Hey all, I've been dealing with this issue for almost a year now and it seems absolutely no one else on this planet has this issue. On most of the games I play in the menus I will only be getting like 2 fps and my cpu (i9 9900k) will be receiving the bulk of the load whereas my gpu sits at 1-15% utilization. Once I tab out of the game however the games fps skyrockets to 144fps+ and the gpu gets pegged at 70-100% like I would expect. At first this issue was only in the menus but now in games such as Modern Warfare 2019 and Halo Infinite the game will just flat out refuse to the use the gpu when it is the focused application. I've attached a video below of the issue. Untitled.mp4

So I made a fresh build and the components consist of: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, RTX 3070 EVGA, 16gb ram corsair vengeance pro 3200 Mghz, x570 Aorus elite pro motherboard, 750 watt corsair psu gold rated, 1tb ssd Samsung EVO 860 4tb Seagate hdd. I think thats it and my old pc was a pre-built from BestBuy. It had a i5-9600F, 8gb ram(single stick), gtx 1660, 500 watt, 1224 tb(total storage). So I need to upgrade because I was having issues with my first pc(old pc)and I wanted to take gaming to the next level(pro skill level). So I upgraded and made a fresh build. But the issue here is that when I was done building my new pc. I didn't sign out out of nothing on my old pc. I just kept everything there in terms of data/files/app data. And my brother that helped me build my new PC told me to unplug the the hdmi cable coming from my old pc to my monitor. He didn't specify which cable to unplug at the time. So me being an idiot unplugged the Power supply cable while my old pc was on. He immediately yelled at me and told me to turn on my old pc to check if everything was working fine and everything looked fine. And it was so I was beginning to setup my new pc. I downloaded windows 10 to a USB stick and bought an activation key from a cheap website. After setting up my new PC; I immediately downloaded my games to start gaming again. When I downloaded my first game I wanted to check the graphics and the frame rate. But the second I went into a match in game. I noticed a difference in my mouse sensitivity. My mouse felt slower than usual. I didn't understand why my mouse was behaving this way. Keep in mind I had my mouse software installed as well and I configured it to my liking. I had the same dpi as my old pc and I was so confused. I looked up some fixes and similar issues as mine on Google. And it told me to reinstall mouse drivers, reinstall windows, I downloaded third party programs to optimize my hardware. I thought of every possible solution to fix my mouse. I even went into settings and turn off enhanced pointer option(It was on by default). I thought maybe it was monitor and monitor is working fine no issue, no lag, no nothing. I thought it was input lag but my mouse is at 4.17ms for input lag. It was the same before building my new pc. So it's not my monitor, it's not my mouse. I also tried using a different mouse and a different USB port but it was the same result. I also noticed that my mouse threshold values in registry edit were different. They were set to 6 and 10. Before they were 0 and 0. I dont know if that has anything to do with my problem. This problem has started when I built my new pc. My mouse sensitivity was fine before upgrading. I also noticed that my old pc has the same issue for some reason. And at this point I don't know whats going on. But I hope anyone that has my problem has a permanent fix for this. I'm in desperate need of help.

Can't seem to find any information about this issue I'm having so I figures I could try here. I do video editing on the daily and like to move back and forth between my desktop and G15 so I have a Sandisk external ssd I use to go back and forth. On my desktop I connect via the USB-C port and have zero issues. Performance is almost on par as if with an internal ssd. But when I move to my G15 performance is the same except when first "accessing" the drive. It's most noticeable in Premiere Pro where whenever I leave the program to browse the internet or something and come back to Premiere. When I switch back to premiere I always have to wait 10-15 seconds for it to 'access' the drive. After that 10-15 second wait it works perfect until I leave premiere and come back. Another example I have is when I copy something over to the drive without using it for awhile, the progress bar opens, sit's at 0% for 10-15 seconds, then transfers the file at the expected speeds. For awhile I thought it may be the drive itself, but on my desktop pc it work flawlessly. I can't think of anything other than some hidden power setting that I haven't found yet. A few things I've tried: -Uninstalling the USB drivers and reinstalling -Disabling "allow windows to turn off this device when not in use" via device manager -Disabling "turn off usb when not in use" in advanced power management -Disabled power saving in "USB settings" -Enabling windows to cache buffer on the drive -Tried via usb A ports -Tried different cable -Same issue with different Samsung external ssd Any help would be amazing!

