Hello guys! I’ll explain the situation the best I can. I was surfing the Internet after a couple hours of gaming when the power was cut off for 2-3 seconds. The PC started by itself but it doesn’t boot (a simple push of the power button immediately shuts down the power). This is with the RX 480 inside. I’ve switched to another GPU from another PC (a GTX 1650) and with that card everything works just fine, from the 1st try. And when I shut the PC down from the button, it takes a few good seconds to be done, unlike when it doesn’t boot with the RX 480 (that’s why I suppose it doesn’t boot with the RX). The PSU is powerful enough and the system is compatible, everything worked fine for years, and in other cases of power shortages I just powered the PC again and that was it. (Lately, at night, power shortages occur..) Does anybody know what the problem can be? I already tried to remove the mobo battery and other solutions found online, but none of the issues were identical to mine, and since the PC works fine with another GPU I tend to believe that the RX 480 is dead. Unfortunately, the other PSU I have does not have the right PCI-E cable in order for me to test it in the other PC and see if it’s really gone. Does anybody have any ideas? Many thanks!

While cleaning my gpu I knocked off multiple capacitors near the gpu die. All the pads are intact and I even have on of the capacitors in a bag. How can I find out what capacitor it was?

Where the red line is drawn is when i got back at my desktop, this is the 3rd time I've noticed this behavior. My cpu runs at max speeds while my display is off or the computer is idle. Power plan is balanced, obviously as you can see when i start doing things on my pc, the cpu starts to downclock and behaiv normally. Why is that? Obvs i cant see what program is causing this cuz my pc is idle. Picture:

I was gaming and noticed that my NZXT temperature never changed from the idle temperature so I attempted to open up the app. It got stuck on a loading screen no matter how long I left it there. I uninstalled it and re installed it same thing happens. I looked at the support page for NZXT trouble shooting and it says to use revo uninstaller to make sure that every part of it is uninstalled which I used and then reinstalled the software once again it would not work. I used revo uninstaller once again and reinstall the software, it did not work. I use the uninstaller again and this time install the beta version this time it checks for updates and the proceeds into the eternal loading. I restarted my computer uninstalled it. restarted my computer again installed the beta once again restarted my computer again and tried to run the beta and once again it does not work. I am unsure what to do at this point which has led me here.

Edit: Solved. The ram was not properly mounted. The MSI 'Ez Debug' LEDs helped me figure this out. Hello, I'm trying to build a new PC and I ran into a problem :(GPU: RX 6750XTCPU: Ryzen 5800xMotherboard: MSI B550-A Pro Everything is mounted, yet the GPU wouldn't start. One problem is that 5800x does not have integrated graphics and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the problems. Behavior: Power on => CPU fan working, Case fans working, no restart What I tried:- Changing RAM positions (A2 + B2, A2, B2). - Checked the power connectors multiple times. - Changing the GPU PCI-E power connectors. Used various combination of two cables + used both ends of the splitter cable. - I did a Bios Flash using the latest update. Everything worked as described in the tutorials. - I tried 2 different PCI-E x16 ports (gen3 and gen4). - Tried both the HDMI ports from the GPU and the Motherboard. The cable is fine. Questions: Any insights or ideas? How to test which component is broken? I guess I have to buy, test and return) a second GPU. Can the CPU and Motherboard usually be returned once used? Is it possible that I have broken something on the Motherboard/CPU?I tried my best not to spill, touch or hit anything by mistakes. I checked the CPU pins before mounting the CPU. The motherboard itself appears to work (CPU fan, Bios Flashing, Power Buttons, Leds, etc.). Can, theoretically, the GPU work if the CPU has problems? Can the problem be from the CPU instead?

