Hello! Which GPU is better for medium budget pc? I'm only interested in 4gb versions, because of saving money. Right now I consider these: https://www.galador.ee/1630-videokaardid/3803369-vga-pcie16-rx-470-4gb-gddr5-rx-470-armor-4g-oc-msi https://www.galador.ee/1630-videokaardid/3797981-sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro-oc-4gb-gddr5-256-bit-2xhdmi-2xdp-lite Thank you!

Build: I5-6400 Gigabyte H110M-A Micro ATX Motherboard 8gb 2133 DDR4 ram Red Devil RX 470 450 watt 80+ Bronze EVGA PSU Problem: This is my first PC build, I dont seem to know what the problem is. I have a RX470, but it doesn't perform the same as other RX470's in the internet. I noticed that my GPU usage is all over the place same with my power wattage. I have tried to research the problem but nothing seems to help. Can someone help me troubleshoot my problem. Image: http://prntscr.com/dtatev

Sauce: http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/category/laptops/alienware-laptops?~ck=bt AMD's statement at the time: After announcing that they're having an RX470 in their Alienware 15 and 17 notebooks some months ago (http://www.eteknix.com/alienware-squeezes-rx-470-into-a-laptop/) the notebooks have gone on sale as of today. First up is the Alienware 15. Starting at $1349, it gets you an Intel Core i5-7300HQ quad-core CPU, 8GBs of single-stick single channel RAM and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. Moving up to the Alienware 17 now. $1449 gives you an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8GB of single-stick single-channel RAM and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. The RX470 in both of these is the full desktop 2048 stream processor one with 8GB of GDDR5 memory, and if AMD is to be believed with their "full desktop RX470" quote it runs at the same 926/1266 MHz as the desktop cards. Both of these laptops come with a 68 Wh battery, upgradable to a 99 Wh one for $50. One thing they both don't have though is a FreeSync-enabled display. That's a bummer, seeing how the GeForce 10-series editions of the Alienware 15 and 17 do have a GSync display. Interesting devices. The RX470 is no slouch at 1080p, so for the prices given they're actually pretty great notebooks.

Hi all I own the msi rx470 gaming X edition, which has the RGB msi logo on the side. I was wondering if it is all possible to tap into the wiring and run perhaps a few led lights or a small led strip inside the gpu? I am confident with my soldering skills to do this but I don't know much about power draws of LED's etc to just dive straight into it. Picture for reference - my terribly painted RX470

Hi guys! just wanted to show off my newest build. I recently started studying so i've had to cut back on luxuries. I sold my watercooled 4690k + r9 290x build a while ago but was getting bored of not having a computer I could play around with, so I started my search to build up a 1080p/60fps computer that'd i'd be able to overclock without living off noodles for the rest of my study life. I live in New Zealand where parts are quite expensive (a GTX1080 is about $200 USD more expensive here than in the US) but I knew from previous experiences I could get a lot of parts shipped over from the US for a lot cheaper than buying here. The amazon used marketplace became my best friend where I picked up my both my GPU and motherboard for 3 TIMES less than i'd pay in New Zealand. Both were used but condition was perfect. Here is a breakdown on all parts used and how much I paid. CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 @4.2 Ghz = $107.00 CPU Cooler: be quiet! PURE ROCK 51.7 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler = $31.00 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard = $59.99 Memory: Kingston FURY 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory = $35.00 Storage: OCZ ARC 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive = Free from Previous build Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive = Free from damaged external HDD Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 470 4GB Gaming X Video Card @1376/1737 = $100.00 Power Supply: Raidmax 850W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply = Free from a friends broken PC Case: Corsair Carbide Series 88R Micro ATX Windowed = $60.00 Lighting: RGB lighting from aliexpress = $4.00 Cables & Combs: Aliexpress (WinFmod) = $10.00 Total: $407.00 I decided to go with the i3 6100 as I liked how you could use the older bios to overclock the non k cpu's. I could have searched around for say an i5 4460 which i could probably get near the same price, but I wanted to make my way into the skylake/DDR4 game. I have the i3 OC'd to 4.1 Ghz, and memory at 2666mhz. I plan to go higher on the cpu once I figure out what voltages I feel comfortable with. I wanted to do a mAtx build as I had built both a full ATX and itx build before, which is why I picked the case. it was cheap and is quite good, however cable management is a pain, so I'm having a local sheet metal store fold me up a piece of sheet metal to make into a cable basement. I'll update the thread when I get that done. Would love to hear any suggestions or thoughts on the build! Excuse the terrible pictures as I only have a cheap phone to take them with. so i recently bought a gigabyte 4gb rx 470 but iv been having realy weird problems with it and am just not sure what to do like most games run at like ok frame rates but im seeing other rx 470s doing better frame rates same settings whats going on

