THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME! My previous config was--- CPU: Core i3-8100 8th Gen GPU: Gigabyte GT 1030 High Profile MoBo: AsRock B360M-HDV Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb 2400mhz PSU: Antec CSK 550w 80+ Bronze Storage: 1TB HDD The thing is my motherboard got damaged and thinking about getting a 10th gen i3 and mobo instead of an 8th gen mobo again. But all other components will be the same as above. I need your precious help considering the following points: 1. I play only and only Rainbow Six Siege. 2. I don't want to go for Ryzen at any cost. 3. Are the 2400mhz rams good for i3 10th gen? (not planning to buy rams budget pressure) 4. I know there will be a lot of gpu bottleneck but I can't help myself buying a new gpu so I want to stick to this one as I always play only R6. So will there be a hardware/major issue? 5. I also record gameplay with OBS but I'm not sure if I get i3-10100 or i3-10105F. If it is possible to record with "F" then I will get that cpu. 6. Or should I just get an 8th gen mobo?

I've recently upgraded from a 1060 3gb to a 1080ti. Massive difference! But I don't have the funds to upgrade my CPU, so I am stuck with a 10100 for now. Do you think that I should start using vsync to eliminate CPU bottleneck? Does that even make sense? I play mostly singleplayer games and my monitor is 75Hz@1080p

Hi all. Need help. My plan to convert my old dead laptop into desktop (htpc). I was browsing motherboard for my g2 socket mobile cpu. I have found https://m.alibaba.com/product/60714336672/IM-QM67-MS-9887-industrial-motherboard.html So I've noticed that the motherboard has no 24pin connector. Do i need the 24pin to powered the motherboard? Can even this motherboard to use as htpc. My cpu is i3-2350m.

WOW!!! So I bought an Intel Core i3-4130 which, has Intel HD 4400. Or does it? Intel HD 4400 specs on every site: GT2, 20 execution units, 160 cores, My Intel HD 4400 specs: GT1.5, 12 execution units, 96 cores. After reading a forum post, I found out that the desktop haswell iGPU is CUT IN HALF, and only laptops have the full HD 4400 with 20 execution units. This is not written anywhere on the internet that there's 2 versions of HD 4400. They specifically go out of their way to gimp the performance of PC integrated graphics. Even techpowerup lists the full 20 EU HD 4400 being available in the desktop i3's, and they don't have the cut version in their database. Intel itself doesn't list 2 versions of HD 4400! JUST WOW!!! DESKTOP HD 4400 IS SLOWER THAN DESKTOP HD 4000!!!!! Every Intel HD pre-Skylake is a scam one way or another!!! If I deep dive a sky lake I might find a scam in there too!

Because i have a "ton" of hdd lying around i wanted to build a "nas/storage" pc by using old parts that are flying around here at home but i still need a cpu (and ram) i came across a 10100 i3 on ebay but the seller sells it as defective claiming that the cpu is untested (looking at his profile he also sells another cpu also as untested). so should i go for it ? or to what should i pay attention to when buying a used cpu of ebay. any advice would be great. and just to note the pc is only for storage purpose for my actuall pc and maybe as a media server or something similar so buget cpu/ram is all that is needed. for everything else i have "old" spare parts already. also are 16gb too much of ram for such a system (at 43€ its on sale) ? (it will run win11/10 dualboot linux) is a cheaper F cpu better for such a purpose is i have a old gpu (gtx 670 i believe) or should i stick with integrated graphics because of power usage? i can only look for 10gen cpus because my spare mobo only supports 10gen (no bios update for 11gen) or should i go even lower to pentium/celeron 10gen ?

Budget (including currency): $175 Or 15K INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Whatever game i can play with it Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My current PC specs are Intel i5 - 3rd Gen Intel HD 2500 Integrated Graphics 4gb DDR3 RAM 1Tb HDD 200w Frontech PSU 1366 x 768 Resolution Monitor Have pretty much played every game that can run in the iGpu and have saved up enough to afford a decent upgrade. I understand that the machine is obsolete but i would like to play whatever i can with a GPU upgrade. I was planning to buy a used GTX 1650 or 1050ti and add another 4gb RAM stick for 8gb. I want to avoid buying a new psu as much as possible so that i can spend more on GPU. And if my budget permits add a SATA SSD probably. Don't really know how i should go about it, saw a few videos and planning the upgrade based on that. Would like to hear opinions from people who know this kind of stuff. Please don't roast me too much for my setup, i understand it's bad but not my fault for being born in a third world country

