Hello forumers, need help/advice. I attached my pc specs at the bottom, a not bad pc. the problem I have is that the fps in games is completely different from what I expected from this build. 60 fps in dota 2, 200 cs go (max) and barely 60 in GTA 5 (ofc all games on minimum settings) CPU temps under load are 60-70, got liquid cooling for it so it's not the problem I guess can someone help identify the problem?

Struggling to get my ASUS VG248QZ monitor to run at 144 Hz with my HP Victus 15-fa1026nb 15.6''. Tried different HDMI cables (1.4 and 2.1), a HDMI to DisplayPort dongle, and even a USB-C hub with HDMI. Tweaked NVIDIA settings, but no luck. The hunt for 144 Hz continues. I could only reach up to 80hz.

I recently swapped in a rx 580 and a be quiet 650 watt power supply in my pc and once I deleted old GPU drivers and downloaded new ones my screen started flickering black and back to normal a few times and stayed normal so I tried to run a game and my PC ran like normal but next time I turned it off and turned it back on the next day I get no signal on my tv. Yesterday I tried everything I could to get it to work but I only get signal by using onboard graphics. Then today I finally got it to work again by taking out the GPU and leaving it out until I finished installing ddu and uninstalling old drivers and then popped out the battery on the motherboard. After that I put the card back in and hooked everything up and when I turned it on with the HDMI display port adapter inserted into the card everything turned on and worked completely fine. The new drivers started to automatically download and install then the screen flickered black once like normal and came back on with no more flickering like last time. I installed a game(Skyrim) and played for a while and was getting 80 fps and temps never got over 70° Celsius. I played for about 30 minutes and everything worked fine so I decided to take a brake and turn it off and ran a couple of errands and when I got back I turned on my PC just to get no signal again. I've always had problems with this the past 2 GPUs I've had. It's pretty much a new PC that I got while prices were price gouged and I got it from magic micro and it doesn't even have over 40 hours on it. The first gpu was a GTX 970 and when I first installed it (got separate from my PC later) everything worked fine and I eventually came across a Zotac 1060 and this is where the problems started. I didn't know to uninstall drivers and I threw it in and everything worked fine until I turned it off then back on after about an hour of being off. After that I never got a signal. I tried to put my other card back in and it worked fine even after a few days even after I turned it off for a while then back on and the next day turned it on and everything was still working fine. But a day or so later I was never able to get a signal since last year. It's pretty much been shelved and bagged since then unless I tried to get it working to no avail. Which brings me to where I'm at now. It worked fine today once I uninstalled all old drivers and even got to play games once the new ones installed, everything played fine, but once I turned it off for about 2 hours I don't get a signal anymore unless I use onboard graphics. Can anyone please help me? I don't have another PC to troubleshoot parts with and I'm really hoping no parts are bad as it plays completely fine once drivers are installed. Idk why I don't get a signal after it's been turned off. I hate seeing it shelved all the time and there being nothing I can do to fix it. I'm at a loss here and really need help.

I've ran windows troubleshoot, reinstalled network adapter drivers 2 times with different versions, reset the network and tried on different WIFI's The laptop is Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 16ABR8, win 10pro (not the latest update I suppose), I bought it a week ago and barely used it

Hello guys I have probably the most dumb problem. I have c850 nzxt psu and it has modular cables and I attach my pcie cable to the psu. Now I bought gpu rgb extension cable and for some dumb reason female connector is not pcie it is eps(cpu), but end of it have male pcie connector. So I don't know what to do. Should i buy adapter to pcie to eps so i can connect this two, which means I would have Psu->pcie->pcie to eps adapter->eps to pcie extension cable->pcie to 12gpu.

I have tried everything, installing drivers without the secondary GPU, trying to reconfigure X11 and etc, is there any way I can confront these issues? Steam does not seem to have the same issues and I played Assassin’s Creed I at very unstable framerates because of this. I just realised that it could be my dual GPU setup causing this and I decided to remove the secondary. Both of them are Pascal GPUs, one is a GT 1030 (my old card) and my GTX 1080Ti my new card (at least after I upgraded). Before the upgrade I was using an HD 6450 as a secondary. Ask me more questions, I will be happy to provide you with more details. Thanks for reading. Here is are links to the same posts on Reddit and the Lutris forums if you need to take more info on this: https://forums.lutris.net/t/lutris-games-not-launching-properly-with-dxvk-when-i-add-my-secondary-gpu-for-my-secondary-monitors/18997

Hello, I have a pc with an MSI 4070 Gaming X Trio, Ryzen 9 5900x, ASUS B550 Pro Plus WiFi, 32 gigs of G.Skill TridentZ RAM, an NVME 1 tb SSD, and Windows 11 home as an OS. I just upgraded from a 3060 to a 4070, and whenever I try to run a game like Warzone 2 or Apex or Valorant, my GPU usage won't go above 40%, even though it is not meeting the requirements, but as soon as I use Furmark, it can reach 98-99%? I've tried a lot of different solutions and just cannot find a solution.

