  1. which one should i go FHD TV Or FHD Monitor ? (mainly use for youtube and gaming )
  2. In advance of Samsung's official word a leak indicates that prices for the company's high-end "SUHD" TVs range from $2,500 for 48 inches up to $23,000 for 88 inches. Holy moly, thats expensive. So bloody expensive. I know Samsung is really pushing the "high end" nature of these sets but for the love of god... I'm trying to understand how a 88" TV in this era can be 23 grand, given what Sharp charges for theirs or what 70" sets these days cost already. Oh wait, it has Quantum Dots. Automatically makes it worth it... http://www.cnet.com/news/samsung-suhd-4k-tv-prices-leaked-super-expensive/
  3. hey guys can someone tell me is this good tv? http://www.digitalversus.com/tv-television/lg-40ub800v-p22227/test.html or should i get something bigger in 1080p still have CRT and will replace it soon enough... LG have some actions for 5 years warranty, any other trade i can look in to? for long warranty and not so breakable (like my warranty is out next day TV will die or something) EDIT: is 4k even worth on 40-42" tv?
  4. SUHD -- the S doesn't stand for anything, according to Samsung, but the UHD is longhand for 4K -- is Samsung's branding for what it claims is its best LCD picture quality yet. More than one company representative told me that, despite being based on LCD, the JS9500 SUHD TV rivals the picture of OLED, the best TV technology ever. The models I saw in person did look very good for LCD, but I'll have to wait until I get them into the lab next to an OLED TV to know for sure. Samsung has announced three series of high-end SUHD LCD TVs for 2015, consisting of nine total models, and the JS9500 will be the most expensive (although pricing has yet to be revealed). Its main step-up over the other two series, JS9000 and JS8500, is a full-array local-dimming backlight with "hundreds" of zones (Samsung wouldn't specify exactly how many), which should deliver brighter highlights and deeper black levels than the edge-lit backlights found on the other two. The JS9500 comes in just two big sizes, 88 inches and 65 inches, and both have curved screens. The 88-inch SUHD TV revealed at CES 2015.Sarah Tew/CNETSo what makes them "S"? In two confusing words: quantum dots. The dots themselves are actually nanocrystals -- really, really small crystals -- applied to the blue LEDs that comprise the backlights of these LCD TVs. They emit specific wavelengths of red and green which, combined with the blue LEDs, can achieve brighter images and a wider color gamut than conventional LED backlight technology. Samsung says its SUHD sets achieve up to 1,000 nits in light output, compared with 300-500 for a typical LED LCD TV. It also says their color approaches, but doesn't quite achieve 100 percent coverage of, the DCI color space, which is significantly wider than the Rec 709 color space used for almost all in-home content today (in other words, the wider gamut isn't of much use today, despite Samsung mentioning one-off collaborations with Fox in its press materials). Beyond the dots, SUHD TVs also employ a new panel technology designed to further improve contrast in bright rooms. original artical by cnet: http://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-un65js9500/
  5. Hello; I scored a good deal on an LG 55UB9500 4K TV and am pretty stoked to be putting it though its paces. However I ran into a problem with Netflix and Youtube, as neither of them will stream in 4K. I found the issue with Netflix is that it will only stream in 4K to the smart apps native to the TV. Here's an article by former EIC of MaximumPC Gorden Ma Ung TL;DR http://www.pcworld.com/article/2858474/why-you-cant-get-4k-netflix-and-amazon-on-a-pc-or-mac-even-though-theyre-capable.html So is Youtube the same issue? I can use the TV's native app and get 4K content, but not if I'm streaming it from my PC Yes my PC can handle it and yes my internet can handle it (R9 290, and 50MB net) Games can be played in 4K so we're good there. Why can't I Youtube in 4K? Youtube doesn't really translate well to an app due to the realtively short duration of each clip and the number you plow through in 30 mins jumping around and such. Thanks for any insight!
