Hey! So I ordered AERO 4070 (the regular, v1) and they brought me v2, and said thats what they have. I did see that in my country v2 costs a bit more, but on some of the forums Ive seen that since its smaller it is not as good as v1 anybody has any knowledge or thought about this? the dimensions are smaller, and my case is big and have lots of airflow (3 in 3 out) what do you think? should I return it and find a v1? or stay with v2?

Hi I'm about to buy MSI RTX 2080 TI 11GB But i couldn't find this product on MSI Official Site or YouTube or any other famous sites !! Which makes me wonder is it Original or Fake ? However, I found this topic with the same GPU, but i would like to see the count of display port and HDMI it has ? and does it support Overclocking ? and is it easy to water cool it ? windows aero doesn't work when hdmi plugged to the new GPU

I installed 1070 graphic card on my computer and the windows aero effect just doesn't work. i did google it and tried a lot of solutions but non of them succeeded. I tried installing the latest driver from geforce's website, installed Xtreme Graphic Engine in order to get the most up to date bios (which is F11 as for today) and firmware (21.21.13,7866 today's most up dated). I tried running the windows Aero Troubleshoot and it didn't help in any way. also reinstalling the windows didn't help (not fresh reinstall like format and install but a repair). i navigated to Services in windows and tried "stop", "play" and "Restart" under "Desktop Window Manager" option. when I plug my HDMI cable directly to the motherboard it works like magic both Windows Aero and the transparency across the board. *I did multiple restarts after each change or update. *i have Windows 7 Ultimate installed. *Graphic card driver's version is 378.66 Does anyone have any suggestions? -

So i am going to college soon and i am debating the Dell XPS 15 with the new gtx 1050 or the aer0 14 with the gtx 1060 All specs and are same price except Dell has 15.6 inch screen aero has 14 Aero has gtx 1060 dell has gtx 1050 They have same battery size which is main reason for these two besides being light weight, same ram, and same CPU. I will mainly be doing cad or other 3-d software but I enjoy the occasional Battlefield, Planetary Annihilation, and Overwatch. Hi LTT People, I am quite new to building a PC and I have encountered a problem. After setting up my PC for the first time, all went smoothly for one day. I am using an AMD a10 7860k along with it's igpu. The next day, i noticed that the transparency of my taskbar was gone. I tried restarting my computer and tried doing a system restore to the initial state as well. To no avail, aero still isn't working. I ran services.msc to manually restart wddm. The transparency went back for like a second then it reverted back by itself. I then tried to use the windows troubleshooter and it said that my graphics driver did not support wddm (my amd driver is up to date though). Since I was planning on buying a dedicated GPU, i disregarded the issue because i thought ill be using a totally different driver after installing it anyways. Today, i installed a GTX 1050 2gb GDDR5. I disabled my igpu from the BIOS as well. On first boot, the aero/wddm service was back. I used my PC for 3 hours or so and then shut it down. When i turned it on again, i got shocked that the transparency was gone again. I quickly checked on my games but they did not get affected. However, when I was watching videos on youtube, i can't help but notice stutters every now and then. My NVIDIA drivers are up to date and I'd like to ask for help before I go to my last resort which is to reformat my computer. If ever, would it be better to get Windows 8.1 or Windows 10? So ive been trying to decide on a 14" gaming laptop that i can also use for work (meaning, non-rice/gamery), ive been lurking and reading so much i cant even wrap my head around all of it.. i would like at least a GTX 1060, but i might compromise on a 1050~ if its not possible to get everything i want in such a small package. $$$ is not the issue ( at this point i wish it was ), i just cant find something that's a perfect match.. so im looking for the closest i can get. i will use this laptop for programming as well, so i would like a fairly good keyboard i hate all touch-pads, so unless i find a really good one, i probably wont use it much. i'm looking for something QUIET, meaning around 45-47~ db while gaming, 2kg~ max, and below 15" laptop size. my current options : MSI GS43VR 7RE: pros: steel series keyboard - supposedly a very good keyboard build quality (?) cons: loud fans (?) bad battery life (?) from pictures, looks kind of bulky/ugly and has a "gamer" tag on the back. (maybe i can buy a skin for it?) Gigabyte Aero 14 pros: very light looks modern and discrete (the black model) big battery cons: no TB3 loud fans (?) macro keys on the left of the keyboard.. are kind of ugh.. kind of plasticy. Razer Blade 1060 pros: looks modern and discrete (the black model), macbook-ish ok~ battery cons: overheating (?) very loud fans, coil while (?) expensive razer has a bad reputation with customer service. XPS 15" (only because its chassis is more of a 14") pros: very high quality screen aesthetically pleasing, high quality build. big battery cons: GTX 1050 - (not even a Ti) a huge downgrade from a 1060.. some rumors about QC issues (bad trackpads, not sitting right, etc.) very expensive and then theres... upcoming models : ASUS UX550 - an XPS contender, with a 1050 Ti GPU, but i will have to wait for reviews.. Was browsing Reddit and saw this beauty. After getting screwed over by Razer's CS this looks like a very tempting option for me. Can't wait to hear more about this on Monday which seems like the "official" release date. A pretty terrible rollout, the front page of Gigabyte's laptop page already is advertising an Aero 15 giveaway while they still have the countdown two clicks away from it. Anyone else on here have additional details on this?