Build: MOBO: MSI B550-A Pro ATX AM4 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core PSU: Antec NE500G ZEN (500W) GPU: ASUS RTX 2060 DUAL EVO OC (PCIe x16) RAM: 4 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz CL16 HDD: 4TB Seagate Barracude Compute 3.5" HDD (SATA 6.0 Gb/s) M.2: Silicon Power 512 GB PCIe Gen 3 x 4 M.2 2280 SSD (NVMe 1.3)' Case: Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow ATX Mid Tower PC partpicker : https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/p3Q4Nc Problem: I built the computer Following the Tech Source Video Guide and it booted into BIOS first try. When I went to install the OS the next day, It would load into a blue screen after selecting the Windows 10 Boot Flash Drive. So I updated my BIOS expecting it to just be a BIOS related problem. (Which means current build has latest motherboard BIOS updated at the moment) I tried installing Win10 Pro today and it didn't even boot, it was missing a file related to the kernel. ntskernel.exe or something like that. So after that I decided I would try Windows 11 Boot Flash Drive. Before booting it though, I followed the troubleshooting instructions found in the forum post at the bottom of this topic. Doing so I was able to get to a Windows 11 Logo Screen with a loading circle and afterwards it crashes with an error. The first Error Code was : Error code: 0xc0000098. The Second and current Error Code (Stop Code in this case) is : Stop Code : 0xc000021a . View photos down below. And here I am now after clearing CMOS 4 times hoping that there is some other things I could do to fix it.

Hello So I bought a NVMe M.2 SSD (specifically the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 2 TB) and because my motherboard doesn't have any slots left I bought a PCIE Adapter. Now I saw that my motherboard doesn't have an 4x PCIE thing left. So I now need a way to connect my SSD to my PC. Is there like a NVMe M.2 SSD to Sata 3 adapter or something like that? Or is there a better way to do this? I would appriciate some help! Sorry if my english is bad. I am german.

So couple days ago i bought new kraken V3˙s and i plugged them in my pc and then the subtle noises started. I thought it could be the headset that is faulty but when i plugged them in any other pc they work just fine. I tried every possible solution that i found on the internet and it didn't help at all. I also tried switching usb ports but the problem still didn´t go away. Can anyone explain to me what the problem is? pc specs: -gtx 1060 3gb -i5 8400 -B360m HD3 -16 gb ram 2400 mhz -600w VEGA psu i think

Hi, After a life of about 1 year my PC build doesn't boot anymore. symptoms: - PC all of a sudden stopped running. - when trying to re-boot, pc fans & cpu fan kick in for a second, then the PC dies. - When I cycle the PSU and leave of off for a few minutes it at first booted again into bios. There I saw 12v rail dipping to 10 - 9 v (marked in red in the bios) , occasionally going back into 11-12v range. - coming out of bios, PC stopped running again. - Now, pc doesn't get past the initial pc fans & cpu fan kicking in for a second. Would this rather be a faulty PSU or a faulty motherboard or omething else? D.

Hi Everybody so this will be my first proper post here but I have a problem with my graphics card. I have a Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 version and it has a stupid problem. So I have noticed while gaming that it will constantly hit a power limit usually at around 70% usage and then the clock speed will drop and frame rate go down. I know that most 1650 cards have a 75w due to only drawing power from the pcie port but I bought this card as it has a 6 pin power connector and I have seen some 1650 use 90w during use I have seen that it will only draw power from the slot and wont draw power from the 6 pin connector and the lack of power is holding it back slightly I feel like I am loosing 20% of my performance. I have emailed the manufacturer of my card and their reply was this card needs a 6 pin power connector to be able to reach 75w as the pcie slot only provides 66w which I know is wrong and they are just not being helpful. I paid extra for this card with the extra power connector over a regular 1650 it was something like £10 more so not enough more to upgrade further so no I am stuck with a card that I am unable to use to its full potential and I cant afford a new GPU I have been off sick for the last 2 months. The exact Card I have is a Palit GTX 1650 StormX D6 When I bought it the page said the average power was 75w not the max and Palits page just says graphics card power 75w nothing about that being the max. They also do a identical OC version of my card which has the same 75w I did almost buy that one so glad I didn't as it would of been even worse. So thankyou for any help anyone can give me as I don't know what to do and I feel like I have been scammed. I have already emailed the manufacture and I cant call them as the number is in Germany and I am in the UK I cant afford a call to another country

