My girlfriend is looking for two 1080p monitors, is 27" is decent for general productivity and gaming or does it look pixelated? We also wonder, do dual curved monitors make sense or should we look for flat monitors?

Doing a lot more video editing for work and wanted to eek out a little smoother performance. I currently have two sticks of 16GB ram for a total of 32GB (G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3600 PC4-28800 CL16 Dual Channel). I was wondering if it would be fine to just buy the exact same and add them in on the open dim slots or if I should pony up for the 2x 32. It would be $112 vs about $175 from what I've seen. Come across a lot of forum posts saying the 2 x 32 might be more stable. Thanks for helping out a noob. I've been using two monitors for a while now, main is 1440p and secondary is 1080. I just finished parting out my new build and started thinking about getting a new 1440p OLED display. So far I've only seen one 2560 x 1440 display by LG; the 27GR95QE-B which based on the one review I saw by The Display Guy, I feel like I should avoid it. Than I remembered about ultra-wides and now I'm wondering if I can get the same kind of dual screen functionality out of an ultra-wide. PS: I'm gonna be running a 4080 on water, so not having enough power isn't really gonna be an issue

Budget (including currency): We'll say 750$ but we'll pretend I can afford 1,000$ in a theoretical "you should really spend more" situation. Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OBS Studio, Other details: Dear LTT Community, I apologize in advance for the long winded request and information vomit. I have ADHD Current setup has a Gaming PC with AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, NVIDIA 2080 Super, and 32GB Of DDR4.. it works very well, I also have an internal capture card inside of it for Nintendo switch streaming, STREAMING SETUP - HD60+ coming out of GAMING PC and INTO my STEAM DECK! Works Relatively better than I thought it would! +especially after windows driver updates, may still need more? (Side note: I legitimately think Linux obs studio runs better on steam deck, obviously Linux takes less CPU but I really like windows solutions, obs on Linux for example is really really terrible for handling audio channels and audio mixing without the physical hardware) However, it has USB power issues, and not enough USB ports, it also only has the onboard APU, obviously... I believe the APU with all the USB devices and if I want to go higher than 3,000 bitrate or even split the streaming/recording nitrates (which is what I really want, I'd love 3,000 streaming and 3,000 recording bitrates) I don't believe it's a network issue but the steam deck can't seem to push bitrates, and I do off and on get encoding errors on OBS studio... Which obviously this is not what the steam deck was meant for, but budget wise it's what I have to work with right now. However I'm changing careers soon, and really still interested in streaming and would love a secondary PC or potentially even suggestions with my current gaming hardware to possibly migrate into a newer bigger tower (better motherboard likely required) but I have a BIG concern for FPS, I can feel and tell the difference personally and my monitor pushes 240hz. So I do not want to take away from processing or graphical power on my main PC, and I do LOVE to keep my graphics at ultra. Or at least balance them out so not everything is always set to low, and push as many FPS I can while still looking good, I can't stand anything under 120 usually. Please give me some suggestions. Not sure if LTT has done any Streaming specific PC build content in a long time, but I'm even willing to go ARC because I do remember Linus mentioning how it could be a really good option for encoding. Any experience on this one, anybody? Or if you can even save me money and help me make the steam deck work better ? Lol. Edit* I forgot to add that I also use Voicemeter to route my microphone audio from the steam deck to my gaming PC for in game use through a VBan (network audio) idk if this matters much with my bitrate Thanks in Advance, Zachary

Didn't realise this before buying a GPU with 240mm AIO, but it's pretty hard finding a normal size or small case that would fit two 240 mm AIOs.. I just bought a GPU with 240mm aio (pretty thick radiator too, 65mm) and for CPU I want to use a 240mm AIO also. Doesnt need to be SFF though, a normal ATX preferably Anyone know of a case that fits both? I little modding would be fine too! Cheers!

I've been looking for a gaming 1440p ~144hz. So I can use two, or three of them together, I have the enough GPU power for it (3080 TI). I want something I can possibly mount to the wall in the future. I am current using a wide 1080p monitor for school and gaming. Any recommendations are welcome. I don't want to spend more than about ~$800. Thanks!

