The worst thing has happened around 5 minutes ago.... I got a soda spill on my mech kb... I panicked, un plugged as soon as it happened and disassembled it completely. Now, I've found sticky residue on the PCB. is there a way to clean it "for cheap"? l've read about the "toothbrush + 96% Isopropyl alcohol" combo, but I want to be sure it wont break anything else... and yes.. i'm this unlucky. (this never happened to me... and it had to happen to my first mech KB....)

Yesterday I bought a Gigabyte Force K85 mechanical keyboard [link]. The cost seemed fairly reasonable for a fully mechanical rgb keyboard. But the fact is before buying I didn't check any review on this one. Now my variant has Kailh Blue switches, and I do seem to like the feel of the switches. But as this is my first mechanical keyboard, also it has got a lot of bad reviews, do I need to follow any guidelines or careful uses in order to make it last at least a year or 2? Does anyone in this forum have experience with this keyboard. Please share your advice :). Thank you.

Hello everyone, today I got myself the g410 logitech mechanical keyboard. It’s not a bad keyboard, and it worked smooth up until I decided to update the driver to play around with the rgb. After I was done updating, my keyboard stopped working properly. It would power up for a sec and go out for a second. Quiet rapidly I’d say. Things I’ve tried: 1) one a different computer, nothing changed. 2) device manager>usb hub>unticked the option which says “pc can turn off this usb to save power” no results I want to avoid returning it. It was a shipment. If I return it, my money will take a week to come back. Please any suggestions/help would be appreciated. I’m not opening the keyboard to not void the warranty or give them an excuse to not take it back.

Hello guys , in a few days im gonna choose and buy my first ever mechanical keyboard , ive been using a microsoft membrane for too ong xD. So my budget is 50 euros ( i live in europe ) and ive been debating between these two keyboards : 1)Motospeed CK104 with blue Outemu switches ebay link: m.ebay.com/itm/Wired-Keyboard-Motospeed-Inflictor-CK104-Mechanical-Blue-Switches-Backlit-RGB-/162502955674?hash=item25d5ee529a%3Ag%3Aww0AAOSww5NZAyZG&_trkparms=pageci%253Aa1b4e2e6-9647-11e7-8363-74dbd180d824%257Cparentrq%253A6cafabed15e0aa48e5c7a15effe9a961%257Ciid%253A1 2) and the Ajazz AK33 which has blue switches but the maker of them isnt specified , from youtube reviews they say they are Zorro Blue Switches ebay link: m.ebay.com/itm/Ajazz-Geek-AK33-Backlit-USB-Wired-Gaming-Mechanical-Keyboard-for-PC-Laptop-/121991387736?var=&hash=item1c6740da58%3Am%3Am8UdK8NaQRLhr0Zm2pw3NJA&_trkparms=pageci%253A02067a99-9648-11e7-af0a-74dbd180c4f6%257Cparentrq%253A6cb2232d15e0aa14c8384217ffe97923%257Ciid%253A1 So i generally would go for the Ajazz because of the looks and the unizque form factor which i love looking at , but as the blue switches that are used are not specified im worried , i googled zorro blue switches but didnt gather much information, some people say that these blue zorro switches are inconsistent in pressure etc. while the outemu switches have a good reputation while being louder than the cherry mx blues. Do you guys know anything about the Zorro switches, about their inconsistency? im really skeptical about the ajazz for this reason only.. ive previously used several times razer greens at internet cafes and loved them , so ive felt the tactileness and clickiness and ive concluded to buy a keyboard with blue switches... thanks in advance for any help

So I was deciding to get the Anne Pro. Since it is on sale as of right now, for those who had the chance to use it. Is it that good? Really now, I'm currently using cherry mx blues and thinking of getting the gateron blues on it to get somewhat a clicky feel. Thanks

Hello LTT forum! Please give me your recommendations! I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard, but I don't know what to get. I currently use a Dell L100 I found and I am used to the feel of its membrane switches but I am looking for more features/ better feel. I have tried researching different switches to see what fits me, but there is no way for me to find out what I like best before using them. What I'm looking for is a quiet keyboard that also might use the same software as my G502 mouse, but I also would love to build my own. I hate the large size of my current keyboard so a TKL version is a plus.

I just got a new laptop and my keyboard is quite flimsy. So, I decided to get something small and compact for a alternative keyboard for it. Something that I can bring around. I decided to go for a 60% mechanical keyboard. I looked at the Vortex Poker 3 and the IKCB Poker ii. If you can recommend any other brand or keyboard would do. Something with a tactile feel. I do type with some force so something that can withstand that for around 8-12 hours would be awesome. With or without LEDs would be fine. And a detachable cable would be a plus, since I would be placing it inside a bag more or less.

Hey guys, I heard this keyboard had some compatibility problems with MacOS (such as bad key mapping and the keyboard not being detected) and I don't know if i should buy it, since i'll be using it on my mac. Do any of you have/had this problem (if you use it with MacOS obviously)? And is it still an issue or did Ozone already make it MacOS supported? Thank you

I was watching this video And on 6:44 We can see a really cool and useful little keypad, that a guy did by himself. I think that'll besuper useful for people with super-small keyboards without macro keys and, maybe, video-editors. I found some resembling keypads, but they're priced like a whole cheap mechanical keayboard, but with only 8 keys .-. I know where to buy switches and a plate, but how to do other stuff like programming and circuit (maybe?) Sorry for my bad English

Well Ive been putting up with it for a long time now but its still really bugging me. Got a K95 about a year ago now.. And since then ive had just a horrific experience with it... Well the keyboard itself is decent bright lights good feedback from the keys and so on. But god damn the drivers and software are fu*!#ng bs. Installed all the latest drivers and firmwares but still nothing. Just decides when it's going to work or not. It will cut out and you'll have to switch profiles on the board itself until it works again... Picks and chooses if it will work in the bios even if it's in the bios mode. The lighting rarely works 90% of the time its just red no change after 20 minutes of custom lighting.... Just random crap like that really. Anyone experience this sort of crap?

