Edit: This is proven to work and you should enable these commands by default even if you might not have any problems at the moment. This helped me to get rid of micro stuttering in GTA 5 on Windows 10 so I thought I should share it. 1. Run cmd as administrator 2. Type (bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes) 3. Profit? I don't know if many people knew about this but hopefully it helps you guys out.

Hey guys, I have had an ongoing issue with GTA V since release. I have been trying to sort it out with Rockstar but they have given up after a month with a ticket So maybe someone on here could chuck us a hand and see what is actually happening... I have managed to get an on screen display for GTA V on of my GPU usage, RAM usage, CPU usage and all the speeds etc. And my problem is that nothing is maxed out most of the stuff is around 50% like RAM and CPU but the GPU is about 34% usage with only 1066MB of VRAM getting used the highest I have seen the GPU usage go up to about 42% in game. And yet it is lagging??? Is there something limiting my system for the game or something because I would of thought that having used half the VRAM and most of my components are near 50% and also on MINIMUM GRAPHICS that it should not lag no way.. Also I will list some screenshots of my settings and fps. BTW temps are all fine. It only happens with this game my system is fine with any other game help please???

Hello guys, i have a problem with GTA Online. A while ago i installed ScripHookV for singleplayer and i found it to be quite fun, so a few days ago i tried to do some more moding (i'm very new to the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race ) this time i installed the no water mod, i used OpenIV to replace the water.xml file, and everytime i swiched betwen single- and multiplayer i replaced that file, but suddenly with the correct water.xml file i logged into GTA Online, and it said "you have been banned from Grand Theft Auto Online, return to Grand Theft Auto V" and went into singleplayer were it said that i was unbanned again the 3rd of October. That made me wonder if there is a way for me to check that i am running the vanilla version? Because i really don't wan't to be banned a second time. Thanks in advance. BTW i'm running the non-steam version.

So I have this thing when I play GTA V the textures seem to load really slow, as you get closer you can see the texture loading layer by layer, often with a mesh style. This leads to ugly edges etc. which get really annoying for my brain after only like 30 minutes.. I have two friends, one have the same problem as me, but with nvidia GPU, the other one's game looks perfect, no ugly stuff or such, he has AMD as me. I run 15.7.1 Drivers and Windows 10 (had this problem with 8.1 too) and my friends run the latest drivers for their GPUs aswell. I thought it might be a slow harddrive, but the guy which is fine for runs an old PC with and old slow harddrive. I tried using his exact graphics settings but still have the issue. It really bothers me it looks so bad when it can look so good! Any suggestions? (Did like 2 reinstalls) and now im doing another as gta crashes and gives me some error message and advise me to reinstall..

CPU: 6700K@4.2 Ghz GPU: 980 Ti @ 1459MHz / 7800MHz RAM: 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz Res: 1920x1080 native / 3840x2160 DSR Graphic Settings : Max, MSAAx4 / Max (grass quality: very high), no AA Lowest FPS: ~60 FPS / ~40 FPS* *Quick test, rough numbers I think DSR 4K without AA looks better than 1080p with MSAAx4 but I lose ~20 FPS . The screen I play on is a 1080p 144 Hz monitor and the other connected display which I use for multitasking is 1050p 60 Hz . Tested online among the grassy hills north of the city, highway along the coast and inside the city. Will do more thorough tests later with only my gaming screen connected. Anyone got some tips to optimize performance without losing too much eye candy?

So my GTA V looks really bad, no matter what settings I try I have this problem where textures at distance looks pixelated, sometimes lampposts looks like triangles going up, and cars are really bad aswell with the textures like flickering and it doesnt look like its solid. Ive tried Normal, High, testing out with FXAA, MSAA etc. My guess was the lack of MSAA (I have low specs) but even with 4x MSAA it looks the same. I didnt have this issue when I started playing the game, it came later. And I run 15.7 Drivers on my 260X

Hey guys, yesterday and the day before yesterday I experienced very strange things: on thursday, I played gta v with internet connection and had sometimes lag issues and stuttering and yesterday, I played gta v without internet connection and then it was all the time smooth and stable frametimes. Did anyone else noticed this? Also i don't need that much msaa to have nice results without internet.

I have a really old CPU (AMD Athlon X2 250) and only 4Gb of RAM and I have decided to (finally) upgrade. *Note: I don't upgrade often (got this computer around 5 years ago) My new parts: - MSI Z97 Gaming 5 - Intel i7 4790K - Goodram DDR3 8GB 1600MHz CL10 Play - Corsair 100R case with side panel window Old parts: - Nvidia GTX 550 ti - 550W PSU from Chieftec - old HDD I will be reusing these parts cause' I don't have enough money to upgrade them at the moment (I will once I save up) According to the MSI website neither the RAM or the CPU is compatible with the board, but I chose this CPU because it comes in a bundle at my local store and there are reviews on their website where people are satisfied and I don't know if I should chose a different CPU and RAM or just stick with what I have? Anyone out there using this motherboard?

Thought i would share my ingame settings for 60FPS (55-70 in Online mode to be exact) for those who are interested and new to the game. Same settings could work on R9 280 i guess.

