Dear Sir / Madam, I'm trying to dual boot my pc with mac os high sierra 10.13 and windows 10. I managed to install mac os on a seperate drive. The issue I then ran into was not being able to boot without my mac install usb. I fixed this by copying the entire efi folder and replacing it with the efi folder on my boot drive. So now my pc can boot on it's own into mac os. The next issue is installing gpu drivers. I ran into many issues. One of them being getting a black screen. I tried to fix this using the following tutorial: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/fix-for-failure-nvidia-web-driver-on-high-sierra-black-screen-panics.234390/ The thing is after messing with my RT-variables my pc cannot boot. It renders a bunch of text to the screen on boot and then the last line is attempting to reboot (see attachment). Does anyone have any idea? I tried to get some answers on tonymac but my post has been there for 2 weeks without any replies (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/reboot-while-booting-after-installing-gpu-drivers.269592/) Thank you in advance. My pc specs: * i7 8700k * MSI z370 gaming m5 * gtx 1080 ti

Alright this is a two part question. So first Does anybody know of a software that would update any ISO's you have on a removable drive so they don't get outdated. Been running into this lately where i will have an iso for example ubuntu 17.x.x on my external hdd and i need to use it only to realize there is a 19.x.x out in the wild. Second part is does anybody know where i can either get a mac os iso or a Virtual box already set up. i'm wanting to get it so i can play around with mac and start to understand it better before i get out of college and go into the education sector. Any Help would Be appreciated.

Hey I am looking to build a budget computer to load MacOS onto. This is the first time i've done this. My budget is £300 (but the lower the better, i'm a student i don't have money lol), and i based this build loosely around Snazzy Labs's $350 hackintosh. i already have a 500gb hard drive which i will use too Not gonna be using it for gaming (my windows rig is for that), but maybe some very light video and photo editing, plus casual browsing etc. What do you think? What's good, and what should i change? Okay so I am building a PC for my girlfriend who will be working for Disney productions next this January. She edits and stores a lot of video primarily using the adobe suite and mass storage respectively. She using only Mac OS and will not use Windows to save her own life. I did a little searching around and tried to find a mini ITX board that supported Mac OS X and according to a few users on reddit this board works. I just want to make sure that before all of this is purchased that this will run the latest version of Mac OS X (Mojave) with the board and other parts I've chosen. And also these parts were chosen with video editing and rendering in mind so if there are also any changes any of you would make for a better editing experience then please leave them so long as the total budget is under $2000 after tax. These are the parts, anyone who knows anything about Mac compatibility please let me know if these parts will run it, thanks! Hello, I hope someone reading this might be able to steer me in the right direction of fixing my current issue. Thanks in advance, too! I have a Hackintosh with a GeForce GTX 680, which runs awesome and very fast on Steam Games. Recently, I've decided to install a boot of Win 10 - It's all running well - EXCEPT! The steam games are VERY VERY VERY Laggy, choppy, and so slow. Even the same games I've played on the mac. Now, I've already installed the web drivers for NVIDIA & CUDA. I'm just not sure what else to try - it's as if the games aren't running off my graphics card. Which is strange, because my GeForce Experience application says it's running.. ? Strange! Any bright ideas out there?

I am the proud owner of a dual-boot MacOS and Windows system, and I recently got a new monitor. It's a Lenovo Y27G, and even though it has been panned as having horrible value, I bought it because the price dropped to half MSRP. Anyway, it's got all the bells and whistles. Among them is a 3-port USB 3.0 hub. Sick, right? Never had one on a monitor, so I was excited. I plugged my mouse, keyboard, and webcam into it and was ready to rock n' roll. I said, "Let's gooooo!" and fired her up, only to crash 20 seconds after boot. Boo. I think I saw something about MacOS having a hard cap of USB ports, but FR? a crash? If there's any way I can fix this, I'd love to be able to do so. It works just fine in Windows, so it's software, and it's MacOS's fault. EDIT: I forgot to attach the crash report. It's attached now. Also, the hub crashed my system only when it's plugged in during startup, with or without devices connected to it. MacOS USB Hub Crash Report.rtf EDIT 2: Apparently it was the USB port it was plugged into. MacOS must have beef with USB 3.1. The 3.0 port works fine. Case closed, ig. lol I have no idea why though. Perhaps someone could shed some light...

