Just had the lovely fortune to smash the screen of my Galaxy S20 FE to pieces. Still works just glass is messed up. On Amazon I'm seeing one replacement screen available for 250 CAD while another is 120. Other than reviews. Is there any way to differentiate a quality screen from a shitty one?

Hey, In short I have the MSI Optix MAG241CPUK 24" VA Curved FHD 144Hz Freesync Gaming Monitor (1920x1080,1ms, 2 x HDMI, Display Port). It's has a broken screen and I am unable to find the replacement screens for it anywhere. I have looked on ebay, amazon and even aliexpress but cannot find anything. Is there a solution or a fake screen I can find for this? Thankyou.

Hi So I am trying to access the data on my broken iPhone Xs. I am only trying to backup the phone. I do not plan nor want to repair the phone, so would it be possible to use an old iPhone 6s display I have laying around to simply boot the iPhone Xs or would it hurt the phone? The connectors look surprisingly similar, so I have my suspicion it might just work. Remember I do not care if the phone is gonna break long term, I just want it to boot and stay on long enough to backup the data on it.

I am working on a Surface Pro 3 screen replacement for my family, and have removed the busted factory screen/digitizer. They don't know if the Surface is even functional, so I don't want to order a new screen to find out something else is busted. Does anyone know if a functional Surface Pro 3 would boot up and display to an external monitor without its screen connected? My thought was to get a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable and connect it to an external monitor and see if it will even boot before I order a replacement screen...thank you in advance!

Greetings! I own an Acer Switch 3 SW312-31-P0M1 LDREX001 and it has a physically broken screen. The guaranty does not cover it so I am going to replace it myself. I saw that it is doable in a youtube disassembly tutorial and now I need a new screen panel. Apparently to replace the screen you have to migrate all of the hardware from the tablet into the new screen panel. The problem is that there are no screens matching my Serial #. I found this site - https://www.distriphone.com/en/5433-Acer-Switch-3-SW312-31-LCD with a bunch of screens of the same model, but different parts of the serial #. Do you know whether or not they will work? They seem to be technically the same (30 pin connectors and same display specs). Thanks in advance!

I have an HP Omen 15t from early 2017 (7700hq gtx 1050ti 4gb model) For awhile I've had a pressure mark that hasn't changed, its on the side and doesn't bother me. And a dead Pixel somewhere. But, today after taking it out of my backpack the screen shows purple marks from the keyboard when the screen is on and on black. To me that doesn't sound like a regular pressure mark or dead pixel. What is it? Can it be repaired? If so how?

I cracked the back glass of my s10+ the other day and I can't decided what the best course of action is. A: Pay AT&Ts replacement deductible of $299 B: Get if fixed for probably around $100 - $150. However this voids the warranty. C: Fix it myself. I have all the right tools with an iFixit kit and a heat gun. I've removed phone glass before but never in a situation where it matters if I break the phone or not. I didn't end up breaking it though. This would be the cheapest option since I don't need to buy any tools. I honestly don't really care about the glass being broken, I can just put a case or skin on it and itll be like it never happened since the screen is fine but I'm mainly just upset about the waterproof certification being gone now. What do you guys think is the best idea?

I have a problem. I broke my laptop screen and after the crying, I ordered a new one. I'm fairly computer savvy and the replacement looks simple enough. I've only hit one snag that the Google has yet to give me the answer for. All the tutorials, whether on YouTube or online, say that you need to disconnect it from AC power and the battery. I however, cannot disconnect the battery. It's built in to my laptop and I'd rather not get too crazy with all of it. Is this something I can do without disconnecting the battery or is there some trick I need to know. I would appreciate anyone in the community that could give me a little advice. I'll do your avatar up with my artistic skills... I'll give you a back rub... maybe not that one. Linus, I'll drive down to your offices if I need to beg in person if need be.... please... I'm poor and I don't want to f**k up the laptop I'm still paying for...

I'm looking to upgrade the display in my MSI GS63 Stealth-010 from 60Hz to 144Hz. All the other forum posts I've found talking about this specific laptop only upgrade to a nicer 60Hz display but I'd like to have 144 for playing games. Here's the best buy product page. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys! I'm new here and the Youtube channel got me here and I need some help. So I got a certified refurbished Alienware 15R4 and to cut it short, they got one of the specs wrong which is the screen. It was supposed to be a 120hz g sync panel but they just sent me in a 60hz version. The other thing is, I got this laptop as a gift and I currently live in the Philippines. The unit was bought from the Amazon US website and is registered in Dell USA. I've been wanting to get my screen upgraded since Amazon just gave me a refund to the amount of the screen "downgrade". Dell PH has been unresponsive and I wanna take matters to my own hands and upgrade the unit myself. I've seen Youtube videos of people doing it and I just want advice from you guys. Should I wait on Dell PH if they can upgrade the screen? Or order a 120hz gsync screen panel online and do it myself? Please help me guys haha

