I have a zotac gtx 1060 3gb mini and i'm using an aftermarket cooler "arctic accelero mono plus" which is very good but it comes with vram heatsinks which i have to put on the 6 vr heatsinks..........i cant stick them with the provided thermal adhesive since its permanent and the gc cant be sent for warranty if theres an issue(2 yrs warranty),so i am using thermal pads and on top of it the vr heatsinks(thermalpads are both side sticky) since thermal pads are easily removable, using a silicone thermal pad of 3.2 w/m-K rating and not the arctic thermal pads which are very costly in my country(India) but have 6 w/m-K rating.........just wanted to know if the thermal pad and vr heatsink combo works since we can only monitor the gpu core temps and not the vram temps.......my gpu temps went down like 20 degree C in heavy load so this cooler is very good although i would recommend anyone to buy "arctic atwin turbo 2" which is almost of the same price since the mono plus does not cover the vrams as a result we have to put the separate vram heatsinks while the twin turbo covers the heatsinks (although its rated for gtx 1070 and above) which reduces extra hassel I have also overclocked my gpu using "firestorm" zotac software with GPU clock : +225Mhz and memory : +800Mhz and i am trying to boost the voltage to 70 percent which it shows on the app but does not show on the unigen benchmark,it just shows "OV : 0V",also after saving the profile i restart my system and load the profile and it shows gpu voltage set to 0 even though i saved it to 70 percent.............i tried other apps like MSI afterburner,EVGA precision OC which save the profile correctly but still dont show the "extra" voltage in unigen benchmark ................am i missing something,is there a voltage monitoring app? please help.... Also i have set the FCLK frequency to 1000 in my uefi menu,by default its 800, i want to know what the BCLK frequency does ,how much can we overclock it? is it worth it? I am attaching a photo of my gpu which shows a black strip (heatsinks for power connectors) to the left of the cooler which is factory attached to it and under it lays the power connectors which produce a good amount of heat, but the strip is not removable,it slides a bit if i try to move it but i dont want to risk removing the power connectors below, mayb it is attached with some kind of thermal adhesive........i want to attach the heatsinks provided by the "arctic mono plus" cooler which i bought coz they are pretty good....any help regarding if i can remove it and attach my heatsinks...? Sorry for the long post but i decided to write all my problems in this post instead of differnet posts......

I just got an email from NVIDIA saying that I could buy a 1060. But I'm really on the fence about it. I know they have projected GPU prices to continue to rise throughout the year. Also, the rumors of a new GPUs from NVIDIA aswell. So what I'm asking is should I just wait and hope stock comes back at a lower price or just buy now?

Hi, the new gtx 1060 of my friend is performing worse then my gtx 970. He also told me he sometimes has frame drops for a split second. I have some tests attached. Installed driver is 391.01.

So I'll be buying a laptop for Uni and I set my mind on the Alienware 15 because it has all I need and it looks awesome. Of course I'll be doing some gaming on it but as most people I have a budget restriction so I was wondering what you guys would do: - GTX 1060 with a 120 Hz panel: it would be my first time ever gaming on a 120 Hz panel, never seen one before and from what I've heard it's really cool to game on - GTX 1070 with a 60 Hz panel: I think it would be more futureproof for me as I need to use this laptop for 5 years+ and I want to be able to game a decent amount on it. Not the most graphically demanding games at ultra settings but games like rocket league at high settings with 60fps+ Curious to hear what you guys think

Hi everyone! I recently bought a brand new gtx 1060 from MSI. 6GB with the single fan. This gpu had the Micron Memory. So, it isn't making as much as I thought on NICEHASH. Anyway to fix this or should I just sell it?

Hi, just a quick question, I couldn't find an answer that's exactly like my setup so here I go Would my ASUS DUAL GTX1060 3GB be able to run 2 monitors? One being 24" 60hz, and the other 27" 144hz Curved? Thank you in advance for those who will respond to my question

Hi Guys, Currently, my rig comprises of - i7 3770 / 16gb Ram ddr3/ Gtx 1060 6GB Zotac/ Intel DH61WW Motherboard. I am gaming on a 27inch Samsung Monitor at 1080p resolution. I was wondering with the current specifications, can I expect to game at 1440p resolution at high settings, expecting around 60 fps or more. And if it is not possible to achieve by replacing any of the components of my current built (except graphics card), can I expect a performance improvement in 1440p. Thank You for your suggestions and opinions in adavance.