Front left speaker (Logitech z906) crackling/distorted sound. Troubleshooting steps performed: 1. Tried different devices (PC, macbook, mobile) and inputs. No change. 2. Swapped various speakers. All speakers are fine. Only front left ports have this issue. 3. Swapped working cable with front left. All cables are fine. No change. 4. Performed a reset for all settings. Device is out of warranty now. Please advise what can be done to fix this issue. Thanks.

Okay so here goes, All my games used to run very smoothly even on 60fps till a couple of months back when every game I played below 144fps started to feel laggy/choppy. I tried every basic solution internet had to offer but had no luck with them. My specs back then were:- Acer 144hz monitor (no freesync or gsync) GTX 1060 6gb i5 8600k 8x2 3200mhz DDR4 Corsair HX750 PSU Razer Viper wired with 1000hz polling rate I was losing my mind over this issue until I recently decided to upgrade my monitor and GPU. My specs now:- Gigabyte g24f 165hz monitor (Gsync compatible) RTX 3070 8gb Everything else is the same. I thought this upgrade would fix the issue but there's literally no difference. Any game that goes below 120-144 feels like I'm playing under 60fps whether it's single player or multiplayer. There is no stuttering or lag while using the pc for other purposes. The GPU temp barely every goes above 75° even at 100% usage and the CPU temp never goes above 60° Here's a video benchmarking fps with afterburner: Youtube Also, there's this thing called 99% fps on Nvidia geforce overlay which in my case is like half of my average fps. Here's an example video: Nvidia What I have already tried:- - Clean reinstall of windows - Turning vsync on or off (I've never played any game with vsync on in my life) - Disabling fullscreen optimizations - Using both HDMI and DP cable - Using RTSS to cap FPS This has been way too frustrating for me and I feel like I'm running out of options on the internet and at this point I'll take any help I can get. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide you with to make you understand the issue better. Thanks

Hello, my RX 5600 XT for some reason randomly crashes when playing demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and/or Halo: Infinite. Generally being after a few hours of playing, or hell, today it happened after two minutes while it was just loading Cyberpunk. I have zero clue on what causes these random crashes and I tried everything I could think of: -Update the BIOS -Reseat the GPU -Stress test GPU, CPU and RAM (apparently no issues found) -Update the drivers -DDU the drivers and reinstall them -Update Windows -sfc and DISM to repair damaged Windows components (it did repaired something, not sure what though) -Undervolt the GPU (from 1050-1001mV to 925mV, going lower would cause instability and/or crashes when on heavy load) -Made sure temps don't get too high on any component, especially the GPU -Making sure every component isn't misconfigured (like undervolted or overclocked CPU, misconfigured RAM etc.) Things possibly worth noting: -I store most of my games on HDDs I took from laptops that are connected as internal drives. They're quite slow, but they do their jobs (also, SMART reports nothing bad about them) -The GPU struggles to run Cyberpunk (mostly the only intensive game I'm playing right now) if the Power Limit setting in AMD Radeon Settings isn't set to +20%, it seems that power consumption fluctuates a lot when that setting is set on default making FPS also fluctuate, while everything is stable if I set it to +20% -Scrcpy, which I always run in background, if it stays minimized for a very long time it would really rarely freeze for a bit or freeze the GPU itself until a driver timeout happens (though one of the crashes happened without this program running so I don't think this is the issue) -Nothing weird, like graphical artifacts or slowdowns, happens before a crash, the system would just suddenly die when you least expect it -The only visible pattern between all these random BSoDs is the fact that none of them ever showed up, the system would just crash, freeze on the last frame the GPU was rendering, with looped audio and that's it. Also, the crash is almost always a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, sometimes it was something else but generally it's always this error Besides intensive games, the PC works perfectly fine when playing less intensive stuff and or using it for everyday tasks (I have a Linux Mint partition that I use for everyday tasks, I use Windows only for games) These are the last two memory dumps of the last crash (yeah, Windows saved both a minidump and a normal dump of the same crash, don't ask me why): I really, REALLY, hope it's just a weird software issue and not a hardware one, because if I'll end up doing a RMA of the card I'll be screwed, there's no way I'm getting another one either by replacement via the warranty or buying it (I don't even have the money for it, especially with how bad the market is). I just tried to search my card on Amazon (Italy) and I couldn't even find it, just a bunch of overpriced cards, the closest one I could find was a RX 5500 XT and it costs freaking 1240$, like what the heck. Thanks for the help. Hardware: -AMD Ryzen 5 3600 -MSI B550-A Pro -2x8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM 3600MHz -XFX AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT -Sharkoon WPM Gold Zero 550W

