I have recently built a PC with components I brought from Amazon, Ebay and Facebook Marketplace, and have come into an error relating to the DRAM and CPU lights. Specs are: Motherboard: MSI B150I GAMING PRO Mini ITX CPU: i7 6700 GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SC RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengence @ 2666mhz Probably not relevant specs, but: CPU Cooler: Intel stock cooler PSU: Aerocool Integrator 500W, 80+ Bronze Case: Thermaltake Core V1 Storage: 120gb PNY CS900 SSD & 2.5" WD 1TB HDD When I turned the PC on for the first time, the DRAM light stays on for about 1 second, and then the CPU light quickly flashes and goes back to the DRAM light. I have tried various things to diagnose this, taken out all front panel connectors and starting PC by making contact w/ a screwdriver (same light sequence), using different DDR4 RAM (same light sequence), unplugging the GPU power (same light sequence), unplugging the CPU power (just CPU light), taking out the RAM when starting (same light sequence), using different power cables (same light sequence) and resetting the BIOS w/ CMOS battery (unplugged for 30 mins w/ RAM unplugged and pressed the power button quite a lot to drain power. Fans start spinning, then stop about 1 second after, then straight back to same light flashing). The fans on the GPU tend to go faster then slower ever so often when lights are flashing. I haven't yet tried a new GPU, but I don't think it's a GPU issue because surely the lights wouldn't be flashing?, or using the integrated graphics (for the same reason as GPU), trying PC out of the case and trying a different GPU (even though it's again for the same reason, but I do have other GPU's). I've been looking up on here, Linustechtips forum page, though the motherboards manual, Tom's Guide and other websites and think the issue lies with either the motherboard or the CPU, from what I have diagnosed and what other people have said. I am thinking about buying a new motherboard to test if it's the CPU, but I'm also thinking about buying a different new CPU and returning it if that works with the motherboard, but am unsure which way to go which is where I would like help. Would also greatly appreciate any help that can be given without throwing more money at the issue, but if I have to, then I guess I have to. This is the first Intel build I've done before, so am less aware of some issues that might happen and some common fixes that can be applied to potentially solve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for reading.

Is Asus a good company? I was wondering if I should buy a hero maximus board from them or if I should go for another company. I don't want to deal with horrible customer service if I don't have to.

Build: Motherboard = Asus ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming CPU = AMD Ryzen 3 2200G RAM = 8 GB HyperX Fury 2400mhz GPU = PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 580 Hi everyone, So i recently upgraded my PC to a new case and a new motherboard. Everything worked fine in the old case with a MSI B350M Gaming PRO AM4 B350 but when we turn it on to post nothing happens and the indicator LED says its a memory issue. Iv'e tried half a dozen sticks of RAM to fix the issue but none have seemed to fix the problem. I have had the asus motherboard for almost a year so i am curious if the board needs a BIOS update due to being a first gen ryzen board with a second gen chip, or if its just dead and needs to be replaced. If anyone has an idea please let me know Thank You!

Is it worth paying the $90 premium for the Tiachi? Or will the MSI do just fine? I can’t seem to find robust coverage on the MSI board. The Tiachi seems to generally have favorable reviews with marks against it for power consumption and fan noise? Again, can’t really find anything on the MSI. What say you ?

Hello there! I currently looking into buying a new CPU since my current one just isn't doing the job anymore. I looked into a few options and came to the conclusion that a 3700x would probably be the best choice. A little info on my rig: my GPU is an ASUS STRIX 980Ti and I'm playing on a 144Hz, 1440p monitor. The new CPU would be mostly for gaming (mainly FPS and games like Anno 1800). I know for 1440p a 3600(x) would probably be enough but I plan on holding onto the new system for a few years so that's why I think a 3700x would be a good choice. My parts list: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor €333.00 @ Mindfactory Motherboard Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard €279.99 @ Amazon Deutschland Memory G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory €192.97 @ Amazon Deutschland Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €805.96 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-09-06 01:24 CEST+0200 So what do you think of thees parts? Is a 3700x overall the right choice? And yes astetics is a little important to me

Hey guys. I just updated my mobo's bios to the lastest one (Asus x470-I, BIOS update version 3004 2019/12/27), and after this update a lot of weird things started to happen. After I updated and went in the BIOS again to re-overclock my RAM to 3400mhz the system kept boot looping until I lowered the clocks to 3266. After that the system boots just fine but another problem struck. All games have started to crash be it after 1 minute of playing or maybe right when the game lauches. Any ideeas of what should I do? Should I downdate my BIOS to a older version? Edit: Literally anything else works fine. It's just the games that crash

Linus needs to do a video on the ASUS Mining Master Motherboard. currently all i see is the ASUS B250 MINING EXPERT, but in the middle of 2018 ASUS announced the H370 Mining Master Motherboard https://www.asus.com/us/News/ZwwO4E0EimUoYyEi. it would be fun to see his reaction. I found in wile searching google and came across this website https://www.theverge.com/2018/5/30/17408610/asus-crypto-mining-motherboard-gpus. Maybe he can use his ebay skills and find the test model

I was thinking about 9600kf or 3600x with Z _ X motherboard, already have 2060s. That will be better to bild intel or amd with 2 of this processors based, with 2060super? Guys Thanks in advance!

Hi All, So I am wanting to build my first PC. To be clear I have had loads of PC's in the past , all pre-built and essentially ready to go. I am an XBox gamer and not really into the whole PC gaming thing. What I need is a PC that is future proof, and can have components either swapped out due to a fault or to upgrade in the futrue. I need a system that I can do programming with as well as general web surfing. I do a lot of Auto Cad 3D design and photo editing. At the minuet I am running a Raspberry Pi 4B, which is a great little unit, but as it is light weight I need something with a full set up so I do not get restricted on full programs. In advance THANK YOU!.