System configuration: I7 4790k (no Overclock) 16gb ddr3 RAM Gtx 970 M.2 ssd 2 hdd 1 sata ssd If I got at least 24hours between two start ups, the pc will either freeze when loading windows while booting, boots up and freezes within 5 minutes even If I do nothing or freezes when booting and throws me a "system thread exception not handled" blue screen. I tried to boot without my gpu, It still did the same thing I tried to boot with only one stock of ram It still did freeze while booting. I even switched my cpu to a perfectly working I5 4690 and It didn't work aswell. No pins are bent In the cpu socket Could It be a bad motherboard or power supply ?

Hi everyone! I purchased a Second hand Zotac Trinity OC RTX 3070 Ti for a 'good price'. At the spot everything was good, the box was clean, and the card looked brand new. After installing it and removing the 3060 Ti I previously had, I noticed that there was no noticeable improvement in some titles like Minecraft RTX (57avg.), GTAV (120fps avg.) Counter Strike 2 (180avg). Some games just became unplayable. Dirt 4 drops quickly from 80fps on the race preview to around 15fps on the starting line, Fortnite stutters more than ever and Control can barely reach 30fps. I haven't changed any settings from my previous card, that runs much better. My PC specs - Intel i5 10400f with OEM fan - Dell OEM RTX 3060 Ti (swapped for current RTX 3070 Ti) - Corsair vengeance 16gb RAM (2400Mhz increased to 2667 with XMP) - Asrock H510M-HDV/M.2 (Resizable Bar ON) - Kingston 480 GB SSD + Seagate 2 TB HHD + Seagate faster 500GB laptop HHD - Gigabyte P650B - Generic Mars Gaming case I ran the games at 1440p, mostly max settings (same as my 3060 Ti setup) I have tried reseating all the power cables and Ram, reinstalling and rolling back drivers, messing with MSI afterburner and Firestorm, but not much more. Is this a known issue and is there anything I can do? (apart from trying to return it, lol)). Thanks for your help Here are a couple of screenshots:

Hello, recently my motherboards LEDs have been flashing orange. I‘ve been reading about this in the internet (PSU problem and so on), but im not facing any computer problems as of right now, so i’m not even sure what the problem is or how to fix it. I‘m not sure if it’s just a lighting problem and if these LEDs even act as the motherboards indicator LEDs. My motherbaord hasn’t been showing up in OpenRGB or MSI Mythic Light, so i‘m just clueless what to do with this. Maybe someone can help me out here. Thanks in advance. If u want a photo or video of the PC/ motherboard, just ask me.

I started playing RDRO recently and was almost driven crazy(ier) by the right mouse button having a life of its own. The context menus and even ADS will disengage after a random number of seconds, usually between 2 and 5. Trying to do a wave emote and pulling a gun on players instead got old pretty fast and hunting is nigh impossible. This only happens when using toggle to aim and with more players in the session. If I force a solo session by blocking port 6672, I can play for hours with no issues. Just the same, if I'm in a populated session and use hold to aim, all is fine. I've never had this problem in any game, including GTA 5/Online. The very obvious solution is to use hold to aim, but the fact I'm seeking help shows that's not satisfactory. I have trouble coordinating aiming, shooting and holding the RMB all at the same time due to having a condition known as "sucking." Playing on a i7-7700HQ machine running Windows 10 Home with a G502 X mouse and MX Keys keyboard. The receiver dongle is very close to the mouse, so the problem is not a weak signal. I've asked about this on a couple of Reddit subs and got nowhere, so it's time for the LTTF folks to prove their inherent superiority over those normies. And do it quick, please, before we have no forum left as LTT races Twitter to see who implodes first. (JK, there's no comparison between the two, I know I can trust the owners, management and staff at LTT, and let's not even face off the lead vocals of both companies. You go, Linus & co., we stand behind you for praise or criticism.)

