Story: This is my first pc build, and everything was going well. I started the pc up, and everything turned on as expected, and the monitor booted fine. However, upon checking to make sure all the components were detected, I noticed the GPU (Radeon 6650 XT) was not detected by the PC and was instead using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. After unplugging and replugging the graphics card, the 8 pin GPU power cable, the power supply, and the display port cables, I rebooted the pc and monitor. The monitor now displayed No Signal, despite all the connections being solid and it being set on Display Port. I unplugged and replugged everything in the same fashion multiple times, and the monitor finally turned on again. It still did not detect the GPU. This time, I used AMD's cleanup software to wipe the cards drivers, and then used AMD's autodetect driver software to redownload the drivers. (The autodetect did detect that the card was connected and fully powered.) At about 49% through with the driver installation, the screen flicked black, and then displayed No Signal. Upon unplugging and replugging everything again, the monitor would keep displaying No Signal. The monitor will now randomly work or display No Signal every time I unplug and replug everything. I tried repairing the drivers instead of completely wiping them and redownloading them on one occasion that the monitor did work, however it did the same thing and displayed No Signal. I tried plugging the monitor to a different device to see if it was the problem, and it worked completely fine. Rarely, after unplugging and replugging everything, and the monitor actually works, the pc will actually detect the GPU in device manager, but it just says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Error Code: 43) I've tried using HDMI, I've tried reinstalling the CMOS, and I've tried reinstalling the RAM. I've checked all cable connections as well. When pc starts up, the GPU fans start running, and stop after about 5 seconds. The RGB lights in the GPU remain on. UPDATE: the monitor turns back on 100% of the time now when pc is restarted after attempted driver installation shut-off. still black screens and says no signal when trying to install, or repair drivers still. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I've had a persistent problem for a number of months now. It's finally driven me to the point of asking for help. I have a MSI Armor AMD RX 590 GPU. I've used it for around 2 years without any problems. I've been able to run pretty high end games while simultaneously recording and using background apps. About 6 months ago my games started crashing randomly. I didn't investigate too much as I was returning to work post-pandemic. I've recently tried to enjoy gaming again but with no luck. Most games crash after about 2 mins. The screen will flicker and freeze (sometimes audio will continue to play) the screens will then go black for a few seconds and return with the game crashed. I get an error message 'A driver timeout has occurred'. I've run Furmark stress test successfully only once (previous attempts crashed instantly) Scored 5000 on the 1080p test. Temps are always 50-70'c when under stress I've tried all of the options I could find via googling the problem. Reinstalling Adrenalin, adjusting power usage, enabling xmp, reducing display refresh rates, fully inspect and clean system set-up, and using AMDs clean up utility. None of this worked I have a basic but reasonable understanding of the hardware side of things but struggle with software and numbers I don't really understand fan and clock speeds or anything about voltage. I know my system isn't top-of-the-range, but these issues have never happened while gaming previously. Many users seem to think the AMD driver updates are the problem. I can't figure out how to roll back to a previous successful version (more than a year ago) Scott System: Windows 10 pro 64 bit Mb - MSI x470 Gaming Plus Max CPU - Ryzen 7 3700x GPU - AMD RX 590 RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8 GB 3600mhz PSU - Corsair 750w 2 x LG 21" monitors (basic led) set to 60000mhz refresh rate

Every time I try to update my GPU through geforce experience it asks me to restart my computer --- having nvidia pc's for years it has never asked me to do that before but it has been asking me to do that for the last few updates. Recently I've been getting a decent amount of FPS Stutters in games I used to never lag in. I cap my fps at 60 fps and i keep getting fps drops to around 45. Even on Medium or High presets. consistently every 30 seconds or so. Like say loading into a match of fortnite, for example; I get a lot of lag as the match is starting; and then throughout the match I get big drops as I'm moving. This happens even if I let nvidia optimize my games. I've reinstalled the driver but it didn't seem to do anything I have set settings to maximum power usage for my pc and gpu but nothing changes. My GPU and CPU temps are usually around 40-59 degrees under heavy load and I've recently cleaned dust out of the pc. I'm kind of at a loss of what to do. Specs CPU: i7 8700 GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 1660 ti Motherboard: Asus prime h310 plus motherboard RAM: 16 gb ddr4 ram PSU: Allied ald500exp 500w Storage : 3 SSD's of various sizes.

