Mid summer 2020 I bought myself a shiny Lenovo Ideapad 5 14 with the Ryzen 4800u. Late November it stopped charging, so I contacted Lenovo Support to arrange a repair. Well, after a week of going back and forth and escalating my case I finally talked Lenovo into arranging a repair. On the 3rd of December 2020 the laptop arrived at their repair facility. Lenovo Support on the phone promised me a 10 business day turnaround, which I found good enough for me, considering it is my only computer and I need it for the University and for my job. Low and behold the repair didn't happen in 10 business days. Not even close! After 13 days I contacted Lenovo Support on WhatsApp and asked about promised 10 day turnaround, and they responded with typical "we don't have the part, wait". They couldn't even tell me how long I should wait for! Christmas passed, new years passed and I was still getting a response from Lenovo Support as "wait" until one of a sudden on the 4th of January 2021 I suddenly got a response "your device is ready and will be shipped within the next 24 hours", which I was very happy to finally have my laptop back. Well, as it seemingly always is with Lenovo my laptop wasn't sent to me during the next 24h. So I contacted LenovoSupport again only for me to receive an answer "yeah, sorry we had technical difficulties" hell yeah Lenovo you have them not being able to provide any customer support. But I was promised by Lenovo Support that my laptop would be sent to me until Friday the same week as you could already guess - Lenovo didn't manage to send my laptop back by Friday that week. So I contacted Lenovo Support again multiple times only for them to tell me that they are working on it and have no idea when I will get my laptop back. Until one day on the 12th of January 2021 after talking to Lenovo Support again I was told that my laptop would be sent to me Monday or Tuesday (so 11th or 12th) Lenovo would finally send me back my laptop incredibly - Lenovo Support didn't lie to me this one time and Lenovo really did send me back my laptop. BUT! I received it 1.5 months later only to find out that Lenovo DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE LAPTOP! The laptop wouldn't power on upon receiving, so I opened it only to find out that great Lenovo technican couldn't be bothered (or forgot) to connect the battery! After me plugging it back in I see that the laptop STILL ISN'T CHARGING So after spending 1.5 months instead of promised 10 business days Lenovo HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WITH THE LAPTOP except for a great LenovoSupport technican unplugging the battery and shipping it to me like that! (I wasn't told by anyone that it's for safety or anything). I have exams right now (of which I already failed one because I didn't have anything to study but my phone) and I have a big threat of loosing my job, because I can't work without the laptop. I can't afford to send the laptop to Lenovo again to potentially wait another 2 months for it to lay there and come back unrepaired (the Lenovo technican also didn't manage to put the screws in the proper holes, so he put the long screw in a short hole leaving the screw halfway sticking out and short screw in a long hole). Please, if you are ever considering buying a Lenovo product - forget about it. Just got the love of God (or whoever you believe in), don't do it. Just don't. Your cheapest laptop from AliExpress will have better customer support and experience than what you will get with Lenovo. Save yourself from that and get a device from literally any other brand. Such behavior should not be tolerated, so help me bringing Lenovo to justice! Thank you all very much in advance, I am very sorry for bothering you and potentially ruining your good day with my negative story and attitude. Stay safe out there! P.S. all my communications with Lenovo can be found under (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1i3TmL48YaYX6d6XGFzMZbknIdkFj2kDG) they are in German, because I live in Germany.

Hello Guys. I bought a 2080 TI from a person. Its a RTX 2080 TI X Aorus Gaming. I tested it at his home and all worked fine. At the same day i tested it at my PC and on my brothers pc. At my PC it dont work. (My brothers pc also not) (Puple Pixel lines all over the screen) I saw that many have had that issue and just got another one with the warranty (I also have the original bill just 9months old and OVP and all that stuff) But i cant reach the gigabyte support. They wont answer on my supprot and their phone support isnt working (That said its shut down until the 10.1 but i tried today and its still not working) I just want to know if theres a faster way to get a replacement. Can i just send it to them without a support ticket? Will the warranty work for me? Because im not the original buyer? Ive never done anything with warranty thats why im asking and because the gigabyte support dont answer Thanks for your Help Sorry for the bad english

Lets say I we're to have an Aio from Corsair and it were to leak and damage my graphics card and motherboard, would they replace these items? This leak happens without me tampering with the Aio or anything, it just happens to leak one day, meaning it would be corsairs fault. So would i email them and be like "yo you broke my pc, replace my parts" and would they respond by saying ok? Or would they just tell me there is nothing they can do about it and only replace the aio?

