This computer that I got was a Latitude 3450 that I got about 3-5 years ago, and had originally stopped working because of an overheating battery. The computer was from an old business that was getting rid of their old laptops, so I didn't get this computer new. It had stayed inactive for about 3 to 4 years until now I had bought a new battery, and got it working, but then it just restarted out of nowhere. After a couple restarts and BSoDs, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(storport.sys stopped working at that point) and eventually the MACHINE_CHECK_EXECPTION happened and it said that it would restart automatically, but it didn't, so I restarted it, and then it froze on the part where it said Getting Windows ready, don't turn off your computer" So I left it there for about 10 minutes and I had no choice but to turn it off. So I decided to change the ram, but I tried many different compatible sticks, but it wouldn't turn on. I believe my battery is fine because I just got it new, but I could be wrong. And my charger is also fine. I even tried using a different hard drive, so I don't believe it was corrupted files, bc it wont even go to the bios. My Ram is also fine bc it was working with it earlier. I tried to contact dell support, but I couldn't due to no warranty, and I really don't want to call them. One odd thing is that the power button icon's light is on(see picture 1) when I hold the power button, but a little after I let go, the light turns off. But the icon with the battery symbol doesn't turn on(see picture one). I just learned that my old battery does in fact work(image 2), but also wont boot. This was the battery that had overheating issues, so I don't like testing it, but I will test it if that is the last resort. I even tried using just the charger, but it still didn't boot. If you need me to go more in depth about what I was doing at the time, just ask me in the comments.

So I've been dealing with this for a while now, a few months or so. But sometime during the summer I did an nvidia driver update with geforce experience then the choppiness started. It appears in games and videos, it's only visual. I've tried quite a few things, reformatted at least twice, but it always starts again when I update my drivers. It doesn't do it when the driver is removed, or even during the mid-way point of a clean install update through geforce. The best way I can illustrate the choppiness is by drawing swirls in a drawing program, here's some pics in paint for reference. I know my way around a pc for the most part, but I'm by no means at the level of some/most of you guys so figured I'd finally ask for help instead of just smacking my head against a wall and not finding any fixes on ye olde innernette. Thanks in advance. PC Specs: Windows 10 64bit ver 22H2 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4008 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 1302, 2018-03-15 BIOS Mode Legacy Mobo STRIX Z270E GAMING RAM 32gb Trident Z RGB at 3000mhz (4 slots of 8gb) OS Drive: Samsung 960 EVO 250gb The picture with "clean" loops is midway through a clean update of my drivers, the other one is basically my new normal.

So, the other night, I was playing the new black ops cold war. Suddenly out of nowhere, my PC just shuts off and reboots. This happened multiple times and there's no reason for it. I have tried EVERYTHING to figure it out and narrowed it down to RAM. I had 2 4gb sticks of RAM so 8gb total. I took one out... PC wouldn't even boot up. Put it back in and took the other out... PC booted up. Both Cold War and Photoshop would instantly shut my PC down on loading so I used them to test and they worked... no crash with only 4gb of RAM. I thought it was that one stick so I bought a 32GB set of Klevv CRAS X DDR4 3600mhz RAM (x2 16gb) and thought it'd work. Put them in today, it booted up, everything was great! But now... It crashed almost an hour later. What could be the cause? There is nothing visible to me that is broken and nothing flagging up on the system. I don't know what to do anymore and I am really upset as I use this PC to chase my dream career and can't afford to buy a new one. This is my last hope. If anyone can help or has any idea what to do, that'd be great. I can't take it to a shop as they're all closed during lockdown. The videos show is crashing and what it was like before I got the new RAM. But even now, it is still crashing. Just not as fast. Here are my PC stats if it helps at all... Model: ADMI Gaming PC Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Graphics Card: Radeon RX 580 Series Motherboard: PRIME A320M-R RAM: 32GB KLEVV CRAS X RGB 3600mhz DDR4 video-1605564542.mp4 video-1605564544.mp4

Hi, so my pc is having a overheating issue i think. So when ever I start playing any type of game my pc will stay cool enough to play then after about 10 min it will do a complete shutdown and reboot without warning. I've been watching my gpu and CPU temps and both have been under 50 degrees Celsius while gaming and I'm still having this issue. Does anyone know what other component it could be?

So I recently bought the msi Radeon Rx 470 armor 4gb gpu and I've had it for about a month now and then it began to have issues. Now when I start up my pc and log in. I will wait about 1 minute then my pc monitor will begin to show multiple lines of color then it will flicker then show a different image of multiple lines of color then do that a few times then my pc will do a reboot and start all over again. I installed the newest drivers in a last attempt to fix the issue and it didn't work. I've sent in the gpu to get a replacement. I'm just wanting to know if anyone has any idea what the issue could be? P.S the programs I've been using are MSI afterburner and amd Radeon application.

Today, my only working computer (atm) decided to kill all the ports. I turned it on, usual whiiirrrr, and I noticed the monitor and everything connected externally did not light up. The keyboard did not light up, the mouse did not light up, and the monitor didnt even try. I took a device that measures USB electricity and it had no current at all. The computer still turns on fine, but nothing connected to it will work. The computer is a Lenovo Erazer X315. So far I'm having a joyous time typing this on a backup Linux computer that is running Kali. Help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, i have had my GT 710 GPU for a while and it has a base clock of 1020MHz and averages 150-200 Fps on games like Minecraft and my GPU temps are normally (under load) 55 degrees Celsius to 63. I was wondering if i should overclock it to something like 1050-1100MHz. Thanks, George.