So, a couple weeks ago i bought a G.Skill keyboard for the dekstop PC i made just a couple days ago. I wanted to use it on my laptop so i could get used to the feel of the keyboard and stuff before using it with my desktop. I installed the software and drivers for it on my laptop and everything was good. I'm pretty impressed with this keyboard, honestly. Great build quality and everything. However, yesterday i installed the RGB software on my desktop computer. After that, whenever i used the volume slider the RGB would flicker annoyingly. I uninstalled the RGB software and the drivers then reinstalled them and kept the RGB software uninstalled. The volume slider issue went away, but now i noticed that if i hold down the caps lock key it flickers violently. TL;DR RGB keyboard is having issues, what do? Keyboard on Newegg EDIT: I just realized that there is a forum for troubleshooting. Oops, I'm sorry if i put this in the wrong place :c EDIT2: Oh, it might be worth noting that the keyboard works fine on my laptop. It's probably a driver issue of some sort?

Hello, this is my first mechanical keyboard and after i melted my brain in which swiches i would take. i ended up between Coolermasters and crosair's. So the thing is i think i could use the MX speed switches in K95 cause : 1) they are faster (i like competetive gaming have spent my life on it ) 2) i do like they sound a bit clicky but not so loud 3) i like to type fast I would give 2 more votes to k95 platinum : -cause it has one more usb slot -they have instant media keys onboard (means u have to press 1 button, i guess u can assign a macro on CM or fx + somethin) and last they implement a wrist rest with the keyboard, dunno if it will be any good to be honest. I guess both keyboard has awesome RGB's ! I DO really like the minimal looks on CM and the font is supreme to k95 which is gross but i guess those things wont matter in 2-3 years of excessive using cause they will fade. Also im not sure but the build quality on CM looks better and was wondering if the 2 vs 1.2 mx speed is that real of a difference in moba - fps games. Please lend me your thoughts =) p.s. k95 costs 50euro more in my country but dont really care since planning to keep them for like 3-5 years also to note i live in greece so i cant find other good keyboards

Hi, Does anyone use a mechanical keyboard in an office environment? The main concern I'd have is noise, do people find mechanical boards annoying when at work?

I am in the market for a new mechanical keyboard and I found the Azio MGK L80 RGB Mechanical Keyboard on Massdrop for $79.99. I type a lot and game a little bit on the side. I was wondering if anybody has experience with this keyboard and if it is any good. I know that it does not have cherry switches, but I have never used a mechanical keyboard before so it does not matter too much to me. If you have any other recommendations for a different keyboard these are my restraints: under $100 USD including shipping needs a numpad needs media controls needs a wrist rest preferably RGB lit preferably floating keys style does NOT need cherry switches although those would be great I have never used a mechanical keyboard so anything is an upgrade for me. All thoughts are appreciated.

Hi all I'm looking for a new keyboard. So basic requirements it has to be full-size and has to be under $200 USD. Some info most of my keyboards have been on laptops. The laptops I have used are MSI FX-603, MSI GT72, Lenovo yoga 2 and the Razer blade 2014. I'm currently using the Razer black widow ultimate 2014 and I'm not the biggest fan. My favorite keyboards were definitely on the MSI laptops. Any help would be appreciated

So the other day I bought a used G710+, some of the keycaps are broken and I'd like to find replacements for them, or maybe just replace them all. But I'm having a hard time finding a keycap set in the UK/IRL that are iso, black and translucent. Most of the ones I find are in the US or they're not translucent, or not black. I found these ( https://goo.gl/rb65fm ) but they are in the US and I'm not sure about the fully translucent look, especailly on a keyboard with only white backlighting. I though of buying a broken G710+ and stealing the caps but they're hard to find. Do ant of you have some advice on what to do?

I have owned a few and want to purchase one for my brother. I'm currently rocking the redragon kumara k552 and love it. I want to have something back-lit and smaller because he has limited space on his desk. I'm planning on purchasing this one for him.And most of the keyboards at this price point or going to be blue switches or something similar so that doesn't matter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DBVH16U/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2U3R73MNHPWPS

Hello! So I've been looking for an upgrade from my razer deathstalker and I found the corsair k55. I love everything about this keyboard except that it isn't mechanical. I've been searching around but I can't seem to find any other keyboard that is similar to the k55. I would love to hear some suggestions! What I'm looking for in a keyboard: Mechanical switches- I like the brown switches, they have a nice feel to them but I'm up for suggestions. Programmable macro keys Wrist rest Extras: RGB lightning Media keys I know it's rare for a keyboard with low cost including macro keys, but Hopefully you guys have something that might fit. My budget says a price tag around 100$, more or less! Thanks

I've been doing some window shopping for a mechanical keyboard for a good 6 months now and even got myself a switch tester to know the feel of a mechanical keyboard as I've been accustomed to "good enough is all you need for a keyboard" and membrane was always the default choice. I finally jumped in and placed an order on massdrop for a full-size mech keyboard that uses Outemu switches. I did a bit of digging online and they seem to be a cheaper version of Cherry switches but with relatively good quality to them. I would have prefferred Cherry MX Brown or the hybrid purple one just to see how it feels on a daily basis, but Outemu Blacks are what I am going for this time around. I started wondering what people think of less expensive alternatives to Cherry switches, so I'm asking the opinion of the aphionadoes and enthusiasts alike what makes a key switch stand out for you? The clicky sound or the feel of the key you're pressing? I am just curious to know.
