I just got a G502 about a month ago and last Friday it seems to have broken the free scroll. The free scroll either stops immediatly after starting it or it runs for a little bit maybe 1 - 4 seconds for a decent spin. When i free spin it it makes an odd noise likes its catching the case or something and it seems to be bouncing quite alot. It works perfectly fine in regular scrolling. Any solutions?

OS: Windows 11 Home 64 (specific update unavailable) Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC AM4 CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 GPU: MSI - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card (Driver: 496.76) Boot: WD Blue SATA SSD HDD: 1 TB WD Blue + 4TB Seagate Barracuda RAM: G.SKILL Aegis 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3000MHZ PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G1+ Computer age: Completed May 2019 with some mods such as new RAM in late 2019 and 4TB HDD addition in 2020. I read the post on how to fix a computer that is not posting. However, the specific circumstances of the issue likely warrants this post. I'm pretty much panicking because this is the week before finals at my university and my monitor, keyboard, and mouse is refusing to work though the computer does power on. I was gone for a week for Thanksgiving break with the heat on low (though the room felt like a sauna because they don't run AC to cool the temperature, I would estimate the room was about 80°F). My computer was off during this time. The odd thing is that while the mouse, keyboard, and monitor were not receiving a signal, the Blue Yeti mic was. There were no signs of anything wrong when I left. I don't understand what is going on, I read it could be a CMOS battery, or the entire motherboard died. I have not attempted any troubleshooting steps besides checking that things were plugged in to the motherboard still. I am legally blind so I'm pretty reticent to take things apart. However, any suggestions to possible problems it is would be much appreciated so I may be more informed. I will likely take this computer to a repair shop since I am legally blind so please keep that in mind. Thank you all in advance.

I'm looking for a wired mouse for my soon to be acquired laptop, and I have been loving my Logitech M720, from its free scroll wheel to the balanced number of customisable buttons. However, since I lose things a lot, I want to have a wired mouse for my laptop so it can be kept attached to my laptop. For me, the free scrolling is a must, and I would like it to be under USD$50. Any recommendations?

My Logitech G602 is seemingly out of the blue, give me a Code 43 Error. I had gone away for the day and used my G602 on my Chromebook, and came home and plugged the G602 back into my PC and it gave me the Code 43 Error. I have changed batteries, uninstalled drivers, updated drivers, unplugged the power supply for 1 minute and still haven't found a fix More info, under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" is where the mouse shows up and it is labeled as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Any Ideas on how to fix this ? Edit: plugged it into another windows 10 PC with the same error

Question, so I know I am not crazy: If you have a mouse that can do 16,000DPI, but set to only 1,600DPI, it still physically calculates 16,000DPI then later divides it by 10 right? or in other words, setting your mouse to 1,600DPI then using it would be the exact same accuracy as if you set it to its max of 16,000DPI and changed your mouse sensitivity in Windows to 10%. I know there are other factors at play, but just from a DPI stand point this is all true, right?

So I've had the same machine for well over 3 years, and just recently I decided to do a clean install of windows 10 when I upgraded from an HDD to an SSD. Everything worked out great, the clean install went smooth and the OS detected my storage drives when I reconnected them and I've had virtually zero problems. Except for I have this rage inducing issue where occasionally, my computer will respond to a keyboard or mouse click and turn itself on. I do not want this. Ever. At all. I have a cat and I don't want him randomly turning on the pc while I'm away. I want the devices to bring my system back from sleep, hibernate, and screen savers; but that is it. I've tried everything I could think of. Played with nearly every setting in device manager and my asus bios. I even uninstalled the drivers for both the mouse and the keyboard in hopes that would fix it. I check everything for an update on a daily basis: windows, asus, amd. The only thing in the Asus BIOS I saw was to "allow USB power delivery when in soft off (s5) state", and that I have disabled. I'm at a loss. The machine NEVER did that before the new install. Can anyone help? I can replicate the problem pretty consistently, and it's as frequent as every other shutdown. Sometimes I get lucky and I'll get three or maaaaaybe four cylces before it starts to act up. AMD Ryzen 3700X ASUS ROG Strix 4500-FGaming 32GB RAM GTX 1060 6GB Samsung 870 EVO SSD USB M&K

