So, a couple days ago when i wanted to turn on my pc so i did, i put my password and after pressing enter it took really long. When windows finally booted, there were no icons on the desktop and i could not open apps on the taskbar. The desktop behaved like a application that is not responding and sort of "refreshed" a couple times. Eventually it did sort of load. However, many apps would not start and show a error that i don't fully remember [it said something like: the service you wanted to run is not installed]. That included task manager and the setup.exe program on a bootable windows usb stick. Also networking did not work. So i reinstalled windows [clean install] and the issues were mostly fixed. But the following morning, i had similar issues to the previous day. I also did not mention that i had a issue where sometimes when booting it would say: windows needs to be repaired. But sometimes it would simply boot into windows. It did work a couple times but then one time when it booted, there was no networking once again. Then the networking worked. I flashed the bios right as i was typing this post. Also, right before i flashed the bios, windows booted into the setup screen you see after all files have been moved from the USB to the drive. So, does anyone know what is the cause and how to fix it?

Ive been loving Helldivers 2 lately, however I have been becoming increasingly frustrated with the games wild performance. I recently bought a 7900xtx and been cruising between 90 - 120fps at 4k depending on how crazy the game got. But in the past week Ive noticed strange performance when playing. Before this week I would get ~30% cpu usage with good temps, mid 60s and 100% gpu usage with temps around low 70s. I started playing this week and have been getting high cpu usage on my 5900x, around 50-60% and temps in the high 70s (~77 C) and my gpu dropping to 70% usage, and as time went on in game it would even go as low as 50%. I also noticed during this time that AMD Adrenalin software refused to work while playing Helldivers and Helldivers only. If it was open it wouldnt show up and if I did get it to finally show it would instantly crash. While playing I noticed that Adrenalin was also taking up a lot of cpu usage, combined with Helldivers it would sometimes get to 70%. I looked it up and people said to enable admin in the setting. After doing that it has been slightly better, I no longer dip into 50% gpu usage and Adrenalin software now works while playing, however I still get dips for the gpu into 70-80& and high cpu usage and temps at times. This seems to only happen in missions, while in the ship I get 100% gpu usage but when I enter a mission and time goes on it dips lower and lower. I find this incredibly weird as the wattage the gpu is pulling is stupid high. I'm pulling anywhere from 400 to almost 500w while only using 70% of the gpu. These performance issues have only been happening in Helldivers 2. Everything else has been running fine. If someone could help me out, whether its the game or my PC it would mean a lot.

Hi, I got a Ryzen 7 5800X and it's running always at top clock speed and I don't know why. I'm worried about its health and the damages it could cause, can you guys help me and enlight me on this subject ? Is it normal ? excessive ? and what should I do ? It has always been that way, and even after fresh restarts (reinstalling windows) it's still the same. Like when windows is absolutely naked, it runs at 4.2 GHz at 0% usage. I'm worried I even changed the motherboard, and I guess this excludes all kind of overclocking (which I didn't do) because it's been the same before and after the switch. Please help

So I'm having some issues with OCing my setup after upgrading RAM and PSU, specifically OCing the CPU and RAM. I also upgraded graphics but I don't think it's related to the issue. I feel like it's something simple and I'm just being daft. Everything listed here is from memory as I'm away from home. I literally stayed up all night to try and figure this out. To preface I currently have a Ryzen 7 2700(not x), ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero WiFi(most recent bios it would flash without black screening is 6201), Radeon RX 7600xt, 64gb ddr4 3600mhz TForce Vulcan Z Ram (4x16), and a 1000W Gigabyte UD1000GM PG5 PSU. The only way the system will post is if I leave everything default or use the mildest auto OC. CPU target is ~3200mhz I think, but ram was only 2400mhz. Used to I could OC my CPU to ~3.9-4.0ghz stable but now if I touch it or the ram it fails to post, everything spins to life but no power to peripherals and black display until it gives me the boot failed bios memory reset or whatever after like 3 auto reboots. In CPU Z both clocks are reading correctly (except ram is only 1200mhz with ddr and all). Lastly only half of my ram is showing up as usable and half is hardware reserved. I don't know how to change that and didn't see anything in bios though it does pick up all 4 sticks but shows memory as ~32gb. Hopefully someone can help!

