Can anyone tell me how to modify an existing mod? I have some mods downloaded and they're nice but i would like to add more files to the existing mod for more options. Any suggestions?

I already posted this on the Minecraft forums, but it doesn't hurt to get more help. I'm running a (heavily) modded version of Minecraft 1.7.10, but base Minecraft only works on one core, and since I'm running a Piledriver CPU, (A10 5800k) the performance is obviously awful. (PC standards of awful, 25-40 FPS) I tried to get Optifine (1.7.10-OptiFine_HD_U_E7) on my Forge version (1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1558-1.7.10) but it immediately crashed, even if it was just one other mod with it. (I tried several mods) I already tried looking up the issue online, and none of them seemed to work. My mods list goes as follows: Applied Energistics 2 Artifacts Battle Towers Baubles Mod Chocolate Quest Code Chicken (core) CoFH (core) Ender (core) EnderIO Et Futurum Ex Astris Ex Nihilo Extra Utilities iChunUtil (core, i think?) Recently, I have modded my gta v but it seemed to go wrong. Now i wanted have my original game files back. The folder is messed up with asi's, and several issues came up. Now how can i have my original files back? Its a non steam version so i cant do with the verify local cache method. Please help me out..

Hi there, Just want to outline a few things that I'm expecting out of this potential mod before I get into it. - Windowed Side Panel - Flush window or some way of making it look neat Those are the only requirements... since I'm very noob status for case modding this is where I ask for help. How would you guys cut out a hole in your side panel and put a window into it? I'm using a super old case so it's not that big of an issue but I plan to add like a stealthy/sleeper look so you don't know there's decent hardware in there but there is. Any thoughts?

Now then mates how you doin' alright? First of all I'm starting a new build and hoping to get it all done and dusted before the end of summer. That is all you need to know about that before I get off topic. Now, I'm planning on using the Noctua NH-U12S with the Noctua NA-HC2 Chromax cover equipped and plonking it all in an NZXT S340 Elite. My build is going to be black and white, plain and simple. Only problem I have is that the case doesn't provide enough clearance for the heat sink with the cover on, ill be overshooting by about 5mm. So, ladies and gentlemen I've boiled it down to two options as I have my heart set on this case in all of its simple loveliness. Option 1: I ditch the Chromax cover and paint the heat sink myself with Palsti-Dip or something of the likes that will effect performance to a minimal but give my sink the black sexy look that I want from it. Because after some research (although there is little) it is clear to me that it is safe to paint heat sinks given you use the right type of paint and apply as little as possible whilst still maintaining a full and even coverage. Then this will all fit in my case with no clearance issues happy days, it'll probably look decent too so HURRAH! **Please let me know what you think of this option or if you have any information that could help me out or change my mind as to why this idea sucks. Also, if anyone has any actual temp numbers before and after a paint of this specific heat stink I'd really appreciate it.** Option 2: I go balls to the wall and contact my nearest laser cutting company who can cut tempered glass. I ask them to quote me for a cutout on glass pane that will allow the excess heat sink cover length to poke snugly outside of the case. Personally I think this would get me the best results if it all goes to plan, just to have that Chromax logo sitting in the glass you know, it would be sick. I know that this would obviously be the more difficult option and I have no idea how much it would cost to get something like this done, I also have no idea if tempered glass can even be cut like that and still maintain its structural integrity but in my mind it seems like a spot on idea. *BONUS OPTION* (Personal Favorite): I go ahead with both of the options above and have a sexy sleek black painted heat sink with the Chromax cover on top, sitting snug inside my glass panel. This is just an idea I have anyways so let me know what you think and if you think its even possible at all to cutout part of a tempered glass panel. I personally think this would look awesome. Hope this post isn't too long winded and people actually understand what I'm talking about, makes sense in my head but then I've been planning it for weeks so it would. I have an extra touchscreen display from an old laptop. From everything that I have found online, it seems to only apply to non-touch displays. If anyone has any idea it would be much appreciated.

