Good Day, My Specs: Full Alphacool water cooling loop Ryzen 7 3700x with Alphacool Eisbaer 360 CPU x570 aorus elite 1080ti with (Alphacool Eiswolf ) Team group 32GB 3600mhz Ram. EVGA Super Nova 1000p2 (1000w) So I swapped my PSU to a more powerful one today and changed my CPU thermal paste to Kryonaut. After swapping these two things my cpu temps start at 40C instantly and gradually (quickly) rises to 95C. Hitting a sweet 107C recently before shutting off. I never had this problem before the swap. Looking into the see through panel of the CPU cooler i noticed some white small particles floating in the loop. Could this have caused the sudden extreme temperature rise in idle? Or, Could it be the thermal paste? (I don't have any other paste to test). I'm truly lost I have reapplied and tightened all i could tighten with 0 success. Any help would be greatly appreciated ask away if you require extra info

Hello, I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 with a Intel Core i5-3470. I run it with its stock cooler, which is not very good. The idle temps are 60-70C. One reason they are very high beacuse the ambient room temperature is higher than 30C in day time and it reaches 23-25C in the night time. The temps when gaming are around 75-85C. When stress testing then reach in the high 90s. I wanted to know which cooler can I use in my system. Please give me some budget options. Thanks

Hello LTT forum, I have a few questions or surveys about AIO coolers. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and respond to it. 1. Is there a big difference between 240 mm, 280mm and 360mm Radiator sizes? I have a Corsair H150i Pro that runs quietly even on full load and while overclocking my temps don't reach above 70 degrees according to iCUE. I watched the LTT video talking about the difference between a good air cooler and an AIO and apparently the 360mm AIO lost or something 2. Which type or liquid cooling is the best in performance, AIO or custom in most builds? 3. Referring from question 2, is a custom loop worth it, in terms of both flexing RGB and performance? 4. Does having lesser tube length in a custom loop means more performance as in my logic, lesser tube length means that water could quickly flow to the radiator to exhaust the heat and cycle back to the CPU faster, leading to lesser temperatures. 5. Is custom looping the GPU worth it? 6. How long do you need to change the water in a custom loop assuming the water I use is industrial grade pure water

With the imminent release of Ryzen 5 in April I have decided to replace my current build with a new Ryzen build. I will be using the Phanteks P400 Tempered Glass case and the CPU will be cooled by a Swiftech H240-X2. This case has the motherboard mounted higher than usual due to the full psu shroud making top mounting of rad impossible. My question is, with the rad mounted in the front of the case would it be better to use the rear three fans as intakes and blow all the air through the front, possibly sacrificing CPU temps due to already hot air being pushed through the rad, or still use the front as an intake and introduce warm air into the system rather than cold air? Full proposed build: -Ryzen 5 1600x(with a moderate overclock) -Asus Strix RX-480 OC 8GB -Asus Prime B350 Plus Motherboard -Swiftech H240-X2 -16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB -Evga Supernova 750 G1 -3 additional Noctua 140mm A-14 PWM fans for the back and the pre-installed fans on the AIO (Not sure if necessary but will give a good idea of the heat and cooling solutions I will be working with)

I plan on buying a Hybrid cooler from evga for my gtx 1080 founders edition and know that the radiator fan is loud and runs at 100%. I also plan on buying a new fan and running it on my motherboard, which I can't run the fan for gpu temps, but I'll try to figure out a custom profile for that. I'm looking for a recommendation for which fan I should buy, being a combination of silence and good airflow. Also, the fan should be 120mm.

