Hi So my motherboard died a few days ago and I need a CHEAP replacement. As this is for my old computer, I don't want anything fancy ideally I would like to spend a maximum of around £70. I just want to get the computer up and running again. If you have any suggestions please let me know? Guys, since i set up my new system the oldest and most annoying fan sound of it remained the fan in my 7 years old Corsair HX650W. First I changed it with one of my old but more quieter Nanoxia Deep Silence 120 mm PWM fan but since the original Adda AD1212HB-A71GL's rpm is 2200 and nanoxia's is 1500 I wasn't very comfortable with this solution. So I bought a Noctua NF F12 industrialPPC-2000 PWM fan considering it's 2000 RPM is closer to the original Adda fan but my HX650 failed to jump start the NF F12. My best guest is it might be because of the high starting voltage requirements of the NF F12 so I put back the nanoxia fan. So what should i do now to have a quiet and good performing psu fan? I ordered replacement for the original fan from aliexpress I tried that but the new one is quite noisy too. I contacted local and international corsair support; local one said use the new of the same fan, international one said they'll reply, then they even didn't! I didn't think it would be healthy to use mobo controllers to control psu fan since i can't read psu temperatures and stuff. I'm open to suggestions.

Hello! I searched all over, and could not find any replacement fans for the Gigabyte P35K Currently, the fans are making a grinding noise, and there are no clear screws to take them apart, so we cannot clean them and lubricate I was wondering if there was somewhere where I could order them online -Thanks

Okay so i know the title there was total BS but i couldn't think of anything. My Question is this I've had my ATH-AD700x Open Back headphones for close to a year now. And well the Spark is vanishing in our relationship, im unsure if its the pads that i need to replace or if its the stupid wings on the top that dont even hold them to my head correctly even with a rubber band. i need help! So I've looked all over the net and a lot of good info I've seen in the past was in the now Dead TekSyndicate forums and well it ain't available now. So if you can help me out that would be great! So i either have to attempt to keep using the current pads i have by throwing them in the washer or hand washing them [ not velour just cotton fiber like material ] OR I find some other brand headphone whose pads will fit these cans or a aftermarket that makes pads for this exact model, as im often limited to E BAY i don't trust those cheap Chinese made pads that look like plastic half of the time. I also find the headphones just don't have that sparkle they used to have and sometimes sound normalized to me if that makes sense, dull and boring. i use a fiio e10k Olympus 2 amp.

Hey guys, my PSU fan seems to be defective. My PSU is the PURE POWER L8-730W from bequiet and my father agreed to help me change the fan, since he is the one that knows all about such topics. Here is the link to the bequiet page: http://www.bequiet.com/de/powersupply/251 If I have to replace said fan, which one would fit? From the page I conclude it's a 120mm silent wing 4 pin with 1802 rpm but I am not sure if those fans are standard 120mm fans 120x120x25mm Should I get one of those for a replacement? -> http://www.mindfactory.de/search_result.php/search_query/bequiet+silent+wings+/Hardware/Kuehlung+Luft/Gehaeuseluefter/Gehaeuseluefter+120mm.html Only people that know what they are talking about, please Thanks in advance! Best regards

Topic. After a pair of Logitech Z323 speakers failed on me (clicking noise, something to do with the subwoofer), I have decided to write Logitech speakers off in search of a better pair. I prefer to spend under a $100, but after this debacle (and considering the fact that I am trying to save for college), I am willing to go $50 over my budget if necessary. I was considering the $100 Bose Companion III speakers as a replacement, as none of the reviews for it on the Best Buy website mentioned anything about sound distortion according to the keywords mentioned. But I was curious if anyone had a recommendation for a different set of speakers. Oh, and these speakers need to have a headphone jack on them, as well as be able to adjust the volume. I also only want 2.0 or 2.1 speakers. Thanks in advance!

So about two or three yeas ago I bought a Logitech G400s for daily use and gaming. I love this mouse and its still powering on as my daily driver. But I'm building a second computer and would like to pair it up with something similar to the G400s. Hears the thing, I'm really not a big fan of the "gamer" aesthetic when it comes to my peripherals. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some PC games, I'm just not generally into the whole aesthetic companies are pushing on us. I like clean and simple. For context I had a Razer Blackwiddow Ultimate (2010 edition I think) and upgraded recently to the Corsair Vengeance K65. Back to the issue of the G400s. So I'm looking for something as close to it in design and layout as possible without sacrificing performance, or looking absurd. I'm right handed. My hands are on the smaller side, and I like to use a palm grip. I'll be using the mouse for daily use and gaming, and one more thing, I'm really attached to the two side buttons on the G400s so any replacement I consider should include some nice side thumb buttons. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. It hasn't been easy shopping for a new mouse, the market is absolutely flooded with choices. -Thanks

Hey guys! So, a little bit of back story. About 2, 3 years ago I bought an H80i, to cool my FX-8350. It does a fantastic job at that. Now, back then I was living in a rathere noisy environment so the PC was barely audible over anything else, and since I didn't use to game at night noise didn't bother me. I have since moved and kinda became obsessed with silence. The only thing that is noisy in my PC now are those damned SP120L. I have set a fan curve for them, between 900 and around 1200RPM. At 900 they're ok, although the performance is not stellar. At 1200, oh boy, they become quite nasty and irritating. There's a distinguishable "grrrrrrrr" coming from them. Now, I thought about replacing them and the first two things that came to my mind were Noctua's NF F12s and Corsairs SP120(non L). All I want is to run them at about 1200-1500RPM. I have found a thread on Corsair's forum, where people have reportedly said normal SP120s are better. What do you say? And for all intents and purposes I am open to other solutions. Thanks in advance, Lawrence.