***this has been resolved I just don't know how to close things lol*** So I'm building a PC build for my cousin and since my auntie is on a sorta budget I went with the optiplex upgrade route and case swap So far I've got everything to work, the power button and the odd fan connecter but the GPU chosen just isn't being detected by the motherboard It is an Optiplex990 (UK) with an Intel i5-2400 and 8gb of DDR3(?) Ram and has PCI-E gen 3.0 which the GTX 1050 is The WiF card (TP-LINKAC1200) works in all the SLOTS it is just the card not being detected I'm guessing I need a new motherboard but I'm not sure what one to get will work with both of these things It's also a smaller case/build *update* A Bios update didn't work so a new motherboard has been ordered, I have made sure to quadruple check its compatible with every part and will be here in 3-5 days, I will update this then

Hello! I have a pc with a GTX 660 powered by a 500W PSU. I wanted a quick upgrade, so I got a used Asus GTX 970 Turbo, I used DDU to uninstall NVIDIA drivers, and replaced the card. Connected one 8-pin connector. Turning on the pc, the fans spun to life and a white LED on the card turned on. The problem was that the screen didnt get any signal. I tried switching the HDMI for a DVI cable, but same result. Connecting into the mobo instead, the screen got signal, but no graphics card was detected and only the Intel HD graphics were used. I tried installing nvidia drivers from there, but it gave me "insufficient hardware" or something, as no card was detected. After switching back to the old card, the screen turned on (albeit with low resolution and stuff) but i could install gtx660 driver and things were back to before. Help would be appreciated!

My PSU started making some kind of noise that is similar to that of a rattlesnake. I literally have no idea what could be the problem and I'm not that expert to just open up the psu to see what's wrong. Any kind of help would be appreciated! Other than the noise in the video, I don't know what other information could I give. PSU Specs: GAMEMAX PSU 550W GP-550 GP550 80 Bronze I bought the PSU around 3-4 years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if it has any issue. VID_20220607_173341.mp4

Hey so I've been running into some trouble recently. Ever since I swapped my motherboard my gpu has been acting up recently. Basically I had been getting strange artifacts when I would sleep my pc and wake it up and watch yt for about 15 minutes get something strange pc screen goes black and gives me an amd report bug tool. This actually seems to be fine now... however this time I booted up valorant and my cpu actually went to a surprising 100% utilisation and went black and actually had to force shutdown (kill power) I'm praying it's not my gpu that's dieng however my processor is very weak and might not be pairing with my gpu well but who knows and ideas? Many thanks! Specs B450M AORUS GIGABYTE PRO Ryzen 3 3200g RX 580 8GB OC EDITION CORSAIR 16GB RAM 1TB HDD PSU 750W ROG STRIX

I am currently running a personally made setup with 64G of RAM running at 3200MHz, Ryzen 7 5800x, 3T of storage, and an 850 cooler master power supply. I was running a 3070 graphics card with no issues at all in the past. Then, one day every time I turned it on everything would work great then my display would drop out. I have tried a different 3070 ti and no fix to the problem. I switched from my 750 power supply to the 850 I am currently running with no change. I also recently tried plugging a 3080 into my rig and the same problem persists. However, the weirdest part is when I plug in an NVIDIA 1660ti the system works great and runs strong... I need some help because I am not sure why I can't use a higher power supply?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for help it's my first time here. So I can’t really remember how long ago this started maybe a few weeks ago or maybe at most three months. When I would play a game for a little bit my monitor just goes black but my pc is still on like if I have music going I can still listen to it or stop it. It’s like my monitor just turns off when I would try to turn on my monitor again it would just say no signal and turn off. So I have to restart my pc and it works again. Today I was seeing if it was temps by doing a benchmark, maybe 2-4 minutes in my monitor goes black but my temps never went pass 67 and I know that’s not it because I used to play at 75-81 a while ago. I tried a lot of different things checked for updates, updated it if there was one I uninstalled my monitor drivers, I changed the power settings the sleep mode and nothing is working and everywhere I look is telling me the same thing if there’s anything you could tell me to help would be helpful. I have windows 11 rtx 3090, amd ryzen 7 5800x, 64 gb of memory.