I'm considering building a PC and wanted to know a little bit more about part warranties. I was planning to buy my parts through amazon but I'm unsure whether the parts will still be under warranty or not. I'd prefer that each part have a few year warranty, does anyone know if companies will still offer this even if it is bought through amazon or if there is another vender where i could find this? For reference, here is what I'm probably planning to buy: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Dwking77/saved/jMGY99 although I may go for a better gpu if possible such as a 2070S or 3070. If anyone can see anything wrong with my build please feel free to point it out too, I'm new to this :)

First and foremost, I do not know if this is the appropriate area to post this if it is not moderators please move it apologies in advance. Hey Everyone, I have had some problems with my MSI X570 MEG ACE motherboard since July 13th. The motherboard is covered under the manufacturer warranty. I received a replacement only to have the same issue on 7-30-20. I sent the motherboard back and received another board 9-4-20, however this time when the board arrived it was physically damaged. While the board had damage the box did not. I requested that a supervisor reach out to me as this was unacceptable. I sent an E-mail which got 0 response to technical support: I had to call again and reach out to tech support verbally to request an E-mail from a supervisor due to lack of communication. I received an E-mail on 9-4-20 from a supervisor and sent images of the damaged board. The supervisor then let me know that they did not have anymore replacements for the board I had as it was a “higher end” board and offered to have it replaced with either a X570 Unify or the X570 Godlike and asked if I would accept one of them as a replacement. I let the supervisor know that I would be fine with the godlike as the unify is a lesser board than my ACE. From September 11th to today’s date I have to keep reaching out for updates, I wouldn’t get responses at times, and finally on 10-14-20 I decided to call to see why I had not received any replacements. I had the most unprofessional phone call and worst customer service ever. Basically the phone call consisted of internal communication issues, COVID-19 disrupting the communication between the tech department and their service center, and to top it off the supervisor then began to point his own frustration at me stating that I am being unreasonable by asking for a high end board and even at one point asked me to stop talking. I had to kindly remind the supervisor that I never requested a different board that he had offered it due to the inconvenience and the unavailability of my board. At the end of the conversation I asked if he could please have his supervisor/manager reach out to my as I am not happy with the current situation and service he then began to question me as to why I needed to talk to anyone above him. It was the rudest and most unprofessional conversation I have had with MSI. I feel I have been very patient as I have been waiting since July for a working motherboard and updates. If anyone can offer assistance on a contact in MSI to help me resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

So recently I purchased myself an x570 motherboard, precisely an Asus ROG Strix x570-E motherboard. It was working fine for like 2 weeks before stuff started to get real messy. First, I never really use the front USB IO, so I never really check if they worked or not, one day I decided to plug a USB thumb drive into them and I noticed that both of my USB 3 ports were non functional. I decided to check if the plug was wrong or something and turns out one of the VBus pin on the USB 3 pin header on the motherboard was missing. I contacted the seller and ask if this is covered by warranty and they just told me to send them the board for them to take a look, I did that, then a couple days later (with the seller literally only worked on my board when I asked them about the status of my motherboard) and said they can't replace it because it might be me doing some installation error. I said, okay, fine, I accepted that it might be my fault and get them to send the board back, it arrived safely and I just use it for my work until last Sunday (10/11/2020) when the built in Wi-Fi stops working for no reason. I tried reinstalling the driver, re-flashing the BIOS even reinstalling Windows which none solved the issue. I decided to bring it to a nearby Official Service Center, to see if it's covered by the warranty. They said, yes, it is covered by warranty, I was really glad that I got a chance to finally replace this board, though they said I might need to pay a bit more because the missing pin can or cannot be part of the warranty stuff, I finally agreed on it because I really need my PC to work, they said ETA of the RMA process will be around 2 weeks. I borrowed my friend's laptop to work in the meantime and just didn't think about it. Two days later, they said the motherboard was ready, I was really surprised with how fast it was, but nonetheless happy about the fact that I would have my PC back and I can get back to work normally. I went there, did some small talks and check the motherboard, I noticed that one of the thermal pads was incredibly dirty like it was used before, but I told myself maybe they are just using it for testing if the motherboard was working. So they charge me 540k IDR (around $37) for the missing Vbus pin as the replacement for the motherboard, they said yes, the inbuilt Wi-Fi was broken, and it is covered by warranty, but I have to pay a bit for the pin to get a "new" motherboard, because I really just wanted to get back to my work, I said sure, paid them, bring back the motherboard home and reinstalled it. It won't allow me to post at all, the code says 0d on the Q-code display thing. I googled it and a lot of solution involved shorting the CMOS pin, I did that, removing the CMOS battery, I did that too, no dice. I thought either the CPU or the ram was broken so I brought it up to a local computer shop where I bought my CPU to test if the CPU was dead or not. Long story short, it was the motherboard, again. Then I decided to remove my M.2 SSD from the board when I noticed these things on the attachments. Asus told me that this board is brand new, 100% new. They had tested it and it works, supposedly. But I have severe doubt a motherboard that has been sitting inside a box can has this much dust buildup in the chipset fan. They practically replaced my new board, albeit with broken Wi-Fi, plus charging me additional $37 for a board that looks like it has been used for a while. I would understand if they can only provide me with refurbs, but this is just downright broken used motherboard which I can get for half the price online for what I have to pay for this board. I did call my country (Indonesia) Asus main office branch to ask about this issue and they seemed to be willing to help, I just don't know if I will get scammed like this again or not. I am new to this forum and I don't know if this kind of thing is allowed, I'm genuinely sorry if it isn't, I just need to get this out of my chest because I feel so betrayed by Asus. I trusted Asus product a lot, they have decent products, it's just with how they treated me this way really damage the trust I have in them. Also I apologize if my grammar is all over the place, English isn't my first language :)