So my buddy has a pre built that he got in around 2013 and every thing is stock and he was looking to upgrade his 650 to a 1050 ti for better graphics. he got the card and it was fine up until he went to install new drivers it would get to the installing screen and then go completely black and the computer would go unresponsive but still be on the only way to fix this is restarting it. After that he asked for my help i took a look at it tried to install the drivers same problem so i did a bios update to see if that fixed anything nothing. then i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them from nividas website and tried to update and then it did the same thing i checked to see if it was a windows update causing issues and there were some updates so i installed them but then when i went to install them it kept saying this Nvidia driver is not compatible with this version and when we try to go in any games it says update drivers also in device manager it gives a code 43 is there any way to fix this. Specs intel i5 2400 seagate barracuda 1tb hdd 8gb of some unknown type of ram motherboard is a lenovo mahoby gpu is a 650 but is trying to upgrade to 1050 ti 550w psu 64 bit windows pro

Hi folks I've just gotten set up with an almost entirely new PC, with the only parts from my previous rig being the PSU, an M.2 SSD and two HDDs. I've had frequent BSOD errors when trying to install programs/drivers/games etc., and a few that seemed to have been triggered just when running command prompt or setting a new default browser. Below are what I feel are my relevant system specs: - Motherboard: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 (BIOS version F14) - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X - GPU: ASUS RTX 3060 Ti - OS: Windows 10 Home When first powering on the new system, it would not recognise the Windows install on my old M.2 drive. To get around this, I installed a new Windows instance on a seperate M.2 which seemed to work at first. After a number of BSODs that seemed to point to memory/driver/Windows errors, I decided to completely format both of my M.2 drives and reinstall a fresh copy of Windows. However, the same problem has seemed to persist and I'm at a bit of a loss on what to try next. Link to a Dropbox with BSOD dump and PERFMON output: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9ptgww3jp1d09ly/AAC9hP14XzjFKaDZ-BcUKleJa?dl=0 Link to an Imgur album of a few of the errors I've encountered: https://imgur.com/a/npW3KTa

So there is this firmware for up to GTX1000 GPUs for DisplayPort. When I had a GTX960 it helped me when I couldn't get into bios on any monitor with DP (BIOS only showed on HDMI monitors). Now I have RTX3080ti and BIOS is also only showing on my HDMI monitor, but sometimes, when I boot the PC, my DP monitor shows "no signal". (only a reboot or plugging HDMI monitor helps). So my question is: Is there a firmware update like this but for RTX3000 GPUs? Or is this one ok to use and they just forgot to update the site with the new GPUs?

So yesterday i was using my pc normally and then, something weird happend. First of all, i have a desktop pc Windows 11 pro Ryzen 5 3400G with apu No external GPU Asrock a320m r 4.0 motherboard Two generic 2600mhz 8Gb ram sticks An old 650w Power supply (I have a feeling this can be the problem) I was playing Outer Wilds in medium settings when the pc goes off. It sounded like a hard reset (pushing the power button and hold for 5sec to power off the pc) and when I power on again... Nothing, no post. So a tried un plugging the pc from the auxiliar power supply I have and plug it directly to the wall socket. Then the pc starting to fail to start, the fans and leds turn on for like a second and then power off again. I un plug the power supply from the motherboard and let it cool down for half an hour, plug it again and tried. Then the pc start normally but no post. I removed the ram sticks and let they on the table for a couple of minutes and plug only one to the motherboard, no post. Tried with the other: FINALLY POST! So, windows starts nornally but, no keyboard, no mouse, well, that's weird. I have a 10 dollar generic office Genius keyboard and a cheap led generic "Gaming" mouse. The leds of the mouse turn on but no driver seems to be found. The keyboard is totally off. I turned off the pc and tried unplugging both and tired usb 3.0 ports, but it doesn't work. Windows starts nornally but no mouse. So I connected via Anydesk from my phone and manage to get to the Device Manager, there's no driver nor driver category to be found in there. Like keyboard and mouse even exists in windows. No inherence hardware even in the list. Check the Human Devices Interface Service, it was disabled, even more weird. Enable it and tried, nothing. Restart the pc, nothing. Service is running but no bueno. Think the entire usb hub was dead, so plug an external hard drive. Works just fine. Plug another usb mouse from my sister's pc. Not work. No usb was left untried. Non of then works. So tried to get to the bios to check if the usb hid was disabled but, of course keyboard doesn't work. Tried plugging a PS2 keyboard, it works! Ok, but I have a hybrid ps2 keyboard mouse port so i still need the usb to recognize my mouse at least. Manage to hack around with the ps2 keyboard on the bios and found nothing referring to the usb legacy mode or so. So i went to the bios battery. Unplug everything and remove the battery, left that way for half an hour. Plug the battery and turn on the pc. The bios was reset but still no usb mouse or keyboard working. Went to the CMOS reset jumper and short it. Again, another reset but no mouse or keyboard working. At this point I have a probably dead 8gb ram stick and a rouge usb hub which recognize everything but an HID. I suspect the power supply is not delivering the correct voltage. I removed every conector and clean it and connecting it again but nothing. I tried the keyboard and mouse on my sister's pc and they worked just fine. At this point i thought windows is missing the driver but even the bios does not recognize the peripherals. So my question is, can a failing power supply cause this behavior in thw usb hub? i gonna try with another Power supply tomorrow.

