Logitech G560 or Audioengine A2+ I love the RGB on G560, but I also and much rather prefer something like A2+ is offering since I am everywhere around the house and bath and kitchen and I'd like to have some strong audio delivery with me But since A2+ is wireless will be as good as something wired? Rich sound, Bass? I have wireless headsets and I absolutely love'em and wouldnt go back to wired

Over the past few days I've asked a few questions about audio and finally picked up a pair of A5+. I'm loving them so far but I'd love to find a decent subwoofer that would work well with these, the AudioEngine S8 sub is a bit pricey for what it is so i'm looking for an alternative. Note: I am in Europe so the US brands are hard to get or have huge shipping costs. Thanks everyone.

I'm looking to replace my Klipsch pro media speakers due to the snap popping noises and all orther sorts of issues with the product. I currently have a Creative Labs AE-5 sound card, I'm happy with the card since it made the speakers sing better than the motherboard's onboard. I'm looking at either a JBL LSR 305 mkii or go with the audio engine A2+ and sub. I had used a Bose Companion 20 in the past, and I didn't like the shallow low end that it produced. I currently had gotten a Logitech G560 from BB from the warranty on the Klipsch. Personally, I think it's a complete let down. It's muffled way to much at low volumes and when it is clear, it has to be at a higher volume. On top of that, I'm having way too many software issues to make owning it worth while. Also, can recommendations would be great. I'm looking to spend about $300 tops for now on a good pair of speakers, then add a sub later on down the line possibly. I plan on using my sound blaster card since I'm not a big fan of DACs.

*This is basically a re-post of mine from Tom's Hardware. I am looking to buy some new speakers for my desktop. Right now, the Audioengine A2+ are my top contender. I know Linus' thoughts on the A2+'s, but it seemed there was a lot of contention in that comment section. My budget is anywhere from $100-300. Mostly playing video games, watching movies and listening to music are what I use my speakers for. I am coming from the Logitech z533 2.1 speakers (that sounded great to me while they lasted and then inexplicably broke), and more recently a pair of little dinky amazon speakers I had lying around that... well they're better than my monitor's built-in speakers. I don't have the biggest budget, but I don't mind paying a little more for a proper bookshelf+amp set up if it's really worth it. My main constraint is space. Here's my current set-up. I have a small room and an even smaller desk, check the link so you can see what I'm working with. The amazon speakers I currently have are 5in tall, with about an inch of clearance to the monitor (there is some leeway here). I am not interested in buying any audio products from Logitech again, and I'd like to avoid anything with proprietary connections. Got any suggestions given my space/budget? I've also been looking at the Mod House Mini Cubes and the Q Acoustics 3020s. Thanks for the help.

Hello everyone! I'm considering a pair of cost-effective, long lasting HiFi speaker. I found two speakers, A2+ & A5+, that seem to get very good review although they're all like 4 years old. I'm currently living in a dormetery which is a little small, but not for too long, 3 years. I want a really good speaker that lasts. Thanks for any suggestions.

I am setting up a decent great sounding audio source for my Audioengines A5+ Speakers. I am wanting to get some input on the best way of execution to make these sound good with the 96 to 192hz 24 bit FLAC Audio that I have on my PC? Is the Asus STX Essense ll (Sound Card of choice) Vs Audioengine D1 24 Bit Analog Converter (DAC Converter of choice)

I've been searching for a new set of speakers, no more than £400 ($565), to hook up to my PC for playing both games and music. I'm looking for good all round sound, but I would definitely like there to be some punchy bass present. My only real constraint (other than money) is the space available on my desk. There is about a 17cm gap between the monitors and the desk (adjustable to some degree), so I'm limited in the height of the speakers (or width if oriented differently). I was originally recommended the JBL LSR305s on the audiophile sub-reddit, but unfortunately they're just too big and I can't see anywhere I could reasonably fit them without them looking out of place. I'm looking for something close to the size of the Audioengine A2+. Someone recommended I take a look at the Vanatoo Transparent Zeros, which actually look more or less perfect, but they're not sold outside the US. I've taken a look at the Ruark MR1 mkII recently which seem promising. They've got great reviews and also have external subwoofer capability, but Ruark don't provide specs for them which seems a little shady to me. So right now I'm lost. It feels like the speaker I'm looking for just doesn't exist. Can anyone recommend me something please? I'd really appreciate it!

