So I recently had a issue with Gta before already and my cpu was thermal throttling so I bought a new cooler and now it runs cool when playing the game around 60C which is good enough to me. Anyways now I have an issue where my game will drop to around 30 fps and stay there or maybe even less randomly. So i turned down my settings and it still happens but for what ever reason when I window out it fixes it, or maybe even delays it. And even If i do have a fix like that I still want to know what is going on with my game because it worries me that I've seen this before with PUBG and I never really had issues before. My Specs: CPU: Intel i7-4790K @4.00GHz Ram: 16GB Cosair cmz16gx3m2a1600c10 dual channel memory DDR3 16mhz GPU: Geforce GTX 970 Founders, Reference Edition PS: I looked at how much ram was used while playing Gta and it was around 10.5 GB with the desktop my normal stuff open like steam discord and all that other stuff. This is my first topic on here because I feel I will find more helpful people to talk to then the steam community.

Hi I have been having low FPS when playing GTA V (50 FPS, high settings) when using my gtx 1070 and i5 7400. I noticed that my CPU is always at 100% and my GPU never goes over 1% usage. What can I do to fix this?

So, about 6 months ago I bought GTA V off CD-Keys and activated it on the Rockstar website. Just a week or 2 ago I decided to do a fresh install of windows and when I went to download GTA V again, the download like was gone on Rockstar. When I looked it up I found an article on Rockstar's website saying that I can redownload it because its attached to my Social Club but I have had no luck finding a download link. Is there anyway that I can redownload GTA V? Any replies are appreciated..

Hi guys, I used to play gta all the time but I had woken up one day to find that my game was playing at 16 to 27 FPS, when honestly i know my pc can do some much better (see specs below) CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 MB: MSI x370 gaming pro carbon GPU: Gigabyte 1070 ti 8GB RAM: Corsair vengeance pro 16GB 3000Mhz PSU: Silverstone E-T650B 650W Storage: SSHD 2TB Overheating has never been a problem and isn't so either right now, I've tried reinstalling drivers & reinstalling the game itself. and it comes to no avail even changing the graphic settings do absolutely nothing. The only thing that changes it is the resolution which i can only get 60FPS when playing in 800x600... Gta is only using 40-45% of ram, usually 11% of my cpu & 10-40% of my gpu. As im still fairly new to computes this is very annoying for me as im still trying to learn...i've tried looking on youtube and other places for an answer but and can honestly find solution. forgot to mention that this is the only game it happens to, - Thank you

Hi there I have a Win10 system that I game on mostly GTA V and I use OBS for recording sessions that I play. When I had one monitor I would alt+tab between OBS and GTA but I didnt want to do that anymore so I got a matching ASUS VG278Q monitor. Now that I have 2 monitors alt tabbing isnt working the way I think it should I dont know. When I alt tab to get to OBS on my second screen GTA mutes and you dont see anything happenig although the game is still runnig if I alt tab back to the first monitor. I dont want it to do that. I want to be able to monitor my gaming session on OBS on the right hand screen. Ive tried different modes Fullscreen, Boderless window, and nothing has helped, Please help me solve this problem thanks, System Specs Radeon Software Version - 19.9.2 Radeon Software Edition - Adrenalin 2019 Graphics Chipset - Radeon RX 590 Series Memory Size - 8192 MB Memory Type - GDDR5 Core Clock - 1560 MHz Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit) System Memory - 16 GB CPU Type - AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor

CPU clocks drops, causing low frame rates
Segerstad posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi! My troubleshooting skills are fairly limited, so i'm asking you guys with this one. Basically this summer i got a new laptop, mostly for school but i also looked for something that i could play some games on from time to time. I ended up with the Lenovo Yoga 730 which features an i7-8565U, a gtx1050 and 16bg ram. Initially i worried that the 1050 wouldn't be able to deliver top performance, but that has not been the case, it is working fine. For me the processor has been acting weird and i don't know why. I've been noticing this in GTA V. The game runs extremely smooth with 60 fps and everything. But then, all of a sudden i get theese random occurring fps drops for maybe 2-3 seconds with 10-15fps, and then it continues running at 60fps again until the drop happens again. I thought it had something to do with the graphics card, but as it turns out everything looks normal. So i started to monitor my cpu and saw that the cpu clocks are acting weird when the lag spikes happen, they basically just drop and then goes back up to normal (see attached image). I think this is the source of my problem, but i might be wrong, i'm not an expert. Maybe it's just the bad optimisation of GTA haha. But do any of you guys know what is causing this, i have searched on the internet but i have not found a solution. Any help is appreciated, thanks -
System Specs: Motherboard: Asrock z270 killer sli Processor i7 7700 non-k with hyper 212 evo black edition dual fan Graphics card EVGA 1070 SC black edition Ram Teamforce Delta RGB 2x8GB 3000MHz 800watt PSU M.2 500GB SSD boot drive M.2 2TB SSD main storage The problem started when I started playing GTA5 online. I was getting a max of 50fps on min graphics and max graphics. (V-sync always off) I installed GPU-Z CPU-Z HWM monitor Furmark userbenchmark and 3DMark I kept HWM cpu-z and gpu-z open on a second monitor and got back in GTA. It was reporting a 50% GPU usage and around 60% on the highest thread in the cpu. Both were far off ther power and thermal limits. Using a stress test however would put them to 100%. In task manager, it was saying GTA was using GPU 0-Copy I ran user benchmark. cpu and gpu where slightly below avertage, but RAM came out as a disaster. Quick reserch and it seemed I didn't have XMP enebled. I changed it from auto to the preset 3000MHZ xmp profile, but it wouldn't boot. After reducing (I forgot what It was 4 letters starting with F) from 800Mhz to 400Mhz, I could boot up. But the processor wouldn't get past 3.5Ghz. Back in bios I increased BLCK to max. and I had 4Ghz. Userbenchmark ran wonderfully. But the problems where only about to start. Everything windows related was lagging, taskbar, opening windows, start menu, youtube was hardly playable. So I reset everything back to normal. I then got the evga precition x1 and overclocked gpu a bit, and after changing some gta settings I got 80 FPS, but still neither the CPU or the GPU where close to being maxed out. Does anyone know what is the problem? where is the bottle neck? https://www.3dmark.com/spy/10331635 https://www.3dmark.com/fs/21631908 Thanks a lot in advance to those that help.