EDIT: solved thanks anyway guys After using the steam link windows auto detected that i was getting low fps on the desktop (from the pc and link both being on wifi) and turned off windows aero now i'm haivng trouble getting it back on. I have already done some googling and windows auto troubleshooter hasn't been able to fix it. I have also tried the regedit fix to no avail. Some pictures of what im having trouble with.. windows 7 64bit

Hello! I was referred to this forum by my brother (I am an avid watcher of LTT media myself) and I wanted to see if I could produce any results from the community. My laptop specs: -Gigabyte Aero 14 v6 (mfg. date November 2016) -i7-6700HQ @2.6 GHz -GTX 1060 (laptop SKU, duh) -16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz RAM -512 GB m.2 SATA SSD -Windows 10 Professional 64-bit (OS was reinstalled in May) I bought this laptop from someone on eBay who had used it for a week. When I received it, the battery life was atrocious (especially for a 94 Wh battery) so I RMAd it and the motherboard was replaced due to a faulty battery controller. But when I received it, the laptop would suddenly crash at random (15 minutes to an hour after being turned on), going to a black screen and forcing me to hard reset. Once the school year finished I reinstalled the OS from a bootable USB drive and I had to reinstall my drivers. I have not had any crashing issues as of now (September), but when I reinstalled the Intel HD graphics driver, the laptop is always on max brightness on startup (even higher than the brightness slider can adjust to). I have tried reverting to previous versions with no avail. Any suggestions? (I have attached a picture of what happened once after a crash issue) IMG_2836.JPG 2.2 MB

What about 1080ti aero? Is it appropriate to build up ITX? My case is Ncase M1.Is it suitable for my case? I'm all air cooling. Its cooler is not as good as the founders edition, so I'm worried about the actual situation.Never OC.

Hey guys, I'm a developer currently using a base rMBP 13" (2013) with has worked great for me so far. I currently work on web technologies (node.js, django) but also started working with tensor flow recently. I need to upgrade to a new system (mainly a RAM issue) but want to get something that would be suitable for atleast 3 years. Besides that, I play about 4-5 hours/week of CSGO. I'd like to play more recent games, but my current desktop ( Phenom X6 + GTX580 ) can't handle most of them. I don't want to buy a 2017 MBP 15" since extending the budget that far is not even an option. I'll be getting rid of my desktop and plan to use the laptop exclusively. Hi, After waiting on the reviews for the Mag 15 by eluktronics, well they were not so great thermally as the GPU is temp limited at 74C I think (own or disown’s review). So I decided to go for the Gigabyte Aero 15 2019 240Hz 2070MQ. I will be getting it repasted from HIDEVOLUTION as I trust them (this will be the 4th purchase). For the same price are there any alternatives which might be better? Pretty sure there is no 144Hz variant in this one sadly. I need a thin and light with decent battery life and a 2070 at minimum since my workflow requires the power and VRAM. Thanks -
I am having the Gigabyte Laptop (i7-7700HQ) with a 512GB SSD. I want to make partition of that SSD and I want to know whether making the Partition will make the Laptop damage or not. PLease answer and clear my doubt over this.