I tried making it short, but its a niche problem so its hard to make it any shorter, sorry but thanks :) Recently upgraded from a 1660 to a 3080ti. ever since I did so I've been having issues with my USB devices. what makes this problem particularly weird, is the fact that it only happens during specific actions/when I do specific things in specific programs. Usually, all my USB devices (including the internal ones like argb in my corsair fans) would start lagging like crazy, and then all disconnect only to reconnect immediately again. this was very annoying so I went into my device manager and edited the USB controller to not turn off my USB devices. this fixed my disconnection problem but the lagging kept going. Somehow over time, it's reduced itself to mostly only affecting my mouse (even though this might be the worst USB device to be affected...) Like i stated earlier, it only happens during specific processes. Specifically when i click the button in discord to start streaming my screen (and the pop-up window with screens come up - something to do with screen recording?), at the start of cod vanguard and halo´s release periods (not a problem anymore, so could just be the games?) but most frustratingly of all, the issue occurs when i launch a game that requires Ubisoft Access (game launcher) to run (sometimes also the EA app currently in beta-mode will make my mouse start lagging). I've spent hours upon hours trying to come to some sort of explanation, but I just can't seem to find any logical reason why this is happening. I remember reading a while ago how some of the 30-series cards could affect the USB controller with my current motherboard and CPU combination, but since my setup is relatively common (manufacturer-wise anyway, which this was supposed to be) I find it hard to believe it would be so hard to find information about this since it would be a more common problem (full specs below). I also can't remember why these manufacturers (Nvidia, Asus and AMD) products would affect each other and make USB devices start lagging, and I also can't seem to find the site/post that stated so. I only remember thinking the person who wrote it seemed to have pretty good knowledge regarding computers and problem-solving issues like these... If no one can help me, my next step would simply be to do a fresh reinstall of windows in case DDU uninstalled my prior graphics driver wrong, or if it's a more deeply rooted problem. That said, I have limited time on my hands at these days (legit took me about a week to find time to write this post) so when I finally have some time id prefer using it on actually playing the games instead of reinstalling them after a clean windows install... And also, yes, of cause I've looked into whether it's a USB driver issue or USB controller issue. I've also tried going in safe mode and deleting the USB controller drivers just to force windows into reinstalling a fresh version (same goes for my peripherals drivers and their individual software. Here's a video to show an example of how my mouse reacts when its "lagging": Thanks in advance to anyone who might have an idea of how or why this is happening :) Full PC specs: Ryzen 5600x GIGABYTE AORUS 3080 TI MASTER Asus ROG Strix B550 e-gaming Trident Z Neo 32GB 3600 MHz Memory NVme ssd Corsair RM850x psu (850w gold) (self-build) Perifrials: Logitech G502 Lighspeed, using Power Play mousepad. Logitech G915 Lightspeed Corsair Virtuoso xt Blue Snowball Scuf PS4 controller Internal USB devices that can be affected: 9x Corsair ARGB fans (LEDs only, the fan itself keeps running since its connected through molex) the LCD display on my NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm AIO (which has a separate connection through USB for those who are unaware)

So... recentely I've got a Logitech G305 mouse and upon searching on the web these mice have issues with either signal or double clicking. I am just wandering how reliable are these mice really? Will they last just one year or they are an investment that you can carry with your PC over to the next platform? Does anyone have any idea or experience with them?

So recently I just upgraded my windows 10 to 11, but when I play a game in this case it was Battlefield 1.. My keyboard and mouse start to get unresponsive.. Sometimes when I sprint it just stopped, so I have to press the 'W' key again to move.. or when I ADS my weapon it just trying to un-ADS and ADS again constantly.. It really annoying.. But I don't think this issue is not there when I'm not playing game.. I suspect this was a faulty driver..?

