Hello. I always wanted rtx 2080 as the next best thing. RTX 2080 TI is really expensive. Stores are pulling their 1080TIs from shelves to push 20xx series so 1080ti is no option for me anymore not even used ones. I play at 2560 x 1440 at 144hz so extra fps is always good but ... Prices: RTX 2080 is 1000 dollars RTX 2070 is 708 dollars According to benchmarks the fps difference is at 2K aproximatelly 10-15 fps less than 2080 depending on the game. I feel like price/performance wise the 2070 is much better buy here. What do you think? Edit: I am not from USA. I am from Europe.

Hi guys hoping someone could help me out, it will not allow me to select sli on Nvidia Control Panel just says configure surround, PhysX and I have got my old gtx 660 out to see if sli works on them and it does but for my rtx 2080 it does not give me the option and I have already reinstalled drivers and done a fresh install of windows and tested both cards and they both work and both show up on device manager etc, but still don’t know what else could be wrong unless it’s the NVLink bridge that is not working or the slots on the card so is there a way to tell as the rgb still lights up on the bridge, thank you if anyone can help me at all in anyway.

Hey all, I am between these two cards. People say to get used GTX 1080ti for half the price of RTX 2080 but where I live I cannot get this offer and also would not buy used GPU. I run 2560 x 1440 at 144hz screen. So now I want to get your advice on whether to get a brand new GTX 1080ti or go for RTX 2080. The price difference is roughly $136 - $180 for example MSI RTX 2080 VENTUS 8GB is $136 more than 1080ti. In tests RTX is ~8% faster at 1440p which I assume is negligible. So is the price increase really worth it? To get the latest tech even though I cannot use any of the new features and who knows how they turn out to be useleful in the future. Thnaks all for your input.

Hello good people of the Internet. I am wondering whether it's worth it to build a new PC and I need your advice about it. (My specs are in my signature). I am mostly gaming and not video editing or rendering. I have a 1440p, 165Hz monitor and my GTX 970 isn't cutting it. I want to get a 1080 Ti or RTX 2080 as in my country the difference is only 50 euro, but I am wondering whether it's a good idea to simply buy a new PC and sell my current one, or just buy the 2080/1080 Ti and sell the 970. Since I will be gaming, I don't need to OC or an i7 chip, so I think that the i5 8400 will do just fine at 1440p. But is it worth it to build a system around it over my i5 4690k? Looking forward to your input.

Would the RTX 2080 be a lot more better on rendering 1080p videos than the GTX 1080 and if so, would two GTX 1080 work better than the RTX 2080 on rendering videos?

Will I get microstuttering or something similar if i paired Ryzen 5 2600X (or OC 2600) with RTX 2080 or GTX 1080Ti on FullHD with 144 Hz monitor? I know, i will get some bottleneck from processor, but this will maybe fix some new games with better (more difficult on graphics) graphics.

New cards are better for crypto mining than gaming.
Stormyskyes posted a topic in General Discussion
https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/8743/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-ethereum-mining-results/index2.html Thats right. They are over 140% better in etherium mining but struggle to even pass the gtx 1080 and 1080ti in gaming by 20% (oh btw ethereum dosent even have a driver for the new architecture and its preforming that well.) I thought nvdia said they were going to focus on the gamer. (Guess crypto miners gave them more money) -
Just got this HP Omen Obelisk with RTX 2080... The PC works fine for a while and then suddenly there's no signal coming from hdmi. Rebooted and found that the card was 97 degrees. The fan didn't work at all and heat keeps building up. What could be the problem here??

this is the new build by yours truly, im sticking with the evo 970 m.2, as im merely indecisive. if you all have any ideas, cheap or just the tiniest bit more expensive (as this is meant to be budget for its power). see the clickable text below below for the build. //PCPARTPICKER BUILD//

So I just watched videos of CES 2019 about the Asus Zephyrus GX701 and Razer Blade 15 with both a 2080 Max-Q, but I noticed that on Asus' website, the card is listed as 8Gb VRAM, but on Razer's side it's at 6Gb of VRAM. Might it just be a mistake or could there be different versions of it?

Hello, I’ve been looking at rtx 2080’s and I’ve found one from Gigabyte for 730€ compared to the nearly 900 the other cards cost. It’s a Gigabyte Windforce RTX 2080. Now I know that Windforce isn’t the best, but is it really that bad that it’s not worth to buy it at that price point or is it fine? Thanks in advance.

I was mid game in rainbow six siege when all of a sudden the game froze and only displayed red green and blue colored pixels so I restarted my PC. When I booted it up again the resolution randomly changed to 800x600 from 1920x1080 so I changed it back to 1920x1080. When I did the screen had a bunch of white lines everywhere. I tried updating drivers as well reinstalling them completely. When I opened 3D mark it said I had no compatible benchmarks as my system did not have enough vram. I don’t know if my 2080 died and need help fixing whatever went wrong.

Hey everyone! I have saved enough money to buy myself a new PC but don‘t quite know what and how. I want a small mini ITX PC with either an RTX 2080 or GTX 1080 ti and a good cpu preferably from Intel. I need it to be portable since my parents are divorced and I want to take from house to house. I have never built a PC. I know thermals are an issue with these small PCs and I don‘t quite know if an RTX 2080 makes sense in such a small pc. Any ideas what I should go for? Are there any guides/tutorials since the last thing I want is to mess it up? My max budget is 1600€ (keep in mind that rtx 2080 is around 620€ in EU). Thanks in advance!