Hey everyone, so I've recently acquired an msi GTX 1080 aero. I've been running the card as-is and the thermals are insane. So I've been looking around for an AIO solution to this but cant seem to find a clear answer. I'm relatively new at building pcs so its intimidating to drop $100+ on a cooler just to find out it doesnt work. My case doesnt allow for me to use a custom loop so that's why I need an AIO solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I bought a gigabyte aero 15x9 (i7-8750H with rtx 2070maxq)last year and the thermals were pretty crappy. But I found that with a nice undervolt and capping the max clock freq at 3.3GHz (instead of maximum 3.9GHz), I could very easily get good temps (80C cpu maximum, 78C gpu maximum). But slowly, over the course of one year, the performance has degraded so much that now I am unable to play games without cpu AND gpu staying peaked at 90C (and this is with cpu now manually capped to 2.2GHz by disabling turbo boost!) The cpu frequency even goes down to 1.9GHz which is awful and rtx card is pinned at base freq of 885MHz (I don't notice much because I game on an external 2k ultrawide monitor with G-SYNC.) Oh and my cpu can only pull 17W I have even tried thermal pasting but that didn't improve temperatures at all. Any suggestions on what I should try? Any help appreciated because gaming on my laptop is the only way I stay in touch with my friends back home.

Now we're in 2018 and uxstyle doesn't even work anymore. I want the old windows 7 buttons for default things like the explorer. I don't really need anything else. This Not this!! It's probably impossible. I mean, screw people that want to change the UI of things.

Greetings. I'm looking to buy new working station for myself, however struggle to pick the right one. The laptops i'm currently looking at, have i7-7700HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM with ability to upgrade up to 32GB, 1080p display, quite thin format and decent amount of ports and they do include TB3 & SD card reader. What makes me struggle, is few choices I have to make. If i want to go sleek design and best portability - it is Aero 15/15x without a doubt. It is as small, as possible with the tech i need and has great battery(94Wh). Another laptop, which is smaller, MSI GS63 7RG, but it has far worse battery (50Wh), and not super cheaper, to make the choice towards it. On the other side, we have a ROG GL503VS, which is a bit larger, has worse battery life, but has 1070 and 144Hz display. Notes: From "demanding" games I play World of Warcraft, Overwatch & Just Cause 3. So, not super modern FPS, but still. For other uses i'm sure both, 1060 & 1070, will perform as I need them to. Now to the questions: 1.) How superior is 1070 to 1060? 2.) Will I get 120+ frames in above mentioned games on 1070 on ROG laptop? 3.) Will I get 60+ frames in above mentioned games on 1060 on Gigabyte laptop? 4.) Some experienced reviewers or just people, who investigated for quite a bit, whats about the heat output on both of those models? Are they able to handle the 1070 or it will throttle more? Extra questions: 5.) Do you know any other laptops, which are similar to Aero 15? In other words, have similar tech and ports as well as great battery life? (75Wh+). 6) If I will go for 1060, is there anything else on "cheap" segment price wise, like Helios 300, or it's the best value option at all? 7.) Is there anything, like ROG laptop, but with better price or it's best deal for 120Hz+ & 1070 available? 8.) Is it worth waiting for i7-8700h (or whatever its called) and/or for GTX 20xx, which are speculated to be presented on GTC? Would you wait? (I have 860m & 4720hq at the moment). Hi, I really like Aero Glass for Windows but cant live with the watermark and im not able to pay for it. So I wonder if there is anyway I can get the same look for free without any watermarks, any similar software that does the same thing without me having to pay or have a watermark?

Hello guys, I formatted my laptop yesterday, I already have it for a few months and I never had this problem with my first format. So after formatting I installed all the drivers with the order 1. Chipset 2. Video 3. Audio 4. Bluetooth 5.Card Reader 6. Inter Rapid Storage Technology and everything else after. Then I started having the problem where Windows started to be really slow and this error poped up: I tried to google the error and tried every possible solution there was online. Tried to install windows updates, uninstall and re-install the graphic driver and nothing worked. I also don't want to use the Windows 7 Basic because it's ugly.
