So I am trying to compress my documents using 7Zip so I can back them up. I usually encrypt them using AES256 because I don't want the cloud service I am using to scroll through my data when I upload it but I am running into the problem where 7Zips says it at 100% on the progress bar, got 00:00:00 time left but it does not show a completed screen as the speed slowly goes down for around 14MB/s to 7MB/s as shown on the screen shot. I have tried pressing cancel and opening the file but it doesn't work and I have tried changing the format for.7z (ultra) to .zip (fast) to see if that helps but it doesn't. Can you guys think of any solutions? Thanks

I have Intel 660P NVMe 1TB When i download something or update something rather the average response time in ms varies from 50ms all the way up to 2000ms or literally 2s at that point. Why is such a big latency? Is it because disk cannot spread the information on all the chips and is limited to lets say 1 chip left if you are like 80-90% full? and as soon as it gets to like 30-50ms the disk active time gets to 100% which makes my pc unusable which makes it lag really hard. I've never experienced something like that when i bought the disk in 2019. The disk is always at around 60%-80% capacity. It's kind of crazy for something like that to happen to an NVMe, the last time i was experiencing that was with hard drives lmao. quite sad. Now I know that it is ideal to have more space on the disk itself, but i truly doubt the capacity is the true and only culprit here, is it perhaps TBW? and how it compares to more than just one 1TB disk? If you have like 2TB-4TB at the same % of occupation it should still work faster, right?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this, I've built my pc, after many problems over the years, a fried motherboard, a fried ssd, 2 psus failed, etc. Well the thing is that 2 weeks ago, I was working on some rendering, when my pc shut down, and after 30 seconds I heard a small explosion, and smelled like fried transistors, so i figured it out that the psu was broken. I needed to finnish the work so I took my gpu and installed it on an other pc, to my surprise it worked better than expected even better than my pc. On my pc my gpu works at 100% and at 75-80°, its very hot, so I always open my case so I can point another fan to it, on the other pc it worked at 50% and 60° more or less, and the rendering were fast enough. I use the firestorm app to limit the gpu from zotac. I ordered another psu (a bigger one) and the gpu still works at 100% and stays very hot on my pc. My pc: cpu - i9900k ram - 64 gb (4x16) ssd - 512gb gpu - zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4090-amp-extreme-airo psu - 1300w (850w the older one) Cooling - 4 fans + liquid cooler 2 fans Software - Twinmotion 2023.1.2 Other pc: cpu - Ryzen 7 5700g ram - 64 gb (4x16) ssd - 1tb gpu - zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4090-amp-extreme-airo psu - 850w Cooling - 3 fans + liquid cooler 2 fans Software - Twinmotion 2023.1.2 I know that the Ryzen is newer but it compares to the i9900k, I just wonder, how can it be that my gpu on my pc stresses that way, I dont know how to solve this, can anyone help me? btw, I use twinmotion in ultra setting in both pcs, all the settings were the same. Thanks a lot

Heya, I was wondering if anyone of you know if there's a rubber/silicone pad/board that I could put under the key caps to dampen the sound from bottoming out and overall rattle throughout the keyboard? Thanks in advance.

Hi! Since i upgraded my setup i have poor performance, i tried some virus cleaning and installing M2 and more RAM, and two weeks ago i change my chassi and new CPU cooling so everything was in top shape. I thought i could count on taskmanager to show me correct stats, but when i changed chassi i wanted to check more on the temperature and fans speed so i had HWMonitor always on. I started to se sometimes that the CPU was on 100% and that was slowing the PC down. But when a start taskmanager to see what process that is taking that power, everything just cools down to a normal state. (se picturers, taked just seconds apart) I´ve searched for something that could help me but i get the result like, check taskmanager, clean for virus or some other troubleshooting to se with applications that is bugged. But nothing really helps and fells like this i s the same problem. I will reinstalling windows se if that helps me, but anyone who got any more suggestions? except buying a new processor.. To summarize: Bad performance, CPU is at 100%. As soon as i start taskmanager everything goes back to normal CPU and performance.

Hi, since a couple of months, my gpu usage is going nuts randomly and it's very frustrating because everything become very slow ... It happens mostly when I'm in a zoom meeting but also when I'm watching a youtube video. I have tried to uninstall both of my graphic card's driver with DDU, tried to run zoom using NVIDIA graphics card, scan my computer with ccleaner, keep up to date my system, but nothing seems to work. In the task manager, Desktop Window Manager is using to much GPU (see pictures below) and I tried to change how windows handle graphics on my computer but it didn't work either. There is also "Windows Driver Foundation - User-moded Driver Framework Host Process" thats using 10 to 20% of GPU usage sometimes. Here are my specs Inspiron 15 7559 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz Installed RAM 16,0 GB (15,9 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points GPU 1 Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 GPU 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M I also have to 2 monitors attached to my laptop, unplugging them doesn't seem to solve the problem and all the drivers for them are up to date (for the usb dongle) I started to wonder if there wouldn't be a virus who use my gpu power to mine some bitcoins

Every single game I play my cpu is always at 100% even on games like minecraft, how do I fix this? Is there something wrong with my cpu? It doesn't have any heat issues, it says it's minimum temp is 56c and it's max is 74c.

