so i just recently got a prebuilt PC from a reputable company. .I love the computer and it runs all the game i want very well. This is the first PC ive had since 2016. So im very out of sync now, as opposed to 8 years ago lol. Im using an intel i3 13100f..a gigabyte B760 MB..16gb of ram, and an rtx 3050.. so my question is one i know alot of people probably bring up, and ive read alot of forums and feel like i know whats going to be said when i ask this..but this PC was a large investment..and i want to take the best care as i can of it.. and btw my cpu cooler is stock, but at some point ill move to a liquid cooler, but it wont be for a few months, maybe less. SO under load, load being when download updates for games/playing specific games..ive noticed the cpu getting to 80c, or a bit under 80c. Normally its anywhere from 32C , like right now im looking at it and its 32c, with nothing going on beside google..with certain games itll b around 50-65c..i was just installing an 18gb update for this game..and it shot up to around 75c...this MB came with gigabyte control center installed so i can see fan curves, temps, memory info, overclocking stuff, etc...so the fan curves were automatically set up to run the fans at X speed when the cpu is at X temp...so the hotter it gets, the faster they spin..but im concerned becasue the fans go up and down sometimes pretty quickly to keep the temp at reasonable levels..and im concerned the the fans going up and down that the fans will wear out or soemthing. im NOT a tech guy, i love computers and hardware but im not very educated in all the specifics and etc..so please keep that in mind lol. So is it ok for the fans to jump around, speed wise? am i being paranoid?

Good evening LTT It has been quiet around me for a long time now, but there are new ideas and plans to supply the scene of cultivated modding with new content. You know there is a new Call of Duty in the starting blocks and that is Modern Warfare 3. The series will be continued and from what I have seen everything will be a little different than before, including my career the last few months. I left my team to reinvent myself and to go new ways in terms of "content creation", as well as to be able to develop a bit and to plan my way as I want to entertain the readers and also the small but very nice community I have. To put it briefly, back to the roots and realise clean worklogs and unique projects again. But enough from me now to the actual topic. Now I'm 32, it's been some time since I actively played eSports.... But it all started back then with CoD 4 Prestige 10 and some hours of game time were on the account then. Towards the end I came by chance to a German clan called Modern Primitives from then on it really started EU far place 1 later then also in the MLG (Game Battles) far in front with it.... Ahhhh those were good times but unfortunately too early to become a pro because it was not as big as it is now. The story would go on but then my intro is getting too long so if you want me to reminisce a bit more let me know. That's why I had the idea to realise a project for the release that has accompanied me for a long time - a CoD tribute mod. There was actually a different concept that looked like this: Here, everything should actually sit on a 540mm radi and also be cooled by it. The mainboard sits in the box and the GPU as you can see outside, because unfortunately there is no room for a dual or triple fan GPU in the box. The power supply sits in the back to distribute the weight a little. An Alphacool Rise Flat Reservoir with D5 pump was planned as the AGP pump combo. But things always turn out a little different than expected, due to leaving the team I wanted to take a break until 2024, but a friend of mine said come on and do something for the release of CoD MW3. That's why I came up with this almost new idea: Now everything finds its place in and on the ammunition box. The whole thing is cooled by a Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora Solo and a 55mm 140mm Nexxos. The GPU unfortunately doesn't have room inside as it will be an Intel Arc A770 16GB that I'm currently using. Unfortunately I can't find a 4060 single fan GPU, so there would be room for one inside. The interior is designed in such a way that it sticks to the box with strong magnets, so it is also possible to place everything inside in a second moment. The power supply will be a Seasonic Focus SGX-750, this thing is so small it's amazing how much technology fits into so little space. The progress is already a bit further, but I didn't know if I should write the worklog before or after the release, but it makes more sense to document the progress bit by bit, so stay tuned, an update will follow soon. Until then, have a nice rest of the week. @Admin if the links are not allowed I will delete them.

Budget (including currency): 300/350€ Country: Austria but can purchase from Germany, France and Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Baldur’s gate 3, general gaming and ideally streaming. Other details : Got this computer as a gift from a family member and as I don’t have a lot of budget I’d like to focus on upgrading it to be usable rather than purchasing a whole new build Here is what it contains so far : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vBMJmD Needs : A graphics card, an SSD and probably a new power power supply that would all be usable for a new build down the line when I have money to buy other components. Thanks a lot for any advice you can give !