Basically, for about three weeks now I've had a problem where my drivers would out of nowhere without any notification just downgrade or update themselves to this version that I've never heard of, the 21.30.23 drivers release. I've disabled Windows Updates, and I've had this issue happen three times. Every time, I would try to record something and notice ReLive won't start, then I open AMD and I see it's got no ReLive cause it's downloaded these stupid drivers. I did a clean install of 21.10.2 with DDU two times when the issue occured, and once with AMD Cleanup. Just now, it happened again, whilst I was playing a game. No screen flickering, no notification pop ups, nothing. I rolled back the drivers and will see if it happens again. The drivers that keep being downloaded for whatever reason: https://imgur.com/X17d2rO

Hi, So i built my pc about a year and a half ago and since then its been running fine with a few issues here and there which i was able to fix. Yesterday, whilst playing apex, my game suddenly crashed and i encountered the blue screen of death. My PC kept on konstantly crashing, rebooting, bluescreen, rebooting, bluescreen, etc. There i tried clean restarts, reinstalling windows and what not, nothing worked when suddenly i just got a black screen with both my monitors saying no input detected. At that point i thought it was a GPU issue since my GPU is quite old and has been uded alot over the years, but when i tried it in a different computer it worked fine, so i ruled that out. Thats when I noticed the yellow qled on my MB indicating a DRAM issue. In order to fix this i attempted everything i was able to find: -Reinstalling my RAM sticks in the correct ports and cleaning them -Reinstalling my cpu, thermal paste and cooler to see if there was damage or installment issue and watching out not to screw the cooler on too tightly - Tried different cables, cleaning ports and making sure all the ports are plugged in properly - reset my cmos with battery and shortcircuiting the dedicated pins My specs are: RYZEN 3900X GIGABYTE WINDFORCE 980 Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3200Mhz ddr4 ram NOCTUA NH12A Asus TUF Gaming 570x Plus Corsair 750W Gold PSU Samsung evo 980 m.2 SSD (OS) Seagate barracuda HDD I would reall appreciate if someone could help me put with this because im really lost. I attached pictures of the QLED.

So ever since I've been on windows 11, I've gotten intermittent slowdown and I have no idea as to why its been happening. The slowdown is similar to how an emulator may slow down during emulation, with there being audio stretching and the entire desktop or game slows down to a couple FPS. This will happen even when nothing is running and I may only be watching a youtube video or something like that with a low load and for about 2-3 seconds the entirety of windows just slows down and the audio stretches. Its been infuriating me for the last while and I have no idea how to fix it, any help would be much appreciated!

Hi All, My PC Randomly has moments where I hear the windows device disconnect and reconnect sound but nothing happens. I have ran a USB Watcher and noticed that all devices discount for a second and reconnect. Although when gaming nothing changes. Still can move, shoot and hear. Any Ideas? My Build: AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT Zotac RTX3080 Ti Trinity 32GB LPX Corsair RAM 850w Gold Corsair PSU H100i CPU Cooler Couple SSD & a M.2 Could it be a faulty motherboard only considering that its only started happening or the PSU? GPu Spikes causing it? I have both 24pin and 8 Pin into the Motherboard before you ask. Thankss

Hi all, I hope this is not a duplicate post - I tried a search but couldn't find anything that matched my issue. A bit of context: I'm running an aging i7-5820k setup, and recently managed to buy an Asus Strix 3080 to replace my Strix 1070. I had previously purchased an MSI Gaming Z 3080, but had to return this as it had severe connection/display dropping issues. Only the HDMI port did not have this issue, but instead had intense frame stuttering. Together with the MSI card I had upgraded from my PSU to an 850w RM850 from Corsair, to ensure that I have enough power. Today I got the new Strix 3080 and installed it and all seemed to be well. That was until I ran Unigine Heaven 4.0 and noticed the display issues returned. There was also some stuttering, however not as bad as the MSI card. I recorded this video to help me explain the issue at hand: Youtube video of the issue - I hope it is clear from the video that the screen periodically goes black for a brief moment, and that there's the occasional stutter. The card is running at stock settings and was only some 50-60 degrees Celsius at the time of recording. Here's an image I took of the result of the Heaven benchmark. The min. FPS of 9 screams at me that something isn't right: Unigine benchmark result Seeing as this is the 2nd card to exhibit the same issue, I'm starting to suspect other components in the PC of being the root cause. The thing is, I'm using the same cables, the same PCIe slot and same monitor as when I had the 1070 installed, and that card runs flawlessly. It is my hope that through the collective tech minds on this forum, we can find the root cause of my troubles. I would hate to have to stick to my 1070 until it's worth upgrading the rest of the PC. Regards, Rasmus M. J. Jakobsen