So I'm looking at picking up my first set of really good bookshelf/desktop speakers. I'm on a tight budget for high quality sound: CAD $600 tops for 2 bookshelf speakers and a sub-woofer. I have been considering 2 sets of speakers + woofer 1. Audio engine HD3 SELF POWERED + audioengine s8 woofer (totals $1000 and pushes my budget alot, i may buy the woofer after a while and save $450 but ideally wouldn't want do without one) Speakers: https://www.premiumsoundcanada.com/collections/audioengine/products/audioengine-hd3-2-way-wireless-bluetooth-bookshelf-speakers-pair Woofer:https://www.premiumsoundcanada.com/collections/audioengine/products/audioengine-s8-premium-powered-subwoofer-black 2. Polk Audio T15 speakers + polk audio psw10 sub-woofer (totals $300) Speakers: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/polk-audio-polk-audio-t15-bookshelf-speakers-black-pair-t15/10270588.aspx? woofer: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/polk-audio-polk-audio-psw10-10-100-watt-powered-subwoofer-psw10/10053785.aspx? I could go with the polk, but i've heard recorded playback from the audioengines and even while recorded they sound really good. can anyone help with a comparison? audioengine retailers in the US are the only ones that let you audition the speakers and im based in Canada. that aside, i will need to purchase a stereo or AV receiver but i dont know much about them in terms of channels and features. Is there anyone here who could help me figure out what to do or go for? either over the forum or even over a private chat who could help with this? i just want a kick ass audio experience. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I just wanted advice on which are better to get. I haven't heard either let alone both, so I can't compare to know which I'd prefer. I'm leaning towards the HD3s. Please help!

In the market to buy new speakers for my pc. I have a 2.1 channel set of Altec Lansing speakers that are amazing, but the sub is slowly but surely dying. I really like the aesthetic of the AudioEngine 5's, but I'm not liking the price at all. Anyone have any recommendations for something that looks elegant and sounds good with a sub? Looking to spend a maximum of 200 CAD, would possibly spend a little more depending on the sound / looks.

I've been researching into sub £300 studio monitor's for about 2 weeks now as I plan to get a pair very soon. I have been able to narrow my choices down to the Audioengine a5+'s and the Yamaha HS7's, I did think about the KRK ROKIT 6's but I've heard they're not quite as good as the other two mentioned. I'm not an audio creator or mixer, just an enthusiast who's looking to get into the audio game. Has anyone been able to compare these two sets of speakers? I'm looking to listen to high quality music, watch movies, play games etc. If I get the a5+'s, I'll be getting the Audioengine D1 dac with them too, I'm not sure what I'll be getting with the HS7's though. Could anyone help me out please? Size is not an issue, I can get them both for £300 for the pair also, so price is not an issue.

I bought a set of Audioengine A5+ speakers and I'm having some installation problems (No idea with audio equipment). I've connected the AC Power as well as the speaker wire connecting the two speakers. I've checked that the exposed wire is contacting the connectors. Lastly there is the mini jack and the RCA cable. I've connected the mini jack from the speaker to the green port on my motherboard IO. After this I turned them on and tried them out. I'm getting some sound but I have to max the PC volume and it's still a very low sound. Do I have to connect the RCA cable to my PC as well? Like I said I have no idea. If so which colored ports do I connect them to on my mobo. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! I'm looking to buy new desktop speakers for my setup. I really like the Audioengine A5+ and A2+'s design. Do you have one of these? I have a small room and will use them for basic music listening, gaming and video-watching. Can you recommend them or do you know great alternatives? Thanks!