PC laptop recommendation as Hackintosh?
NewLifestyle posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Can somebody give me a good recommendation for a PC laptop that I want to turn into a dual-boot Hackintosh? I've been looking around, and the best one so far is the Swift 3 SF315-52G-56M7 (as it has a dedicated Nvidia MX150 2 GB video card). I know that I will have to swap out the wireless adapter with a BCM94360CS2 to make the wireless & BT 4.0 work OOB. I want to spend no more than $1K for the laptop (plus the "extras", like another SSD for Mac OS X & an additional 8 GB DDR4 RAM). Any other recommendations? -

Hey Guys, Posting on this forum after 3 years now, So I'm really excited, I got into college and got a Dell Inspiron 15 7577. It's got an i7-7700HQ and a GTX 1050Ti with 16GB RAM. So I been using MacBook Pro before this and I love it more than windows 10 but my college work requires windows as it has windows exclusive applications and also I intend to do some gaming as well. But I dont want to leave macOS. So I was hoping to have a separate partition with macOS too. My system in 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD setup. ( I intend to have a partition of 300GB reserved for that). So I was hoping this forum could guide me through all the pros, cons and the procedure to go ahead with this. Also please suggest reliable sites.

I wanted to push watercooling to the most. Silent. Level. possible. While gaming and also for working. Quite a challenge and a lot to learn. Thoughts on water-cooling: It always depends on the use-case if water-cooling is more silent than air-cooling. My personal experience: Air-cooling is more silent in idle load scenarios (when you just do some easy tasks like browsing or office) Water-cooling is more silent for constant high load (e.g. when you are gaming/working for long times) Tricks to get the water-cooling as silent as possible: Configure the BIOS to turn off the radiator-fans in Idle load scenarios. That leaves only the pump running. Undervolt the pump (to e.g. constant 7V). This works best, if you can plug the pump into a fan or pump header and assign a constant (lower that 100%) speed to it in the BIOS. If your BIOS does not allow that, you could use a resistor-adaptor to slow it down. This project started before my 26 PowerMac G5 Case Modding Project

I was thinking of building a hackingtosh, but I know too little about what hardware that is supported and what is not? And what would I miss out on in a hackintosh instead of just buying an original Mac? I’ve understood I Would still be able to use iMessage and etc with a hackintosh. I already have a MacBook to download the IOS from.

So, I am officially crazy... I bought 26 Powermacs (G5) And I modded them ALL They are now ready for ATX and mATX Mainboards… But why 26? Did I mention I was crazy?! (And they were only sold together…) I modded G5 Cases before – They kind of became my passion. This time I wanted everything to be perfect: - Keep as much of the original design as possible - Cut as less as possible - Since it is impossible to find a G5 Case without dents and scratches, I wanted to paint them, freshly. I am done now and it is time to share my experiences: It was a rough 6 months from start to finish. The project kept me busy during all of the winter. I worked every weekend on it, till late. I need to apologize… …to my family for occupying their workshop, guest rooms and garages …to my friends for neglecting them during the last months …to the dogs and the cat for waking them up from their afternoon nap every now and then (because of the metalwork-noise). I hope to be able and show everybody that it was worth it - And that someone out there is appreciating the work, as well. Back me up, guys - Spread the love :-) I believe in Apples high quality and the unique design of Sir Jony Ive My mods include a preinstalled power supply (and even watercooling on some) Countless hours of work and high-quality components & tools were used Of course, you can come and have a look if you are near the South of Germany (or the North of Switzerland).
