A few weeks ago my computer has started to randomly crash. with the error codes I got it was either faulty RAM or a driver issue. I removed some of my RAM and it worked for a little while but now my computer is acting up again. I did several clean wipes and even booted from my thumb-drive to reinstall windows 10 times. I used driver booster to reinstall all drivers and nothing seems to work. Just today while working I got the error "IRQL not less or equal" but Ive also gotten "System thread exception not handled" and "Store exception Error", honestly I can go on. Right now I have three sticks of RAM instead of four and I am thinking of just putting the one I took out back in as it made no affect. I am at my wits end. Geek Squad gave me a quote of over $200 due to "Licensing" which sounds like BS but honestly I might have to give in as the crashes I feel are becoming to frequent. I have discord if anyone has advice as I dont check forums often. discord - neondroid

Installed new set of RAM (G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 Cl16 2x16Gb) and have enabled XMP profile on my mobo/bios, then checked task manager and its still running at 2133. Not sure if task manager is a valid way to check speed and if I'm even setting my Ram speeds correctly, but id like to use it to its specified capabilities. RAM is installed in slots 1 and 3, not sure if that's any use. Lemme know if I'm being dumb or if you've got any fix to this please, in need of assistance! Thanks heaps! Hi, I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to post this, if I am not supposed to post this here I apologize in advance. So, my pc was crashing after I accidentally installed ai suite 3 ( I did not know what it was after realizing what it does I immediately uninstalled it ) after that I started experiencing crashes and I tried to reset the bios manually by removing the cell in the motherboard. after a long chain of conversation with the company we found out something was wrong with the cpu ( i9-14900k ) they made me underclock the cpu by going to bios>AI tweaker>Performance core ratio and changing that to by core usage> and changing the values to 55, Doing this somehow fixed all my issues. I am just wondering is this a common issue with the i9-14900k and how does this affect me, will I not be able to get the full output of the cpu? Thank you in advance for any info you can give me. I apologize again just in case this is not the appropriate place to post this and ask questions.

Okay so my computer sometimes boots up slower so I usually hit the power button and go do something for say..20 minutes and come back to sign in. Today I had family over and I turned my pc on, it worked fine this morning, but I turned it on, saw the case led fans turn blue and spin like they normally do. I don't know how long I was gone for, maybe over 30 minutes to an hour? I came back, only thing that seemed to be glowing was the ram sticks. I hit the power button again, thinking it booted up wrong but no it turned on like it normally does and showed me the sign in screen right away. sign in and I'm even using it now to type, seems to be running okay. I'm just paranoid because I had an issue this last December where I made this Pc and not all the screws were loose. So I went to turn it on one day and it wasn't booting right. Had red light on one of the indicators on the MB (MSI Max Wifi b550 Tomahawk) which I believe was GPU? It's been a while. But anyways, after trial and error I got it to a tech shop nearby who looked at it and said the screws and cords were loose, so it wasn't powering it entirely. He got it fixed up and it's been fine since, although for some reason I had to reinstall Windows when I took it back home. Not too sure why since he said it booted up fine in the shop so I assumed maybe the boot up just messed with my OS. Anyways, should I have nothing to worry about? This are still displaying fine as of now and it's been about hour and a half since then and I'm still using it. I'm going to run another shut down/start up after I get off and just watch. I'm really not sure if it's just a sleep mode or anything since I'll leave it running on the log in screen and it'll be the same (no lights off or anything) when I come back to it. I don't know, am I just paranoid?

Budget (including currency): 800 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Internet browsing mostly, want it to last for 10ish years. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Ive made a parts list, no need for peripherals. Just some advice is needed. Thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MzWxQP

As described in the title, I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600 in NZXT's H1 case with the built-in 140mm AIO and PSU (detailed specs below). This has been a long-running issue, but has slowly gotten worse over time. My CPU temp stays locked at 75C+ while at idle. While running a game--for example Destiny 2 @ medium settings--it's pegged at 96C and won't cool down. Have tried a couple of different solutions (listed below) but with no success. This is my first PC I built myself, and although I'm pretty technical, I'm struggling to figure out what I could try next for solutions. Any help/suggestions are appreciated! I've attached a screencap of HWMonitor, programs currently open are Discord, Chrome, and HWMonitor. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AMD Radeon RX 5500XT ASRock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac 16GB DDR4 RAM NZXT H1 Case + 140mm AIO + 750W PSU Windows 10 v22H2, build 19045.3930 1920x1200 display Can provide additional details if necessary Attempted solutions: Adjusting fan curve Cleaning dust filters Removing top/sides of case Unscrewing AIO+Fan and letting run outside case Tightening screws on CPU block Replacing thermal paste on CPU Updating drivers Additional Details: Unsure if these details are related, but here they are just in case. 1. I get a lot of instability, PC crashes/BSODs somewhat frequently (once every couple weeks or so). Many times, I will need to reinstall my graphics drivers for some reason, not sure why. Again, could be unrelated. 2. Was subject to a lot of power cuts ~1 year ago, over the summer running a portable AC on the same circuit would trip the breaker in the apartment, causing immediate shutdown.