Budget (including currency): £1800 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Call of Duty MWIII (and future releases) and Apex are two MP games I play a lot. Plan on playing new games that come out that are AAA/AA both SP and MP. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Playing 1440p and at above 120hz would be ideal. I took influence from other posts here but would appreciate additional checks particulary the Mobo and GPU brand manufacturers as there are so many to pick from and they seem to vary in quality. Is the MSI MAG Tomahawk B650 a problem free mobo to use with the parts I intent to buy and is the GPU AIB I am going for a worthy one to pick over others? I have read the Noctua D15 is expensive for what it offers but from the charts I saw it performs better slightly. Is it worth having it if I have the budget for one? Budget (including currency): £1300 if I can have it lower I wouldn't mind that at all Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: new AAA games, I play a few BRs like Apex Legends, Warzone. Light photo editing (not really a concern as I have very basic needs) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): CASE: My friend is offering me their old Phanteks Ethnoo Pro Link to Ethnoo Pro so I can use that instead of buying a new case. However I am opened to suggestions if a new case would be a better option than what I am being given. Monitor: I'll also be buying a monitor second hand from someone I know. It will be 144hz. Peripherals: Not required I'm looking to buy parts now due to the current sales. I'm swaying towards a AMD/AMD build due to both cost and lower power usage. I am open to Nvidia GPUs but it doesn't seem like there is one that offers what the 7800xt is capable of unless you pay a significant amount more for the 4070ti which uses a lot more power. Having thought about it more I think I would prefer to keep to AMD as the 4070 despite being lower power usage, the 7800xt looks like it would have more longevity. Would like to play in 1440p but being honest I am quite happy with 1080p based on experiences at friends and playing on console right now at 1080p. Refresh rate would like to play higher than 60hz so something up to 144hz would be nice. CPU: I've been looking at either AMD 7600 non X or the 7800x3d. From what I understand they both have around the same power usage when running games, idle or other software but the x3d offers a noticeable leap in performance. GPU: The PowerColor Hellhound 7800xt is the card I am considering as from what I have read it runs much cooler than the other GPU suppliers. However I am open to suggestions as I would like to pick a supplier that is reliable. Motherboard: I'm struggling to decide which board to pick as there was quite a lot of issues with mobos specifically with the 7800x3d. Is there a safe mobo to pick? From looking at videos online the problems looked to have been common on ASUS and Gigabyte. I've gone through different threads but i am finding it difficult to filter out anecdotal reviews from individuals having issues themselves or if it is a board issue. RAM: Would Corsair ram be a wise suggestion? There's currently CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36 AMD EXPO iCUE Compatible Computer Memory on sale. I had a look a Linus's video on lower CL differences so would it be a wiser choice to go for something that is CL32? and something that is 6400mhz if the mobo can candle that? Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive & Western Digital Black SN770 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler Am I correct in believing this offers better peformance than the Peerless Assassin and Noctua fans? PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not familiar with all the different brands, I would prefer to pick brands that are known to be reliable if that is a thing. If anymore information is required I am more than happy to provide it. Thanks for the time and help.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Faulty motherboard in existing build so using as excuse to do a light upgrade. Already Have: Vetroo V5 cpu cooler, gtx 950, micro atx thermal take case. Just need some opinions on if this build is good or not haha. Buying cpu for $135 second hand And buying gpu later on second hand. The prices arent accurate so thats why over budget

So I ordered myself a new CyberPowerPC (nothing super high end) for some casual gaming and for the most part, its been fine other than the INSAINE packet loss ive been getting since day one. What is odd about my case, is that ill have unplayable lag for a time, but on some "good days" Ill have very little noticeable packetloss. I essentially have to pray that my computer will let me play for that day without sending my ingame character 15 feet backwards every 3 seconds. This Packetloss doesn't just occur while in games, but using discord for instance, sending messages will take a significant amount of time one moment but will be quick and snappy some other times. I also don't think its based off of how many people are using the network, as the Packetloss seems to be entirely random. Also another thing to note is that my old Intel computer never had this sort of issue. Weird. I went in and used Ping Plotter, and of course see red bars to almost every IP Address. Im not quite sure what to make of it, other than there is packet loss.. Ill provide a screenshot below (Not sure of the IP addresses should be shown to the public, but if they are ill list them off.) VVV These bars are always changing, sometimes theres only one bar, sometimes theres other addresses with PL and sometimes like this its absolute mayhem. VVV

hello im a noob and I'm building my first pc and was wondering if a ryzen 7 7800x3d + 4060 ti combo would be bad for competitive gaming. I mainly play CSGO and Valorant which are more cpu based and occasionally gpu based games but not often. if that combo is bad what would be the best combo for a cpu based game like csgo and valorant that would get me good fps!!! NOTE- MY BUDGET IS AROUND 1300-1400 MAYBE A LITTLE MORE??? this is pretty much the build I had in mind (tell me if I should change anything help is wanted!!!) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bbpfdH

Hey guys and gals, I need a new PSU for my computer. I need one that can power the following - RTX 4090 Strix 13th Gen CPU Motherboard of course (Asus Brand) 1 hard drive (3tb) (I bought this in 2016) 2 SSD's (from 2016) I have two M.2 cards connected to the motherboard as well, dont think that matters though. The power supply that I am using now is a NZXT HALE90 (link is here) https://www.newegg.com/nzxt-hale90-v2-np-1gm-1200a-1200w/p/N82E16817116022?Item=N82E16817116022&cm_mmc=SNC-Facebook-_-SS-_-facebookdeals-_-NA If you look at that link closely, you can see a bunch of 'peripheral' plug-in spots. I CANNOT find a PSU with these, which is what my 3TB Hard Drive plugs into, as well as my SSD's. I question myself with, "Am I missing something?" "Can my HDD and SDD use different cables that I am not aware of?" "Are there PSU's that don't have 'peripheral' plugs but still are able to connect to my HDD and SDD's?" Why do I need a new power supply if it's powering everything already? Because it's old, the fan doesn't spin and my PC crashes whenever I play any games that need the power. Something is wrong with it and I just want a new one. Got it in 2016. Please, if you can help, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'd like one that is 1000w-1200w if possible! Feel free to ask questions, I'll bookmark this page and check back often.