Hello all. I just recently got parts for a new PC I want to build, I noticed that my system won’t boot when installing the RAM in dual channel. I discovered that the motherboard won’t pass from the DRAM light when installing any RAM sticks in any or both A1 and A2 channel (first two ones from the socket). This doesn’t happen when installing them in one or both B1 and B2 channels. Both RAM sticks seem to work I can boot with either stick as long as is seated in any B channels. I have updated the bios on the motherboard to the latest non beta version. I have re seated the stock amd cooler three times and look for bent Pins in the processor but i don’t see any. Although I dropped the processor earlier and noticed it’s damaged at the bottom near the outer most line of the pins. Could this be the problem? If not what else can I check? Here my setup: Ryzen 5 5600G. Asus Tuf Gaming B550M Plus WiFi. Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB kit (2x8GB) 3600Mhz. NZXT C750 power supply. Crucial P2 NVMe 500GB SSD. Many thanks in advance.

My computer has 16 GB of memory with 2x8 sticks. I was just given a single stick of 16 GB. Could I put the 2x8GB sticks together on the first channel and the 1x16 stick on the other, and get all the benefits of dual channel memory but no drawbacks of mixing and matching sticks?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a dual monitor set up (pref 27" not ultrawide). Ideally I want two IPS panels because well I like colour accuracy. I'm rocking a 1660s and 3600 so realistically for the next year I won't realistcally be going above 144fps at 1080p or 75fps at 1440p but I really want to utilise the extra pixel density of the higher res panel. I was thinking about getting a high refresh 1080p monitor for competitve FPS games and a moderate refresh rate 1440p monitor for scenic games. BUT I also want the monitors to visually identical becuase.. well symmetry. I'm not likely to upgrade my GPU/CPU for a good while so I don't see myself needing higher refresh rate monitors than these. This is what I have found so far (I'm aware the description of the 1440p one is VA but I'm guessing that is wrong): https://www.box.co.uk/AOC-Gaming-27G2UBK-27-Full-HD-IPS-Free_2766292.html https://www.box.co.uk/AOC-Q27G2UBK-27-QHD-FreeSync-144Hz-Gam_2869502.html Are these good deals? Or am I barking up the wrong tree. Any help would be appreciated. Peripherals are not my strong point as its a minefield

So I have 2 monitors, one is connected via HDMI and looks great however the other monitor is connected thru a DVI to VGA cable and looks a lot more blurry then the other monitor. They both are the same refresh rate, so I have no idea what to do.

Please note that more rank(s) and/or more sticks of RAM will affect maximum speed of the DDR4, a quad rank will give worst overclocking results. More ranks better how ever max speed may be reduced, quad-rank memory sticks are NOT supported on a consumer grade motherboards!!! >w< What a quad-rank stick looks like. Edit 2: Rambling about DDR4 memory channels and ranks - YouTube More detailed information. ((also beware some 16GB sticks can be single rank))

Hello, So right now I have a P9X79 motherboard which has 1 DVI port. My current monitor has 1 dvi port and a d-sub port (which I believe is the same as a VGA). Now I would like to get a new monitor to use as my main monitor. If I get a new monitor with 2 HDMI ports, and I connect that monitor with my pc with a DVI-HDMI cable, can I connect my second (current) monitor with my main (new) monitor using another dvi-hdmi cable or a dvi-d-sub (vga) cable? Kind regards, Roy

Budget (including currency): N/A Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently have a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG Mini ITX case. It's a dual slot case and I currently have a 2080 ti evga black GPU. The length is fine, but the height of the card is what is a tight squeeze. (See pictures below). I was wondering if anyone knew what my options will be for a 3090, or if I should just for-go the option entirely. I did happen to find a 3090 that is a dual slot card (see link below) and it looks slim enough that height won't be an issue, but it is a blower card. I don't want to get it if the temps are going to be insane. My 2080ti reaches around 81c under max load in my case, which is toasty, but definitely acceptable. Is there a better option that I'm missing? I don't think I've seen any other dual slot 3090s. Even a lot of dual slot 3080s look a little too tall for my case to accommodate. Just looking for some feedback. purchased a new monitor and now that i have 2 i want to put them on a dual monitor arm but they only seem to be vesa compliant where as both my monitors dont mount to theirs stand with vesa its sort of like a slides on at the top and clips at the bottom, to rremove the screen you have to press a button in and tilt. my question is can you find arms with this type of mount as i dont think vesa will fit, anyone got a solution?