I have a Logitech pro wireless mouse that I purchased within the last 2 years (can't remember where from, but it was brand new online from popular retailer and also quite pricy for a mouse). I don't have the original box and I can't remember if I registered it for warranty as I know you have to do this for some electronics. Recently the last 2 months, the right-click has started double clicking really fast twice every 1 of 3 clicks. The left click has also started to bug now as well. I have tried 'blowing' really hard underneath the button as apparently this fixes the known issue with this mouse. - It did fix it, but only works for 5 minutes and the issue happens again. I try to keep all my peripherals clean so dirt isn't an issue. I do also have an old Logitech G502 but that has also started playing up in the last few months as well lol. So... do peeps on here think I have any chance at making a successful warranty claim? I would rather ask here than go through the long process of submitting a ticket speaking with CS etc etc and then being declined. Or, should I just buy a new mouse? - (Feel free to suggest RELIABLE low-lag wireless mice that will last for at least 3 years. No budget. - I am thinking of getting a wireless Razer mouse, as I have a Razer keyboard that has lasted me since I first got it with no problems, other than their shitty Synapse software.)

Gday, I'm curious if anyone has tried a warranty claim on a gigabyte monitor for ghosting. I have a FV43U and the ghosting on it is so bad some games become unplayable and when scrolling in word documents it becomes disorientating to look at. It seems to be a common issue of the monitor. I'm thinking about to replace it with a Odessey Neo G8 or G7 any recomendations for HDR 4k monitors will be welcome. Cheers in advance

I am looking to buy a used Gigabyte RTX 3060 for 20000 INR ($245) which is a pretty sweet deal in India right now. The card is seven months old and was used for mining throughout the duration of the period. The reseller has the original receipt for it but not the box. So, it still has over 2 years of warranty period left. If something happens to the card after I buy it, would Gigabyte still cover the repair under the warranty or say that the warranty has been voided due to mining? Please help.