Budget (including currency): 850 EUR (900.88$) Country: Montenegro (In Eurozone, but not in EU yet) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Classic work (Excel, Illustrator, Word, …), Civilization 6, CS:GO, Crusader Kings 3, Forza Horizon 4/5, Kerbal Space Program 2, OW2, HUMANKIND Other details Now I want to build a new PC but maybe keep the Case and SSDs (SHOULD I?), IDKN about keeping the RAM. So I found 2 builds that I can get, both based around i3-12100F. I need the PC for normal work and gaming on the weekend, nothing insane just want 60+fps on 1080p with high settings. I mean my current PC can run almost every game on low-medium 1080p with stable 30+fps, but I think it's time for an upgrade. I currently have the following: CPU: i5-7500k GPU: Asus Strix 950Ti 2XOC MOBO: Gigabyte Gaming 3 H270 rev. 1.0 RAM: KINGSTON Fury DDR4 8GB 2400Mhz (X2) SSD: SAMSUNG EVO 850 250GB, KINGSTON A400 960GB PSU: 1000W IBM Server PSU I got from a friend CASE: Tempered glass and aluminium MOUSE: Razer Diamondback KEYBOARDS: Asus Strix Tactic Pro Cheery MX Brown, MS ELITE C521 HEADSETS: Razer Kraken V2, HyperX Cloud II Gunmetal, Logitech Artemis Spectrum G933 -------------------------------------- Websites I used to choose parts (I can order stuff online from ebay/amazon... only if it's under 75$ because over that I have to pay tax of 21%): https://www.multicom.me/ https://pc-gamer.me/ 2 combos I fashioned up that I like with prices

Hello! I currently am running a i3 and a 1050ti with 8gb of ddr4 ram and was wondering if I should upgrade my CPU or my graphics card first. I was trying to play escape from tarkov and the frames were a little low and choppy so I was wondering if there was a better way to fix my problem. I would like to keep my budget a little on the lower side but I can expand if I need too. Thanks!

so I currently have a system thats running an i3-3240 and has no gpu. My friend has agreed to me to sell me his rx480 for super cheap which he wasnt using to put into my cumputer. Would this create a big enough cpu bottleneck to experience any problems in game or enough to harm anything? Would I be able to play games at a playable framerate no problem? Or should i upgrade my cpu down the line. And if so what to?

My pc has started experiencing quite frequent crashes nowadays. On poking around I found that my CPU's temperature was about 60°c while idle.(it used to be about 40°c about 1-2 years earlier). Is this temperature normal and can this be in any way causing these crashes?

so i this 10 yr old desktop with an e2180(2core 2.00GHz) and it is always at 100%cpu usage even when i have just one chrome tab open. but my sister has a 1 yr old laptop with an i3-4030u(2 cores 1.9GHz) so why is it that although my e2180 has the same no. of cores and a higher clock speed, my desktop is much much slower?

How will an I3 3240 and a rx 480 8gb will perform in games like doom, fallot 4, assassin's creed, gta v... This is an old pc that I want to upgrade for my cousin. Also I play at 1080p 60hz. 8 gb ddr3 ram. I think he'll use the rx in future rigs with better cpu's. I can get the gtx 960/for 30-40$ more the gtx 1060 6gb. What do you say?

Hello everybody, I am building a pc over the summer, but I don't know what parts I should use. Should I use an intel i3-7350k with an amd radeon rx480, or should I use an intel i5-7500 with and Nividia GTX 1070?

My buddy asked if I could build him a new PC for his shop, Of course I said yes! It will be my first mini ITX build. His requirements - Small and compact - Under $600.00 (not including peripherals) - wall mountable (going inside a large tool box) Parts list -Luna Designs DNK-H in white (comes with cooler and PS) -Asus H110T -Intel i3-7100 -Kingston Hyper X 2133 8GB ram -Crucial MX300 525GB SSD -M.2 2230 WiFi/BT card I also ordered short cables since everything will be very close to each other. 1x 2 foot HDMI cable, 1x 2 foot power cable (provided one is euro spec) He will mainly be doing invoicing and browsing the internet with this... a bit overkill but he was tired of replacing his lap top every couples years, so I took advantage of his budget and got what I think would be more then enough for a long time. Let me know what you guys think. Also I'll be posting progress pictures as I go.

