Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with mindfactory as I'm building my first PC and have no experience ordering parts from there. Any experiences with them, good or bad, would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm building a pc for the first time, and I've been using PC Part Picker to check for issues/incompatibility. But I'd like the compatibility to be checked from experienced pc builders before I buy or do anything because I'm afraid that the website or I may have overlooked something. PC PART PICKER LINK: 2016 White Build Or if you'd rather see the parts listed (along with Amazon links for your convenience): CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Enermax ETS-T40F-W 105.9 CFM Cooler Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe ATX Full Tower Case (Comes with: 1 x 200mm fan in front, 1x 140mm fan up top, and 1 x 140mm fan in the rear) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard Mouse: Corsair Scimitar RGB Wired Optical Mouse NOTE: The following parts are not included on PC Part Picker but these will also be included in the build. I've done research on how to choose a psu, but I became confused and randomly chose the cheapest one from a list on the website. I think it may be important to add that I would prefer a fully modular psu. I would like to get custom cables, so it would be very helpful to me if you could list which cables I would need to purchase as well. I used the Cooler Master Power Supply Calculator and here are my results: Load Wattage: 375 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 425 W Also, just in case you wanted another source's estimate... PC PART PICKER Estimated Load Wattage: 392 Any advice or recommendations is very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to help me out!

Hello all! my buddy is looking at spending around $800 us on building himself a new computer for editing and gaming. He already has a few parts (ram, ssd, hdd, motherboard. He currently has a lga 1150 board (Gigabyte - GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard) I'm not sure what the best CPU for this model will be. I think we can build him a damn good pc for this price but I don't know whether to go i5,i7, or even Xeon (had no idea this was even an option on this board but apparently it is!?). any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

So I recently bought a GTX 1050 ti Sc but, I soon found out that it doesn't work on my pre built Lenovo H50-50. So now I'm not sure if I should make an entirely new computer or sell the card my friend offered it to me for $80 but I bought it for $150 and I haven't even used the card so it might be too little. Anyways, I was thinking that I could use my current 1 tb hard drive (If I format it can I still use windows?) and 8 gb of ram. Also, I'm not sure if I could re use my Intel core i3 but if not I'm fine with getting a new one too if I can't transfer a processor. Anyways, my question is what other parts should I get other than the hard drive, ram, monitor, and graphics card for a new gaming computer. (Preferably new parts under $500) Thank you! (By the way this is my first time fully putting together a computer.)

Hello everyone Im new with buying/searching for gaming pc. I'm planning on buying a gaming pc on black friday from iBuyPower and i just want to know if the computer I'm built would run into any problems Operating System :: Windows 10 Home - (64-bit) Case :: iBUYPOWER Revolt 2 Gaming Case Case Lighting :: Revolt 2 RGB Case Lighting (Included) Processor :: Intel® Core™ i7-7700K Processor (4x 4.20GHz/8MB L3 Cache) - Intel® Core™ i7-7700K w/ Intel Performance Tuning Protection iBUYPOWER PowerDrive :: PowerDrive Level 1 - Up to 10% Overclocking Processor Cooling :: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid CPU Cooler Standard 120mm Fan [Revolt] Memory :: 16 GB [8 GB X2] DDR4-3000 Memory Module - Certified Major Brand Gaming Memory Video Card :: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 - 6GB - EVGA Superclocked (VR-Ready) Motherboard :: ASRock Z270M-ITX/AC -- 1x PCIe x16, 6x USB 3.1, 2x USB 2.0, 1x M.2, WiFi Included[Intel Optane Ready] Power Supply :: 750 Watt - Corsair CX750M - 80 PLUS Bronze, Full Modular Primary Hard Drive :: 240 GB WD Green SSD -- Read: 540MB/s, Write: 465MB/s - Single Drive Data Hard Drive :: 1 TB Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive -- 64MB Cache, 7200RPM, 6.0Gb/sSingle Drive Sound Card :: 3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard I recently watch linus video about power supply and he was stressing that you need to correct one or you may run into problems. I want anyone who is an expert on computers to pin point anything from the list that may cause a problem with the other things. Another thing regarding monitors, Im looking for 144hz monitors that has 1-2 ms response time and the one I'm primarily looking at is the 24" [1920x1080] ASUS VG248QE LED 3D Monitor -- 1ms response time + 144Hz refresh rate And i see another monitor and its 125 dollars cheaper and its the 24" [1920x1080] MSI Optix G24C Curved Monitor -- AMD FreeSync + 144Hz refresh rate Now here this the thing that is making me iffy about this one, I'm using an Nvidia graphics card on a monitor that focus on AMD. Is that safe? And i do not know the MS response time. is the first monitor i listed a safer choice? Remember I'm new with buying gaming pc and all that. I'm sick tired of using this crappy 2008 mac computer.