My computer started having this issue where when I opened certain intensive games, I would get visual glitches and coil whining. Now, depending on the game only one happens, or the other or both. Also, the coil whining goes through my headphones. At least, I think it is coil whining. Its basically a screeching sound that keeps going until after a few seconds it'll mute all audio, showing back up a few seconds later. If I mute the applications audio it still screeches, sometimes it'll blast my audio so loud that its deafening. The audio also makes noises outside of games, like when I'm watching Netflix or YouTube, it'll do an occasionally popcorn crunch sound. I've tried a DDU, fresh install of drivers, reseating the GPU and that's all. I'd like to mention that I use HDMI audio and graphics. I also have a Bluetooth USB that I use to connect my wireless headphones, where I hear the "coil whining" from. Honestly, I would just like some pointers to which part I should replace. From the research I've done online, it seems like a replacement is in order. I just don't know whether or not this is a graphics card issue, a PSU or motherboard. If anybody knows how I could deduce the issue I would be willing to try, but really I just want to replace parts and be done with it.

Hi everyone, I seem to be having issues with framerate dipping when playing games, even those that aren't the most GPU or CPU intensive. When opening task manager and observing the performance of my computer, I've seen that usage for my GPU dips from 70% to 20% and sometimes even as low as 4%. When this happens the framerate dips immensely and while this happens occasionally, it's still pretty annoying. I was wondering if anyone had some advice as to how to solve this? OS: Windows 10 GPU: AMD Radeon 6750XT CPU: Intel i5 10600k Memory: DDR4 16 GB 3200mhz Memory usage remains constant at 50% when gaming and CPU utilization ranges from 15-17%. Temperatures are also normal with the GPU barely getting to 70 degrees Celsius

Hi everyone, I am at a bit of a loss. I have a pretty badass PC, RTX 4090, 7800X3D, 32gb of ram, gen4 SSDs. It generally treats me well but when I connect my Samsung 4k tv to it, the whole computer hangs and is totally unresponsive for between 1-3 minutes. I am using HDMI 2.0 for the TV as all of my DisplayPorts are taken up by three monitors. Making other changes like switching the TV to game mode (120 hz) from regular mode also cause this hanging to happen. It does not happen when unplugging the tv. It does eventually work, but its very strange that it happens every time. This kind of thing has never happened to me with my laptops or older desktops. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if I have forgotten any details. I have no screenshots to post as the issue is just a freeze. Thanks!

alright so the problem is that when I launch a game my screen randomly goes black within a few minutes, its inconsistent and only happens most of the time, and the audio either loops, as in like when I'm shooting in the game it just keeps looping that sound or it just straight up freezes, this used to happen when I wasn't in a game too but I managed to fix it (I think) but the funny thing is that when the screen went black in my desktop when I pressed a button on my keyboard I hear an error noise, all of these problems can only be fixed when I either hold down the power down button or I pressed the hard reset button on my case. Also, my gpu wouldn't turn on with my pc so I reseated a couple of times till it powered on. Here is a list of what I tried in order to fix my computer: 1 :reset bios 2 :update bios 3 :reinstall graphics drivers 4 :disable XMP 5 :disable ULPS in reg editor 6 :sometimes the screen would be black when I started it so I reseated the ram till it worked 7 :reseated gpu 8 :updated Windows 9 :put my power plan on balanced instead of ultimate performance and that's about it, here's a list of my pc components: Zotac twin edge before rtx 4070 12gb gpu AMD R5 7600x cpu asrock b650m pg riptide mobo cooler master g700 psu oloy blade ddr5 5600mhz ram samsung 980 SSD hyper 212 spectrum v3 cpu cooler also an additional bit of information, I'm using an outlet extension to power my 2 monitors and pc. Thanks for reading.