So I'm looking to put together a gaming PC, and I was wondering if the 960 could compete with the 970 for quite a bit less money. I'm going to be playing Witcher 3, Bioshock, GTA 5, League, WoW, GW2, and various other steam games that won't be all that demanding. I watched a video by Paul's Hardware, and the 960 was running GTA 5 maxed out at like 50-60 FPS. And I know the Witcher is going to be optimized for nvidia. I just want to know if I could get by with a 960. Running GTA 5 at even close to that high of FPS will be good with me. I'm looking for an average of 40-50, and if the 960 could pull that off with the Witcher at high-maxed out, I think I will go with that and save some money on it. Let me know what you guys think. I'm going to be playing on a 1080p monitor, not 1440. BUT I have been considering upgrading to an ultrawide. But it's not really a final decision yet, and it's kind of on the end of my priorities. Thanks for all the feedback, it will help me a lot. EDIT: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127860&cm_re=gtx_960-_-14-127-860-_-Product This is the card I'm thinking of getting. I don't know if it can utilize all 4 gigs, but will it be able to run Witcher 3 at high-max? I know it can handle GTA 5

Hi LTT forum! I am wondering if a logitech f710 or a ps4 dualshock 4 controller would work on gta 5 for pc. If they both work, wat controller would you pick to use as a controller for gta 5 pc? Hi, So on release day i purchased GTA V for PC on DVD's and i usually put all my games under my steam library so i can use the in game over lay to browes the web etc. However, When added I can't get the steam overlay to work with GTA. Has any one found a solution to this? Other Notes: I have made my "PlayGTA.exe" run as administrator to allow it to launch through steam, before that it would just crash.

Hello. I used the Native Trainer V for the GTA V story mode a few times now, however today after the update I wasn't able to activate it with the F4 key. Has it happened to anyone else? I don't see a reason why R* would patch out story mode mods. Cheers

Hi, I'm a new user here and am asking for your help. I've been trying to run GTA 5 and have been seeing really low GPU usage and fairly high CPU usage, though this is on a high end system. The system includes: 2 Way SLI GTX 980 i7-4790k 16GB RAM The game is installed on an Intel 530 SSD My CPU usage usually ranges from 40-90% while the GPU is sitting around 30%. No background programs are running and yet the game continues to stutter and perform badly. This even occurs when I play on the lowest settings with everything down, as well as dropping down my resolution to 800x600.

My friend built his rig and some things just don't add up. I've never ran into a problem like this. Specs: Athlon X4 860k GTX 750 Ti 8GB DDR3 RAM 430 Watt PSU When he runs GTA 5, the game BARELY runs. The CPU is nearly maxed out and his FPS must be like 10. I have no idea what could be causing this issue and I know the game can run better because of this video: My friend is running the game at a lower resolution and lower settings and his specs are better than those in the video. I have no idea what is causing this issue and its driving me crazy. My guess could be a bad windows or driver install or maybe a bad GTA 5 install. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Also when he first started the game it said his CPU did not meet the minimum requirements which is BS

hello fellow PC gamers, i have a little problem with my GPU not performing like it should. like you can see in my ATTACHED images you see in the maximum settings high GPU usage and high CPU usage. but on lower settings you only see high CPU usage and low GPU usage. also the FPS aren't that much higher. so my question is: is my CPU bottlenecking my GPU? if so: can i solve this without buying a new CPU (and motherboard) if not: wtf is the problem? hope you guys have enough information if not ask me to give it thx for reading this hope you can help me PS: its all run at 1080p in GTA 5 my system: gigabite G1 GTX 970 intel core i5-3350p kingston v300 120gb ssd random 500gb hard drive corsair RM 850 PSU motherboard: ASrock p67 pro3 an random internet card (the one on my motherboard is shit, like the board )

My system is as follows; 4670k @ 4.2Ghz Z87-HD3 ASUS 980 8 gigs of ddr3 1333mhz Mushkin SSD (120gb / OS installed here (win7)) Samsung 840 evo (gta 5 installed here) ~ Samsung firmware has been ran on this drive. I think there is something wrong with my SSD. Before I reformatted my PC I used the samsung drive as the OS drive (Mushkin was a late addition) and it showed in the windows experience index as a transfer rate score of 6.5, which is pretty low for an SSD (Usually 7.5+). Because of this and the impending launch of GTA 5 I purchased a new drive with the intention of using it as my OS and the older samsung as the drive for gta 5, I ran the firmware on it after formatting it and thought nothing of it and put gta 5 on it. This is where my problem begins, I am experiencing 3 minute waits for online and longer for storymode. I deleted the local content and reinstalled it the next day, same issue. I have also recently experience stuttering while in game doing non-intensive tasks. However, crystaldiskinfo and crystaldiskmark indicate no problems. - See attached. Having seen this information I have to ask, could it possible be an issue with my motherboard, surely if there was something wrong with my sata ports it would effect the benchmark? On a side note, my 4670k @ stock speeds gets a 5800 graphics score on firestrike - this also seems a little low to me. Obviously the next step is install gta 5 on my 1tb HDD and rule out the SSD as the problem, however - as gta 5 is 65 gigs and the best part of a day wasted installing, i was wondering if anyone had come across an issue such as this. I have also included my firestrike score. - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6698726 I am more than happy to read any material you might have etc, thanks in advance!

Hi, I want to build a gaming pc and I don't know which cpu should I go with. The gpu will be an EVGA GTX 970. I want to play GTA 5 in 1080p with 60 fps on very high settings. I know the gtx 970 can achieve that, but I don't want it to be bottlenecked by the cpu. I also want to do a little video editing, but the main purpose of this pc would still be gaming. So which cpu would be better? Which one should I go with and why? Thanks in advance.