Hi all. I have a pretty decent build in my Cooler Master Masterbox Lite 3.1 and I like it very much. I would like to mod it a bit to keep noise down, but PLEASE keep in mind my temperatures are FINE. 70C on GPU and 40-53C on CPU under load (game dependent). I have two Cougar Vortex 120mm fans, one intake, one exhaust. So in the picture there's only one, but there's two now. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835553002 I mostly want a way to make that front panel A. more open B. have better airflow, maybe add a mesh filter of some sort and C. Avoid the bulge of front headers if I were to just completely remove the front plastic piece. Honestly, in the end, I just want it to be more unique. Note: I don't have easy access to 3D printing, CNC machines, etc., but I do have a plethora of hand tools and saws, dremels, etc.

I have an old Sony 34" wega trinitron tv I want to know if I can Mod if for RGB signal. (Yes I am fully aware of the dangers of opening a CRT and will take the necessary precautions.) Can I look for a Japanese model board and swap it? Does the processor on board already do that and I just need to solder some connections to the chip? Has anyone done this?

I seem to remember on some of the more custom and exotic cases on some LTT builds they sent out to a website that does custom machining for small batches such as a single case panel. I can't seem to find or remember what that site was. Can someone help me out?

Hardware: i7 4790k 4.7GHz MSI Krait Z97 Corsair 16GB 1600 Asus GTX 1080 ti strix oc Fractal design celsius S36 AIO Fractal design Define S case EVGA 850W Supernova G2 Samsung/Crucial SSD's 3x Thermaltake Riing 12RGB fans (on the 360 radiator) 3x Thermaltake Riing 14RGB fans (intake fans front) Few mods were done to this case: Case painted Added a aluminum Floor wrapped in carbon fiber Added a fan grill to the front panel for extra airflow wrapped in carbon fiber Added a vinyl/sticker design front panel Vertical GPU mount from CM Custom sleeved cables. Long story short, my build is mATX and I was given a S340 Elite case as a gift. I love the looks of the case (especially compared to the cube I was using) however it's more suited to an ATX build as opposed to mATX. At some point I'll be upgrading to an X370 mobo at which point I'll go with an ATX, however currently I'll be on the mATX B350 for a bit. There will be a good bit of room left over under the mobo (on top of the psu shroud) to do something unique and fun. I will be all air-cooled, so I won't be using the extra room for any reservoirs or anything. I've already ordered a nice 6" figurine to put on the right side of the shroud, but I need something cool to do with the few extra inches I'll have under the mobo. Any good ideas? Also, first time posting!

Is anyone else here a console modder? I mean re-casing, LED, fan, adding a LCD or just absolute reforming of the console. Got a old PS2 and a XB360 recently, so decided to have a bit of fun and see what would be fun to do. For the XB360 I know I need to replace the stock cooling to avoid red RROD, but I am thinking a clear case and LED to make it stand out. Might laser etch the case too. The PS2 is still all up in the air since it is the original fat model.

I've been on OSX for a while and in my build I plan to dual boot Mac OS for productivity and Windows 10 for gaming and other things and I was wondering if anyone knew mods to add some of the nice to have functionality of Mac OS (like easier screenshots, spotlight, and quick look). Hey guys, I've seen some videos on YouTube about people getting small displays and putting them inside the pc case to monitor temp and things. This kinda inspired me to do the same, I can't seem to find anything that it suitable for this though so I thought maybe you lot could help me out. In short I'm looking for the cheapest way to put a display inside my case so I can monitor speed fan and maybe resource monitor. Thanks guys!

Hey all, I am brand new to the modding world and I am actually still collecting some key tools to do some work with metal, tubing, and wiring. I was wondering if anyone could point me towards a modding forum and if you guys could share where you get your ideas for modding from? I have some ideas of my own but, currently they are a little overly ambitious and I am hoping for some ideas for newbie projects.