I. AM. LIVID. And the only way I can let out my frustration is by making an account here on the forums I've been lurking and making a post complaining about my problems. TLDR: If you buy an Asus mother board online or from a PC Shop, make sure the serial number is in your country. Cause if it's not fuck you and your warranty. Understand I'm "prosumer" type, on my pc I spend 90% of the time working on it (lotta 3D), and the rest of the time playing PC games. Unless it's a huge release like Elden Ring... hoo boi that was a month and a half... I justify spending all this money cause it helps me work and not be stuck with a PC processing all day or other bs that makes me groan, sad, and go lay down. Like 6 months ago or something I bought an Asus Pro Art x570 Creator Wi-Fi, at the time a $650 mother fuckin board. See I'm coming off a ROG B450-F Gaming, that thankfully had a bios update to support my current CPU a Ryzen 7 5800X. Shit worked great besides the fact the 64GB of ram on the system did not work when the XMP profile was enabled. I think it was just too much for old faithful. It was a good ass mobo, it served me well, I even have plans for it. I've been a long time ASUS customer generally happy, except for that old 7 inch windows tablet that was kind of shit in a way it had no business being and ruined an otherwise great little device. So I figured, fine, I can afford it. My work has been going well, we're at the end of a PC generation heading to the next. I wanna be content tho and not need to build a whole new system for a while. I want PCIE gen4 so I don't need to worry about matching PS5 read speeds if that becomes a thing. I want my 64GB of ram to just work. NVME has gotten cheaper, so I want enough storage to do whatever I need to do (I make games, NVME has been AWESOME), plus again gen 4 speeds. I don't wanna buy a whole new system right now, but I have needs. If I need an upgrade, Ryzen 9 will probably be cheap soon enough. It will be a good ass system for a good while. I also have a dying NVME drive thats only a year old THANKS ADATA YOU SHIT, NEVER AGAIN! BUT! I'm busy... I got shit I'm working on and goals to meet. I don't want to be fuckin around with data transfers and shit I hate data transfers. I know how to build a PC done it plenty, but I'm not willing to spend the time. So, I say fuck it, there's a local computer shop I go to sometimes, they seem to know their shit. Ok, I ask them to order the parts for me and install it, data transfer and all. Ehhh problems started early. Parts took a while to come in they said the mobo had to come from over seas. I kind of expected this somewhat, but also amazon had the mobo but they had a supplier so whatever. Install didn't take too long couple days working with my laptop. Then data transfer didn't take windows is fucked, ok fine at least I can recover my files and reinstall windows. Lose a day reinstalling shit and copying config files. Good news, 64bit with XMP works great! Improved game performance, nice. NVME Gen 4 speeds awesome, 40GB unity project fresh import 30 minutes, nice never fear a reimport taking multiple hours again. Then the problems start, playing cities skylines and suddenly my whole PC hard crashes and speakers making buzzing sounds. What the fuck. I think initially it's a fluke or some kind of driver issue. PC struggles to reboot, that's weird for a driver issue. So it happens again later I do display driver cleaner and reinstall, shit keeps happening. There's no blue screen, so eventually I assume something else is the problem. It only happens in cities skylines which can be admittedly intense for sustained periods. I start checking temps, and I see "something" is over 100C? I forget what i checked, but eventually I saw it was "Chipset", that seems like one of those things you never really need to pay attention to. After it happens again, and after struggling to not only boot the PC but even stop it from CRASHING IN THE BIOS. Shit was scary. Eventually letting the PC stay powered off for a while let me boot it. Eventually I see it IN THE FUCKING BIOS THE CHIPSET TEMP IS TICKING UP. I google around no real answers. Eventually I call the PC shop, assuming maybe they installed something wrong like a thermal pad since apparently Chipset is next to one of the NVME slots that's has a cover. They take it in, test it for days, they can see the crashes and see the chipset temp crawling up in bios. But according to them the area of the chipset is not melting like the 100C+ reading says it should be. They conclude the reading is wrong, they turn off the monitoring, stress test it no issues no melting, no crashing. I ask if I should just RMA it, and they say you only get one RMA with the warranty in their experience with ASUS and if the problem is technically fixed it's better to use that for a bigger problem it's a 3 year warranty after all. I think it over, fine I'll try it for a little while if it's stable ok it's not the worst. Months go by, and I'm having this other issue. Something weird with audio latency causing popping and shit. Extremely frustrating cause listening to music while I work and every time I hear a pop it snaps me out of it. I spend some time diagnosing and googling, there's VERY scattered info on what the fuck this even is. Some kind of driver issue, I