Hey everyone! I have a Dell Inspiron 3470 at work that I used to have some weird problems with random processes having high disk usage and quite oftenly the task manager would show 100% disk usage but it wasn't very bad, it was still usable, until all of a sudden it got weirdly slow with lots of stutters in certain apps, like, I had to join a meeting on Teams and I could hear the voices just fine but the program would take forever to respond and the video would freeze for minutes, display a new frame and freeze back again. I got sick of it and used the Dell recovery boot and had it download a fresh windows to make the cleanest install as possible and yet even after a fresh install of windows I'm still having issues. When I open any browser it stutters like crazy but when I open explorer or some other apps it seems very fast like a fresh install would feel. I had a feeling it was the HDD then ran the Dell full verification, no errors were found. Ran Malwarebytes and also nothing found. I already updated everything I could and no luck, now I'm a bit lost on what could it be, any help is highly appreciated.

I recently built an i5 3470 PC and I wanted to game on it and found an RX 580 for $70 and wondering if its gonna bottleneck my i5 3470 because its that old. If you have an answer please reply

I mainly play MMORPGs (gw2, ffxiv and trying out black desert) atm so i would like to upgrade my CPU. Since i don't really need a lot of multithreaded performence, I looked at the i3 7350k and the ryzen 5 1400, but then i found the g4560 which is supposed to be similar to the 7350k while being much cheaper. Would the g4560 be a reasonable upgrade for about 100€(including motherboard) + RAM? If not, what would you suggest?

Can A combo of gtx 1060 @ 6 gb ( non oc) and Intel i5 3470 with pci-e 3 bus motherboard give me 60 or 60+ fps at all games When I say all I mean excluding cpu intended games like arma 3 and shadow of modr But I include all except these

If I use a Intel i5 3470 with a gtx 1060 6gig can I play all games (excluding the cpu bounded like arma 3, gears of warhammer , shadow of modder and ases of singularity) at high to ultra settings ( advanced hardware eaters like msaa, hair works will be turned off or low but things like fxaa or shadows will be on ) at 1080 p (60hrz monitor )at 60 + fps

Which processor is better at gaming (more fps)?

I really need help in decision. My current cpu is i5 3470 and I think I really need new cpu. Becuase of slot if I change to i7 8700 (I am not going to overclock anything) I will need to change mobo and ram too. Should I replace i5 3470 now and which is cheapest but very good cpu,mobo and ram (Also I am going to upgrade from 8 to 16/32 gb of ram) that will last me for long time? (at least for 3 years)

Run Hyper X 1866 at 1866Mhz With I5 3470 Gigabyte H61 M Ds2 How to run at 1866 currently on 1600mhz if I can't run which thing is holding back to 1600

I just bought a new motherboard along with an i5 3470. It's running fine except for the fact that the clock speed never got above 3.2 ghz which sucks as I would be losing performance and not getting that extra 400 mhz. I've tried using aida 64 stability test to get it over 3.2 but it still never got above it. Any Ideas?

So guys I've just bought an i7 2600 + 4GB of memory on the cheap to upgrade my aging core 2 duo system. It's currently running on an H61 M-ATX board which I intend to use later for a prodigy build. The H61 board doesn't allow any sort of overclocking, no partially unlocked multiplier is present and the base clock is completely locked. So I'm looking at getting an M-ATX board, an M-ITX MSI or Asus z77 to be able to up the frequency by 4 bins, overclock the BCLK slightly & then enable MSI's Enhanced Turbo or Asus's Multicore Enhancement which would hopefully allow me to take the 2600 to 4.2Ghz+ on all cores. My question basically is do these turbo features even support Sandy Bridge LGA 1155 chips ? or do they require Ivy Bridge ? I know for a fact that these exact same features are enabled on X79 and work on Sandy-E.

Apologies in advance for posting in the wrong section if this ends up not being motherboard related. At this point I assume it is. Alright, so I'm going to try to keep this short and cut to the chase without removing details. Pre-February 2013 I had an i5 3470 and a Z77-G43 as the base for my computer, along with crossfired 7950's. Everything was fine (performance-wise) except for my motherboard which aquired the most ridiculous audio issue I have ever seen (heard, whatever). So, with my planning on upgrading relatively soon anyways I went from that to a 990FXA-UD3 and an FX-8350, mainly due to a pretty good deal on the combo. This was great for several reasons, one being it fixed my horrendously aggravating audio problem. However, I now have no performance boost AT ALL from my crossfired 7950's. WHAT I HAVE DONE TO TEST: - I HAVE tested each one by itself to see if it works, and each one solo performs nearly identically (one had issues with the 13.3 Beta3 drivers, but was fine with 13.1) - I have made sure crossfire is enabled in CCC - I have run tests with Kombustor, which DOES recognize both cards and DOES show an increase in performance (yes, I know it is synthetic, but please don't kill my hopes yet) - I do my tests on Battlefield 3 and just judge the average FPS without actually trying to benchmark, although I do test the same area (Point D on Caspian Border in Conquest Large) - When testing, Afterburner DOES show usage on each card, although only about 30% on the second. While normally I average 60ish FPS when crossfired OR not, when in crossfire I notice now and then a severe frame dip here and there, and it will last for about 0.5 seconds before resuming normal behaviour. This might just be inherent from crossfire, but I figured I would mention it. Also, before it is asked, I do believe I had much better performance with these cards on my old setup (been a while between the last time I played Battlefield 3 on it and when I started again recently), and I will confirm or dismiss that belief by reinstalling my old stuff if I have to (just too damn lazy). At the moment i am planning on getting an AsRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard for my intel i5 3470. I am going to be using this for gaming and would like to spend around £100. Would you get the AsRock Z77 Extreme4 or AsRock Z77 Extreme4, or something else ? Thanks.

Hey there Im searching for a Case that has similar aesthetics to the h440 and is optimized for silence. If possible, it should feature an optical drive slot. (Which is my only complaint about the h440) I checked the low end models from nzxt, liked the aesthetic, but disliked the build quality. It also should be a midtower. I have an i5 3470, so no OC there. I plan to get a dark rock 3, because its dark . Also i want silence. Which brings me to my Gpu. I habe a 7950 Gigabyte @1125 which is a bit on the louder side. Is the h440 a good Case for my air cooled scenario, or can you guys give me a better recommendation? My focus is silence and clean aesthetic. Have a good one
