake on the front (two 140mm fans) and a filtered intake on the bottom (another two 140mm fans). This puts a bunch of pressure squarely around the CPU area. This wouldn't be an issue for the GPU if Nvidia hadn't designed GPUs that also blow directly into this area, fighting against all that pressure - especially since the other fan on the GPU - the one that exhausts outwards - will be getting bugger all airflow like this. To clarify, I am using a Founder's 3090 so it has a funky cooler. What I could do is add intakes on the top, but this isn't a filtered intake so it'll be pretty dusty. I'm also concerned that it'll struggle with the limited airflow in that spot, not to mention that the slits are optimised to exhaust air towards the back of the case, so an intake config could just recycle all the heat coming out from the rear CPU and GPU exhausts. Another solution could also omit the optical drives and add another 140mm fan in its place, but I am unfortunately one of the few people still pottering about that actually uses optical drives and CDs. If push comes to shove, I'll use an external one, but that seems a bit silly when I have two perfectly good slots in my very large case already. I could really use some creative ideas - all are welcome! P.S. This is how Be Quiet! expects it all to work in a standard ATX layout:

Hi So I have an 6 - 8+ year old system using an Intel i7 960 which uses socket lga 1366 (otherwise known as socket B, inheriting from lga 775). I decided about a month ago to dig this old PC out of storage and convert it into a NAS with some lightweight VMs. As the PC hasn't been cleaned in about as long as it's been alive, apart from a light vacumming here and there, I decided to give it a proper deep clean before making use of it which was esspaicilly importnat as it's going to be in my office next to a bedroom so near silent is the goal. During the cleaning I realized it was probbarbly time to replace it's old AIO tht's been running all those years and hasn't been cleaned either, my chosen replacement was a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 which is probarbly way overkill but would help with the near silent goal. I read on the coolers spec sheet that it is compatible with the lga 1366 socket so bought it howver looking at the docs there's no mention of mounting it to a lga 1366 but it does cover mounting to AM4 and lgas 2066, 2011 (-3) square ILM, 1200, 1150, 1151, 1155 and 1700. Did Amazon and PCPartPicker lie to me when they sid it supports lga 1366 or does lga 1366 match one of the aforementioned socket types? Thank for any feedback

Just got myself be quiet fans pure wing 2 high speed, however I thought maybe I can connect them on my RGB/fan hub to control the fan. It didn’t work, instead it’s on max RPM. Apparently, the hub wasn’t connected on the motherboard, so now, I’m stuck with three be quiet fans that’s connected to the hub, but no control on the speed of the fans. I thought, maybe I can connect the GDV header to the system_fan1, if that possible to do it?

Hello . Recently after i upgraded to a newer platform (Z690) i have started experiencing a black screen issue. This occurs ONLY if i increase the power limiter and temp limiter through MSI afterburner of the card. If default, it some times completed or not the PR Stress Test. I checked everything i could. After running Memtest i found out that there was an issue with one stick as it wouldnt get recognised from pc and mobo would post cod 55. I then tried newer sticks (Corsair Dominator 5600 DDR5 36-36-36-76) and the issue happened again when i tried the test, but when i was completely default on the 3090 the PR got completed. Previously with the defective kit , it managed to complete it but i had less than 97% stability. Also, when i tried Unigine Superposition i am getting quite a low score for a 3090. Everything else seems to be fine, as i run multiple CPU stress tests (Intel Burn Test, Aida etc) and CPU is fine. I dont think that it is a PSU related issue, as i consider the Dark Power Pro 12 (1500W) quiet an overkill.. Temps are fine. CPU is stock, only thing i done is Editted Power Plan to High Performance. Also , memory is running at XMP 1. All drivers are updated and BIOS version of the mobo is the latest (1403). I really cant find out what is causing this issue as i thought that replacing the faulty ram would fix it, but its still there. My only guess, would be that it has something to do with GPU?!