dunno I do all kinds of shit I don't consider risky changes. Eventually I conclude this shouldn't be happening under normal circumstances and the nvidia driver seems to be related. I dig then I discover something, resizable bar isn't enabled... what the fuck? NOW WE GET INTO THE SHIT. I go into bios, turn it on (Auto, for some reason but whatever) doesn't work. Check online, triple check what needs to be enabled, no dice. GPU-Z confirms everything is enabled but the bio's does not have resizable bar on. Fuck. All this hardware, a goddamned 3090 (from fuckin Zotac) isn't being used to it's potential. I spent too much money ($1700 on the 3090 in early 2020) on this goddamned shit for it to not have all it's shit. I'm pretty sure it worked before on my old mobo, I know I checked and probably just saw it on then stopped looking at it like it should be. Ok fine, maybe it's a bios issue. No bios update available. Only option is customer support. Now I'm gonna summarize the support shit. Understand, I am a very very patient person and as long as I can do my goddamned job I can just deal. I understand these people are just doing their job, I've been there I don't wanna give them too much shit. But it's been 2+ MONTHS, and I have not gotten any real support on fixing this fucking problem. And I'm not even 100% sure it's their fault. Maybe it's partly AT&T's fault, I dunno. I got the same mother fucking email explaining the basic shit to enable resizable bar like 3 times. I sent them every possible amount of info they could possibly need about my PC, pictures, docs, exports, whole kit and kaboodle. They escalated my issue in November, and I've just been WAITING anything substantial and not more basic shit, I email them or chat with them multiple times to see progress. I dunno if they need to asses the info or what, eventually they realize the issue has gone on too long and I guess they escalate it again. Now I'm supposed to get a call. Ok, call never comes I contact them multiple times they keep confirming my info no call. Fuck it must be holidays, January comes I contact them again about my call. Dudes like super understanding, they kind of all have been I don't hate these people really. Sets up a call says he'll monitor it, says it should come soon, ok. 20 minutes later I SEE A VOICE MAIL. For some goddamned fucking reason their phone calls to me GO STRAIGHT TO VOICE MAIL MY GOD FUCKING WHY. I dunno whose fault this is but fuck you. Maybe it's indian scam call centers who fuck up every goddamned number in existence trying to find old people to scam. Whatever reason I can't get this goddamned call. More days go by, I call support instead of chat, bad idea these people are AWEFUL on the phone. I try to explain I can't get a fucking phone call and the lady sets up a phone all anyway. More days NOTHING. THEN! I discover there's been a bios update released. No one told me. What else am I gonna do? I update it, nothing changes FUCK. I think my music stopped popping though so that's something... I contact them again, this time i realize i should give them my housemates phone number. STILL NOTHING. GODDAMN IT. Fuck it I focus on work for a while hit a milestone, been working my ass off. I need a day to take a break, play some PC games for the day and chill, play Octopath Traveller until I beat a boss (that shit with forced HDR on is gorgeous), Then play need for speed Heat cause i need a fix. Start playing ONE race, hard crash, speaking making buzzing sound, no blue screen. >:| Ok fine, bios update reenabled the thing that senses the Chipset temp, go in bios (after struggling to get the PC to even boot) and turn off monitoring the temp on chipset. Ok... back to Need for Speed...happens again... >:| Realize I wasn't the one who toggled the setting before and I actually have no idea if the monitoring setting in the bios is what they did... Actually FUCK THIS. FUCK ALL OF THIS. Contact support again, I'm typing angry, I give them my reference number they can see I've been dealing with this for months so at the very least they know my obvious frustration did not come without patience. I even explain it to be sure. I tell them if I can't get a damn phone call, and I can't call them, should I just RMA the shit? And then I immediately get the bomb. WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THIS BULLSHIT? What am I supposed to do with this information? I'm in the US not Europe, THAT IS INSANE. And it's one thing if it's like "Oh it's gonna have to go to a repair shop in europe" or some shit, they can't help me AT ALL. So, at this point I'm pretty sure my fuckin warranty is useless and I have a goddamned $600 paper weight. Tomorrow I'm calling the PC shop to find out what they fuck they were thinking ordering from wherever the fuck they ordered from, and if there's ANYTHING they can do with this shit. And despite ALL THIS BULLSHIT, I'm buying another of the same fuckin motherboard from amazon. And my god if I have the same problems I'm DONE with ASUS. The only reason I'm buying the same shit is one the price dropped, and two I want to minimize the amount of configuration and learning I need to do so I can just forget about all this shit. Moral of the story is, know where your serial numbers come from. >:/ I have calmed down, I will watch movies...