So I made a fresh build and the components consist of: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, RTX 3070 EVGA, 16gb ram corsair vengeance pro 3200 Mghz, x570 Aorus elite pro motherboard, 750 watt corsair psu gold rated, 1tb ssd Samsung EVO 860 4tb Seagate hdd. I think thats it and my old pc was a pre-built from BestBuy. It had a i5-9600F, 8gb ram(single stick), gtx 1660, 500 watt, 1224 tb(total storage). So I need to upgrade because I was having issues with my first pc(old pc)and I wanted to take gaming to the next level(pro skill level). So I upgraded and made a fresh build. But the issue here is that when I was done building my new pc. I didn't sign out out of nothing on my old pc. I just kept everything there in terms of data/files/app data. And my brother that helped me build my new PC told me to unplug the the hdmi cable coming from my old pc to my monitor. He didn't specify which cable to unplug at the time. So me being an idiot unplugged the Power supply cable while my old pc was on. He immediately yelled at me and told me to turn on my old pc to check if everything was working fine and everything looked fine. And it was so I was beginning to setup my new pc. I downloaded windows 10 to a USB stick and bought an activation key from a cheap website. After setting up my new PC; I immediately downloaded my games to start gaming again. When I downloaded my first game I wanted to check the graphics and the frame rate. But the second I went into a match in game. I noticed a difference in my mouse sensitivity. My mouse felt slower than usual. I didn't understand why my mouse was behaving this way. Keep in mind I had my mouse software installed as well and I configured it to my liking. I had the same dpi as my old pc and I was so confused. I looked up some fixes and similar issues as mine on Google. And it told me to reinstall mouse drivers, reinstall windows, I downloaded third party programs to optimize my hardware. I thought of every possible solution to fix my mouse. I even went into settings and turn off enhanced pointer option(It was on by default). I thought maybe it was monitor and monitor is working fine no issue, no lag, no nothing. I thought it was input lag but my mouse is at 4.17ms for input lag. It was the same before building my new pc. So it's not my monitor, it's not my mouse. I also tried using a different mouse and a different USB port but it was the same result. I also noticed that my mouse threshold values in registry edit were different. They were set to 6 and 10. Before they were 0 and 0. I dont know if that has anything to do with my problem. This problem has started when I built my new pc. My mouse sensitivity was fine before upgrading. I also noticed that my old pc has the same issue for some reason. And at this point I don't know whats going on. But I hope anyone that has my problem has a permanent fix for this. I'm in desperate need of help.

Hello everyone. As title says i am wondering how often does a good peripheral last. The reason i am asking this is because i am thinking of changing my 4 year old Logitech G502 to a Deathadder V2 and my Ornata Destiny 2 ED to a XTRFY. They still work as they did the day i bought them but i don't know if i should wait till their "last day" (knocking wood) or buy new ones now. My budget is around 150/200 because i am also upgrading my GPU (finally) and my CPU and i thought i could also upgrade my B450 mobo TO B550 but if i end up not buying it, i can use this money for new peripherals. What do you think guys? Thank you.

My Custom PC after a few months has screen freezes, but audio is still present and I can still move the mouse but unable to click anything. I've tried opening task manager using keyboard shortcuts but even that doesn't work, the screen completely freezes only leaving the mouse and audio running. I've cleared temp files, checked BIOS and Driver updates, but it still happens. How can I fix this? or what would be the possible problem?

I have enjoyed my Deathadder 2013 since about 2015. Its lasted me a good long while, and it feels really good still after over half a decade later. However, i believe the mouse switches to have become less responsive and wanted to replace them. I don't know where i could go to get replacement/ upgraded switches, or quite how to do it. but that's not why I'm here. What im wondering is if it is possible to do more major modifications such as a custom firmware update to allow it to communicate with razer synapse 3, replacing the green LED on the back with a Chroma LED, and my biggest question is if it would be possible, or even helpful, to upgrade the cable to USB 3 instead of the current USB 2. who knows, i might go farther and replace everything with a better mouse, but keep the shell because i love the shape/weight/ low number of buttons, (would prefer up to 5 but no more probably, wait, i could mod those in maybe) sorry for the rant, id just like to be pointed at the right resources as i looked and couldnt find them. i assume its not under warranty anymore... its been 6 years.