So I’m fairly lost here I must say. My friend got an upgrade kit for his pc. Ryzen 5 1600X Asus Prime B350 8GB of DDR 4 RAM He already had a strixx GTX 1060 6G in his ‘old’ pc. As I applied the new cpu to the motherboard, added some thermal paste, applied the cooler etc and turned on the PC I noticed it was blank. I was currently at his place so I took the whole lot home. At home, thinking it’d be the graphics card, I switched my Asus Strixx GTX970 out of my build and plugged it in. Immediately the pc turned on and bios popped up. Then I decided to test his GTX 1060 on my build. Bios popped up and no weird things happened. Switching the 1060 back in resulted in no screen whatsoever. Is this related to the PSU? It is a 600 watt supply and I’m using a 550 watts on my 4790k build. Do you guys have any idea why my 970 works but the 1060 fails to do anything?

Hey guys. 1. I finally have some budget to buy/build a new PC, but with spiking GPU & RAM prices, and my Limited Budget I can't get a Desktop build with anything more than a with 1050Ti with a 8700K, which I would like to have for productivity purposes (if those high freq 6 cores help with programming and light simulations) as well as 1080p gaming, but I would like to have AT LEAST a 1060 or higher as many of the TW3, Skyrim SSE & FO4 mods eat away VRAM and generally can't keep up, as far as I Know. 2. My budget is about 2000 USD (includes Monitor and all other peripherals), which, with HEAVY import taxes in my country, is not enough to buy a 1060 And they don't have any Prebuild with 8700K + 1060, at least not within the budget. 3.Anything close to a 1060 I can get are, 7700HQ ( Not 8700HQ ) laptops with a GTX 1060 like, Asus ROG GL702VM, Asus ROG GL503VM, Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-572 , MSI GE63VR 7RE Raider. So, finally, Should I one of these laptops? or Should I build a desktop with a 1050Ti? or Should I wait til Computex 2018 ends to see if anything changes in pricing? Thanks for reading all the way.

Hey guys, I've been building systems for a while and been selling them on eBay, I'm generally well experienced with builds as a result. I've had this 1060 since December and I've noticed that I'm generally getting lower frames in games and most of my performance tests are indicating lower than average scores, is it possible that there's something wrong with my card? I have the latest Nvidia drivers (version 390.77 at the time of this post), the airflow in the PC is good and the highest temperature I've ever had recorded with this air cooled card is 75 degrees celsius (around 170 Fahrenheit). If it's possible could any of you enlighten me as to what can be done about the performance, I'm at my wits end. Other details of my system: UserBenchmarks: Game 64%, Desk 72%, Work 48% CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 - 76.6% GPU: Zotac Mini Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB - 66.1% SSD: OCZ ARC 100 480GB - 85.8% HDD: HGST Travelstar 7K1000 2.5" 1TB - 62.1% HDD: Seagate FireCuda SSHD 2TB (2016) - 71.7% RAM: DDR4 2400 16GB - 70.4% MBD: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H

I've been looking into watercooling my graphics card with a full waterblock but all I can find are universal gpu covers but I'm concerned about the other parts of my graphics card. If you know any waterblock covers or can find one can you link it or if I have to use a universal gpu cover how would I go about cooling the other parts of the card

Is it worth mining on single GPU? I don't know how to calculate my estimated bills, I mine about 16 hours everyday and just started 1 day ago. I just don't want to pay too much for bills.

I have an Asus GTX 1060 Dual Series 3Gb GPU, I am seeing abnormally high temps while just using the internet, youtube and the like. The reason being is that my GPU fans are not spinning above 45*C. Even sometimes after it goes from idling to 48-50* C they will not spin up. They only consistently spin up above 52-ish degrees. Any ideas as to why? and how I could possibly get them to spin all the time?