My Specs are: Ryzen 5 3600 16 GB Corsair Vengance Pro RGB MSI B550-M-Pro-VDH-Wifi GTX 1060 Corsair 550W psu I have been having this problem for almost a year now without any resolve, my motherboard's cpu debug light comes on sometimes during boot. Other times it boots into windows fine but either restarts or just shuts off (but the rgb is on in the case). I have already RMA'd the motherboard pretty recently and that has not solved the issue. Note: This was my first build so i do not have any spare parts. I have attached a video of the current issue along with a picture of the CPU. There's also 2 more videos of things that happened after i flashed the BIOS to the newesr stable version in the imgur link. The other 2 videos RDT_20230825_201023.mp4

I’m currently building a new pc. I have a gigabyte b650e elite aorus ax ice, a Radeon 7900xt hellhound, ryzen 7 7800x3d, and a 1000w psu from seasonic. Upon turning it in for the first time, I am getting a vga light in the motherboard and no display at all. I tried reseating the gpu, ram, and cpu. I have reconnected all psu cables, and I have tried booting with onboard video wit gpu removed from system. All of these have failed at changing anything at all and I fear I have a faulty motherboard. Does anyone else have any ideas before I call time of death? Thank you so much in advance

I am trying to host a local Minecraft server on pc hopefully without port forwarding using a VPN service but I do not understand how to do so. I am hoping to only allow access to this server from one MAC address allowing me and my friend to play. I can’t find a rock solid answer online so I thought I would present this problem here.

Hi all. I've been having a heating problem with my custom PC for a while. The gist of the problem is that the heat of my CPU gets incredibly high (like, between 85-100°C high) for no apparent reason. I'll have Discord and a couple of Chrome tabs open, or just one app, and my fans start blowing extremely loud, with my performance also lagging. I'll check Task Manager, and displayed performance will be normal, something like 1-4% CPU usage. However, the CPU will get so hot, sometimes it thermal throttles. At one point, I replaced the thermal paste and blew out any dust, and the problem persisted. This continued for a while, and then completely disappeared for over a year for seemingly no reason. I was able to run multiple apps and a game at once with no issues. However, it's recently shown up again. Through testing, here's what I've discovered: My AIO seems to work. It makes funny noises sometimes, but I've checked, and at these high temps, both tubes feel like they have water flowing, and one is hot while the other is cool. I've also checked fans, they blow a good amount of cool air out of the top, and the radiator doesn't seem especially hot either. Again, this isn't a result of pushing my PC too hard. This pretty much never happens when I'm doing especially challenging things like running VR games or several applications at once, only at low workloads. Likely not a result of misreadings, as both the area around the CPU and one of the AIO tubes get warm. Anyone have any idea what's going on? My specs are as follows: Ryzen 7 5800X MSI SUPRIM RTX 3070 Ti 32GB 3800mhz Trident Z RAM MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS motherboard Lian Li GALAHAD 240mm AIO Help would be much appreciated! EDIT: Might also be important to mention that these aren't spikes: Immediately from boot, temps on several sensors go up to 85+ and stay like that.

For the past 2-3 months I've had an issue where my CPU will randomly drop to 0.4 GHz even though it's nowhere near overheating and is on full battery. I've tried and tried again to fix the issue but cannot find any solutions. Laptop Specs: Model Name: Lenovo Ideapd Gaming 3 15ACH6 - Type 82K2 AMD Ryzen 5600H 16 GB RAM @ 3200Mhz Nvidia Geforce 1650 Max Q Normally: In Games: The max CPU temp that Lenovo has set is 80 degrees. The issue only seems to happening in games, I have no idea why. I've seen intel users have the exact same problems and solutions for those included ThrottleStop which isn't available for AMD CPUs. I've tried resetting Windows, installing Windows from a fresh ISO, updating my BIOS, reinstalling my graphics drivers and nothing has worked.

Greetings, I recently have purchased a Steelseries stratos+ controler due to it having USB c for charging. I wanted to use it with my PC by utilizing a Bluetooth dongle. However while waiting for the delivery I found out that it doesn't support Wireless connection with Windows. Is there any walk-around to be able to use it wirelessly with Windows?

