So, i really like the cherry blue switch on keyboards but the noise is too loud as i share a room with my brother and im a bit of a night owl so my typing and key presses from gaming wake him up at night or keep him from going to sleep, i'm getting really annoyed from him bugging me so i just want to get a new keyboard so he will stop bugging me and visa versa. TLDR any keyboards or switches similar to cherry blues?

Ok guys only new to all this networking stuff so I need some help and advice. I've added a pic of what I would like to finally achieve one day but trying to figure out how to wire it all up question: how do I wire the switches? I gather from the modem I plug into a port on the first switch but what about the second switch ? do I daisy chain the switches together using 1 port on each switch linking them or do I run a separate cable from port 2 of modem to switch 2 etc. (what if I had 5 switches )

Anyone have any leads on where I might be able to find one? I can't seem to track them down from any suppliers. I've found these that have and RGB ring but for my reset button, I'd really prefer the dot lighting. Specifically something like this, but RGB capable. Specifics I'd be looking for: Face: 18-19mm (although I could modify things for a 22) Shaft: 16mm (although I could modify things for a 19) Lighting: RGB Dot Finish: Black Anodized It's just going to be a reset switch/drive activity indicator (going into a caselabs SMA8-A), so the switch doesn't have to be able to handle anything crazy as far as voltage/current goes, just needs to be momentary.

Good day! My mechanical keyboard; The GAMEDIAS HERMES l E1 (Combo Edition) Single key is not functioning well which is the W key. as I did 2 tests with it. such as the notepad test (spamming the W key in several patterns), and the gaming test (Fortnite & CS:GO) I noticed that the key would not function properly. when I press it once it wouldn't work. but double tapping or harder presses would make it work. the same in CSGO & Fortnite; I would be running in-game and would stop immediately in the middle of the run and after 2 seconds my player could run again. I am not sure if it's a software malfunction or a hardware malfunction. please kindly help me with this problem. I'm trying to fix it before returning it to the store I bought it from. I need clarifications and fixes if possible. Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can get cheap server and network gear for a personal cisco lab? I scored a cisco catalyst 3650 yesterday but I need more. Any ideas?

Switch preferences (preferably reply if you've used any of these)? Both listed on Massdrop (Kailh drop active now) for $25, and thinking of upgrading my $40 TKL with blue Outemus. Heard from a lot of people that Gaterons are a lot better, but the 1.1 mm travel distance on the Kailh is very attractive. If you think there's anything else that's worth upgrading (total budget preferably under 40 USD), then I'd be happy to hear it. Options as well as what I'm looking for listed below. Current Keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5F6W51/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_NYqIAb8B60P84 Gateron Switch Options (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/gateron-switches): Blacks Blues Browns Clears Greens Reds Yellows Kailh Speed Switch Options (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kaihua-kailh-speed-switches): Copper Silver Bronze Gold What I'm looking for (little more typing than gaming, lots hate blues for gaming, but seem fine to me) (in order of importance): Near silent (Current Outemu blues extremely loud, maybe replace cheap metal top plate too?) Short travel distance (Current Outemu blues ~4 mm) Fast rebound times (Current Outemu blues seem to take forever to rebound, especially shift. (Swap stabilizers?)) Little wobble Sorry that I'm asking so much, but I really want the best I can get for my use. Thanks!

Hey, i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the M750 and its QX2 switches since i'm considering swapping out my current logitech g610 (reds) with it. I've been looking at a couple of options both TKL and regular keyboards and so far it's between the Razer Chroma V2 (both normal and TKL) and the M750. Another quick question: I've experienced some issues with the left shift and ctrl key on keyboards that don't have a shroud to around the keys(i had the blackwidow x for a while), due to me usually pressing the keys on the left side of the key causing the keycap to tilt. Due to this and the god awful font on the k65 i've been avoiding it, should i just disregard it or take another look at it?

There are 3 options to pick from and i'm not really experienced in this field. Which switch would be considered to have better performance. From what i've gathered, it would most likely be the Cisco, however i'd like some input from other people as well. - Cisco Catalyst 3560 Series WS-C3560-24TS-S Switch - Allied Telesyn AT-FS724i - 3Com Baseline Switch 2226 Plus

Hi guys ! I recently got myself my first mechanical keyboard. I actually received as a gift from a friend because he got a new one. The thing is, the space bar and the arrows are not working. So, after a few minutes on google, I've found the "cleaning" method to work. One drop of water, together with some push from a compressed air duster and the keys were back. However, they are back for half a day mostly and then they don't respond again. I do the same procedure and they are back again. My problem is that I don't want to do this every time I game (once per day for like 1 hour). Is there another practical solution to fix this? Should I open it and try something inside it? I'm open to suggestion and any help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance! (Note: the keyboard is an entry level one with brown switches from a romanian brand - I think - Marvo KG922, if it is of any help)

Hey guys and grills, I found an article on Cisco 9-part networking training program for an apparently "95%", or 98% even on the sales-website, off-price at $59 USD. It is an online course offered by iCollege with lifetime access. The training program is "Ultimate Cisco Certification Super Bundle: Lifetime Access" on XDA-developers website. It contains : - 1) Cisco 100-105: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 - ICND1 V3 2) Cisco 200-105: Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 - ICND2 V3 3) Cisco 210-260: Implementing Cisco Network Security 4) Cisco 200-355: Implementing Cisco Wireless Networking Fundamentals 5) Cisco 210-060: Implementing Cisco Collaboration Devices (CICD) 6) Cisco 210-065: Implementing Cisco Video Network Devices (CIVND1 & CIVND2) 7) Cisco 300-101: ROUTE - Implementing Cisco IP Routing 8) Cisco 300-115: SWITCH - Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks 9) Cisco 300-135: TSHOOT - Troubleshooting And Maintaining Cisco IP Networks The link to original article is - https://www.xda-developers.com/prepare-for-a-lucrative-career-in-network-administration-with-this-9-part-training/amp/ I am planning to get it, is it any good? Any networking gurus out there, have a look at it. Thank you