So, 3 months ago I've bought a new PC. But the PSU they sent was incompatible so I had to use an old one that I had. So far so good, until I started noticing shocks whenever I touched the chassis. Then one day I turned on the PC and there was no display. No mouse, keyboard and monitor signal. I've switched the power cable and it fixed this for a week, but the same symptoms appeared again, so I sent the PC to a technician. He tested it, and it worked, so he told me the problem was my house's wiring. I live on a rent and the wiring here sucks, and has no earth wires. He told me to either move out or to get a UPS. So I bought one and everything worked for 3 weeks, until this week the same problem appeared again. I've switched the power cables again, and it worked again for 4 days, but today it happened again, and switching cables is not working. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Maybe it is the PSU? Would it cause the computer chassis to shock and the PC to power on but giving no display? What could explain the fact that sometimes the PC works fine and all of a sudden he stops displaying (detail: this only happens when I turn off the PC at night and then try to turn it on the next day)? I've already spent too much money buying the UPS. Thanks for reading.

Hello LTT community, I recently bought a MSI 3060 from amazon, new not refurbished. I don't think the card is the issue but the frames in many games I play have been having bad stutters to low fps. I get that the 3060 isn't a super powerful card; But I even tested it on Roblox and was getting bad stutters. I get stutters in modded Minecraft, satisfactory, GTA, Rd2, and a few more games I currently cannot think of. All my specs / system. are listed under my account, but ill paste them here. Help would be appreciated, Thanks. So today I encountered a problem with my PC, I decided to turn it on and I noticed that one of my drives were missing. I checked File Explorer, Disk Management, Device Manager, I don't see my drive at all. Weirdly enough, when I try to look at my BIOS, I see the drive is there and detected. Same as Intel Rapid Storage Technology app, it detected the drive. It's an old Seagate 500GB drive with quite a lot of important stuff and I haven't backed it up in a while. I've tried swapping SATA cables & ports and it's still not detected by Windows. The other 2 drives that I got are perfectly fine so I'm not sure what's wrong. Yesterday was fine too, I was able to use my PC normally and I didn't hear anything bad coming from the drive. It did make a few clicks when I boot it up so maybe it's dying? Anyone can help figuring this out? Thanks!

MX anywhere 3 mouse scrolls horizontally(sideways) instead of vertically(up and down). This isn't the horizontal scroll option where you press one of the side buttons and I've tried disabling that option and still scrolling horizontal. Also I'm not holding shift or any other keys. I've tried resetting the mouse to default settings. I've also plugged in another generic mouse into the same computer and it scrolls normally. And I've used the mouse on another computer with a fresh install of windows and it keeps the same strange behavior of scrolling horizontally (sideways). Any suggestions on how to get it to scroll vertical (normal)?

Hello all, randomly when playing games, browsing the web, even just using discord my computer seems to freeze for about 1-10s, it disconnects everything currently connected to my pc via usb and then reconnects them and I un-freeze. If I am playing a game the game doesn't even crash, and after the 1-10s I can just continue playing like it never happened. It seems to trigger quite often when someone joins or leaves my discord channel but I think that could be just a big coincidence as that doesn't really make any sense. I've tried using event viewer to source the issue, and discovered every time I freeze I get a Kernel Event Tracing error id 28. I think this may just be due to the fact that when I freeze my peripherals disconnect then reconnect , but every time I plug in my ASTRO A50's and my Hyper X Quadcast S I get those errors. Not sure if those errors could cause the freeze in the first place though. Seems to happen about only once a day not sure if i can remember if it's happened more than once in a day and I use my computer for hours upon hours everyday. Any help appreciated been dealing with this pretty much ever since I built the PC and I can't take it anymore. My specs: GPU : Asus Strix 3080 CPU : i9 13900k MOBO : Asus z790-e RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 64gb 6400mhz PSU : Corsair Shift Series 1000W NVME(s) : Corsair MP 600 and Corsair MP 600 PRO XT OS : Win 10 Pro I have tried upgrading my PSU from 850w to 1000w didn't fix it. I have tried upgrading my RAM from 32gb 6000mhz to 64gb 6400mhz didn't fix it. I have tried upgrading my MOBO from asus z690e to asus z790e didn't fix it. I have tried doing a complete clean install of windows (formatting the drive it was originally installed on and reinstalling with a USB) didn't fix it. I have tried replacing the A50's and Quadcast with brand new ones, didn't fix it. I have tried going into Power Management and turning off USB Selective Suspend, also went into device manager and made every single device that had the option of not allowing the pc to turn it off unchecked. I have tried updating bios to most current one, didn't fix it. Please someone help still not resolved as of 11/10/23
