Hello, I am looking to buy new laptop for school (college), gaming and everyday use. Here are couple question: What do you think about this laptop ? Is it good for school ? Is it good for everyday use ? Is it good for gaming (With Razer Core And GTX 970 in it) ? Will dual core slow down browsing web, messaging etc. How bad will dual core bottle neck my GTX 970 (Razer Core) ? * I know that there are better and cheaper laptops for gaming however, I am mainly looking to use this laptop for school and everyday use. Gaming is just a BONUS *

ok so about about to drop the ball on a msi gs70 steath pro (970m) laptop. my question is betwwen 2 models they have, the 003 and the 006 basicly all the specs are the same between the 003 and 006 besides the ones listed below 003: -4th gen i7 4710hq with ddr3 ram up to 16gb -2x m.2 sata slot (raid 0 enabled for about 1gb\s reads with 850 evo drives) -1x 2.5" hhd slot 006: -6th gen i7 6700hq with ddr4 ram up to 32gb -single pci 3.0x4 nmve slot for up to 2.5gb/s read with a 950 pro -single 2.5" drive slot both have 1080p screens, 970m 3gb... im planning to only have 1tb storage ONLY using the m.2 slots or nvme slot if i got either one i would be looking to put 2x500 850 evo m.2 drives in the 003 or wait for the 1tb 950 pro to put in the 006. i know the nmve would be ALOT faster then the dual m.2 ssds and not have the issues that raid can cause. some questions: is it worth the over all extra cost to get a 6th gen i7 over the 4th gen i7? ddr4 really any better then ddr3 besides i could upgrade to 32gb of it? will the cost of a 1tb 950 pro be worth it IN THE LONG RUN for over all speed and i assume little better battery life over 2x m.2 ssds? note: ill be making my purchases though xotic pc with the bare minimum and upgrading myself (much cheaper so i would be only be getting 8gb of ram and upgrading to 32gb ddr4 or 16gb ddr3 of my own memory. i would only be getting a single hhd and adding the m.2s or nvme drive myself. (obviously the 1tb 950 pro isnt out yet but i can wait a few months for it, if its with it) sorry for long post, let me know if i need to clarify anything

I'm tossing up between these two keyboards. I like the features of the TK but I want the near-blank keys on the Stealth. The TK seems to be the better keyboard combining the functionality of a full keyboard with the form-factor of a tenkeyless. I would honestly prefer to replace the keycaps on the TK if that's an option. Any advice or alternatives on this problem would be great, thanks.

Razer is known for their Gaming Laptops and their Gaming peripherals. This is the first product that the laptop itself isn't gaming oriented. But, wait! You can. Via Thunderbolt 3, you can connect to "The Core" from Razer and hook it up to an External monitor and game on it. The 0.52-inch thick, 2.75-pound laptop includes individually backlit keys with RGB LEDs. Yeah, Dual Core CPUs. And only 8GB of RAM max. Product Images: [spoiler=More Product Images] Source: arstechnica, Razer. Pricing & Availability: The $999 version of the Razer Blade Stealth gets you the standard Core i7 and 8GB of RAM, 1440p screen, and 128GB PCIe SSD. The fully decked-out version with the 4K screen and a 512GB PCIe SSD costs $1,599. It will be available directly from Razer in January and from Microsoft Stores starting in February. Pricing for the Core enclosure hasn’t been announced, but it will be available in the first half of 2016.

Hi, I am looking at purchasing a Razer blade stealth (not so sure if ill buy the core at least till they tell us the price) in march when it becomes available in the UK (was told this by razer support staff btw so its offical), one thing i was wondering however if its able to be upgraded after purchase, i would wondering if i could upgrade the ssd really and possibly the ram later down the road, if anyone over in the US owns one could you let me know. Cheers Also side note how come there isnt a laptops sub section on this forum or is there one and im just blind

Basically I have been looking at the two. The exact models I'm looking at have the exact same specs and are the same price - 4720HQ, 16GB, 965M, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD - £1150 This thing will be travelling with me constantly, hence why I need it to be thin and light. I prefer the looks of the GS70 Stealth over the Ghost, BUT the ghost is lighter, thinner, and has an IPS screen. The Stealth has a 17 inch screen, and weighs a littler more with a (good) TN panel. I don't know whether it's worth sacrificing those in order to get the better looking Stealth.

Hey Guys, I was wanting some advice, I am looking at getting a razer blackwidow tournament mechanical gaming keyboard, and was wondering: STEALTH vs STANDARD?? So, what are the major differences? My primary use will be gaming. Any other keyboards that beat this out at a similar price? BTW: I'm looking at the 2014 edition. Thanks, B3H1NDu P.S. First post!

So I made a thread about this back in September, but that got almost no love. So I'm back, with a clearer vision of what I want, and more uncertainties. What I'd like to achieve is a black and *insert attractive colour here* build, but the Z87-OC Force hardly fits in with other components that have picked out as an upgrade to my current setup. What I was thinking I could do is get some Plasti Dip, pull of the PCI-E and RAM slots along with the heat spreaders, and then get rid of the orange accents. But I'm sure that process would be extremely difficult, and might even need some re-soldering. So I'm looking for an alternative. So, would using an old rag/other fabric material suffice as a barrier to prevent the Plasti Dip from getting to the PCB? And how many coats of Plasti Dip would be appropriate? If you guys have any, "more professional" ideas that would be easier and/or end with a better result, than I'd love to know about them. Cheers! Edit: And once again I am still awake when it is almost 1:30 am, so I'll be back in about 7-9 hours.