  6. just hypothetically speaking will 4k gaming be possible on ultra high with everything maxed out on a 4 way sli gtx titan x
  7. I've already seen the Panasonic LUMIX GH4 which seems like an amazing DSLR but in the way of good camcorders. NEEDS: - Support for at least 128GB sd card - Capability to attach shotgun microphines and video viewers (or whatever they are called) - Good quality
  8. Dear friends, Good day. I would like to hear your opinions on my concern. I own a very old rig based on LGA 775 and I cannot play games any more. In general, as you understand, I cannot do anything. Even my internet browsing has become very laggy. So I feel like building a new one. I am interested in building with the following specs: Mobo: Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5 (or MSI X99 Gaming 7) CPU: Intel Core i7 5930K RAM: Corsair DDR4 16Gb (4x4Gb) 2800 MHz Vengeance LPX BL PSU: Corsair HX 1000W 80+ Platinum Modular Graphics: 2x MSI GTX 980 4Gb OC V1 (SLi arrangement) Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Please note that I already own HDDs and 2 Corsair SSDs on RAID 0 so I do not need disks at all. I also intend to watercool my future rig. I already own a 2x12cm rad, a small tank and a very good pump, Swiftec MCP 655. I would like my new PC to be capable of 4K gaming. I am also looking for a good 4K monitor. Do you think that I should purchase a gaming PC monitor or a high-end Smart-TV which also delivers very useful technologies as DLNa, USB playback and recording, very high refresh rate etc and of course much more inches and inputs? On this matter specifically I am very confused... Why the gaming community insists on buying gaming monitors while the latest TVs have the before mentioned technologies as well as very high specs? Guys please spare a some time to share your thoughts with me. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
  9. I am planning to get a new monitor. I have a budget of around 500AUD. With 3 monitors in mind: LG 29UB65, AOC i2367FH and Samsung U28D590D. The LG monitor is a 2650x1080 ultrawide IPS display with a contrast ratio of 500,000:1 The Samsung monitor is a 4K UHD 16:9 non-IPS display with only a contrast ratio of 1000:1 The AOC monitor I might be using two of them because it is borderless. Specs: 1920x1080 16:9 IPS display with a 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio Please help me decide. PS My uses are for high school study and a fair bit of gaming
  10. Found this $400 4K Monitor on ebay:(http://www.ebay.com/itm/Perfect-Pixel-QNIX-UHD2800-REAL-4K-UHD-28-3840x2160-DP-HDMI-Virtual-5K-Monitor-/141588070279?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f74e7f87&rmvSB=true) I actually bought one and just got it in the mail today. All I can say is it's a really nice Monitor.
  11. Hello there, I'm from Belgium, I wanna buy a decent UHD tv, but I'm completely lost. It's just I can't find e-shops and real shops to sort the screens to get what I want (if it's possible). They just give irrelevant infos to me, like 1200 hz, and most resellers don't even understand my language and are unhelpful to me. I've read most of topics here and other sites, as well as some reviews like http://www.anandtech.com/show/9342/4k-htpc-hisense-tv that told me to look for : HDMI 2.0a HDCP 2.2 4Kp60 4:2:0 at all component resolutions 4Kp60 4:2:2 at 12b and 4:4:4 at 8b component resolutions Audio Return Channel (ARC) So long story short, what I would want : - UHD - able to accept 4k 60fps signals (would love to connect it to my computer) - 50" - 55" size would be the sweet spot, but larger is okay if price doesn t explode - 4/4/4 chroma, or 4/2/2? I don't know exactly what I should be looking for, I would love to know your opinion about chroma (and future blue-rays uhd), HDR, and how can it be used through a gtx 980ti? - possibly in the 500-1500€ range? - what about ARC and content protection schemes? I would hate it being unable to view uhd blue rays - 3D capable (but optionnal) - "decent" input lag/latency and firmware, just so I can play a bit and not deal with awfully slow menus. - decent support (but optionnal, if I buy a chinese screen I'd let it go obv, it's just I'd rather go for a well known mark) I also don't know much about how and where to purchase (like the hisense seemed a US-only trade). Ty for reading, I would love your inputs!
  12. Hey all, I'm looking for a monitor for my build, its pretty much done but the only thing I am on the fence on is the Monitor. I definitely want a 27 inch monitor I will be doing Gaming, Photo Editing and some music recording. I'm looking for something under 10ms and I would prefer an IPS panel, I don't care if its 60Hz I would much rather have an impressive screen then response time, I do like the finish the be glossy but not to glossy, also UHD displays are welcome. I would like to keep it under $500 but if it is a really good monitor for a little more go ahead and recommend it. (The one I had in mind was the Dell S2715H)
  13. Hi i am looking for, Well the best 4k monitor i can get for around £500. ~ Currently have a GTX 970. should be good for a while. ~ Would be used for games. I don't mind not having g-sync as an option. But if it is not that much more .. And as far as I/O a single display port would be fine. If you know of any good ones. Cause there is a lot to choose from. Cheers .