I'm working on a new water cooling loop. I haven't built one in a while, but I have built a few. I'm using an Enthoo Primo, 360 rad for the GPU, 420 Rad for the CPU, EK-XRES-200 DDC MX. I'm cooling a Ryzen 1950x and a GTX 1000 TI for now. I'll likely upgrade both after the pandemic, but for now my leftovers will have to do. I was going to get fancy and split the output off the pump to the separate blocks, but I get that this may lead to less flow to the smaller channel, likely the GPU. I'm thinking I'll go pump, GPU block, 360 rad, CPU block, 420 rad. I know it's overkill, but it will likely be my last build and I want to leave room for upgrades down the road. Any thoughts on the above sequence?

Hi all, I am in the market for a new GPU. (The unit does not have to be new) One big thing about my PC setup is the fact that it is white and grey themed, so I want a white and grey GPU. I found the older GTX 1060 DUAL and 1070 DUAL from ASUS and they look great. However, on Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter, Best buy, ect. all of the units are hundreds of dollars over MSRP and I don't feel like spending $750 on a GTX 1060. I found multiple used and new ASUS DUAL GTX 1060 6GB on ebay for reasonable prices. I also found some VERY reasonable used GTX 1070's (around $100-$200) Some of my friends have had not good experience with art supplies and some other things on ebay (none with PC parts). I know to look at the sellers reviews and the product reviews and I feel confident that I could find a good seller with a good deal. I just want to make sure that i'm not gonna spend around $200 and get nothing. If someone has had good experiences that would be very helpful (Also which one should I get? GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070, bother ASUS DUAL models) Thanks for all the help!!!

Is it possible to run the corsair vengeance rgb pro 4x8gb 3600mhz on the msi b450 tomahawk max. I don't want to have 16x2, because I already have two of the same 8gb corsair sticks? The motherboard itself is dual channel that's why I'm asking.

peripherals Controlling / Switching Between Multiple Laptops
noodleMind posted a topic in Peripherals
I am currently trying to fix my work from home setup, where I have 2 Laptops on which I have to constantly toggle between. What is the best solution for that. Current Setup / Tasks Communications / Chat / Calls on Both Laptops Constantly switch between both the Laptops Connected 2 Different Headsets (1 Each Laptop) Connected 2 Monitors (1 Each Laptop) Logitech MX Keys and Master Mx3 Mouse (Switch Using the Device Selection Button) Current Issues / Problems Since I have to click on the Keyboard and the Mouse (bottom side, so I have to lift and flip each time) it is becoming hard to switch and know which one is active. Headphones needs to be constantly switched since each one has its own. Can Not Do Install a software to connect them (Such as Synergy, Barrier, Flow etc.) If KVM Switch with Docking station is the only option, is there any suggestions and recommendations- 7 replies

Hello, recently I bought a new ACER VG240YP monitor. It works well, but when I try to connect my second monitor through display port to hdmi cable the first screen goes blank and the second has no signal. I tried to change cables / outputs and it still doesn't work. Would be glad if someone helped.

Hi, I have been looking to upgrade my system ram from 8gb to 16gb. I already have a 8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX with, Specs: model number: CMK8GX4M1A2400C16 Latency: 16-16-16-39 power: 1.20V speed:2400mhz So far i have found this ram on amazon. All the specs of this model match with the ram i own except model number. It has an extra R at the end. Will this ram work in dual channel with my current ram if go for this one? Help! Thanks Link to probably the same ram i found online, again: https://www.amazon.in/Corsair-Vengeance-2400MHz-Chipset-CMK8GX4M1A2400C16R/dp/B01ARHCZYO/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3OOIAGJUYMRAV&dchild=1&keywords=corsair%2Bvengeance%2Blpx%2B8gb%2Bddr4%2B2400mhz&qid=1596704331&sprefix=corsair%2Bvengeance%2Blpx%2Caps%2C288&sr=8-1&th=1

Ok there is some minor issues once I realized my boards manual clearly was wrong I opened the PC and fixed it to run in dual channel and shit happened... XMP does not work unless I set it down to 3060MHz also the memory support list for the ASRock board actually mentions this! (only on G.Skill sticks for some reason) But anyhows should I use single channel with higher MHz or dual with 3060MHz? Dual 3000MHz CL15-16-16-35 Dual 3060MHz CL15-16-16-35 (could maybe see if this works?) Dual 3060MHz CL16-18-18-38 (currently) Mono 3200MHz CL16-18-18-38 Mono 3600MHz CL18-22-22-42 (could try this also? would max infinity fabric or is it pointless in mono channel?) Why does board do this? :<