How capable would this build be? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ instead of the 1060 i went for the cheaper rx470

TL;DR: I need a small case (detaills at point 7). 1. Budget & Location Strictly less or equal than €800. €650 ($US 688.54, $CAD 931.55, $AUD 925) for the PC. Spain. 2. Aim Gaming, light software development and general tasks. I primarily aimed towards gaming on 1080p 60FPS at least at medium settings. Games that I'm interested in are Battlefield 1, Titan Fall 2, The Division, (I think this is enough to understand what types of games I want to run on this build), and some other games which are less demanding, I think (Overwatch, CS:GO, WoT, WoWs...). I researched different types of mid-range GPUs, and RX470 looks promising (high setting 1080p 80FPS on BF1). 3. Monitors 1 monitor. No plan to add more. 1920 x 1080. 4. Peripherals The remaining €150 will be for keyboard, monitor and some other stuff that I don't know right now, like cables, cooling stuff, thermal paste... I don't need OS. 5. Why are you upgrading? The main purpose of this build is to upgrade from my 4 years old MSI GE60 laptop to a nice small desktop with a lifespan of 5 to 6 years. 6. Planned parts PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RxkFKZ Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RxkFKZ/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Asus H110M-D Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($57.45 @ Jet) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.89 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus Radeon RX 470 4GB STRIX Video Card ($191.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($46.99 @ OutletPC) Total: $520.31 7. Stuff that I need help First, a easy one, is this build optimal for the budget? Now my real question: I don't have much room for a desktop, so I'm looking for a compact case, mATX one. I've 2 candidates: HIDITEC SLM20 (330 x 430 x 100mm) and TACENS ORUM III (427 x 300 x 100 mm). I think it might fit, but I'm not sure. I would like to know if my build fits in these cases. Any other suggestion is nice. May use PCI riser for GPU. If it's too complicated, I might switch to a relatively small ATX size. Any suggestion is also nice. Should I add a CPU cooler or the stock one is enough? About monitor: BENQ GL2250 looks nice, opinion? 8. Additional stuff Here there are a couple of deals, Gigabyte H110M-Gaming 3 and MSI RX470 8GB, at almost same price as above. Recommended do get them? Thanks

Heya there! I'm having this thing with this GPU that I bought for my girlfriend, (she's a real Rust addict) While playing Rust the video card goes up to 77*C and I think thats too hot considering that my r9 280x only got as high as 75*C In her case(which I gave to her) Are there any ways to lower the temps without buying stuff like cases and coolers? The case has one front intake and one exhaust and its very clear inside, nothing to make the air go crazy. The cooler pulls air just under the video card. As I said, it gets hotter than my 280x and I find find that weird. Are there any programs to lower voltages or do stuff like that? (I have no idea how to) Can any of you rx 470 guys with the same problem tell me a quick solution to lower the temps via software with at least 2-3 degrees? I know I'm not the only with this thing with the RX470. Drivers up to date, Win10 I3 6100,8gb DDR 4,500w psu. Raidmax aura case with airflow mods(chopping it with the metal scissor) Thanks

Which graphics card will perform better the RX470 or the notebook graphic card GTX960M. Is there any comparison between those? I was planning to buy an msi gaming laptop so will it be worth it if it has a 960M??