  14. This is not: - going to be about 4k media not being available yet - going to argue 4k is "inferior" to 1080p (more detail content=bigger screens. Yay) - going to be about monitors This is about the technology, even with 4k content, not being measurably better to the eye than 1080p in most consumer TV sizes and viewing setups. STRAP IN FOR A LONG READ IF YOU WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING ----------- Personally I am getting tired of all of the misinformation out there and questions about 4k vs 1080p This post should serve as a first and final stop for all of those considering buying a 4k tv, and if read in its entirety, should give users the information they need to make an informed purchase and possibly save some money. If this doesn't help any more than Linus' videos on the subject have, then no one can help you XP First Off: 4k monitors have value Before I rant about 4k, I want to put out a disclaimer that (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) this is not directed towards 4k monitors. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I only really have first hand experience with TVs, and though the principles are applicable, I am not sure and don't want anyone looking for monitor advice to take my word for it. Resolution is all about viewing distance vs. pixel density, and when you are sitting so close to a panel, <2' for instance, you can see a difference in a 4k panel vs a 1080p vs a 1440p (though for smaller screens <32", this may even be debated...) Main Attraction: What is Resolution? Resolution is essentially the number of colored blocks that make up the image you see. generally, the higher the pixel density (number of pixels in a square inch of screen), the clearer and more detailed your image can be. The "value" in wanting a higher resolution screen is that as you increase the resolution, your picture can become more clean and will appear as a picture instead of a bunch of colored blocks. As an example, if you needed to make a 2d (1 layer flat) circle out of lego's, but only had four regular bricks, you would get a rectangle no matter what way you connect them. However, if you were given lets say 10 legos, you would get a jagged shape that, from far away, could look somewhat circular. As we get more lego's, we approach our image of a "perfect circle" (obtained at infinite lego's). 4K vs 1080p Lets continue to use examples and keep things simple. Lets use 1 human hair thats 4 times thicker than normal to represent our 1080p resolution, and 4 human hairs closely tied together (same final thickness as our single thick hair) to represent our 4k resolution. If we put the hair and bundle of hairs on our computer desk and looked at them from 6" away, we would clearly be able to see each of the 4 hairs defined, and the 1 single thick hair defined. If we were to move 2 feet back, the 4 hairs start to look like 1 thick hair, yet the 1 thick hair still looks like 1 thick hair. By the time we move back a full 6 feet, we would be hard pressed to see a difference in either, and would guess that there is only 1 thick hair in each stack. This is how viewing distance plays into resolution importance. If you noticed, you do see more detail when sitting closely to the "4k" hair display This, however, leads into the uselessness of 4K in the home theater. Just as we see the 4 hairs as 1 from 6' away, so would we see 4 pixels as 1 on a tv (unless the tv is large and the pixels are huge, but more on that later...). No matter what, from 6' away (in this example), you are going to get the same perceived image of one pixel no matter what. The only benefit of having the 4k is that you would know you have the 4 pixels there, even though you cant see them (kind of like the money you cant see anymore cuz you wanted to buy those extra pixels). So when do pixels get big enough to see? As you increase screen size, your pixel display size generally becomes bigger to keep the proper resolution ratio (resolution can mean different things depending on which kind of resolution is quoted, but ignore this for the purpose of this discussion). For example, sitting 1' away from my 1080 27" monitor, I cannot distinguish any pixels individually. Yet sitting the same distance away from my 1080 60" tv showing the same image 1' away, I can clearly see the little colored squares instead of the image. But, sitting the proper viewing distance away from both (1' for the monitor and 7' for the tv), I essentially have the same perceived picture That is the bread and butter of this post, if you sit the same distance away from a source and increase the resolution, you get to a point where you can only see the image and IT CANNOT BECOME ANY MORE DETAILED!!! Below is a sizing chart that I will explain: Pick a point at a viewing distance and a TV size, EX. 60" at 8' (aprox. recomended distance). Anything above the point will decrease the "perceived detail". Anything below will deliver the same "perceieved detail". <ie. you will see the SAME THING WHETHER YOU HAVE 1080P or 4K or 10000K The general rule of thumb I have learned from my experience in other HT forums IF YOU ARE THINKING OF SOMETHING 70" OR BIGGER, CONSIDER(only consider!!) 