1. Budget & Location I’m not fully sure on my budget but I can spend a decent amount of money on a GPU. I am not willing to spend over £1,000 but I can go for between £400 to maybe £700 and £800 would be pushing my limits. I have done research myself but I’m tore between too many cards and need help picking. Currently have £380 saved but I can also wait some time to save more for a better GPU. I am from the UK and use GBP (Pound Sterling) 2. Aim My computer will be mainly used for Gaming however I do sometimes use it for video editing and photo editing. Games that I am currently playing is Valorant, Overwatch, Genshin, Star rail, Cyberpunk, MW2 (2022). I really like story games to perform with the best quality without worrying about fps drops and stutters. But I also like fps performance in competitive games. 3. Monitors I currently use 2 monitors and they are both 1920x1080 4. Peripherals I don’t need any peripherals or OS system. 5. Why are you upgrading? My motherboard ram slot pretty much broke and I wanted to recently buy new parts so this gave me a reason to buy a new pc fully. 6. Main parts I ordered My current GPU is 1080Ti 11GB (replacing this) MSI Z790 Gaming Pro Wifi ATX Motherboard Intel Core i9-12900K, 8C+8c/24T, 3.20-5.20GHz Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX 850 Watt Power Supply CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 5600MHz CL36 I have a cooler and case + fans I don’t know the name of them Any help will be appreciated!

I've built a PC for the first time, but it keeps crashing, rarely but it happens.(Like twice in a day) And this does not happen while gaming too, for example when i closed the Steam tab yesterday computer lagged and crashed and restarded. But when it restarts after crashing it doesnt display anything on the monitor so i have to turn it off again by it's power off button and open it again. I thought this might be because of some drivers in my computer, i have a lot of old date and broken drivers on my PC for some reason (at least i think so). I have updated my graphics card and chipset driver like a week ago. I did not use any driver softwares i found my drivers manually but there are some i couldnt find or simply doesnt look installed when they are. (None of these drivers have a triangle on them in the Device Manager) I'd be happy if someone could tell me how to download these drivers (I'll post their ID and stuff below) and what other fixes you might have for my computer. Budget (including currency): 1,00,000 INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly for architectural softwares like Autocad, Sketchup, V-ray, Lumion Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Keybaord mice etc not included in the build. For the monitor i was thinking of 2k 32 inches refresh rate does not matter as its not for gaming. would like this included in the budget but can stretch the budget a bit if required what i have read is that autocad and sketchup are more focused on single core performance i could be wrong but i was thinking of a cpu with higher base clock than getting one with higher cores GPU is also fairly important as rendering projects in vray or lumion can take quite some time on lower end cpu/gpu's appreciate any suggestions

Hi there, I have an old (7 years) ASUS ROG G752VY-GC087T (Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz (4 core), 32GB 2133MHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M) laptop and looking for an upgrade from that. Looking for recommendations for a daily driver replacement which is a little bit lighter than this beast. It does not need to be the very top of the line machine, but occasionally I do play games, not the newest titles and not keen to run everything maxed out, but would be nice to have the option to run something newer smoothly. The rest of the load is daily work (coding, databases, VMs) and some CAD work (moderate models mostly for 3D printing). Battery life is not the highest priority (running mostly as a desktop replacement), but when needed (travel for work, visiting family, etc) some juice is welcome. For the display 17" is not a must, actually, I am happy to go a bit smaller, but not lower than 15". I would appreciate a full keyboard with numpad (or at least close to it) with easily accessible HOME, END, DELETE keys. This seems to be a bit much to ask under 17", but if the layout is actually sensible I can live without the numpad as long as half of the keys (home, end, delete, etc) are not hidden under combos. I don't plan to replace it in the next 5 years (give or take) and so would appreciate upgradability (RAM and HDD). I prefer ASUS, so until now, I was looking at the Zephyrus G16 and M16 series, maybe a Flow X16 with a 4070 (would this be an overkill? :)), just not really sure in what config. Honestly, I did not really follow the HW trends in the last few years and I feel a bit lost. Also it would be nice if the thermals are not the worst in the world. I also took a look at the Framework laptops, but unfortunately they don't ship to my country. Any recommendations are welcome. I am from Europe (if this makes a difference) and have a budget around 2500-3000EUR. I can go a bit above if the extra is justified. Thanks for any response in advance!