I'm considering either of these two DACs (Unless someone can suggest a better DAC combo and or headphone amp combo for under $300), I'm less concerned with the features, even though the volume knob is a nice touch. Has anybody been able to compare sound quality. Which one of these two DACs is going to provide the better sound and is it significantly better? Leaning towards the D1 for the convenience. This would be driving a pair of Presonus Eris E5 monitors or some sort of power amp later on.

So I have a budget at around $350, and after doing some research I had selected either the A5+ or the P4 with an Amp and DAC (the refurbished models) as probably some of the best viable options for my desktop set-up. My main uses are gaming, watching movies/videos, and listening to music (classical and opera typically). I am really new to this community and this tier of audio wear so any advice would be helpful. Also if you know of any possible alternatives to the speakers I listed and a DAC/Amp to use that would be very much appreciated. Also as a side note white and black is the preferred color scheme (to match my build) but anything that you think would match a white and black build would be good as well. Thanks! http://audioengineusa.com/Store/refurbished

I am looking to invest in a new audio setup for my bedroom. The setup will be purely for listening to music for my pleasure, i will not be doing professional audio production of any kind. I listen to a lot of Acoustic, Rock ,alternate rock and the occasional bit of pop music. I will want the setup mostly for near-field listening as the speakers/monitors will be on my computer desk, but i will still want the speakers/monitors to fill the whole room and have good clean audio when i am doing things elsewhere in my room. I was thinking about getting a 2.0 or 2.1 setup, as i do like a lot of clean defined bass. I didn't know weather to opt for a pair of bookshelf speakers as a lot of them offer useful features such as remotes and they may be easier to implement Bluetooth as i want to add a Bluetooth audio receiver later on. Or i could go for a pair of studio monitors as i heard that they can produce accurate clean sound for the price, i need help choosing a good pair of good clear defined speakers/monitors for my new setup that can connect to my PC. I'm not too bothered at the moment about finding a dac or audio interface. My budget for this setup is £300. I also want the speakers to look clean and have good aesthetics, preferably white. I heard that some good options are the a5+ (although i hear that they sound quite muddy, but they look great), I also heard that the krk rockets rp6 g3 are good (although i dont like the yellow cones).

Hey guys. So this autumn I'm planning on upping my audio game. I already have a setup in mind but I'm not sure about my choice of desk speakers. I'm planning on buying a Schiit setup with the Modi 2 DAC and the Asgard 2 Amp to use with my pc. For headphones I'm gonna get a pair of HD600's and a pair of Audioengine A5+ for speakers. However, I'm not to sure about the Audioengine a5+. I have read allot good reviews and some neutral ones. I like a very flat reference sound so i can hear the song it was meant to be heard and I've heard the A5+'s colour the sound a bit and i was generally curious weather there was a better choice since I'm not that into audio. So do you guys know a better set of speakers within that budget?

Ok so i have the options above and i cant really decide. Right now i am thinking about doing the audioengine a2 because i can get them for about $80 with the audioengine stands. But at the same time i think the klipsch icons would sound better but be more expensive and more complicated to setup. Finally the easy setup and nice looks have me also considering the sound sticks but since they are computer speakers i do expect them to not sound as good and prohaps have more of a "fun" sound rather than a natural sound. My spending limit is only $150 and that is why i am mainly looking on ebay. Thanks a lot and please help!

So im looking to get some good powerful speakers. I am stuck between the Audioengine A5+ and the Kanto Yumi. I am leaning toward the A5+'s currently. They are a higher wattage and can get louder, which might be good to use for a party or something. They also seem to have a very good reputation. The Yumi's have more features though like bluetooth and a better remote. They will mostly be sitting on my desk plugged into my computer though so im not sure how much of a benefit the bluetooth or higher wattage would be. The Kanto Yumi's are on sale on Massdrop right now for $240 at the lowest price. The A5+ is $400 on amazon I am not sure if i should wait to see if the A5+ goes on sale on massdrop again (or somewhere else), but I dont want to wait forever. $160 is a lot to save. Can anybody vouch for either of these speakers?
