Hey everyone, I am building my first pc in a fractal torrent compact, I have everything set up and it turns on and temps are normal. I have a Z790-P PRIME WiFi Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard And i cant find where to plug in this last cord that starts at the top of the case. Its not apart of the psu. It came attached to the case and it attaches to a metal plate on the top of the case where the psu compartment is. To me it looks like a grounding cord but i dont know where it plugs into on the motherboard. Any thoughts? (I attached an image of the plug and where it starts at the top of the case)

Budget (including currency): 1000$ Country: Serbia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: No advanced program, just fifa, lol, some story mode games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Tommorow, already got monitor. I'm trying to build a pc that I'm going to buy my brother tommorow so I want to know wether I chose right GPU and CPU: Gpu: since I'm limited to two manufacturers either XFX 6700 Speedster Swift 10gb or PowerColor Fighter 6700 10gb both are around 345$ CPU: R7 7700 = 415$ I've done quite a research and tbh these two seemed to be the best value for price, maybe I can go with sapphire 6700xt which is 410$.

Budget (including currency): R25 000 (+- $1300USD) Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Audio-Visual programs: Audio production software suchPro-Tools,reaper and such. Adobe related software like photoshop and after effects. Emulation and Virtual Machine software for various platform usabilities and lastly, Running demanding games with average to above average tier capabilities. My naivety towards the particulars of tech has grown exponentially over the years. Ive I've reached out here and there to try and gather my knowledge on what the various terms of certain components are, what they mean and how it can be relevant to a build I'm planning on very soon. I want to try and gather enough info to gain the confidence in my idea to build it myself! Based on how much I can learn and understand of course. The specifics of this build has a lot of heart behind it.(Sentimental value) I'd love to hear your suggestions on what I can start to look into researching on what to look for in my build. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how I can achieve a build that serves as a entertainment/Media center, gaming capable, Work-horse of a machine! Of course, it goes without saying whether or not my budget would accommodate such a build. Thanks for reading!

Budget (including currency): 1000€ Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: F1 2023,cod mw2,hell let loose, starfield, rocket league, warzone.I might try more AAA games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have a case, coolers and cpu cooler.I dont need pheripherals and i have a 1080p monitor. The parts im considering buying are: -CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 (150€) .The 5 5600x is 178€ and dont think its worth the price difference. The 7 5700x for ex would be 200€ so im hoping the 5600 will suffice and wont bottleneck.I looked at benchmarks and the 5600x is almost the same as the non x version -GPU: Radeon Rx 6800 (430€) if it will fit in my budget, otherwise thinking about the 6700xt at 360€ -RAM: Corsair Vengance LPX 32GB 3200Mhz 16Cl dual channel (75€) -MBO: Asus prime B550M-A (100€) mATX (my case isnt too big) -PSU: Seasonic G12 GC-650,80+ gold 650w (79€) !! I am thinking about buying a 1440p 165hz monitor to replace my 1080p one and i do want do play at that resolution most of the intensive games at 60fps minimum.Otherwise i will downscale resolution to 1080p!! It comes out at a total of 834 euros.Any guidance or feedback is much appreciated! Thank you for you help!

Budget (including currency): ~4000€ Country: Spain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello I've made a couple posts about this PC already and rn I'm just fine-tuning the list. I decided to swap the RTX 4080 for a RX 7900 XTX for budget and performance reasons. (This build will have one [60/75Hz idk] 1080p monitor and one 144Hz 4K monitor.) Couple questions: is i7-13700K too much for RX 7900 XTX? Is an 850W PSU enough for the estimated 760W draw? Anything y'all would change/are concerned about in this build? Basically feedback like "yay" or "nay" PCPartPicker: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/7J9scH

I've just finished saving for a pc( I've got around 2600$ USD for a pc with a monitor), but intel's 14th gen and AMD's 8th or 9th gen is going to come out in a few months, so I dont really know anymore if I should wait with my money or just buy it now, what do I do? My current specs are: i5 9600k asrock z370 pro4 8gb 2666mhz 2tb lexar nm620 ssd GTX 1060 3gb(in 2018 I thought that'd be enough for long years) spc fortis 3 That PC really needs an upgrade, should I do it now or just wait these few months?

Hello fellow tech enthusiasts! I recently embarked on a journey to build my dream computer, investing a significant amount of time and effort into creating a high-performance system that meets my needs. After careful consideration and research, I believe I've put together a pretty solid PC assembly. However, I would greatly appreciate your valuable input and expertise to ensure that everything is as optimized as possible. Before I share the details of my build, I want to emphasize that my primary goal is to achieve the best possible performance and compatibility among the components. I understand that personal preferences and budgets may vary, but I'm specifically looking for advice on fine-tuning this particular setup. Here's the link to my PC build on PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4BCysL To give you a quick overview, here are the key components I've chosen: Processor: Intel Core i7-13700K Processor cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 420 A-RGB Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X 24G OC Motherboard: MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI Memory: Kingston FURY 64GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL40 Beast XMP Storage: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB Power Supply: MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 Case: Cooler Master HAF 700 + 2x SickleFlow 120mm PWM ARGB Fan Are there any alternative options that you would consider for better performance? Additionally, I'm open to suggestions regarding any other aspects of the build, such as cooling solutions or peripherals. I want to make sure that every component works perfectly together to create an optimal computing experience. Thank you all in advance for your valuable input and guidance!

Budget (including currency): $4000CAD (Will spend more if needed) Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Only games, open world like elden ring or hogwarts legacy and esports like rocket league and valorant. So all sorts of games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have 2 builds I made myself featuring a 4090 and 7900xtx respectively. 4090 build (4500CAD): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/T2rpqm Spending a bit more on this build then my budget says for looks. 7900xtx build (3500cad, current fav build): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/CzGVsL . Peripherals are not needed, I'll spend about $1000CAD on peripherals, I have a seperate budget for that. Upgrading from: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/ygpWVw I want to use the nvme in the new build, everything else I'll either sell or keep in the pc. Im looking to buy near the end of 2023, if i can sooner I will but end of 2023 is more realistic. I'll also wait longer for ryzen 8000 and radeon 8000 and rtx 5000 if it's worth it. I want to play at 4k but will go down to 1440p if needed. 4k 144hz monitor is what I was thinking of though, i have a 240hz 1080p monitor for esports titles already. If you need more info, please ask. Not sure if I gave enough info as is