My specs are: i5-9400f: mohterboard asus rog strix b360-F gaming RTX 2070 SUPER rog strix advanced edition 16gb 3200mhz ram 1tb M.2 SSD I get around 70-140 Fps in story mode but in GTA ONLINE i get around 60-70 while being in the city and 30-50 when driving, is anyone having the same issue and can someone please tell me how to fix this

Hello, so i recently went from windows 10 n *something* (forgot the correct name) to windows 10 pro, and now i can't seem to get an option for a higher refreshrate in my games. I have a GTX 1080 and i overclocked my monitor to 76hz with nvidia control panel, it says its overclocked but there is no option to go to targeted refresh rate in any of the games *gonna add some screenshots*. I already reinstalled my drivers, also tried *Custom Installation-clean install* for drivers but nothing helped. At this point idk what else to do any ideas?

I came across some random crashing while playing GTA online and BF1 multiplayer (especially when I on a good round lol). Game files are installed in a tirered drive created by storemi. I think I heard from somewhere that it is a known issue on storemi but I failed to Google similar case. My PC : ASUS prime x470 pro R5 1600 on stock cooler (with a slight OC to 3.71ghz) 16Gb DDR4 3000 (running 3200) 256G NVME drive (system) GTX1070 (previously R9 290, game crushed on both card) Tiered storage: Slow: 1T 2.5' HDD Fast: 250gb sata SSD So far I had tried 1. Tire drive with SSD and HDD mode, with or without 2g ram cache 2. Run CPU on stock clock with ram on xmp 3. Verifies game file But didn't seems to resolve the issue, does anyone came across the same problem?

RIG SPECS: - AMD A10 Black Edition 4.10Ghz - 8GB Ram - GTX 1070 Palit Version - Windows 10 OS (latest version) - Nvidia Driver (latest version) - Approx. 2 Year Old PC So a year ago, my PC used to run GTA V on nearly the highest of settings fine, and it would load a bit when I travel by car really fast. Fast forward to today, I reinstalled GTA V fresh from steam, now here's what happens: - Every time I drive in the city, my computer freezes and requires a hard reset just to function properly again. (lowest settings enabled) - When I walk around however and stay in the immediate vicinity, I get upwards of 62-74FPS. (HIGHEST settings enabled) - When I try to run a benchmark test, no matter what, it freezes after the Vinewood sign test. (lowest & highest settings enabled) PS: I don't know if its related but I can run Rainbow 6 Siege on the absolute highest settings with 67-82FPS EXCEPT on textures which I can only keep on high, anything higher and when I enter a lobby then load the match, I just crash. Any advice other than "upgrade the [insert hardware here]", again because it used to run fine, and the rig is only 2 years old. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I recently bought I PS4 controller to use on my pc. It does not work in GTAV, I can launch the game fine, but it looks like its "switching" viewing angles really fast, this makes the game unplayable. If I run DS4Winows it works just fine, but I dont want to use it, as Steam home streaming (I use a Steam Link for this) doesn't support this. It works fine in Call Of Duty: World War 2, Rocket League and PUBG. How can I fix this either In-game or trough Steam?

Hello, I want to know if it's possible to play GTAV with a DS4 controller without a keymapper like DS4Windows. I want to play using Steam Link, using a keymapper isnt possible then. Anyone know how to? Thanks.

Hello, If I connect a Ps4 controller to my Steam Link using Bluetooth or USB and launch gtav, the game loads fine but in game, online and story mode it will glitch. It looks like its switching viewing angles very fast. If I press 'options' on the controller and open settings, I see the mouse moving around very fast. As soon as I unplug the controller it works just fine. Would anyone know a solution? Thanks

Hi guys, I have a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB and I just updated it BIOS. But now I have really poor performance after the update. In GTA V I have around 25 fps on very high settings (before the update: around 125), F1 2017 now 27 fps (before: 135 fps) I downgraded the BIOS with nvflash64 to an older version but the performance haven't improved after that. I already reinstalled windows to eliminate a drivers problem. What can I do? Some specs: i7 8700k, Gigabyte Aorus 5 Z370, 16 GB ram, 250 gb SSD, Corsair 750 W

Okay here's what's going on, I tried launching GTA5 through steam and it fails to load social club, giving me error code 202. The reason why I'm posting here is because I can't login on the rockstar site either. The login pop-up just freezes and never loads. I've tried disabling adblock but that doesn't work. This way I can't submit a ticket about the error code problem and I really feel like some gta lately. Can anyone help me?