4K OTHERWISE< SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET SOMETHING WITH BETTER PQ AT 1080P SINCE YOU WONT SEE A DIFFERENCE p Bottom Line! MANY MANY MANY reviewers have proven time and time again that at regular viewing distances, even the most experienced videophiles cannot recognize a difference in 4k vs 1080 (viewing 4k and 1080p content of course). google it. http://www.cnet.com/news/why-ultra-hd-4k-tvs-are-still-stupid/ Picture quality is so much more important than your resolution when buying a tv, to the point that 4k is essentially a marketing gimmick for sizes smaller than 70". so, not even mentioning the fact that 4k content is rare, it is a complete waste of money AT most common sizes!!!!! What to Buy I have personally tested more than 10 tvs in my home in the past 2 months; curved, 4k, LED, and Plasma. All 55" or 60" UNTIL I FOUND MY F8500 PLASMA, My favorite was the E-series Vizio. since it was only $1000 for a 60" model and the blacks, picture recreation, and quality for the money blew everything out of the water (yes, 4k and curved sets included). If you really want a good TV, ignore the gimmicks (4K <-- hopefully you see it is pretty gimmicky at this point, 3D) and focus on your PQ. If you are on a budget, look to vizio's E-Series. Excellent black levels and local dimming, and by far the best value for your dollar. (60" for less than $1000) If you have the coin ($2000-$4000) AND CAN FIND ONE get a plasma: Panasonic ST60, VT60, ZT60, Or a F8500. All of these except the 64" F8500 are discontinued. OLED tv will be the next best thing in terms of PQ, though some LEDs get close, but are still unseemingly expensive. What do I have? I lucked out and found an F8500 Plasma at my local BB that an online purchaser never picked up, and swiped it for $2500. It blew away every single tv I had tested, and it was by far the best money I have every spent. Conclusion: Bottom Line, this is a computer based forum. 4K monitors DO have their place in this world, so most of the answers you are going to get here come from a background of assuming 4k is better than 1080p no matter what. Since alot of pc guys may not cross over to the realm of home theater tech... As i have quietly mentioned (lol) above, unless you are looking into projectors (usually 80" or bigger and will always benefit from increased resolution), or tvs much larger than 70", I GUARANTEE you would not notice a difference between a <70" 1080p and 4k TV at the recommended (~1.5 times diagonal tv size) viewing distance, other than the $1000s you could still have in your wallet. Look into some Home Theater forums to learn more if you are interested in getting a good TV for your money, there are a couple I am on but I wont post links out of respect for LTT (PM me for more information). Why waste the Time Doing This? I am tired of consumers being hoodwinked by big box companies into buying something they don't need. ie, Spend $100 on this cup cuz its made of carbon fiber, you dont need it to be CF, but its cooler and newer so it must be better at holding water than a $0.02 red solo cup. I went out and got some knowledge on the subject and want to pass it on to as many people as I can. -------------- Hopefully this helps and saves you guys some money, PM me with any questions, Josh
  15. Hey all, I am looking for the best monitor setup for myself. I'm looking to pay no more than $400. I'm going back and forth between two 16:9 1920x1080 (23") monitors or a single 21:9 2560x1080 (29"). I really want an IPS display because I'm getting sick and tired of the crappy TN panel I've dealt with the past 2 years. The primary use of the monitors is for Gaming (A lot of GTA 5 when it comes out) and Content Creation (Photoshop, Premiere Elements, Flash Animations). I have a GTX 760 with an i7 4770K. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that it would be far better to go with the two 1080p monitors as I also stream. Any recommendations for a good 1080p IPS Monitor?