Hello! I have had my Alienware M11x R2 for several years. My battery has since died, and I use this laptop as my daily driver. Anybody know any cheaper replacements for this battery? I bought a replacement from Easy&Fine, and it held a charge, but the computer wouldn't recognize it or use it. Thank you everyone! Hunter

So I have a birthday coming up, and I think I need some new earbuds, because my current apple ones are awful. They have terrible sound quality, and leak a ton of sound. The problem is, the only earbuds that fit my ears are Apple earbuds, and new ones are expensive and they kinda suck as well. Any suggestions for some half decent earbuds that are shaped like Apple's, as well as being preferably under $40? And with inline controls? Thanks

Hi, I spilled water on my laptop Asus GL752VW-DH71. Switched off immediately after realizing (probably took 2-3 minutes i think). I dired it up, using a hair drier and kept idle under the hot sun. Powered it up next day, found some keys aren't working (these are the keys ADFJKL: ). I thought of changing this keyboard , as i dont have a choice to fix the shorted keys. The thing is "HOW to remove the frame ???? and attach the new keyboard to he frame !" . I havent found any screw to remove the frame and keyboard Can anyone help me out of this !!!

Hi guys, For the last 2 years I am using lenovo y50-70 (full hd, gtx 960m, core i7) as my all around computer. The screen panel that comes with that computer is LG Philips LGD044F (15.6'' ips panel, 30 pins connector, 1920x1080). I am not really satisfied with this panel (poor display in my opinion) and i am willing to replace it but i would really like to get some suggestions. I am currently living in Italy and if possible a place in Europe would be great. Thank you.

I have an iPhone6 and my battery no longer holds a charge, and thus I am looking for a new battery. Looking on amazon, I see a ton of battery options from different sellers, and I was wondering which I should get? Is there any risk involved if I just pick any random one? Is there a more reputable place I should be looking for a new battery?

Hey all, I have a Corsair K70 RGB. Its been a great kb since I got it a few years ago. However, a few of the keys are now double or triple clicking... particularly annoying when trying to enter passwords. Anyways, can I simply replace the problem keys with new Cherry switches? This is my first mechanical kb and I've never replaced them before. Thanks for any advice

Hello! I have a Dell Inspiron 5547 with an i7 processor and an 8GB RAM DD3L 1600mhz 204 pin (there are two slots). I want to upgrade my laptop's ram to 16GB (8GB each) but I'm worried if it will experience any issues when booting up because I read an article about a ram replacement and the laptop did not power on due to cmos battery etc. that i don't know anything about. So I would like to ask is it safe to upgrade the ram of my laptop? Will i experience any issues with it? Thanks!

So im kinda broke/cheap, and i want a higher end gaming monitor. So i was amazed when i stumbled upon very cheap ones, to notice that their screens were cracked. I see it as a HUGE bargain, because yes, its broken, but i can save a ton of money. So, my question is; What would be the price of replacing a screen for this monitor? I was looking into maybe getting a new graphics card I still have a Nvidia GTX 960. I am a programmer studying and experimenting with neural networks using the lib Tensorflow. I also PC game a lot and I bought a new screen that can render 4k graphics but alas my graphics card cannot handle the 4k goodness. I really could care less about 4k gaming but 4k YouTube and anime is something I'm interested in. Which made me think about all the great Nvidia options like the GTX 1060 6gb and the 1080 is it really worth it or should I wait for newer models to come out ultimately reducing prices of older models and having more options. Should I wait? I am so conflicted I decided to come to you the community and ask for your advice. The game is afoot!

Hey guys, I coming to you guys for advice after watching a linus tech tip YT vid. I have what I believe is an issue with my GPU. For the past week, my laptops screen has been plagued with unexplained tearing in games/videos, pixel noise, and constant visual artifacts. The problem intensified the higher my display brightness, and the more taxing my power usage setting (on power saver and low brightness the issues were much less noticeable, but still present).Theses issues immediately persists on each restart, and in safe mode. I did a check and all my drivers looked to be up to date, and 2 days ago clean installed all of them. From online research it sounds like GPU failure, but correct me if I am mistaken. In the past month, the laptop has had these issues and also the problem of the screen remaining black on startup, however these have resolved themselves within the day. I seek advice on how to repair or if necessary replace the card. If the latter is needed, do you have any recommendations for a card that will fit in my laptop? I have had this laptop for almost 3 years and for budget reasons need to wait at least another year before buying or building a replacement. I am a film student, so I use my laptop for adobe programs and video games mostly. Besides the inconvenience of the situation, my Finals are just a bit more than a month away I need to get my rig up and running ASAP. Any input is greatly appreciated, as my free time (and thus ability to quest out the answers I need) is limited. So uh, I managed to crack my LCD display on my Nexus 5 and was wondering if buying a replacemnt screen for it online (eg. eBay, LLTrader) is a good investment (~30e).The only thing I'm worried about is the quality of the display and digitzer - I'm sure I can replace it just fine, but if buying a screen is a good idea and if so, any recommendations ? I've well aware of etradesupply and LLtrader, as well FixEz. Would their quality differ ? Thanks

Inside my computer, I have a set of the NZXT Hue + LEDs. They have been great except fo the cam software. It crashes and slows down. It doesn't let me log in sometimes and it sometimes doesn't recognize the LEDs. Is there a third party app for the Hue + that works a bit better because I could really use a better version?

This is a post created with for the purpose of essentially "Crowdsourcing" a place for any good replacement audio jacks. After my pair of Skullcandy Hesh 2's 3.5mm cable died, I searched all over for a cable that would work for the odd recessed connector. I hope that people will post frequently to this to help others find replacements for their beloved headphone cables. Please look for your headphones in the comments before asking if anyone knows of a good replacement. If you can provide a link that would be nice as well. Kudos for links for other countries.