Been doin' the cooling thing for 6 months now. The water level has gone done since then, but seems to have leveled off now :/. Could it be my reservoir cap is not on tight enough? I've also noticed the water sometimes leaks, in little drips, from the base of the reservoir, not sure why. Very inexperienced with this, so please ask questions and I'll hopefully make it easier to help figure this out. This is the kit I bought https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-kit-p360

Alright guys I've got an interesting problem today that I can't seem to figure out. I have a mini itx build in a define nano s. 6700k, 1080, all the works. I was even able to fit a h100i v2 in there to cool the processor, so it occurred to me the other day that with all this great cooling capacity I should be overclocking! I was able to get a pretty nice overclock up to 4.8 but this is where I learned something existential about myself: I hate noise. Long story short I turn back everything to default (I'm still using the XMP settings) and I even worked my fan curves on the h100i to get as little noise as possible. Now this is where all my problems come from. I was checking hwmonitor and the motherboard temp caught my attention, it was at 110 Celsius and climbing. I hiked up all the fans and it kept climbing, opened up the side panel and it went even higher to 115. Finally I shut it off fearing that eventually I could cause some real damage. I rebooted into the bios and it too was reading 100 Celsius. When I went down into the case you could feel the heat resonating and the heat sinks on the motherboards were incrediblely hot. (It's a ASUS z170i pro gaming) I left the system off for a few hours and it cooled down. Now, whenever I have a gaming session I'll return to CPU temps in the 90s and motherboard temps in the 100s. I really can't figure out what is causing these components to get so hot and I'm worried it may cause long term harm. Any ideas are very much appreciated!!

I recently found a used Cooler Master Glacer 240L V2 in like new condition at a great price. It's in the box and everything is there except the (now detachable) power cable that plugs into the cpu pump block to power it. I contacted Cooler Master support and they told me that they do not support or sell parts for the Galcer 240L, and wouldn't tell me anything else. I assume it's because it's really a Swiftech cooler, but they wouldn't say. I posted on Swiftech's tech support but haven't received a reply yet. Would anyone know where I might be able to get this cable? Thanks!

So, I'm thinking of water cooling my PC but at the same time I don't want the pipes to burst and destroy it. Is there anyway i could prevent this or should I stick with air cooling?

Im chasing up 8mm fittings (compression or barbed not fussed) and also some tubing. reasons is because cheap ass pump has 8mm fittings solid fixed so just going to run with it. its only a test loop. if it dies in the ass im not fussed.

I have decided to get the Kraken all in one Liquid Cooler, however I don't know if I should purchase the Kraken 240mm or the Kraken 280mm. I am going to get the NZXT S340 Elite case and I have heard that both coolers fit into that case, but I still don't know which one to choose. Will there be a noticeable temperature difference when comparing both coolers or will nothing change?

Hey guys, Can anyone recommended me a decent 480mm liquid cooling kit? I remember seeing one on EKWB but I can't find it anymore and Overlockers UK doesn't have any 480 kits available either. I found one but i'm not sure it's a very good quality one. ( Alphacool Cool Answer 480 ) I have a 4790K and a Core x9 case from thermal take if that helps. Are there any AIO for 480 or DIY kits?

Hi everyone, first time poster here looking for some input from anyone who might have person experience with AIO cpu coolers. When I first finished my build, I had decided to go for the biggest air cooler I knew could fit in my case, a thermalright Macho Rev 2, and while I am very happy with the performance I am starting to regret the amount of space it takes up in my case. I've been recently looking into switching to a closed loop liquid cooler instead, either a 240 or 280mm, but I'm not sure what would be best for me. I was originally planning on going for a Deepcool Captain 240 since the red/black color scheme matches my build and lets be honest that waterblock is sick, but I read several reviews saying that it leaked on users after around 2 months on average. Anyone had experience with one? I'd appreciate your thoughts. More generally though, how many of you out there have AIO liquid coolers that are outside the typical waterblock/pump design (products like the Corsair H100 and other similar looking ones) that you've been happy with? I've spent most of my build on function over form so I think it's time for me to begin balancing that out a bit and working on aesthetic.