  16. That is one Bad Ass Drone Design.. DJI Inspire 1 Worlds first prosumer drone that will eclipses both current uber generation High definition drones in terms of astonishing price rate & breath taking 4k image quality.. The drone's price range begins with the base unit with one controller for $2,899, but DJI will throw an additional remote for an extra $500(oh thanks ) One rocks a three-axis gimbal mounted camera capable of shooting 12 megapixel images and 4K video. The default camera ships with a 94-degree field of view Lens: it has a Lens with f/2.8 (20mm equivalent) that has 9 Elements in 9 groups Aspherical lens element which has an Anti-distortion filter & a UV filter, 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor , 94⁰ wide-angle FOV & a 3-axis, 360⁰ rotating gimbal Video recording: By default the device is set to record a minimum res of 720p But it gets even better it captures images of upto 4k But the frame rates are kinda disappointment max 25 fps for 4k at this moment (acceptable for 4k), UHD (4K) at 4096x2160p at 24/25fps max & with 3840x2160p at 24/25/30 frames per second.. & maximum video bitrate for storage is 60Mbps Camera: Modular & upgradable and camera system can be removed from the aircraft for safe transport and future upgrades Battery: The drone can hold it's ground for 18-20 minutes max according to test with a 4500mAh battery with operating range temperature being -20°C to 40°C.. The Inspire 1 is still pretty pricey for the average drone enthusiast, but it's cool to see design like this with this features enter the market even at this price range, looking forward to your review Linus This is not the worlds very first 4k video capture drone, but an open consumer device that is almost quite affordable, also it's a quad copter compared to hexacopters that use heavy cameras to record 4k videos. What do you guys think? Leave your thoughts/comments & rants down below.. oh & the pre-orders start today on these babies.. Bonus: Check out OK Go's Video that is shot entirely with drone:(this one is done by hexacopter with custom camera but needed manual video stabilization post production) the inspire 1 does stabilization outta the box as default need not post edit correction on video except color correction Original Link: (lots of interactive design diagrams) http://www.dji.com/product/inspire-1/ News Link: http://www.engadget.com/2014/11/12/DJI-Inspire-4k/
  17. Nobody wants 1080p'ness anymore Well it's holiday season after all, According to DisplaySearch report global TV shipments suggests consumers may be ready for new TVs this year & is mostly focused on new screen resolution which dwarfs previous HDTV resolution & fresher models and that is Ultra HD Televisions. According tot Displaysearch, more than 3 million 4K televisions UHDTV's shipped to retail outlets during the third quarter this year , bringing total shipments for 2014 up to 6.4 million in total shipments. According to the report currently China is the leading market for 4K TVs which is accounted for more than 60% of global shipments last quarter. Samsung leads the global market for 4K televisions with a 36 percent share Increased TV shipments in the third quarter also suggest retailers have high expectations for Black Friday, and even pre-Black Friday, sales While overall global TV shipments improved this quarter, the TV industry has suffered several quarters of weak growth. Annual TV shipment growth averaged less than 1 percent in the first half of this year, 4K TVs are expected to reach a fever pitch next quarter, as broader competition and lower price points continue to drive demand, said Paul Gagnon, director of global TV research at DisplaySearch ... What are your thoughts on this? Post your comments down belooooooow.. Link: http://www.cnet.com/news/4k-tv-shipments-soar-to-6-4m-in-2014/
  18. Question.. Whenever I watch 4k videos on youtube it basically won't work, it just starts "stuttering" and struggles to load each frame. This renders it unwatchable. I'm using firefox, and have a 6 mbs upload 15 mbs download. Does everybody have this issue? If not what would be the likely bottleneck on my system? It would be nice to know some people can watch 4k content on a 4k monitor on youtube with no issues? I figure if not this would be a youtube problem.
  19. Hey guys, First time poster on the forum here, however I have been a long time viewer of Linus's. I was hoping to get some of your opinions on the new 4K HTPC setup I have been debating recently. I have purchased a nice and shiny new 4K TV, and am now looking to upgrade from my existing 1080p android based HTPC setup. More specifically, I am looking at the Intel NUC BOXD54250WYK1 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856102052&cm_re=nuc_intel_5000-_-56-102-052-_-Product) with the low power i5-4250U and Intel HD 5000 integrated graphics. From what I have read, the HD 5000 can handle 4K video with relative ease, and supports the new h.265 format. I am not concerned that it does not come with HDMI 2.0 built in, as this would only be used for 4K video, and not gaming (not like it would handle that anyways ). I also know Intel's next generation NUC 2.0 units have been leaked (http://www.fanlesstech.com/2014/08/exclusive-intel-readying-nuc-20.html), offering up the new Broadwell chips with the newer 6000 series integrated graphics. This is my debate.... should I go ahead with the current gen NUC with the 4K capable HD 5000, or do I wait for the NUC 2.0s to hit the market with possibly better 4K support and a similar price point? Granted I am assuming from what I have read on the new NUCs, the successor to the i5-4250U will likely be the i5-5250U with the HD 6000 gpu. This makes sense as the HD 5000/6000 both appear to be the lowest end GT3 series gpu's based on the Haswell-U/Broadwell-U chips respectively. However to further complicate things, it looks like the 6000 series GT3 gpu's are getting a significant TDP reduction (30W to 15W), at the cost of gpu clock speed (200MHz to 100MHz). Among a few other changes that have hit performance due to the lower TDP. Here is my source for this info: HD 5000: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2468/hd-graphics-5000.html HD 6000: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2626/hd-graphics-6000.html Assuming this is all true, this leads me to think I would be better off with the current HD 5000 for the 4K performance? I should also clarify that I am trying to stay around the $300 price point for my HTPC (not including the SSD, RAM ...etc). This is why my choice is the i5-x250U based NUCs. I am interested what you guys think? Thanks!