Hey Folks,I recently purchased RTX 2080 FE to upgrade myself from my old GTX 960 2GB. I love the Card and I'm now planning to upgrade my CPU and MoBo only. I would like to keep gaming on my current Monitor and have no plans in future to upgrade it. I'm eyeing the Intel only and in that Core i7-7700K (or any near its price). Is that a good future ready CPU for my GPU ? When I say future ready I mean to run it till the end of 2020 atleast. Please suggest if this CPU would be a good buy. Please be as descriptive as you can be. Oh and do let me know if that PSU can handle it. Scenario: I just received two EVGA RTX 2080 XCs and the EVGA NVLink bridge. I installed both of them on the two PCIe3 X16 slots I have available (confirmed using GPU-Z). I installed the NVLink bridge. I updated Windows 10 to 1809 (Enterprise, 64bit, LTSC 2019, Build 17763.107). I installed the latest NVIDIA Driver (417.35) - did "Clean Install". Issue: When I go to NVIDIA Control Panel, the SLI option is not present, only the PhysX sub-menu exists. Extra Info: Physically, I know both PCIe Slots are a part of the same PCIe root complex. I am able to run two Quadro P2000s in TCC and perform direct (dev-to-dev) cudaMemcpys. I confirmed Dev2Dev using NSIGHT; I had a 3rd GPU for display. Dev2Dev would not be possible if the PCIe devices were on different roots. Question/Request: Any ideas from the community as to why the NVIDIA Driver is not exposing the SLI option? System: Single Intel Xeon E5-1650 V4. 32GB DDR4. 480GB SSD HyperX Savage. HP Z640 Workstation with the HP 710325-002 Motherboard. HPs Spec Sheet: http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04400040.pdf External 700W PwrSupply dedicated to the two GPUs. Stock PwrSupply to drive MB and other peripherals. Two EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 XC with EVGA NVLink. Thank you, in advance.

After installing my new graphics card (RTX 2080) I had some minor problems that I was able to stomp out like crashes and odd frame rate but even after all of that many games still randomly stutter for no apparent reason. I ran my MSI afterburner and watched the stats and nothing really struck out on me at the time it stutters (then again i'm not very great with understanding all of it or what to look for so I could just be missing something) There is no rhyme or reason for the stutter in regards to when it's happening in game play and when i turn on my computer after it being off the problem seems to be gone or at least less for a while. I haven't change my core or any setting though that doesn't mean they haven't somehow haven't gotten change. When I first installed the card my games were running at insane FPS far greater then the FPS that the post release benchmarks were saying for those games, over 400 for rainbow six on max while the post release benchmarks say what it's closer to now. I don't know why. While i didn't notice anything in MSI afterburner (again not sure what to look for) I did see while playing overwatch that the Temp lowered during the stutter with the in-game stats I don't know if i need a new part, there's an issue with the software/driver (i've reinstalled the driver multiple times, which did fix all my other problems), hardware, or conflicting software/hardware Please help if you can, this is stressing me out. Source is coming from: It's difficult to get a quote on which part of the RTX 2080 Ti died, however, users claim to have failing RTX 2080 Ti, even running at stock This affects AIB 2080Ti too: However, it should be noted that users reporting RMA are mostly the RTX 2080 Ti: In my opinion, I think this is just another luck with the bath tub curve model. Early model/revision are quite buggy, defective, and/or prone to fault. I would like to add that this is the first time where a x80 Ti was released alongside with the x80 and x70, instead of after a Titan series. What do you guys think? This is an unlucky struck or Nvidia just rushing their cards out into the market, despite game developers are working on implementing DXR into their games? Please, I would appreciate that you remain civilised in commenting this news. UPDATE on October 31, 2018 DigitalTrend brings attention to the RTX 2080 Ti dying prematurely. Source. While the RTX 2080 is also affected, it seems that there are more reports on the RTX 2080 Ti than the 2080. People are reporting this issue on Reddit threads.

Hi, This is my first post but I looked and didn't see anything written about it anywhere so here goes. I benchmarked my PC to see how it would perform playing FFXV and low and behold I see scores on the list for both the RTX 2080 and 2080 ti. Now I'm actually interested in buying the ti XD. Take a look Source

Hi guys, I already made a post about my GPU problem, where I was told to try out different drivers, over- and undervoltages and a fresh Windows installation. The problem is, that my GPU is randomly crashing when on Desktop or ingame. Fans ramping to 100%, audio keeps working and I can even pause youtube videos when it happens. Reverting to old drivers fixed the problem for a couple of days, however it happened again yesterday when I was on desktop. Thats why I want to upgrade to a 3080, but they just arent in stock Does anyone have another suggestion to fix my problem?

Hello, it is a daughter board from Gainward RTX 2080 cooling solution. It has Nvidia 14-pin cable which goes to the PCB of the GPU and 3 small 4-pin sockets for fans and LEDs. Do you thing I can purchase this entire part including the cable somewhere? Thanks for your help.