Hi, I bought the Sapphire Nitro+ RX470 4GB and whenever I install Radeon 16.9.2 or above, suddenly my GPU does 100% usage and I need to downgrade to 16.9.1... Can anybody please help?
-
Im confused between the RX 480 4gb and the RX 470 8gb. Both are the same price in my country(MSI Gaming X versions).
-
I know this has been asked already but I am confused. Some reviewers say there's no point in the RX 470 having 8GB of Vram for 1080p gaming as it will not have enough power in other areas to ever use 8GB but they also say the RX 470 is not far from RX 480 in a lot of games and could be overclocked to 480 levels. So if that's true then why wouldn't a Sapphire Nitro RX 470 8GB overclocked a little bit make sense? I plan to have this card do me for 1080p for the next 3 years and they are both similar price where I'm buying so I'm wondering why I should buy one over the other. Thanks in advance for any helpful replies

What do you think, What will be the power of the GTX 1050? Every Pascal card was better than last gen Maxwell card(same tier) by ~80%. GTX 1080 = 980 + 80% more power (>TitanX) GTX 1070 = 970 + 80% more power (>980 Ti) GTX 1060 = 960 + 80% more power ( ~980) But can 1050 get 80% more perfomance than 950? That would make it 1050 = 970, but thats very unlikely. A lot of people are saying that 1050 will compete with RX 460, but I really doubt it. 460 is very weak, It sits in between GTX 750 Ti and 950 in DX11. And In Dx12 and Vulkan it wins, but not by much. I think 1050 will have power of R9 380X, because there Is a big difference in RX 460 and RX 470, and R9 380X just sits in the middle, Its quiet possible GTX 1050 to have RX 470 power, but again Its highly unlikely. 380X is really powerful card, but it generates a lot of heat and is very power hungry. Also 2GB and 4GB variants might have different specs like Nvidia did with GTX 1060. What do you think?

Hi! My future build Consists of a moderate 4.4 - 4.5Ghz OC with a reference RX470, Single HDD and SSD, with 3 case fans and 24gb of ram, (2x8gb and a salvaged 8gb stick) Most PSU Calculators Show about 420W Usage, with some real benches showing 350W~ Usage. Looking to see if anyone here has a better view or opinion. Thanks

Hello! I've been lurking these forums for a while and i finally decided to post and ask for help. After spending days looking up PSU's and trying to find the best one that fits me i gave up and i'm running out of time. Recently my GTX560 died and i ordered an RX470 Sapphire Nitro+, my old PSU is garbage and i don't intend to use it with the new GPU. My specs are: CPU: I5 2400 3.8 Ghz GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX470 Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3 RAM: Hyperx 8GB DDR3 HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM My budget is up to 75-80euros which is ~9500 RSD (1euro=123RSD) (i'm looking to save as much as i can though if i plan on eating next month ) Keep in mind that the taxes in my country are huge, (cheapest rx470 is around 330USD) Here's a list of stores i could use: Local seller, probably the lowest prices in the country and a wider array of PSU's. The cheapest store in the city with mostly raidmax / thermaltake psu's Comtrade with Antec PSU's Gigatron shop The first link probably has the best options and the prices are in Euros. Noise doesn't bother me, i need something that'll be stable and last long with a good price/performance ratio, the PC runs 8-20h / day. Note: I might upgrade and add another RX470 and add an SSD in the future (although if that would obliterate my budget just forget it). Many thanks in advance! PS: Ordering from amazon, ebay etc. won't work due to the taxes we have to pay at the customs, making any purchase above 50eur far more costly than it should.

Just purchased an MSI 4gb RX 470. When messing around with Afterburner and Radeon Settings it seems that none of the settings I change, fan curves, rpm, power limit,etc... actually are applied. And on top of that, Afterburner is now completely blank and seems to not be recognizing the card's settings. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Do the new RX 400 cards have the option to use the CrossFire bridge or is it just a motherboard thing now?
-
Hey people of the forums. I've been looking into getting a gpu but can't make up my mind. I was originally going to go with a rx480 as my build was going to revolve around #redteam but not anymore, I've fallen into the blue ascetics, so I'm open to any side. so while i was debating about getting the 480, the 470 came out and i saw it was near the performance if the 480. then while comparing the 2 the 460 came out and my brain exploded. the 1060 on the other hand was an option but the price was quite high. my budget is $800-$850 cad. my build so far equals $650 so i dont have much room, although if it breaks the 900 mark its fine. what gpu should i get? 480.470,460 or the 1060(kinda unsure about the 1060) Specs: CPU: i5 6500 MoBo: Gigabyte h170m-d3h Ram: evo potenza 8x2(16gb) Case: NZXT S350 PSU: Cooler master 550w elite

would an fx 8320 bottleneck the msi rx 470? also does the rx 470 is ok for 1080p gaming or i should get the 480 cause of the small price gap?