So I have been having this issue for the past few months. It's a new system not even a year. The problem: My system randomly shutdown either while playing games, doing some editing work or just sitting idle watching YouTube. It's not only random shutdown, sometimes it's just random reboot. Initially it happened (random reboot or shutdown) only if I did any work which required my GPU like gaming or editing but then it suddenly started working absolutely fine without fixing anything for a week or so. Then the problem surfaced again without wany warning. Things I have done to fix this issue: 1) I have already replaced the motherboard once as the whole system is still under warranty. 2) I have already replaced the CPU. 3) I bought UPS as the place I'm living in witnesses extremely amount of power cuts. I have also noticed whenever there's a random shut down or reboot the Ez Debug DRAM LED on my motherboard stays on. This happens in certain occasions only. On the other hand this LED staying on doesn't happen everytime just sometimes. Also when my system shuts down my keyboard lights are still on indicating keyboard is getting detected but my mouse is not. The whole system is running, the fans are working fine but the display goes. Even my problem is inconsistent. Sometimes it's just a shut down, sometimes it's a reboot, sometimes the display goes away but the system is running, sometimes the DRAM LED is on and sometimes it's not (indicating there's nothing wrong with the RAM). Please I really need some help. I know I might have to replace certain parts but whici one ti be exact. The PSU, RAM or the GPU. Brand new PC is having black screen crashes in Destiny 2. Long story short, I just built a brand new computer last week (specs below). On first boot, I wanted to test my most-played game, Destiny 2, and was super happy to see it maxing out with 144fps and FreeSync-type smoothness. However, over the past week, Destiny has been crashing randomly, sometimes even as I first load into an area. I have done just about every Reddit/YouTube troubleshoot in the book, still to no avail. My PC seems to run fine in everything else, it's just Destiny that has constant issues. I'll summarize the list of issues below, including specs, and the common error code when my system crashes. Issue: Destiny 2 black screen after playing for anywhere between 1-20 minutes, booted back to windows home screen, presented with error code "Broccoli" (GPU issue in-game), restart required to open Destiny again. In game before crashes is very stuttery, lots of screen tearing. PC is still running after crash, no MB debug lights come on, and I'm able to use most desktop apps post-crash as well. Things I've noticed: No GPU or CPU temperature peaking during crashes, super high scores with no crashing 3DMark or Heaven, no issues in other games, VRAM MHz sits around 1000 even when idle, game sits around 75-85% GPU utilization in intensive areas. Tweaks to my system I've made: XMP enabled on RAM, CPU undervolted to max 85W, tested GPU clock speed to max at 3000MHz, undervolted to 1050mV, power limit increase to 15% (all stable but not in Destiny). Fixes I've tried that haven't worked: 1. Resolution tweaks with CRU to reduce idle VRAM MHz. 2. Disable and fully delete Xbox game bar. 3. Reset GPU overclock to out-of-box tuning. 4. DDU graphics drivers. 5. Went back to old drivers that were "more stable" for the 7x00 series of AMD cards. 6. Windows memory test (just to make sure it wasn't the RAM). 7. Set power plan to high performance, also giving Destiny 2 high priority graphics settings. 8. Updated chipsets and BIOS. 9. Verified game files via Steam. 10. Disabled full screen optimization (this has helped with overall smoothness). Error Code: Display driver amduw23g stopped responding and has successfully recovered. This is the error code I have been receiving every crash. I'm not 100% sure this is the culprit, but there are no other warning codes around the crashing times. People on reddit whop receive this code seem to have similar issues to my own. I have linked a pic of this error code below. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit Log: Few hours after posting this, I'm having worse stutters in game. I ran a strike with no crashes, and I had GPU-Z handy on my second monitor. GPU-Z shows that when these stutters happen, the following drop to zero or near zero: GPU clock, GPU load, Board Power Draw, and GPU voltage. These stutters are like skipping frames, imagine freezing for half a second before the game goes right back to normal. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 7700x GPU: AMD Radeon 7800xt RAM: G.skill 6000Mhz CL32 MB: MSI B650-p Wifi PSU: Thermaltake GF1 850W (2024) Case: Corsair 3000D Monitor: Dell S2716DG (GSync, no FreeSync) Thank you to everyone who responds with help. I'm hoping I'm able to figure this out soon.