I'm making a budget build and specifically with the CPU I want to get (the new Kaby Lake pentium G4560) I've noticed them going out of stock within a day and then sellers are marking them up to more then the G4600?! Why? It's a pain for someone like me who has a very limited budget and cant spend 30 extra dollars on a 60 dollar CPU. Is the Supply and demand actually that high? Why is this happening all the time?

Hey there! I was rummaging around my attic and found some old PCs my family had stored there. I'm not too knowledgeable but I was wondering if someone with more expertise would be able to help me appraise them and see if there is anything worth Salvaging. There are three systems and they're pretty old so I don't expect to be able to salvage much out of them. After a quick glance, what I could see might be potentially worth saving are some HDDs, and maaaybe an i3? Could someone help me figure out what's worth saving and some potential uses for the salvaged pieces? System 1: Dell OptiPlex 790 Windows 7 Pro OA Intel core i3 500GB HDD Western Digital (pictured) System 2: Dell XPS 420 Windows Vista Intel core 2 Duo x2 Western Digital 320GB HDD There was a 3rd pc but I just grabbed the HDD out of that, it was the oldest of the three and didn't look promising but i'll attach a picture. Also found an old Nvidia GPU (can't tell what model, picture attached) TLDR: Found some old PCs, wondering if any of the parts are worth saving/selling? Need help appraising. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, I'm excited to learn something from you guys about this. Regarding possible reuses, any suggestions are welcome! If we do figure out what I can save, I can then separate/repurpose those, but i'm wondering how best to dispose of the left over scrap? Cheers! - Maze

Hello, So recently I starting thinking about replacing some parts in my computer. I'm personally not that familiar with pc biding and pc parts so I hoped to find some help here. Current I got a GTX 1050 with an AMD 6300 6 core proccessor but I can't decide quite which of these to replace for some better equipment. For a new GPU I was thinking of a RTX 2060, although for a new proccessor I don't know quite what would be best to get without spending a lot of money, around 400-500 max. Hope anyone can help here find me some good value replacements that can improve mostly fps during gaming Thanks either way

Hey guys, I'm looking to start a Gaming Cafe in Tamil Nadu, India. What would be a good spec configuration for about 15-20 PCs that I wanna have there (including peripherals if possible). I'm willing to spend around 50,000 Indian Rupees per PC however this number is quite flexible so feel free to play around with it. Suggestions for other aspects of a cafe are also welcome. Cheers!

Hi guys, So I just wanted to ask what you guys think of the pricing of some parts I can get here in Fiji. All currencies in the pictures are Fijian Dollars. The rate is 1FJD = 0.47USD (Rough estimate) So in the image of the MSI GTX Armor 1070 OC edition it's roughly 630USD. Is that price worth it? Would it be alright getting some of these parts here or am I better off buying it online? I know there's shipping and taxes too but if there's anyone here who is in a country without much tech and has either the option to buy locally or online, what do you recommend?

I'm working on making a computer for my friend who has honestly done way too much for me than I could be thankful for. However, I digress. I need a set of optimized parts in which can get value per dollar. However, I'm not looking for a tight budget; I have some liberty when it comes to price. I mainly want to make a good gaming pc that can play games such as: -Minecraft (moderate/heavy mods and some shaders) -Fps games (Apex, etc) I also want these games to be able to play at moderate and maybe high settings at a base of 75fps. I also am looking for a pc that can host servers (mainly minecraft), and can run games while having discord and other applications open For this, I thought that higher speed ram at 16gb with a "tanky" graphics card and 3rd gen ryzen. Check it out: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/G_Fuel/saved/mNGp8d Any adjustments I need to make? I'm honestly wasn't 100% sure with the graphics card, as I want great power, and my rtx 2080 super is treating me amazingly. I also have a slight bias towards Rog products, although I'm open to objection. I need help soon, as I wanna get these pieces around cyber monday for some possible good deals. Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys, I'm new here and new to pc building as well. I've been meaning to build my own pc but I lack the resources to do so. Just recently I found my aunt's pc when she told me to clean up her attic and she agreed that I could have her old pc. I don't know if this pc is good for gaming or it's even good at all because it's a very old pc. It still has the sticker from the store my aunt bought it from way back in 2009. It has a core 2 Duo E7400 with no graphics card in an ASUS P5SD2-VM motherboard, 80GB of HDD and 1gb of ddr2 kingston ram. Is this pc worth upgrading? If so what upgrades should I be considering since I want to game on this pc. I'm still a student so my budget is very limited if I were to upgrade. I haven't played games on it because I don't have a longer Ethernet cable because I'm in a dormitory and we only have wifi available. What do you guys think? Your feedback is very much appreciated