Hey yall, so I built myself a new PC. I7 9700K 9th Gen CPU, GTX 1060 GPU, H310M S2 2.0 motherboard, a 500 watt power supply, 16gb DDR4 ram running inside an ATX cabinet. Im facing a issue where my PC crashes every few minutes, depending on the load. Using basic editing software gets it crashing in 5 or so minutes and it crashes in 3 different ways- A complete freeze, complete crash or a blue dump. I have to run it on windows 8.1, it refuses to boot on windows 10. I think temps may be an issue, although I can't really be sure. Any issues or advice? Blue dump errors- WHEA uncorrectable error Machine check exception

Hello, I've had this super strange issue with my computer for about 3 months now. It seems like it's gradually getting worse every day. It is quite complex but I'll try to make it as short as possible. 3 months ago, I noticed strange screen tearing in games that appeared only in fullscreen mode (with and without VSync on) and fullscreen windowed. This was a sudden change that happened overnight. At the time, the tearing was only present a couple of hours after startup, then got better and even disappeared after the system had been running for a while (the next day it reappeared though). There were days when it didn't appear at all but then it showed up again. Here is an example of what it looked like in slowmotion: https://youtu.be/qfiZDGTPgTk I tried switching GPUs (I am using a GTX 1080ti and I swapped it with a GTX970 I had lying around) and the result was the same. After some time, the tearing in games disappeared completely, however, I started noticing it in other programs and parts of the OS as well. Here is an example showing some tearing on certain parts of Premiere Pro: https://youtu.be/Q67wnMEpeQw - the selected area in the top right corner should have disappeared at once. And here is an example of a chrome context menu: https://youtu.be/RhwFp3rpQgU It also showed up in windows file explorer etc. 2 weeks ago I started having real problems with Adobe programs I use for work. 1) The program monitor (the part where you can see the video you're working on) in Premiere would sometimes turn gray and stay that way until I restarted the whole program. (I could still scrub the timeline and hear the audio when I pressed play) 2) Photoshop canvas would sometimes get "stuck" in a similar way: 3) Some parts of Premiere would sometimes turn black: Today, while rendering a video in Pr Pro, both of my monitors turned black for 30 seconds and I got an error message that the render failed: Also there are frequent black boxes appearing in windows, icons missing etc. (weird stuff): I also feel that the performance of the whole system has worsened. Some system animations are laggy, I get less FPS in games, photoshop crashes a lot etc. I hope I haven't left out any important issues I've been having and now let's get to the stuff I've already tried to troubleshoot this issue: - I've been chatting with NVidia support since the begining and they've come to the conclusion that they couldn't help me any further and our communication ended a couple of weeks ago - I've tried: - reinstalling the drivers (full reinstall with DDU uninstall) - trying out different hdmi/displayport cables - swapping the GPU for another one - trying out a different PCIE slot - the famous sfc/scannow crap - GPU STRESS TEST - didn't notice any issues with it (neither glitches nor crashes) - RAM memory test in windows - updating BIOS to the latest version - REINSTALLING WINDOWS completely SPECS & important stuff: - this issue started when I was on Windows 10 Pro 21H1 & I've updated the system multiple times since then - currently I am on Windows 11 Pro 21H2 (build 22000.194) - none of my components have been overclocked and the GPU has never been used for crypto mining etc (just normal gaming + adobe programs) - the temperature of the GPU didn't change much and the maximum temperature I've seen is 80°C. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz RAM: 32,0 GB HyperX 2666MHz DDR4 CL13 Predator GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X 11G (latest studio drivers, tried out gaming drivers as well) MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Aorus Z390 PRO (latest bios) PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 850W Gold Monitors: - BenQ PD2700U (4k, displayport, 60Hz, no G-SYNC) - Philips 276E8VJSB (4k, hdmi, 60Hz, no G-SYNC) What could be causing these issues? The warranty on most components is expiring very soon (in 1-2 months) and I'd like to find out what's wrong before it's too late. Can the motherboard be faulty? If so, I am super unlucky with them as it would be a second motherboard that died on me. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey so I have a Lenovo T2324dC monitor, i've been using it as a second screen for over a year and a half now and i've recently tried to switch from a VGA cable that's connected to the IO (running onboard graphics for it) to a brand new DP/HDMI cable (this time running into GTX 970's HDMI port), however every time i go to change the input on the monitor it automatically changes it back to VGA and displays "Power saving mode", Tried: Uninstalling and Reinstalling screen drivers Restarting PC Disconnecting VGA cable Changing power plan