My current mouse and keyboard were bundled with a cyberpower pc, and Im looking for a new ones. Ill link them below. With my current setup, I don't have much mouse room, so I'm looking for a 60% mechanical board, and preferably one that isn't so loud. Rgb isn't necessary, but some form of backlight keys/letters would be nice, and some type of macro where I could press it to open certain apps. I have no clue what cherry switch I would prefer. For the mouse, side buttons are a must, and having buttons that can change dpi quickly would be a bonus. Keyboard can be wired, while mouse would be preferred to be a hybrid. keyboard: https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjGkcqrnOL1AhURD-cKHXyPCMYYABAFGgJwdg&sig=AOD64_21tAEG3-Bsp0uSaxLwpjdD2l0O8w&adurl&ctype=5&ved=2ahUKEwj9pqOrnOL1AhX9IzQIHV_XBEUQvhd6BAgBEGc mouse: https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwj1zcm7nOL1AhUxBX0KHZFJAJMYABADGgJwdg&sig=AOD64_0vB-ih6ne9GS_O8Nsdj31Ep4CxxA&adurl&ctype=5&ved=2ahUKEwiL2LS7nOL1AhXwATQIHUeTCDoQvhd6BAgBEFc

I know its an isssure with the windows driver and the logitech driver clashing. I reinstalled all the devices in windows and Logitech GHUB several times. It will work sometimes and ill be able to use the mouse wirelessly for abt 2-4h before its bricked again. A new mouse wouldnt fix the problem since its the windows driver causing issures so im very frustrated at this and i really dont want to reset my system completelty if possible. Ive tried updating the devices in the device manager to official Logitech ones, but there are about 20 driver with all similar names and i dont know which one the correct one. Im completely at a loss

So, I have been using a G502 for the past 4-5 years and last week I got hit with the dreaded double click issue on both my primary and secondary click buttons. I have been researching about mice and have found the Glorious Model D to fit my current needs. Although I am confused if i shoulld get the bigger Model D or the smaller D-. As a reference, the G502 fits my hand perfectly and my hand dimeions are approx 170x80mm. Side note: I have also found the ducky feather for the same price, the switches are from a brand I've never heard of so I'm not sure if i should consider that too.

hey, so for last few years i have been using a Razer Deathadder elite and i am sick of it, after a few months of use the scroll wheel began to creek and now its became way to loud and also sometimes its scrolls while i flick the mouse so i would prefer not go for another razer mouse this time. i have a claw(ish) grip and this time i prefer to go for a wireless mouse i heard a lot of good reviews on the logitech g pro Wireless, and i would just like to hear if someone have any other reccomendtion or if someone here have the logitech g pro wirleless and think its a great choice or if u have something else you think is better preferably something that is not to heavy (one of the reason i am looking at the Logitech one is because is 80G) p.s: i know logitech have the g pro superlight but its a bit out of my price range

My G304 Mouse stared showing a stable red light while switching between DPIs , I tried searching for it & couldn't find anything related , tried updated firware(no update was there) , using a Duracell Ultra for it , its a new cell , put it like 2 weeks ago , not a low battery issue , I just can't figure out what's wrong , mouse is working fine , but the DPI light dosen't show the different colours when switching through different DPIs , help

To sum it up, my mouse frequently stops registering movement at a random interval. Even when I'm not doing anything in particular (workloads). 10 months ago, i changed my mouse just because this was happening to my old mouse. Though the old mouse worked fine on another system and without stuttering. Recently though, it seems that my laptop started having this issue. Again. Even if I'm not running any heavy programs. Just in case its a laptop specific issue, my machine is a Acer Predator Helios 300 from 2018, with an Intel i7 8750H and a GTX 1060 6GB. Mouse is a Glorious Model O- And no, i turned off my touchpad

I need a good wireless keyboard and mouse under 1500 INR (20 $). Any suggestions? Currently using TVS Gold keyboard.