I'm mostly here to vent about LG's crap support and crap limited warranty. I bought the LG Tone Free Fp9 last year in December after I saw the LTT review video. I've enjoyed it for the most part but this past month has been really unfortunate. The right-side Bluetooth headset case split open and when I called the LG support number, they said it was "cosmetic" damage and NOT covered under the warranty. I wear it daily to listen to music and podcast and I think the adhesive just failed to adhere. I ended up super glueing the case halves shut and clamping it overnight. Next up, a few weeks later, I go to charge the charging case with my usually Samsung Note20 charging cable and then when I go to unplug it, the plastic piece that holds the connector wires on the female jack strips out and gets stuck in the male cable. The connector wires are still visible inside the female side of the charging case. I called support and they once again, said that this was physical damage and NOT covered under warranty. I've had tons of type c devices and nothing like the 2nd incident has ever happened. LTT folks, anyone ever have issues like this with their type c devices or also hate LG support?

Any thoughts or opinions on buying Open Box GPU's from Best Buy? Been seeing some Open Box (Shippable/Excellent Condition) 4080's & 4090's being listed for about 20% off. Most recently Gigabyte Gaming OC 4080. How does the warranty work in those cases? Do you still get the full manufacturer warranty? Anyone ever bought open box? I am a guy that lives in India presently 20. I love to tinker with electronics so I always wanted to replace my ram and/or SSD or HDD myself without going to a service center and waiting for the shit to get done which could literally take a day+. It's so bloody annoying and honestly I want to right profanity but idk if that's against Guidelines so I will limit it to just my annoying. I understand there are alot of third party reservicers but come on let me fix my own laptop.

I left two videos below to understand that is happening right now I builded a new gaming rig a week ago, it was working fine for 4 days and somehow when pc was idling it crashed or whatever happend. Pc was still running, but monitor said that there's no signal per display port, hdmi says no cable connected. Keyboard and mouse wasnt working as well. So, i discovered that my DRAM light turned yellow. I tried many things.. -tried to boot with 1/2 ram sticks in every possible combination, nothing -removed cmos battery for one hour, nothing -removed cpu, by the way all pins were straight and good, nothing -checked psu cables, all looks good While pc was working fine all temps were normal as it should to be, games were running on max settings smooth and without any crashes or lags. Oh btw i changed my rams frequency from 2133mhz to its max 3200mhz, maybe they somehow just died because of it? I found that many people blamed mobo for this, and there is like 70-80% people who has this dram problem with other asus cards.. What should i do next? Should i go straight away to store to exchange this mobo a new one? Or it isnt even mobo's fault? I just dont really want to buy any more parts for hoping it will help, im feeling like i wasted all my money for nothing already Every single part was purchased brand new Thank you all Ryzen 7 3700x Corsair rm750x Gigabyte rtx 2070 windforce 2x Lpx 16gb (2x8gb) 3200mhz received_524319631823726.mp4 received_550027272283880.mp4

Please click here to learn more about restocking fees and return shipping fees. This item is covered by Newegg.com's International Order Return Policy. *Subject to applicable law It says this only, but does it provide the manufacturer's warranty other than their 30days one? And, what about amazon?

Hi Forum, tl;dr: Vive is not following EU Warranty Law and claiming that perspiration has caused water dammage to the headset in just 7 months and thus wants to charge for the repair and charge to return the device without it. After watching Linus' videos on Beat Saber, I thought to myself, what better way to get through the lockdown than to get a VR headset. Looking at which ones were available, I ended up going for the HTC Vive Cosmos. Early October, the headset started to have issues, with the Vive Console app no longer recognising the headset. However, this was around the same time MSI released a BIOS update, so after I came back from visiting the family for 2 weeks, I tried to update the BIOS and it started working again. Little did I know, the problems would come back after a few more weeks - this time even reinstalling Steam VR and Vive Console didn't fix it. The cameras during the room setup no longer showed up, so I contacted Vive's chat support. They ran me through some diagnostics and ultimately asked me to send in my headset for repair. A few days later, I hear back from a company called CTDI in Romania who are apparently the center performing the repair saying: I was shocked. The headset has not been anywhere near water. My only explenation for this is that some sweat must've gotten into the headset, following a Beat Saber session. After replying to them that I was shocked by this, they provided some pictures - see 2 of them attached. After pointing out that this must've happened through normal use, the support rep just aggressively replied: So, I started to do some research and found out that this seems to be a common issue. Warranty Policy change It seems like this is something that HTC is clearly aware of, as their old warranty policy had a carve-out in for water dammage due to "perspiration". However, this has been removed (see point 7 under warranty limitations) in the latest Warranty Policy on the website. There are countless posts on Reddit regarding the issue, [1, 2, 3] to name a few. Support contacts So I got in touch with @Vive_Care on Twitter, as many posts mentioned that they are a better team to get in touch with. They quickly replied, asking me to move it to an email where they replied that they sadly couldn't help but had forwarded it to their EU counterpart. The EU team got in touch the next morning with what was a clearly canned message: Other cases: On Twitter, someone pointed me to another Youtuber, Sebastian Ang, who had gone through this entire saga with Vive in the past and was able to get it replaced after a prolonged fight with the support team and videos shaming HTC Vive publicly. Now, as I don't have 50k followers on Youtube, I was wondering if anyone here has any advice on how to get HTC Vive to follow EU warranty law and repair the device under warranty. In the meantime, based on this experience, I strongly suggest people avoid HTC Vive products - I know I will.

