Hi guys. What can you say about this Western Digital Blue Internal HDD: WD10EZEX? Anyone here who already used this model? I am planning to buy 2pcs for my main boot drive and sync drive. (I don't want SSD yet because of the limited budget.) Thank you.

So, I've been planning on building a new PC, I was going for a setup with SSDs only and I mentioned that I would pick the OCZ VX500 due to their High NAND Endurance and 5 Year Warranty. However, nearly every person suggested that I avoid OCZs all together, because they are faulty and tend to break... So is this a rumor or not? and does it apply to a specific model of OCZs drive or is it a quality thing with the manufacturer... If so, what are some other alternatives for the same price and with similar High NAND Endurance? mind you the system will be mostly used for graphics, editing and 3D work Here are the basic specs compared to the similarly priced 850 EVO: 850 EVO – SAMSUN VX500 - OCZ CAPACITY 500 GB 512 GB PRICE $165 - NEWEGG $155 - NEWRG MC 3D V-NAND MLC MTBF 2,000,000 HOURS 1,500,000 HOURS ENDURANCE 150 TBW 296 TBW WARRANTY 5 YEARS 5 YEARS I would like to hear everybody's opinions... Thanks & Regards,

So I have multiple monitors and it seems that geforce has gotten hidden under the monitor. When I click on it to open it, I see it come in as if I am minimizing it. I can't see the window on any of my monitors. Restarting my pc does not fix the issue. I have also tried using the windows shortcut (WIN + Arrow Key) to move it onto the screen. Any ideas?

So the new version of geforce experience is out and it didn't give me a choice whether I wanted to upgrade - so I did. Now that version 3.0.5.22 is the current version I have no option to rollback, it seems. So basically what's happening is when I start it literally everything goes wrong ; network errors, popups to tell me to restart it, my rig and other things not showing and eventually a complete crash with the error message following the lines of, "Something went wrong. Please restart geforce experience." and when I press the ok button - obviously - it closes. I have windows 10 home n ; this has caused multiple issues with missing things before so I'm mentioning it just incase. Thanks for any useful replies. So here I am ordering my new ZOTAC GTX 1060 6GB Mini from Amazon. I don't live in the US so I had to pay shipping fees + tax, which is well over $80. I pay for expedited shipping which is 7-10 business days, but guess what. It gets delivered on the 19th of september. I contact customer support telling them my issue and the lovely lady in customer support gives me free priority shipping, and now I receive my item on aug 29-sept 6, which is amazing!! What is your best customer support experience?

I plan to mod my Corsair Carbide Spec-01 case side panel, changing it for acrylic/plexiglass. The idea came when I saw the new Phanteks cases with Tempered glass side panels. For now I made a project in photoshop, but I need advices from people who have experience with this, I need to know the thickness of the acrylic, how to mount it and how to tint it. Here's the photoshopped picture:

Hi, I've been waiting for No Man's Sky to be released on PC but......the Steam reviews are in and they are mostly negative because the game is not working, keeps crashing or is very laggy. So what is your gameplay experience with No Man's Sky? and post your system specs and settings so others can view and compare. Thanks

*UPDATED* So i made this pc on a norwegian website called komplett.no. It's my first pc ever made, and i'd like to ask what kind of games this could be running and at what framerate. also if it would be able to record games. anyways i have a budget of around 1500 - 2000$ (this pc is around 1300$) so if you could check it out and give me some recommendations that'd be great! Sorted out a few flaws in the pc, and i think i'm about done. Thanks for all the help and support! https://www.komplett.no/wishlists/482f9f18-9ea2-4f93-aa94-88e65bdbf365 Thanks!