If I go for the G4560 I have the chance to buy a RX470 (currently on sale) which is a great combo for gaming. I play ranging from eSports games (LoL) to AAA/GPU demanding games. This all sounds pretty great but I've read that AVX isn't supported by the 7th Gen Pentiums which apparently plays a big part in rendering. If I went for the i3, I'll have to stick with a GTX 1050, not as good for gaming as the RX470 but it would kind of get the job done (would have to obviously lower the quality a lot). I would be rendering around 5-15 minute videos, but it all depends so max 30minutes. I've also read that AMD GPU's are great for edtiting/rendering due to OpenCL, which is also in Nvidia cards but not as evolved. Is there a big difference? I was waiting for Ryzen but sadly the R3, line of Ryzen that would interest me is only going to be released on the 2H and I've already got half of my parts laying around collecting dust and I don't have the ability to wait for half a year. This build would probably be upgraded in 5-6 years as a whole(GPU,RAM,STORAGE), the CPU in maybe 2 years, after two summers of part-times since I need to start saving up for college. Thanks in advance to whoever answers!

Which one? Acer Aspire with i3-7100u ($280) (better graphics, new, 6.5 hours of battery life) Acer Aspire with i5-6200u ($330) (better processor, refurbished, better I/O, Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C), 8 hours of battery life, lighter, M.2 expansion slot) Is the i5 laptop worth the extra $50?

Recently I was given 2GB of DDR3 Ram and an i3 3320 since my friend upgraded his memory and CPU in his computer. I was wondering if an i3 is still a solid CPU and that is it worth trying to go out and hunt for a LGA 1155 motherboard to put it into or is it just better off to just sell the CPU and be done with it.

Any suggestions for a £550ish purely gaming PC, in the UK? Looking to upgrade stuff reasonably soon, but I'd rather save now, and buy stuff later, as waiting longer for a pc will drive me crazy (I only have a chromebook and a phone) Any suggestions with decent performance and reliability?

I'm looking for a processor between a G4560 and an i5 6400 in both price and performance. I know I could get an i3, but at that point would buying the G4560 save more money and allow for more budget to other parts like the case, motherboard or power supply. I'd prefer Skylake, as I like the upgrade path, and again prefer Intel, but if the better performance to price is had elsewhere with a decent upgrade path I'm fine with that. I wish i could wait for zen, but I'm buying in around a month and don't want to wait longer for a hypothetical cpu lineup. What are my options??

so i wanna overclock my i3 6100 because i have a gtx 1060 and in some games the i3 is a pretty large bottleneck, i know i will have to flash my mobo bios to do that, but will i have to flash the bios back to the default latest version if i upgrade to a kaby lake processor?

i want to know if the old i5 2500k or maybe i5 3570 still a good choice to go with if i can get them for much cheaper compare to new 6th and 7th generation i3s adn i5s. i know for GPU you need good gpu something like 970 or 1060 for 1080p gaming but the intel cpu line is huge and i seen some benchmarks, some says the new i3s are even better than old i5 and some shows all of them are same with few fps difference, i3 6100 getting almost same fps as i5 6500?!? Really confused about the cpu as the price of used i5 2500/3570 is around £80 and the new i5 6500/7500 is around £180 with new i3s around £110 . i need best price to performance but also need something that can last for at least 2 to 3 years of normal gaming at 1080 . edit: its not for me and any info on xeon i heard some cheap xeon work great for gaming as well.

I have a old Toshiba A665 S6080 and I recently had it cleaned inside new thermal paste etc. .I was just wondering if my CPU and internal temps we're ok because they was reaching up to 50 degrees Celsius inside and the CPU running at 70 degrees Celsius which I'm surprised that my PC didn't die because of the temps inside. I was just wondering if there was a expert out there that can tell me the temp is safe, So I don't have to worry.

I'm getting a new pc (with lower specs than my current pc) for private use in my bedroom. The CPU will be a huge downgrade, it's going from my current Core i7-2600k to a Pentium G4560. I was wondering if I could simulate the 2 cores, 4 threads 3.5 Ghz on my i7. I DON'T have an overclockable motherboard (yes, that's weird because I have an unlocked CPU) but can I simulate the performance with 3rd party programs? I want to test the performance of a simulated G4560. There aren't many (trustworthy) benchmarks of the G4560 and I just want to see how much performance I could get out of it. Thanks in advance.