Ok ill start this off by listing my rig. I have a Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ board. Fx 8320 cpu. 16gb ddr3 1600mhz Kingston Hyperx ram. Gtx 1060 6gb Evga Sc gaming gpu. Corsair 750 power supply. Hyper 212 cooler. Ok i had my system in a Antec 300 case for years. I recently upgrade and put my gear into a Phantecs P400 case with a glass side. In this case i have every fan slot filled and it includes a 140mm Noctua 3000 rpm front case fan, 1400 rpm 140mm antec case fan.. 1x 120mm phanteks exhaust 1400rpm fan. 1x noctua 120mm 2000 rpm top exhaust fan. 140 antec 1400rpm exhaust fan. When i transfered my system all of the sudden MSI afterburner started reporting the GPU going up to 100 + degrees on a regular basis when gaming. Before in my antec 300 the highest ive ever seen it went to 91 degreees and that was summer time overlclocking heat. ; Its currently sitting at 114 degrees, the Gpu is at 100% and not throttling at all. The power is at 75%. I have the fan speed up to 100% trying to improve its cooling. The Gpu is even -400 mhz core clock because im mining right now. So its 1506mhz and 3855mhz memory. I have the temp limit of 83 degrees applie and the core voltage is stock with a power limit of 100% Prior to changing cases i never got this sort of reading. I find it odd that it reads 114 degrees but its not throttling at all. The boost and base speeds never dip more than 1% here and there. Is there a possibility that its really not running that hot? I know this is the temp that the GPU is reading under its heat sink but shouldnt its pci board on the back be really warm to the touch as well? Well its not. it feels the same as the rest of my pc inside. I can get a few degrees to come off the total if i pull the front panel off. I also have unhooked one air intake fan because i know my noctua fan pulls in air at like 140 cfm. So i figured i might have too much air coming in. It helped a good bit. Ive seen it as high as 129 supposidly. So i have no idea what to do. Im about to uninstall and reinstall my gpu to see if their is some sort of glitch. maybe uninstall MSI as well. I find it odd that this happend after i swapped cases. It could be a damage temp sensor but i dont get why its not throttling at all

My PC Consists of a Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 1060 6GB, a Core i5 7600 and a 3TB Barracuda Hard Drive. When i first built my PC it held CS:GO on a stable 300-400 FPS. Over about six months, it eventually dropped to a 250-300 Average. I was confused of the drop but it was still very high and no one offered many answers on how to prolong the quality of my card. Currently on 4:3 Low settings it is achieving a whopping (Sarcasm) 150 Average. This is beyond ridiculous. I understand CS:GO Isn't exactly a leader on game optimisation but it has exactly gotten worse, i have changed nothing. Is there anything at all i can do to fix this. I want my 400 FPS Back. PLEASE HELP <3

Yeah so bf1 is kind of trash for me rn... I’m able to comfortably play battlefront 2 perfectly fine without any lag on my pc but when it comes to battlefield 1 it’s like it just doesn’t care. Playing on medium (depending on which map) I get around 40-55 FPS I’m I’m lucky 60 for a couple of seconds... but in battlefront two on ultra I can get a stable 70 FPS on ultra? The game for me right now is unplayable because of this and I feel like I even got a better performance out of my old 770 gpu... anyone got a good explaination to why this is happening? Anything I can do to fix it since battlefront 2 has the same requirements but run A LOT better. specs: i5-2500k @4.3Ghz Asus GTX 1060 6GB Dual OC 8GB DRAM GA-P67A-D3-B3 motherboard 250GB ssd 2TB HDD

So I'm planning on getting a build together for my birthday in February, and I wanted to see if anyone here could help me budget all of this? my Max Budget is 1300 USD, but I'd prefer it to be down to 1200 USD https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sRKpd6

I just took the leap from laptop to desktop, but never thought of that I might be bottlenecking in this build. It's something that's kind of unfamiliar to me. The specs of my new computer is: Corsair CX750M, 750W PSU Intel Core i5-7600 Kaby Lake Prosessor Stock CPU cooler. ASUS Prime B250M-Plus BULK, Socket-1151 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz 16GB (2x8GB) Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Corsair Forceseries LE200 240GB 2,5" Is there something I should upgrade? I'm already planning on a 2TB HDD for storage, but performance wise, what would be the best "next step".

Hey guys, can i you give me and advice ? i have a GTX1060 but my CPU is a AMD FX-6300, long story short i upgrade my GPU but never felt the effect of not upgrading my CPU, now with this new GPU i'm struggling with Bottleneck, i don't have that much money but i want to upgrade my CPU ( And MOBO if needed) all i ever see ppl talking about CPU is intel 7700K or Ryzen 7 and I9 an things like that, but i think that it might be a better and cheap CPU to use, even if i need to overclocking (as long as i don't have to buy a LNO kit or a Watercooler loop and use Nasa super secret coolant that cost US$ 99999999999999 per OZ). So any idea is welcome, even xenon CPUs if you think it would work for gaming and could be cheaper.