I had installed a voice changer that I got bored and annoyed of so I decided to uninstall it. After some time, it had somehow screwed up my settings and now it sounds like I'm blowing into the mic. I knew it wasn't the mic itself because I tested my mic and it sounded like my voice was deeper and was robotic like in the settings, I have tried reinstalling my drivers but it doesn't seem to work. Has anybody every experienced this problem? If so, do you know how to fix it? The voice changer I installed was ClownFish Voice Changer Thanks

Msi x370 gaming pro carbon EZ debug CPU
Agallegos92 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, I just recently upgraded to the x370 gaming pro carbon mobo as well as a ryzen 5 1500x. I currently cannot get it to post no matter what I do. When I first boot the system the ez debug led comes on for the CPU for about 4 seconds then turns off. I have tried re seating the CPU, Gpu, witch is an ARMOR Gtx 1070, the ram witch is two ddr4 8 gigabyte Geil Evo Potenza 2400Mhz and I've also tried unplugging and re plugging all power supply connectors to mobo and CPU. I have an 800w power supply that has been working fine with my last build so I don't think it's that. I've read online that my mobo bios might need an update to support ryzen 5 but I'm unable to check bios version as I cannot get it to post to bios no matter what I try. The lights above the ram slots light up indicating that they are being read correctly, and I left my pc on for three hours while I was at school because I thought I might need to initialize but I still have gotten nowhere. My CPU and Gpu seem to be working as they both get a tad warm after being left on for a while. If anyone has any ideas as to what might be going on I'd love to hear them please!!!- 4 replies

So I have a bit of a problem... I recently bought an old server machine off eBay hoping to have a centralized storage solution for my house. It is a poweredge 2950 by Dell, with two 2.33ghz Xeons (they are kinda old), 8GB of fully buffered RAM, and a perc 6/i RAID controller. In it, I have 6 Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 250GB drives. In order to achieve better reliability and speed, I decided to set up Raid 50 (a combination of RAID 5 and RAID 0). I was hoping for some decent speeds, at least so I wouldn't have to wait hours for my computers to transfer their data. Unfortunately my speeds are a terrible 15 Mb per second transfers. I got very disappointed and I decided to test my transfer speeds with RAID 0 and I got the same! My biggest suspect here is the fact that I have to transfer my data through wifi, but I think that it is still very low, EVEN FOR WIFI! So I come to my fellow brothers here in the forums for help. WHAT IS MY BOTTLENECK????!!! I'm almost sure everyone is gonna say its the wifi, but I really feel like there is something else... Btw the server is connected over ethernet to the router

I am getting 100 percent cpu usage, with about 60 percent gpu usage with an, i5 4690k and a 1070. Can someone please explain because with some research this should definitely not be a bottleneck.I am wondering if it could be my motherboard or 650w powersupply. Thanks. Ill supply photos if needed

I have a gaming pc that I custom built, and I've been having this problem where I get "no signal" on my monitor. Everything in the PC is running - fans of all kinds, light on the GPU, noises, etc. Neither a VGA or a HDMI has worked on it. I've tried thee different monitors, I've tried plugging it into the motherboard and tried it on the GPU. Neither work. All the standoffs are on correctly, and every hole is covered. The GPU is screwed in and connected all the way down. The CPU is put in correctly and fresh thermal paste is applied. Things to note: 1. I used different kinds of screws for the motherboard, most are these smaller ones, but a few are bigger ones. All the standoffs + screws are secured, it's just that they're different screws. 2. The first time I built it, I didn't have all standoffs on - so the initial boot didn't work. Not sure if that would affect future performance or not. 3. I am using an adapter for the GPU - since my power supply didn't have the correct connector. 4. I get no beep codes at all, initially I got static (scratchy type-noise) and now I usually get nothing at all (occasional static too). Specs: Motherboard: MSI 760GMA-P34 GPU: Radeon R9 270 CPU: AMD FX 6350 RAM: 8gb Ballistic DDR3 (one stick) (not sure exactly what one beyond that) Hard Drive: Not sure what kind of hard drive or optical drive beyond that the HDD is a 1tb. PSU: Logisys "480W 20+4pin Switching Power Suppy" I have gone through the checklist that is often linked to these sort of posts on Tom's Hardware - none of them it helped. I have yet to see even a slight image - it's never worked properly to date. Therefore I don't have access to the bios, there's no drivers, and there's no windows.

So I have just recently bought a computer from some guy on craigslist and I brought it home and it didn't seem to run as well as I thought it would. It could be because its an APU but I'm not really technical. I want to replace it with a cu and graphics card but I'm really not sure which one i should get or if my motherboard will even handle it. I'd really love some help on this thanks motherboard-A68f2p-m4 (v1.0) Processor- AMD A4-7300 APU with Radeon Graphics 3.8 Ghz Ram- 2 sticks of 8 gb PSU-HEC HP Orion 400 Watt Peak Power Supply HP400DB Storage- 1tb hard drive