  20. When 1080p HD is not enough Own an Overpriced 4K UHDTV & want to pay even more for the service? why not switch to 4K stream? it's been a while since Netflix stated to get on the 4K bandwagon , We got quite a few shows in 4k such as Breaking Bad & House of Cards on 4K recently,Good news is that for those who've already signed up for a 4K-enabled account, it won't affect your price & it will not change until August 12th of the year 2016 But If you’re a new subscriber or a current subscriber who hasn’t already enabled 4K content, your monthly price will be $11.99 (vs the standard $8.99 that most new subscribers pay which, itself, went up from $7.99 back in May). Thats a hike of about 33%. Leave your thoughts & rants below , Also tell me what are your thoughts on 4K & it's pricings , do you think 4K is un-nessesary thing to go after for a premium experience.. http://techcrunch.com/2014/10/11/netflix-raises-the-price-for-those-who-want-ultra-hd-video/
  21. was viewing UHD displays and came acrost this nicely priced high quality curved display from Samsung. was viewing specs from off site as full details are not spacifically on the Samsung website. I checked; HDMI is HDMI 2.0 so 60hz is real for input however "Enhanced" 120HZ caused me to raise an eybrow... or two. What is this "Enhanced 120hz" is it simulated or real and can it accept this through HDMI 2.0? of course either way a graphics card configuration that can handle that is an issue. I for one would love to see a full rundown in LinusTechTips on if these newer samsung UHD tv's could be used as fullon gaming monitors. hows the refresh rate grey to grey for ghosting? i know 55" is big but hey some games are awsome Cinema STyle shaawing;) forgot to mention its only 1,700$ Video: Digital Tuner ATSC Video Signal Standard 4K UHDTV Standard Refresh Rate 60 Hz Enhanced Refresh Rate 120 Hz Motion Interpolation Technology Clear Motion Rate 960 Maximum Resolution 3840 x 2160
  22. Can anyone explain to me why 4K content on youtube lags and glitches on my system? Specs are in the description- pretty high end. Happens both in Chrome and IE. Just to say my CPU usage is only approx 40% when playing 4K. Any help would be much appreciated Edit: Not an Internet issue - I have 60mb down 10 mb up
  23. Greetings!!! I've been using the dell wide screen monitor (u2913wm) with a resolution of 2560*1080p. I recently got a samsung UHD tv. I want to run both the monitors with the same pc. However when I do this the resolution on the dell monitor is really messed up and I've tried a lot to fix this but failed !!! (The dell monitor runs on 2560*1080 but the icons and fonts/texts look weird) can any one please help me with this!!! I want to be able to use these screens in extended mode!! the uhd tv runs perfectly fine in 4k no problems at all!! just that the extended monitor looks weird!! (tv is connected via HDMI cable and the dell monitor with a dvi cable) thanks!!
  24. first of, here is a video of what is happening (albeit terrible quality) sorry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H9Fe3Bv01M this currently happens on every game I tested: world of warcraft metro last light bioshock infinite call of duty ghosts I have gone through many different routes to fix this problem: different driver installs (geforce 335.23 & geforce 337.50) different game setting configurations different global driver setting configurations different display port cables the only fix being to disable sli and run the monitor off only 1 GPU. the problem is I dont think it is an sli issue, I think its the display controller inside the monitor. unless I can get a firmware update to the monitor or if we find out that this is infact a gpu driver issue than I will be returning this monitor. currently with this problem games are unplayable with sli enabled. the bottom portion of the screen going black every 2-10 seconds really takes you out of the game.