My pc has been crashing while gaming and i havent found anything after many stress tests and driver reinstalls that points to a common issue except for this event viewer error -------------------------------------- A fatal hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 5 --------------------------------------- I have no idea what this means or what to do. The Processor APIC ID isnt always 5, sometimes its 0 or 6 but all the rest of the error is consistent. the more demanding the game, the more likely this will occur. NO BSOD, just maybe a few seconds of a green frozen screen or just black screen then instant restart. the audio also glitches while the crash is happening sometimes. WHat does this mean? How can I resolve this? What should I try first? Specs: Radeon RX 5700, Ryzen 7 5800x, 16gb ram ddr4 3600mhz, rog strix x-570-e gaming motherboard, EVGA supernova 650w G3. What ive tried: DDU the video driver countless times and using old and latest amd drivers, testing all components under max load in stress tests, clearing shader cache and cpu cache, memtests and disk checks multiple times, reseating gpu and switching ram dimm slots. None of these have stopped the crashes from happening.

Hello, so i have a sapphire pulse rx580 8gb for a few years now and ever since i got it ive been noticing this weird "moving pixels" and very horrible aa in every single game. Its not game braking and i usually dont notice it much but ive been wondering if anyone else has seen this before and knows how to fix it. Ive literally tried everything, different settings on the amd software, ive reinstalled windows multiple times since ive got it, upgraded my bios and so on. The one thing that seems to be making a difference is if i use virtual super resolution but that isnt really a choice since my pc isnt that good. Here is a video in gw2 to demonstrate what i mean by "moving pixels" but keep in mind in other games this effect is much much more amplified. Notice where my mouse is pointing. Also the game graphics settings are at max with the highest aa setting for gw2 being SMAA high. My specs: Ryzen 5 5500 (had the same problem with ryzen 3 2200g) AMD sapphire pulse rx580 8gb asrock 350ab pro4 with bios 7.0 so that it can support Cezanne (had the same problem before upgrading the cpu) dual channel 16gb ram with xmp at 3200mhz Any ideas or advice are welcome, thanks in advance. EDIT: I have also uninstalled/reinstalled/updated my drivers many times and are currrently on version 24.1.1 . Guild Wars 2_clip_1_clip_1.mp4

Hi all, I recently switched from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. It may be important to note that I initially upgraded from a 3600 & RTX 3070 to a 5800X3D and 7900 XT, and was running a stress test with Prime95 & Furmark at once on a 750W PSU. The computer immediately shut down, so I upgraded to a 1000W PSU and don't have this issue anymore. They both run fine at the same time (could this have damaged by CPU/motherboard causing this issue?). I was idling fine on the 3600 around 35 C, but this 5800 idles around 65-70 C. I've asked around on Reddit and other forums and everyone seems to agree that these temps are way too high. From what other people post, I should be seeing around 30 to 40 C idling (when I say "idle", I mean with Discord, Steam, and HWiNFO open at once). I've tried the following: Disabled A-XMP in my BIOS (made no difference, so I turned it back on) Updated my BIOS Reset CMOS Swapped out the kryosheet I re-used from my 3600 for a new one Changing the cooler from a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 to a DeepCool Assassin IV Changing from a kryosheet to thermal paste Nothing I've done has changed the temps and I'm completely lost at this point. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 32 GB (4x8 GB) DDR4 3200 RAM (3200 w/ A-XMP on) (if the brand matters it's TEAM Group TFORCE) MSI B450 Tomahawk (latest BIOS revision as of this post, not Tomahawk MAX) AMD 7900 XT Corsair RM1000E 1000W PSU I'm using HWiNFO to read my temps, and reading the Tctl/Tdie temp. Screenshot If anyone can point me in the right direction here as to what I'm doing wrong, I would GREATLY appreciate it. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Windows, but I'm not sure how/why that would help.