Ok. I am a noob. A big dumb noob, however.. I've done some research first. I haven't read yet that someone has successfully upgraded their dell 7577 screen from fhd 30 pin to uhd 40 pin. I'm reading a lot of it cannot be done with adaptors. But I've read a few forums where they say it can. However, you guys are smart. Is there anyway i can upgrade my fhd 30pin to mobo screen to 4k, or is the biggest upgrade i can do, the 120hz? I really want 4k. I want that extra room. Any help will be appreciated. I love this laptop. But i want it better!

Hi, I'm looking for help regarding an Iphone screen replacement problem. I recently replaced the screen assembly and digitiser on my iPhone 5s, something I've done successfully numerous times on other 5s' as well as on my own. Once I had the screen installed I booted up the phone to confirm the screen was working okay and that there was no loose connections before putting on any of the plates or covers. Everything worked perfectly so I turned the iPhone off again and proceeded to put everything back together fully. Once the iPhone was back together I tried booting it up again however this time the screen lit up with the apple logo for 3 seconds before going dark and staying in this state. I've tried resetting the iPhone putting it into recovery mode etc etc but nothing has worked. I've tried connecting it to my iTunes account but it can't seem to take the phone out of recovery mode. I've double and triple checked all connections so there is nothing wrong there. I also refitted the old screen to make sure the new one wasn't faulty as only the digitiser was smashed but the same thing happened with that screen. The only thing I can think of is that the grounding sticker has lost its stickiness so it may not be grounding correctly however I do not think this would be the issue? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks and sorry about the length of this.

Hey guys, the screen of my 2DS broke lately and I decided to fix it myself by buying a 40 euro replacement (instead of paying some jackass 80+ :P) however, on the backside I'm down to just 3 screws, where they all seem stripped especially one in particular. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've already tried lubricating them a bit with oil, and also tried to use the 'rubber band' method but neither worked.

I have an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU which features a full hd TN panel. I was wondering that if it's possible to replace my laptop screen with an IPS panel. I found this website http://www.panelook.com/ which offers a plethora of options for screens. Can somebody tell me if its possible at all, replacing a TN with an IPS panel? Also if possible, please tell me that for an IPS display is there any kind of trade off between features... for eg, screen brightness having a trade off with color accuracy (I don't know, just saying)

So, girlfriend stood on my MSI GP62 6QF and now the screen needs to replaced. I've never bought a replacement screen for a laptop was just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can get a replacement for it as my MSI warranty was only 12 months I believe and it's been about 16 months. Preferably a UK link, cheers! Edit: Would something like this would? Despite the website looking sketchy as. Just need to find a replacement asap because I can't go any longer looking at only 75% of the screen

Went in to a local phone repair store today to have my S4's cracked screen repaired. The guys running the place were very nice, and had an S4 screen and digitizer combo in stock. (They only offer replacements of both, and don't just replace the screen, so my device is rocking new glass and a new digitizer.) Left it with them for 45 minutes or so and boom, screen was fixed! Well, sorta... Essentially I'm having some issues with responsiveness now. The phone is incredibly sluggish responding to inputs that is especially noticeable while typing. I use Swype often, and that works okay, but typing fast like I normally do causes the keyboard (Google Keyboard) to freak out and enter random text. Moving through pages on the home screen feels like it's behind by almost half a second if it decides to respond at all, and scrolling on the google now page or any web page is pretty bad. I am of course keeping in mind that this phone launched early 2013 and is definitely dated, but the change in responsiveness is very noticeable from earlier today, and I'm concerned that the new screen/digitizer combo is causing it. Not really sure what to do at this point... Is this even something that can happen?

Does anyone know if there is any sort of standardization in laptop screens? Are there standards for screw placement and connectors that I can look for? I am hoping to replace a few laptop screens by getting used or generic screens, not have to buy more expensive model specific screens. I can't even find an exact model match sometimes.

My friend brought his Nvidia Shield tablet into school to play hearthstone today. He was sitting in the halls, and one kid was pushing another kid around (not a fight, just teenage boys doing what they do), when one fell. The falling kids elbow landed right on the screen of the tablet, shattering it. The device is completely unusable, there is maybe a 1cm sliver of screen that still displays anything, and I have no idea if the touchscreen works. So my question is, is screen/digitizer replacement for this particular tablet feasible? If so, what are some reputable sources from which to inquire for such a service? and what kind of price tag might he be looking at?