Hello LTT community, I just woke up and am about to choose violence. Ok, joking aside. I have a RX 6700 XT that was working flawless as of yesterday morning. I downloaded the most recent update from AMD's website. As soon as the program finished I rebooted. Everything went as expected, nothing wrong (so far). I watched a few YouTube videos and then headed over to Facebook. Then I heard a click (like the one my power strip makes when I turn on my computer) my TV just cut off. I glance over and my HDD light was still blinking, fans still spinning, Mobo light still on. My first reaction was my GPU just died. My trouble shooting begins here... I reset my PC the BIOS dots start spinning and the second the OS starts the screen turns off. I was able to get into recovery mode. I used a recovery save I had, and it worked. However no GPU driver is installed. Only the Microsoft driver seems to work. I tried to go back to the previous driver I had used but it to has failed. At this point I had given up. I am currently using my GTX 1060 3GB, glad I kept it. Does anyone have a similar issue with the RX 6700 XT? My PC specs: Windows 11 23H2 AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AMD RX 6700 XT (GTX 1060 3GB as backup) Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 3 (Using the latest BIOS) 650w PSU 4TB SSD SATA

Hi all, I a m planning to build a new PC for gaming/work in a server chassis to put it as far away as possible from my office. For that, I am planning to buy motherboard with Thunderbolt3 support and displayport passthrough capability. I will connect my PC to a Thunderbolt 4 dock with a Corning Thunderbolt 3 optical cable. I haven't really decided what specific mobo or TB4 dock I will use, but I have a general question: can you game normally on a setup like that (PC->Dock) just like you would on a regular gaming PC in front of you or you would get performance deterioration? Lets say I will use something like RTX 4070 Ti and I would pair it with one 2k 144Hz monitor. So will Thunderbolt connection ruin my gaming experience or will it be just fine and I wouldn't notice any lags/stutters/etc.? P.S. Will my PC be able to wake up from sleep mode in this configuration if I tried to wake it up using peripherals connected to the dock? Thanks in advance

For the people that don't want to read a whole paragraph: I'm looking for recommendations on pci-e WiFi adapters! Thanks. Hello! I've been having constant issues with WiFi on my build. The issue has carried across multiple windows installs and multiple networks/routers. My last solution was a usb WiFi adapter but it drops the connection (or so it seems) every minute or two. Windows shows it is still connected to the network but no traffic seems to move. Downloads will fail, websites won't load, games disconnect and constant ping tests fail until about 30 seconds later when everything works like normal again. I resorted to sharing the WiFi from my phone over usb hotspot which works perfectly but isn't ideal. My next idea is to try a pci-e WiFi adapter and see how that goes so I am asking for any recommendations on those as there are so many out there. I should also add no my mobo doesn't have WiFi built in and yes ethernet would be amazing but I won't be able to run a cable through the ceiling until probably next year so that's out of the question for now. If you did read this far, fair play to you and thank you in advance for any suggestions Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Gigabyte RTX 4060 16GB Corsair Vengeance 800W PSU

I've been having problems with my PC recently. Disk randomly uses 100% of its capacity with no apparent reason, or even freezes. Already did what every page tells you to do (DISM check, chkdsk, scanning for viruses, performing clean boots, increasing virtual memory, etc.), and nothing whatsoever has changed. I have also updated drivers. The SSD i'm using (ACER SATA 2.5" SA100, 500gb) is new. I'm extremely baffled with this problem. Here are my specs: Geforce RTX 2070 Ventus OC Ryzen 7 2700x 4.35ghz 2x Memory Adata 8gb 3000mhz (xpg) Asus Prime B450M-A

I just got my pc setup and when I click sign in it instantly closes the sign in window when it appears. I've tried multiple things and none of them work. When I open the app the first time after reinstalling it or resetting it, it works fine other than the sign in issue, but the next time I open, it gets stuck on the launching screen. I'm running on windows 11. Some of the parts are a little dated.

So I've when I built this PC it worked for an entire year without any issues: i7-10700k 2x16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 MSI Z490 Gaming Edge Wifi RTX 2060 One day the RAM suddenly broke, both sticks. Randomly had bluescreens, pc crashed, memtest86 failed (individually for each stick too), etc.. I tried my broken RAM sticks in my friends pc and he instantly had bluescreens, crashes and all the issues too. I tried his RAM in my PC and it worked fine. He has 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX LP DDR4-3200. So i refunded the RAM and got brandnew 32GB Trident Z's. They instantly broke again. Same testing as before, doesnt work in friends pc either once again. I figured it has to be a mainboard issue then, so i replaced my MSI Z490 Gaming Edge Wifi with a MSI Z590 Gaming Edge Wifi. I refunded the RAM once again, got new ones and they broke once again. Now i replaced the PSU from a 600 Watt beQuiet with a 850 Watt beQuiet, refunded the RAM once again and it broke again. Im bought the same RAM my friend has for now, since they seem to work in my PC for whatever reason. I have no clue what could be the issue at this point but i want to have 32 GB of RAM back. Do you think I can get 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance without them breaking? I hope someone can help me.