All audio including discord audio will play for a bit and then stop and a hard restart is required. Running furmark shows that the Graphics card isnt running at full speed during the gpu burn-in test with the card running at less the 1000mhz and the temps not reaching higher than 65c. Further more if i minimize the window, clocks will go to full speed(1630mhz) and reopening the window causes the same crash. Troubleshooting: I've tried updating the bios,Updating Vbios,Re-seating the gpu,Replacing the thermal paste, replacing the powersupply with a Corsair 750w, using seperate power rails for both 8-pin power connectors, updating Amd Display drivers, Downgrading Amd display drivers, Using Enterprise drivers, and messing with the power limit+/-.

I have an asus notebook powered by an 8th gen i5-8265U I am trying to do a deepfake using deepface lab....And after watching a lot of tutorials I figured out that the iter should be more than 100000 in order to get a decent deepfake while training the model I ran the training session overnight (8 hours) and I have managed to get an iter of 10000....(GPU based training seems to have a lot of issues...like the training stopping randomly and is slower than the training done by the CPU) The issue is my laptop is running at 95C the whole time....So is it safe to run this laptop continuously at 100% CPU for 5 days straight? I tried my best to keep it cool....but it does not seem to reduce the temps

Hey all, I'm having problems with my GPU. I'm getting random GPU usage spikes on the desktop watching YT videos or playing games. The usage will spike randomly to 100% and either freeze the browser or the game I am playing. Things I've tried so far: Reinstalled windows. ( different builds) Disabled overclocks and standard bios settings. Tried different nvidia drivers & using ddu to remove drivers clean. Underclocked my GPU. Flashed to latest bios mobo & reflashed GPU bios. Re seating the GPU. Re seating all the PSU connector on the mobo. Temps are fine. Been browsing the web & the forum and this user had exactly the same issue but the thread died without a solution. In this thread the user said he changed his memory and fixed the problem. Before I go out and buy new memory I want to make sure this is the issue. All these parts are new. HI! i got a new pc few daays ago: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING 16 GB Ram ddr4 two disc: a Lexar SSD (240g) and a 1 tb disc (not ssd) wind10 i't was quarentine time, and oh boy! time to play, the thing is that i got this constant error where the pc stops everything, the mouse keeps moving, but everything else is freezed, if u where writing a whatsapp mensaje it stops and when it unfreezes(it takes 15- to 40 seconds to unfreeze) the mensaje you where writing will apear.... it seems to be happening randomly, either if u are doing a document just browsing on google, or playing.... since rn its quarentine, nobody will come to check, so i decided to look for a fix myself, after some indagation i found that when it happens one of the disc (disc c the one that has windows installed) goes 100% but it isn't writing or reading or writing(if u look in proceces u can't se the 100% only while looking at the graphs) i look for information about the problem on the internet and found diferents solutions: (1) (2) those are the most common solutions i found, i did those and still, it freezes... im just a dude that just wanted to kick some butts in some games... but turned to be an idiot with a computer thats randomly freezes i'm willing to cooperate, if there's more info needed! (also it's my first pc i have, i had a laptop, so this stuff it's new to me)

Greetings ! The issue is as follows - Boot up time on Windows 10 Asus K555L Series Laptop with i5-5200U Intel Processor 6 GB RAM 1TB HDD GTX 940 M Graphics with 2 GB of Memory Is unnaturally slow , we are talking about 2+ minutes of boot time just to get to the password screen alone , another 30 to 60s to boot up the desktop and task bar. With FastBoot (forcing the laptop into hibernate instead of actually shutting down option) I get reasonable boot time though still its quite below what is expected and what once was - 30s of boot time + 10s or less on desktop with FastBoot / 50s boot time with 10s or less on desktop without FastBoot first 2/3 months. Above all of this , the hard drive seems to get clogged up at random times for random intervals DAILY 2-3 times, resulting in 99 or 100% active HDD and the most common processes that are responsible are the Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry / System / Service Host : Local Service. The laptop is barely 6 months old with the same windows 10 installment from day 1. Troubleshooting steps - Malware-bytes Swap AV software Defragment (it is automatic but tried it manually anyway) Disabled all but the necessities on boot (AV and Nvidia's Capture Service Proxy) Disabled the Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry from the task scheduler (to no success) Disabled Windows Search and the other Usual Suspect - Superfetch Did some HDD tests for any faults or errors Adjusted and disabled PageFile (re-enabled it after troubleshooting had no effect, naturally) Drivers are up to date , and Windows as well (weather I like it or not) All to no avail. I am attaching screenshots of the Task Manager and the Resource Monitor for reference, and hoping someone can come up with any ideas how to solve this issue (SSD is not an option, HDD did fine the first few months)

So my asrock 970m pro3 mobo shows my cpu temp at 37*C and I have the CPU FAN 1 setting at automatic and CPU TEM target at 65*C and Target fan speed at level 1 and the CPU fan still goes at 100%. The CPU fan is a 3 pin and the header is a 4 pin is that the problem?