Hi, so I was recently experiencing some problems with my i7-7700k getting too hot using a Cryorig H7 Air Cooler, however I then bought a second hand Corsair H80i (for the same price I bought the H7 for). I am experiencing better temps with the H80i, as expected, but I have a feeling that is because I installed the H7 incorrectly. I had the fan facing the wrong way on it, could this have caused my CPU to get a lot hotter than it should? This was my first PC build, so that is the cause of the mistake And if so, do you think it is worth it for me to go back to the H7 as it is possible for the H80i to leak and damage components, especially as it is second hand, and the H7 won't damage anything else if the fans fails? Thanks.

I am running an Intel i7-7700k @ 4.5GHz (nothing special) with a Corsair H80i AIO liquid cooler on it, and, to me, the idle temperatures seem a little higher than they should. Just under < 10% CPU load, it is running about 35 - 40 degrees celcius, now I know this is obviously safe, but it still seems high for not stressing the CPU. Also, when stressing it at 100% load, using prime95, the temperature hovers at around 70 - 75 degrees, after about 10 mins, is this what I should be getting? One other thing, after a while using prime95 two cores just stop being 100% under load, is this normal or not? Thanks

I was checking partpicker.com and putting togethert a PC, but it seems like the cooling device I chose to use is not going to work because of that being incompatible with the 1700X. I checked Corsair's website and it says it is compatible with AM4 Socket and that just confused me more. Also I'm Planning to use the motherboard GIGABYTE GA-AX370-GAMING 5.

x99 I Need Help Deciding On An X99 Motherboard
theCynicalMonk posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
So I had this dream build in mind, linked here. It was going to be a much-needed upgrade for me. If you check out my profile, I'm currently running an FX-6300 build with a 1060. Bleh. But then it occurred to me... why go for the new hardware that intel is offering when the old tick-tock model is out and there really aren't that many performance gains when going with Kaby Lake. So I am scrapping the old CPU and Motherboard for the X99 variety... But what to choose? I REALLY like Asus and MSI, I'm a big fan of the ROG designs and don't mind shelling out extra money for aesthetics. When it comes to choosing looks over performance, though, I will always go with performance. I need help deciding on a mobo. Here are my needs: - SLI capable - 2 M.2 ports capable of 2280 length - liquid cooling friendly - rated well for overclocking Here are my wants: - aesthetically pleasing, rgb if possible - flow and water cooling headers - high quality "built in" sound card for high fidelity 7.1- 3 replies

So around Christmas time I bought a EVGA FTW 1070 Hybrid, an AIO liquid cooled card. I have never owned a AIO GPU before, but the pump on this card seems to be incredibly loud, I have been comparing it to the AIO Netpton 240 M in my system and that is silent during operation. At idle the noise levels of the pump seem to be about the same as the Noctua fan in my system at 50% or about 1500 rpm. The noise is hard to describe but it basically sounds like a loud buzzing noise. It's so loud in fact, that I can hear it through my headphones while gaming. Can anybody that has used/owned an AIO GPU before help me decide if I need to RMA my card? I would really hate to send it back, but the noise is pretty annoying.

Okay so I decided to work on a RWBY pc. So i'm going full red and black, with some amd hardware. But i came to big problem of choosing a cooling solution... So I entered the EKWB website and came with this custom loop : https://www.ekwb.com/custom-loop-configurator/shared/oW58a6f773676 I don't really know if it will be good or not and I need to put stuff in the case to make sure it's "RWBY like" ( my case is a phanteks pro M). can some of you guys help me ?

Has anyone experienced an almost 30 degree C temp drop just by removing factory TIM and using IC Diamond? Using Prime 95 and the stock TIM on the Corsair H115i my cpu would top out in the low to mid 60 degree C range after 30 minutes of torture testing or small FFT's. I have been running this test now after applying a pea sized amount of IC Diamond to my CPU and surfing the web, playing with PhotoShop CS and my temp will not go over 38 degrees C. Is this normal? Is the factory corsair TIM just that bad???