Note: Sorry if this is the wrong forum, couldn't decide between General Discussion and the actual motherboard section. This is the story of little bill and his quest through... the MSI RMA service of doom. Our story begins on June 1st or 2nd, 2016 (forgot exact day). bill got bored one night and decided to try overclocking his EVGA GTX 750 Ti FTW for the first time. In fact, it's his first time overclocking anything. But he got an OC wrong and ended up having his GPU get stuck around 400Mhz. He then restarts his computer and instantly gets violent flashbacks about his PC's past issues. Namely, the "Stuck on A2 at boot" issue that is common with MSI motherboards. He has encountered this issue anywhere between 4-8 times in the past year alone, and it gets worse each time. The last solution he tried was to clear the CMOS, which surprisingly worked. This time, it wasn't so simple. After days of trying, ordering new SATA cables, unplugging and replugging, etc., he declared that the motherboard was dead. On June 5, 2016, he filed an RMA request with MSI. The pain was only beginning. He mailed his [presumably] dead motherboard to MSI's RMA center in California on June 9th. An attempt to deliver it was made June 11th, but failed due to it being a Saturday. It was successfully delivered to an individual the next Monday, June 13th. The wait began. It took until June 17th, 4 days after it had arrived, to finally be scanned in. Miraculously, it jumped over the 'Arrived' stage and was instead set to 'Replacement'. "Yes," he exclaimed, "my repaired motherboard shall soon be mine!" However, the hunger had already started to settle in by now. And so, the next Tuesday, June 21st, something odd happened: the RMA status was moved back a step to 'Arrived'. Multiple calls and emails only left a non-reassuring "it says they're working on it" from MSI support. And so, on June 26th, 2016, the following email was sent to MSI: "Here is a timeline of events to give some insight on my RMA's progress: June 5, 2016 (Sun): RMA approved June 9, 2016 (Thurs): RMA shipped out from Chicagoland area to RMA center in California June 11, 2016 (Sat): RMA shipment delivery attempt made, failed due to business being closed June 13, 2016 (Mon): RMA shipment successfully delivered to individual at RMA center June 17, 2016 (Fri): RMA status set to "Replacement" June 21, 2016 (Tues): RMA status set to "Arrived" I've encountered some inconvenient yet understandable issues during the course of this timeline. They include the lengthy amount of time that my RMA took to be scanned in, the RMA status page crapping up for a day, and now the status being moved back a step. I fear that my RMA is going to be denied or something. There is only one event in the RMA log, that being the approval of the RMA itself on June 5th. I'm usually patient with these things and all, but I'm kind of dying over here being stuck on a Mac with a desktop w/o a mobo. I respect and thank MSI for warranty coverage and RMA service they provide but would like to request further information regarding the status of my board. I sincerely hope it being moved back a step isn't a big deal and is usual. Thank you." Two days later: "Dear **** I have requested a rma status update for your rma as soon as they respond back to me I will give you more information. please not it can take 5-15 business days from the time we receive it." Two hours later: "Dear **** my rma department has informed me that they are still working of this unit but should contact you shortly with more information via email." And so he waited. And waited. And then sent another email: "I have yet to receive any email. I'm really, really, really trying to remain patient, but it's now been over a month since I've been on my desktop due to my issue. I have about a week before I just go out and buy a whole new motherboard, and there's quite honestly a minuscule chance it'll be from MSI. I apologize if I sound impatient, but I simply don't want to spend the rest of my summer on a Macbook Air. Thank you." 3 days later: "I have been told they have emailed you yesterday check your junk/spam folder for that email." And so I checked. And so there was an email there, but it wasn't the one he was hoping for. "Dear customer, Same model replacement is not available. To not further delay, can we process below refund?" A mad dash to reply handed MSI this: "Yes. What steps do I need to take to process said refund, and for how much will it be?" And the magic number is...? $47.20 BUT HE DIDN'T GIVE UP! He replied to their lousy settlement with a half-cringey email: "Can the refund amount be raised to $75? I purchased the product for $149.99 retail. Obviously it's been 2 years and the value has degraded a little, but $47.20 simply isn't enough to cover for a brand new motherboard of the same quality." And so they finally replied with a defeated response: "We will compromise with $75.00" The RMA nightmare was over. But little bill still got his $75, about half of what he had paid for the motherboard originally. So, what went wrong, you ask? The long wait-times. The broken status system (that only had one event in it, that being it being approved on June 5th). The attempt to payout exactly $47.20. The worst part about it? I had even included this handcrafted letter for the MSI technicians specifically. :((( And so, little bill will not be buying MSI for his next motherboard. Your mileage may vary, as will it with any other motherboard maker. Whether or not you take this into consideration is up to you. But make no mistake, my experience cannot go unheard. And thank you to all who read the whole thing through. Let us celebrate:

I got a new monitor, (LG 27UD68-P) and went into Geforce Experience to optimize my games. Everything else optimized to max or near max settings and 4K resolution except BF4 which optimized to low and 4K resolution. What gives? I turned everything back up to where it runs decently (45fps+) in game with an almost High settings setup. Does 4K really really put that much hurt to the 970 in these bigger games? On my 1080p monitor I could go ultra everything and have 50fps+ Anyone have any suggestions? Play in 2k? New card? Overlcock? I am open to overclocking it but I have no idea how to overclock GPU, becuz am skrub when I try i just crash it. EVGA SSC GTX970

So my MSI CSM-B150M PRO-VDH ended up dying today after I attempted to wake my PC up from being asleep for about a hour. GPU fans cranked to mad and then everything shut off. Ran some basic tests and came to the conclusion that the board is completely dead. So, since I plan on RMAing it does anyone here have any experience with MSI and their RMA process? If it's terrible I'll just buy a new/different board to not deal with it.