I have had Windows 10 for awhile but this problem suddenly popped up out of the blue. While playing any game my Disk Usage would spring up to a 100% at first I thought it was just the game but when I go into Task Manager it showed the game using about 15 MB/s and System using around 24 MB/s I restated my computer and set the game to High Priority and it worked for about 15 minutes. This is very annoying because my GPU and CPU run the games just fine. Never had this problem until recently. I have my operating system and only that on drive C: and my games on drive D: After playing a game for about 20 min my computer completely freezes and when opening task manager it shows 100% active time and wont go down/ wont unfreeze my computer unless i restart. I can be watching YouTube, and browsing memes all day but only when i play games does my computer freeze. Edit: 3/13/17 9:12 AM I have disabled superfetch and Prefetch. I've also made sure power is not an issue and defraging is not an issue. But my problem still happens.Specs:PSU- Kingwin 850WGPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 980 SC+CPU- AMD FX 8350 @4.00GHzRAM- 8.00 GB GDDR3OS- Windows 10 Home 64-bitSSD C: - Kingston SVP100S264G ATA 60GB SSD D: - PNY CS1311 120GB

I'm having some weird issues with my i5 6600k. Sorry for all the typos but I tried to type it fast cpu: i5 6600k gpu: GTX 1060 mobo: z170m-d3h stable overclock at 4.6 no crashes through aida64 stress test. idle cpu usage is around 3-6%. but right when i jump into any game it hits 100% cpu usage right away and like 60-80% usage in main menu/LOBBY. i reinstalled steam, games, and even windows...TWICE and no lucK and no change. Games are smooth as butter but what doesnt make sense is the cpu usage. people on forums are averaging 40-50% usage in-game on a BASE CLOCK. and when i switch back to base clock i still get 100% cpu usage. temperatures are fine tho, never ever went above 51C. i was running 1.38 v for 4.6 but i tried to make my computer crash just to test if the oc was working at all. so i dropped the voltage to 1.295V running 4.9GHZ which should be an automatic crash yet it still runs stable only utilizing 1.27 v. but right now my cpu is at its base clock and i would say performance is about the same. I reset the CMOS on my motherboard and tried to force a crash and it crashed at 1.100V 4.4GHZ. I believe that my computer is reading the CPU usage incorrectly and its bottlnecking my entire PC? Ive been searching for 2 months everyday and im getting exhausted and also not getting any closer to the solution. Pls send halps ):

Hey, guys, I have an i5 4670K and a 980 TI super clocked but I've noticed whenever I game on something like overwatch or rainbow six siege games will be using alone 85 to 90% of my CPU. I will also get random frame dips and I just wanted to know is it normal for this processor to be maxing out on these games? Especially with such a capable graphics card. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay this is an update from my last post: Quick Summary of previous post: New SSD, is showing 100% disk usage with 0KB/s read and write. Whenever this happens, Resource Monitor shows no applications at all, so there's no way of seeing what's using the disk. Since my last post, I've been using my old drive as the new one was unusable. I have since reinstalled Windows on the drive around 4 times, with no other drives plugged in, and the problem still persists. The system is unusable 90% of the time. I've tried different mother board ports, and different cables, nothing has changed. Does anyone have any idea what causes this or if there's a way to fix it?

Okay really need some help here. I just got a new 240GB SSD to replace my old 120GB one. I migrated all my OS files and stuff onto the new drive and it all went fine. However, every now and then I kept getting a sudden boost of the SSD activity to 100%, but with 0KB/s read and write. The 2TB HDD remained doing nothing. So I tried repairing windows, nothing changed. Tried resetting windows and keeping files. Nothing changed. I've now reinstalled windows completely and it still happens! I have resource monitor open, everything is normal there, until the drive starts getting 100% usage, then everything under "Disk" in RS disappears. This never happened with the old drive and I'm not running anything new that I wasn't before. Anyway have any clue what's going on?

Guys currently i am on another place with my Laptop, but i experiencing serious disk problems and i need your help! So basically i have to find a way to fix random 100% spikes with my HDD without real usage. Whenever it happens the Laptop goes extremly slow and sometimes even frezes completely for an amount of time (anywhere between 10 seconds to over 1 minute) until it just kinda fixes itself and stops being on 100%. On the Task Manager HDD display shows that sometimes its just 100% spike for a second or few and sometimes it just continues up to 1-2minute and lower itself after to 0-6%. Is there any way to fix this?

Since i received my first laptop in 2014, it has been plagued with hard-disc over-utilization. I now own a new(old) laptop that belonged to my mother, which is a Sony Vaio, it too has been plagued with the same issue only much worse. From the moment i turn it on to the second it powers down. It does sometimes however settle down after a while but once it does go down it seems to go into a exteremely unstable state where the utilization does not remain c I need help in resolving this issue as im at the point where ive done everything apart from deleting system32 . All Jokes aside, id love to receive some advice on ways to remedy this issue and hopefully be able to use my computer properly again.