I just want to hear your opinions, anything will do, design, cooling, graphics, cpu, you name it. I'm still in a dilemma between the two and these reviews just confuse me more so I'd like to hear your opinions because I might be missing something. Don't base your choice depending on my needs and what I'm gonna do with the system as they can both do fine with what I wanted them to do for a few years. Edit: Non-pro btw, not available in my area yet

Which one is "better"? I know that the QuickFire is more worth it's price but price isn't much of an issue in my case.

So I had a cool project idea, taking a few high quality chargers and stealth them into a wall socket. Doing so with a few chargers and put them around the house. So I'll have a cool DIY feature in my house that looks good and higher quality than the horrible quality chargers that comes with your smartphone/ tablet. Yes, I understand that most people use them and they can be "just fine". However batteries are aging faster on these cheap cubes of garbage, rather than a higher quality charger. And as a battery life paranoid, I'd do anything (accept charging from my computer, because it's not convenient) to slow these battery from aging. If I'll not find any, I'll just get a bunch of regular chargers and stealth them in the wall socket. It's not going to be hard to do. I wired my house a few years ago during renovations, so I do know what I'm doing, and I'll take the necessary safety measures. Basically tablets and smartphones that charges via USB (5v)with maximum current of 3A, preferably with an ability to tweak the voltage (usually undervolting, for making the phone charge slower at night. And if I'm in a hurry to put a slightly higher voltage to charge fast). If I'll find a hi quality one, but without these features. I might mod it, or better make one from scratch (possible but will take much more time) You can say it's WAY overkill, but I like doing fun projects that might make no sense to some, but seem epic for other. Sorry for the novel, I just wanted to make sure I covered all corners.

Just saw the below post in my facebook feed: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-orbweaver?src=pgm.81594800&utm_source=Razer_Social_Media&utm_medium=smlink_US_launch&utm_campaign=razer_orbweaver So basically the orbweaver got updated with the cheaper switches their other mech boards use and they gave in the braided cable from the tartarus that it should have had originally. They dont happen to mention the cable's length though which is a real shame as the original isnt even 6ft which is what I consider to be average. Also if they would have reduced the cost in the saving they got on the switches this would have been the product to do it as the price is a turn off to many. All of us probably saw this coming. Either way to those interested get the genuine Cherry switch ones while you still can.

Hello there, I am hoping to get a mechanical keyboard soon and I have narrowed it down to the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth. I really like the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate(2013) but I think the brown switches may be better for me. Bit I cannot find it anywhere on sale online or in-store.. On Razer's website it says that it "will" be available in 3-4 weeks but I think that may have been the status of this keyboard for a while.. Is it just that the Stealth BlackWidow Ultimate(2013, not the older blue one) sells out quickly or is there not enough demand for it and so it's listed in Limbo on Razer's site? I requested for an email notification so I do hope it becomes available soon but I kind of doubt it may.. Are there any legit sites that I can still order it from? What do you think? Should I just go ahead and get the Corsair K70(brown)-even though I don't care much for the gunmetal and blue lights, or the Logitech G710+?

Hello again! After months of wedding planning, moving to a new apartment, new job and everything else Im back, and this time with a casemod, usually Im working from scratch. I will hopefully learn a lot by this small project and get more modding experience. In my opinion I've found the ultimate mini-itx case, the Cubitek Mini Cube. Ever since I installed a computer for a friend in this case I have been in love. It is clean-looking, has A LOT of space behind the motherboard for both cablemanagement and harddrives. My idea of this casemod is to make a "stealth" mod. Everything will be black except for some small details that will be the small contrast to all the black. So I will start by taking the case in two parts and paint everything that isnt black. Then I will be installing a 240mm radiator in the front, yes you heard me, I will be making a big hole in that nice-looking frontpanel. But dont worry, I will be covering it up with one of the most awesome-looking radiator grills from Aquacomputer. This is the hardware Im aiming for, most of it I already have. MB: MSI Z87I CPU: Intel I5 4670K GPU: Zotac GTX 760 RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Dominator Platinum SSD: Samsung 840 120gb PSU: Be-Quiet! Dark Power Pro P10 550W CASE: Cubitek Mini Cube Here is a overview of the motherboard. I didnt like the blue/alu caps so I made them and some other stuff black, F4DE in to black! Thats all for now. Im currently planning and measuring out where to put the radiator and window and stuff like that. But I will update as soon as possible. I hope you like it. While you wait I would really appreciate if you liked to check out my facebook-page. There you will find more updates, giveaways and other computer related stuff. With kind regards Johan Nyman

Hi! Since I do some media work, I'd like a way to read discs and cards. Doing this, however, takes up two of the three 5.25" bays on my Corsair 750D, which does not look the greatest when such bays are used up. Some have used this product to do exactly as mentioned, putting both a disc and card reader into one 5.25" bay. However it looks like it is unavailable for purchase. I was wondering if there was any other product similar to this? Also, I was wondering if it would be possible to stealth this somehow. With a normal 5.25" bay, I could just take the aluminum off the cover and stick it to the drive bay (like this), however doing this would prevent me from using the SD card slots. Is it possible to make a door out of the bay cover instead (like the 900D's front I/O cover or like the XFX Type 1 Bravo)? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

A lot of people hate this game because it's not as good as the classic Thief games. I've never played those, is this game at least functional and enjoyable? especially for $10? Steam sales OP