SO In A recent post of mine I was trying to find out why my Precision X16 was acting up as shown in the pictures and why geforce experience was doing the same. So I was gaming with an overclock profile and my screen went full green and the game crashed, went to Precision X and I saw the dials and numbers were messed up, reinstalled Precision X16 and it still came out blank like in the pics. also noticed Geforce Experience was acting up saying my gpu could not optimize games, even a restart of my PC didn't fix these issues, so I reinstalled my graphics drivers and it went back to normal, but I tried overclocking again, and repeat story above. WORST OF ALL was that the fan profile was gone, the fans wouldn't turn on at all... even at high temps! AND for some reason the gpu wasn't even sending a temp reading to Speccy and my AIO Cooled cpu was reaching 55c from the ambient heat from the gpu (its placed as an exhaust)!! Has anyone else had these issues with the latest Nvidia Driver 364.72 because this scared the crap out of me!

Hello friends, today i got my NZXT H440 case and X61 Kraken cooler and i am very happy! My question is can anyone share his personal experience with me about shopping on Mindfactory.de, because i am gonna purchase 80% of the other parts from it. Most people from geizhals.eu write positive feedback/comments about it, but of course there are some that write things which make me really confused. Thank you in advance,Best of luck! - Redjo

I've recently found myself a little disappointed with my R5, it's just super cramped inside and I miss the clean look I had with my s340. I've been thinking of transferring my main PC components to the Enthoo Primo and switching my NAS from the HAF 932 to the R5. I would have already bought the Primo if it wasn't so expensive, something just doesn't sit right paying that much for a case. Any thoughts, experiences, or opinions would be awesome. Thanks, TidaLWaveZ

Hey there! I am currently in the learning process for C# (8 years of prior programming experience in other languages, about a month in C# [see my GitHub: @SysVoid]). I am out of ideas. What could I make? If any of you lot have ideas, fun, tedious, challenging (fun!), let me know! I want to do some more algorithm work too, if you have anything for that. It's also a bonus if you're currently in university and could send me one of your project specs so that I can attempt it myself and compare it to what you have later. I've never been to university, so that'd be fun. Thanks!

Update 3: This is the last straw, I really really do not recommend this product! After all the disappointment you can read below, I discovered another huge problem... A dead pixel... This is really the last straw, I am done with this. I don't care anymore about the beautiful design and aluminium build quality nor the amazing colors on the screen. I payed too much money for this. I will try to return this and get a refund, but I'm afraid it will not be easy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everybody, I little backstory, this schoolyear I began my freshman year at college here in Belgium. Therefore I needed a laptop. I’ve always used my gaming desktop. I definitely wanted an aluminium Ultrabook. I searched for one weeks and weeks. I was really interested in the Dell XPS with infinity display. But there were a few problems. The price, it was a really expensive laptop but ok, I would give the money for that. But then I found the XPS 15 with that display was not released yet. I didn’t want to pay so much money for a 13” laptop. I really wanted that laptop, but back in September 2015 I heard It will come out at the end of 2015. So that’s too late for school. I went with buying a temporary laptop which I would sell when I had the XPS 15. I bought an Asus Zenbook UX303 with a 5500u and Intel integrated graphics. I found it pretty cheap for 666€ 2nd hand only a day or 2 old, as good as new. Months have passed now and I finally got my XPS15! I am really starting to love that Asus Zenbook. It did so much right. This is my true and honest opinion from a person who payed the full retail price where I had to work my ass of at a holiday job. I am really picky, and I want the best of the best, this is why I bought the XPS. The model I bought has: - I7 6700HQ - 16GB DDR4 - 4K Touchscreen - Geforce GTX 960m - 500GB Samsung NVMe drive Here are my Pros and Cons: Pros: - Amazing screen! The colours are brilliant. - Pretty good speakers, they get very load and are surprisingly good for a laptop. - Keyboard is ok, not so much travel but pretty tactile. - Very nice trackpad (UPDATE 1: Altough the trackpad feels great, I seem to have a bit of trouble being precise with it, this seem to be a common problem, it's not too bad, but yeah. I use a mouse 90% of the time so not really a big problem) - Stunning build quality, the aluminium is almost pornographic. And the top lid is fingerprint resistant! - Great performance! Cons: - Headphone jack… This is a problem I worry about the most and I find the most disappointing… There is quite a lot of static noise on it. And it clicks a bit when the sound is enabled. You really hear the transition good. I have had this program a lot with tablet; but they were all cheap so yeah. The problem is caused by a bad design of the audio part on the laptop’s motherboard. it gets a lot of interference of the other components on the motherboard. I will probably buy a DAC because it’s pretty unbearable for me… Sad.. really sad.. - Little shift in red colors on weird viewing angels. When you look at the screen from a pretty weird angel the colors shift a bit, but that is ok. You will never watch your screen from that direction. - No numeric keypad, this is a “problem” I knew from the beginning. But I got used to working with shift + 1,2,3,4 etc due to my Asus, so yeah, a bummer but nothing too bad. - From my little time I have spend, I can say that the fans are pretty quite but the fan profile is a bit aggressive for my liking. - Bloatware, not too much but still too much.. - The hinge, this is another annoying one. You need quite a lot of force to open the hinge, so one finger opening is a nono. ( I had this on my Asus, so I will need to get used to it ) - High pitched noises from the screen adaptor? When something is changing on the screen you can hear quite a lot of high pitched noises coming through the fans grills pointed at the screen. It’s like a bit of a coil whine with GPUs. - Low quality camera, very bad low-light conditions. But I don’t us this much so, it’s okay. - Very weird problem where I haven't find the cause yet. The laptop boots quite fast (slower then the Asus) but when I close my lid and open it again, it takes 12 seconds or more before the login screen pops up. Those 12 seconds are just black screen. I can't seem to find anyone else with this. I will contact costumer support about this one next monday... UPDATE 2: I have found another pretty big problem... Screen ghosting, a lot of screen ghosting. I tested a game and it's very noticable. For my case it's okay, but it was to be expected from such a 4K panel. Another quite big dissapointment.. So for the gamers under us. I think the 1080p model would be better for that. I can still hook it up to another monitor for gaming but that defeats the point of a laptop. While testing with games I was abble to puch it quite heavy. I even played CSGO highest settings on 4K and it was very playable. It looked great too. The fans went too full throttle and they can get quite noisy. But not the annoying whining sound but more the whooshing, air moving one. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So as you can see, there are a few cons, but most are not really a big deal. The one thing I’m the most disappointed about is the headphone jack issue.. Any other persons having this with there XPS? These are the things found with inly using it for an hour. I will update this for the interested from time to time. I hope I can help some people with this. With greetings, Thomas