I just bought a Kingston Fury Renegade 500GB m.2 ssd, and as soon as i popped it in, launched Crystal Disk Info and Crystal Disk Mark. I got half the R/W speeds that I was expecting. I saw that the m.2 ssd was running on x2 not on x4, that it's supposed to. I installed AMD drivers, went into the BIOS but there wasn't any settings about the M.2 slots. My SYS specs are in the pics, please help me how I can change this to x4...

I've been having this problem for around a year now. I've struggled to find the solution to it. Whenever I load into a game I can sometimes have the game load at about 0.5 fps. But whenever I tab out (if I'm in fullscreen borderless) the game returns to normal. The thing is you cant play games when your tabbed out. I tried replacing my motherboard and CPU, no dice. I've heard it can be a graphics card power saving issue, Although I dont know where I would go and what to do to fix that issue. It could be DirectX, I tried 10, 11, 12, No changes. I tried changing texture settings within the games. Nope. Every setting under the sun I feel like at some point I've tried tinkering with. The thing that makes it even stranger is that it doesn't happen all the time. For BF2042 for example it happens about 4/5 bootups, same with GTAV, BF5. I dont understand what the problem is at this stage because sometimes in those games, It will work for 2-4 seconds before returning to unusable after tabbing back in. I dont know if its a hardware, software. Who knows. It also doesn't happen in every game, Apex Legends, Minecraft are some examples where it doesn't happen. I'm beginning to think its a hardware issue but if anybody has any suggestions, should I bring it to a technician. Also to note its not a monitor issue because I've used two different monitors, same issue. But again if anybody has any suggestions please send them my way. Its greatly appreciated. I also noticed my game was working ok before I updated my game ready driver. After I did it seemed to resume the same problems. This might be a coincidence but im not sure. Hey there, I bought a 3060 about half a year ago, and tried to configure it via MSI afterburner. while idle, seems like the GPU responds to the software perfectly (even when turning the fan speed to 100%, it responds) , but while in game the GPU just develop a mind of his own, going back and forth between very loud and almost silent. The thing is, at a certain point the software just doesn't monitor the fan speed, or says that it's as it's supposed to be, Though it's definitely the GPU fans (physically stopped every fan in the system while the system being loud, and while stopping the GPU fans stopped the noise levels are just fine). I had this problem from day 1 and I'm not sure if the product is defective, has compatibility issues with any of my other components, or if I'm doing anything wrong. I Know the ventus series is not supposed to be the best in terms of noise and temps, but the temps are actually fine, not passing the 70, it's the noise levels that I'm looking after. the fans speed/noise levels seems to have no correlation with the temps of any of the components in the computer. would be glad to hear any suggestions or if anybody has encountered this problem, or maybe even know if the card is faulty. Hello everyone! I am fairly new to PC’s and I was wondering if someone had a similar problem with what I have going on right now. So I purchased an ABS prebuilt system (10700K, 3070 Strix). The computer was working perfectly fine for the first 6 months until I got small artifacts on the screen. I wasn’t sure what was happening, so I updated Windows, drivers and restarted the system. Everything was fine until it happened again. I have included files to show what is happening and I am unsure if it’s my GPU or could it be something else? I still have warranty so I can RMA, but I’ve never done that before so I’m not sure what to do. When I play games, everything is fine. I max out the settings and there is no sudden CTD or blue screens or anything of that sort. 3 times that these artifacts have occurred were during idle or when I was on a car website building a car.
