I have seen multiple games that use Anti-Cheat programs. All of them have caused issues in their own way depending on how they are implimented with the game. The Anti-Cheats I have seen the most are Denuvo and Easy Anti Cheat. I have played Genshin on my laptop and experianced some game play issues that likely were caused by it. The worst Anti-Cheat software I have ever experianced was years ago when I played Archeage. That piece of shit would run from the time the PC booted till you shut it down. The only way I could get it to stop was to comepletely wipe it from the system. I never even bothered learned its name back then now I wish I did. I recently came across Naraka: Bladepoint and it looks quite fun, unlike to normal MOBA crap that is main stream. The problem is it use a Ketnel Level Anti-Cheat called "Neacsafe," I am trying to find information on it, but I am not finding to much at this point. I won't trust a Kernel Level Anti-Cheat if I don't know anything about it. This all leads me back to the main question; just how dangerous are Kernel Level Anti-Tamper (Anti-Cheats) and does one tell if the progam really is just malware in disguise?

I hear Battlebit Remastered is getting Faceit anticheat? I’ve heard reports that it can take screenshots of your desktop when the game isn’t even running. Is this true? Definitely a privacy concern, I don’t know much about this topic

This all started when I was playing Overwatch 2 normally one weekend when all of a sudden, my PSU started to act up which led to my PC Crashing and going on Boot Loop. So long story short it corrupted my Motherboard and RAM, so I bought another PSU, Motherboard, and RAM. Still retained most of my parts from my PC fortunately and I did a test for my CPU with OCC and Intel, MSI Afterburner for my GPU and other 3rd party app for benchmarking GPU, as well as checking the diskhealth of my drives and it all passed. But after that when I reinstalled all my games and drivers my PC keeps freezing or crashing when playing games which are multiplayer extensive and have anticheat system included. I also noticed that my Windows Defender was not working as intended amidst all the errors and I believe that it is correlated. That being said here are the solutions I have tried to fix the problem but to no avail: - SFC /Scannow - DISM Commands (Scanhealth, Checkhealth, RestoreHealth) - Removing and Updating Windows Defender Signatures both via CMD and PowerShell - Powershell Command: Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.Windows.SecHealthUI* | Reset-AppxPackage - Cleaning up the OS Directory via Disk Cleanup - tried Ren:SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 commands as well but didn't work. - Made a DisableAntiSpyware in Registry Edit, also turned it to '0'. - did a repair/upgrade install. - did a clean install. - tried installing using an older version of Windows 10 (Not 22H2) - tried installing Windows 11 - tried installing OS on a MBR Disk - tried installing OS on a GPT Disk - tried downloading and updating my Windows Defender Manually but it doesn't seem to Run the installation. After several attempts it came to me that this might be a cause of not owning a legitimate license of Windows 10 but even after purchasing a legit license key the problem still persisted. I will attach my MSInfo and DxDiag as well as the other errors that I encountered with this problem. These are are the games that I am playing to give you more information and insight with the issue: Games that Run fine: Resident Evil 2, 3, 4 (All Remake), Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Age of Darkness, Civ 6, Ready or Not, Command and Conquer Red Alert 3, Tribes of Midgard. Games that Freeze and Crash: Naraka: Bladepoint, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (I haven't tried all games with AntiCheat but highly likely all of them can lead to crashing or freezing) Apologies for the long post. I have updated everything I can think of from bios to gpu drivers, I can open easyanticheat.exe and use repair function. Anti virus doesn't seem to be blocking it. Tried multiple games that use eac all the same problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey guys, so recently I've been playing BF4 everything worked out well but now all the sudden i get this error message: (the text box glitched so, I don't know if the things I've typed is still there) ERROR Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'JAC_SDWdidi' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed I can play the game but only for+/-1minute after that I get kicked. Any help thanks

Shot in the dark here, also first post. So I was playing SCUM for the first time online. Played 20 mins then got EAC banned. Talked to the devs, and they can't help or offer advice. I have submitted 2 support tickets, and 4 ban appeals. I also messaged them on Facebook and Twitter a few times. No response at all. After talking to the devs it seems I may have been banned for custom DNS and other settings on my router. I have been with 1 steam account for 15+ years, 180+ games, and this is my first ban. Does anyone have advice? I know this is a long shot