So we're opening an Internet Cafe/Print Shop, got everything almost ready, only to get stumped on the networking aspect. I don't know what equipment to buy for our setup, and networking is far from my forte. Some of my employees have better experience with it, but their butting heads on what equipment to buy( router, switch, wifi router). Including our computers, POS system, security cam setup, we currently have 13 devices that need to be hard wired. So at least 13 LAN ports and wifi access is required. Right now all we have is Comcast's modem and dodgy 4 LAN port router. Any suggestions?

This is a topic for all key switches for the Razer keyboards. Which one do you like best? What are the switches for? This isn't for me this is for someone who is interested in Razer keyboards. THERE WILL BE NO BIAS, GIVE YOUR HONEST OPINION. Favorite keyboard? Favorite switches for it? Why do you use it? Green: Orange: Yelllow:

I am coming from a razer membrane keyboard I am about to get into mechanical. I am looking at Cherry speed silvers, are they clicky and good? Any other switch recommendations? Thanks, Jack

I have done quite a bit of research on keyboards but I am still confused with which one to buy. I've been using a rubber dome keyboard but wanted something better than the one I'm currently using that isnt too loud, So I started looking at MX red silents. I want a keyboard that comes with a wrist rest and liked the look of the razer ornata chroma but after research people don't seem to like it, I don't know if that's just because of the rubber domes or if there are other issues to hate on it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, so I posted about this before, never really got a straight answer, and this time Ihave a very straightforward question, that really need a solid yes or no. I would like to buy a Manged network switch, cause I'm picky and micromanage evey liittle thing on m network, AS WELL as the fact my router suffers poor WAN - LAN throughput due to DD-WRT (Reverting back didn't solve the problem either). In my current setup my router only gives out about 100MBPS LAN (with wifi radios OFF, and all other services that would eat bandwidth off), so if its taking in the full 300 (And it should given its equipped with Gigabit WAN and LAN) I pay for, its not showing (When my modem is hrdwired to my PC, I get the full bandwidth and thensome). So I also have 2 other routers in cascade with my main router (look up router cascade if you're ot familiar with it) to serve low priority devices and guests, etc. (Main router serving high bandwidth users and my nas). So my theory to issue is either, my router and modem don't like each other, OR throughput is just poor on my router. So I would like to invest $30 in a TL-SG105E from TP-Link. It has good reviews, and in first glance on the amazon product page, it seems well featured, which tickles my netowrking willy. SO my question is, can i hook the TL-SG105E to my modem and then to my routers, and have it act as a DHCP server to provide IP addresses to LAN clients? I know what you're thinking "BrownZeus, you fucking imbecile, router first then a switch", but given its a Managed switch that appears to have DHCP, it shouldn't be a problem to make it the first segment of my Cascade no? The plan is to have uplink though the TL-SG105E and then QOS 100MBPS to each router and then hook network clients through the respective router. ya dig? (This is of course assuming the switch isn't a dud and I can pull 300mbps from it with just one computer)

Hey guys this is Austi... JK it's my first post. There has been a hype around Mechanical keyboards and custom mechanical keyboards these past few years and i have, myself tried these puppies. I'm not really a keyboard enthusiast and I don't really care about the feeling, I enjoy a membrane keyboard the same way, I don't really feel a difference in the typing experience. What i really like about mechanical keyboard is their sexy look and the fact that you can easily customize their keys. I really want a sexy keyboard but i don't want to spend 50 euros more for a feature that i don't really care about. ( I'm french and this is the price difference between a membrane keyboard and a mechenical one ) So guys if you know some sexy membrane keyboards (minimalistic, compact ones such as the Vortex Pok3r 3 or the CM Storm Quickfire ) wihout mechanical keys, therefore cheaper, this would be soooo great !

Part 1: Hey guys, I'm trying to connect one monitor to two 16 port-kvm switches at the same time. Is it possible? Are kvm switches the best way to go? The computers I'm hooking up only have about 2-4GB Ram so I figured I wouldn't use software to do the connection job. Part 2: Also, what kind of Ethernet Switch setup should I think about? If I'm running 32 computers taht hook up to the internet what kind of router should I buy? How fast should my modem be? Thanks for your time and consideration. (I'll understand if you can't answer the Part 2 of the question seeing as how its not under this forum's topic.)

hey guys! this is my first post on the forum. I'm having issues on how i should setup my internet in the new apartment. First off the apartment building holds 6 families. I will be moving there with my girlfriend (shes an avid netflix watcher and i happen to game and torrent on the reg). I Don't know if i should be going Cable or DSL i know cable speed is split between everyone in the building and DSL can be affected by the distance to the ISP but i cant decide on which one to get. the two services offered by the company are cable 60 down 10 up 500gb bandwidth for 82$ a month or DSL 50 down 10 up 1000gb bandwidth for 70$ a month I'm inclined to go with the DSL option since I'm a bandwidth whore but id like to hear from you guys! also if any of you have suggestions on what modem/ router i should get that would be great!i know computers but I've never dabbled in networking. Thanks again! The Moistiest

Hey guys! I'm looking for a new keyboard but I'd like to go mechanical this time. I've already found a cheap Zalman ZM-K500 for 50 euros but it uses red Kailh switches. Do you have any recommendations for cheap mechanicals?