I would like to highlight my experience for the community with Corsair DRAM Lifetime Warranty, and ask around if someone else also experienced the same on this. So it turned out that Corsair neglects to respect their own lifetime warranty or at least some of aspects, and in reality this is not as mature as it should. Right after my 1 year warranty expired two of my eight memory modules became faulty. I have a 4x32GB KIT (8x16GB=128GB) Vengeance 2400MHz in quad channel. Since all of the DRAMs are having lifetime warranty I have opened an RMA case for Corsair and started the RMA process. Corsair approved my RMA request and sent me a shipping label for the return package, and asked me to send all of the memory modules, even the ones which are not faulty. I have adequately packed the modules into a box, sealed it to be water resistant and sent as a registered package (wich tracking code). After a few days, Corsair Netherlands received the package, and after 24 hours I was informed about a package from Corsair, which arrived quickly, but when opened the box I could only found 2x16GB modules (1x32GB KIT). Since my RMA ticket was still in an opened state, I have updated it about the missing modules, attached the shipping manifest and a photo aswell, which clearly showed that there was a mistake on Corsair's end, they have missed sending me all of the modules. Since then more than a month passed, and Corsair neglects to make any meaningful progress on my case and this is really worrying. Do you guys have similar experience with Corsair RMA? I would really appreciate your input or any kind of advice on how to make them fulfill the RMA case by sending the proper amount of memory modules.

So I was looking on the Corsair site to check about the warranty that I get on my memory. Does that limited lifetime warranty corsair promise transfer over to amazon if I bought the RAM off Amazon. As it is only available to original purchaser. I am a bit confused of what that means? Can anyone help me understand it a bit more.

I'm about to buy G432 Headset, and i have a DIY head tracker for flight simulators. The head tracker is mounted on the Headset by two pieces of Velcro Tape, one piece on the tracker itself and the other on the headset. The one on the headset must be fixed by glue gun or small amount of Epoxy on the right side. Do you think gluing a small piece of Velcro on the headset void the warranty? I will not disassemble or remove any parts at all. I already emailed Logitech Support, but no reply yet.

I am new to this forum I had recently bought a laptop and i heard that undervolting the cpu would reduce power consumption and reduced cpu heat. However upon searching google some say it would void warranty while some say it wouldnt.

I got a computer a couple weeks ago, and I got all the parts to it except the power supply. I had some friends come over, but the power supply that was suppose to come with the computer (Separate from the computer case) would come about a week after they came over. So I did some quick (but bad) thinking, and took an old PSU from an older computer that I knew worked. Long story short, the computer power flickered on and off, the fans, and the power LEDs turned on... then off... then on etc. posted nothing. After we reset it, it would not work at all for days. I did multiple troubleshooting pages, but nothing, The new PSU came, and still noting worked. Help? I'm afraid it might be dead.

I have this experience with my Asus motherboard that has problem. It is still in the asus' warranty which is 3 years. The day that I've purchased the said component from the store, they just told me that the warranty of this component is 1 year. I used the motherboard for 13 months and then it failed. So I went to one of the Asus service center, and checked the warranty by verifying it using the serial number. Then after, they advice me to go to the store where I have bought the product. When I was on the store, they do not honor the warranty because they said to me that this component has only 1 year warranty - which is opposing to the asus' warranty period. Is it right that the store didn't honor the warranty even it is still indeed under the warranty period of asus? Or they are giving F on me? Is it the warranty a contract? What action I am going to do with this situation? PS: You can share also your point of views and experience here. Thank you.