Does anyone have experience with the zotac gtx 970, the normal one with two fans, does it como whine like crazy? Are the fans noisy as f?

I'm hoping to get suggestions on this project I'm working on where I want to emulate what it would be like to be driving and have someone hijack control of your vehicle. The idea would be to set up an Obutto cockpit with wheel and pedals, a PC and an easily mod-able copy of a racing game. The experience starts normal, like driving around a track, then suddenly about 2 minutes into the "race" the car will violently turn, shocking the user. After this the screen would display some message, and restart or fade to black for the next user to try. Does anyone have suggestions of how to achieve this, or who I may be able to contact to do the modding work? I can pay :-z... First glance I was looking at iRacing or RFactor... Halp!! :-)

Hey guys. I am looking to get a new monitor soon and am looking at one of these 32 inch 1440p displays. I am passing on Samsung's offering because of that rose gold color and high response time/I'm put lag,and I like BenQ's offering but would rather have the sleeker look of the PB328Q. There aren't really ANY reviews of this monitor ANYWHERE. So, I am asking, does anyone here own this monitor? I am very curious to see if this monitor has a high response time/input lag on it. I know the monitor is advertised as a "4ms GtG" but with these VA panels, you never know. So far the BenQ is the fastest out of these three that I have found. I say this as I am curious to see if this monitor is close to or faster than the BenQ. Please, if anyone has ANY experience with this monitor, post it here! Not only will it help me, but it will also help anyone put there who is also looking to buy this monitor in the future. Thanks! P.S. I will be mostly gaming on this monitor. I am not a "hardcore" gamer nor am I a "casual" gamer. I mostly play modern AAA titles, TF2, and gMod. I don't care for CS:GO <- (Hopefully this statement clarifys what I mean with this whole "P.S.")

I am still waiting on a mail-in-rebate from Corsair that I applied for in THE MONTH OF MAY. Literally six months ago. I called them back again today and apparently they're still processing rebates from that timeframe. I find that to be completely ridiculous. I have used mail-in-rebates from other companies like Cooler Master and EVGA and never had any issues of the sort. Now I see why most people don't even consider the MIRs as savings when shopping for computer parts. Worst part is that I'm looking at a power supply and case for my next build, and although there are some good deals on Corsair products, many are associated with mail-in-rebates. This experience has me totally turned off to buying another one of their products. Has anybody had similar experiences with Corsair or any other brand? Maybe they're just giving me the shaft because I'm Canadian ehh?

What is the best computer brand you know or experienced with? Explain why! WRONG: "Asus" RIGHT: "Asus because they make really high quality mobile products such as smartphones & tablets IMO. I don't know why they are so underrated. I also like their motherboards, laptops, & GPUs because they're one of the most well designed PC parts IMO."