Hi all, So I have recently built a computer for someone. I'll cut to the chase. It boots to the desktop as you would expect. I go to play something and it's completely unplayable. Turns out the Nvidia driver's aren't installed. Okay, I download Geforce Experience and I'm constantly greeted with the 'unable to install driver' message. Why? Also the motherboard I have comes with a wifi antenna. Only problem is, the driver's aren't working? It looks like they're installed but with a ! mark, and it's not operating correctly. Tried update and repair, it's all up-to-date. So why's the wifi not finding wifi connections?! Tried wiping the pc and starting again, same problem. I'm at the point of refunding the motherboard and gpu and buying different ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Here's the parts; MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus B550i Pro AX GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660 OC 6GB

I need this feature, but my computer doesn't have it (missing wi-fi feature). I heard that all Wi-Fi cards support it, but not all adapters do. Can I download a driver or adapter that supports it? If so, where?

Hi I'm selling my old PC and plan on keeping the boot-drive and using it on my new PC as extra storage. Do I have to remove windows (and the old programs and drivers that might be on it as well) from the old SSD to use in my new PC (which already has windows installed) (if so how?) or is it just plug and play?

okay, so I got this issue a few days ago. where when I was playing Valorant my display just went black. and then I had no display output out of the GPU. while my pc was still working(i could hear audio), I got no display output. waited for a few minutes hoping for it to work again, I had no luck. I ended up just holding down the power button and restarting the pc. Surprisingly here I got the display output and headed into the bios. nothing looked weird. everything showed up fine. then when I booted into windows the system felt a little choppy than usual. I went to device manager and found out my graphics card had been disabled. probably cuz it crashed. after enabling it I got this under my GPU device status seeing it was a driver issue I reinstalled AMD drivers. after that my pc was back to normal. but I tried to load up Valorant and the same thing happened again. And I resolved the issue again using the same method. Does anyone know a way to fix this? here r my specs: Intel Core i5-4690S XFX Rx 570 4gig 240 GB SSD Asus H81M-E motherboard GPU driver installed: adrenalin-2020-21.10.2 gpuz when after the crash without reinstalling drivers

Let me start off by saying that i have a rx5700xt, and a 750w power supply. So, in many/most games that I play (apex legends/battlefield V, etc.) My monitor will go black. The issue goes deeper as it it displays a "no signal found" warning. Next, ill have to immediately shut the entire computer off. (mind you the computer itself is still running [or at least the fans and rgb are]) If i am not able to turn my computer off by the time hte monitor fully shuts off, the next time i boot up my computer my graphics drivers will be uninstalled. I tried reinstalling windows once to fix the issue, it helped for a little, but now the issue is back. Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Hey, I'm in the middle of installing my b550-e drivers and was wondering firstly if I've installed them correctly (I downloaded the zip, extracted it and double clicked on the AsusSetup thing inside for each different driver) and penultimately if I can leave the VGA and SATA drivers as the VGA requires me to remove the old one (not sure how to) and the SATA won't let me install it (perhaps because I only have an NVME drive). Finally, am I able to delete the files of the drivers in my downloads folder (zips and unzipped) once I have run the AsusSetup thing. Apologies in advance for this, kind of difficult to convey over typed text xD. Thanks for any help, Lex.

Hey, I'm getting a really obscure problem with my pc and I've been battling it for about 3 months now, I keep getting random spikes of CPU usage from the system interrupts process and from the desktop window manager process in task manager (about 40-50%) and when this happens my whole computer lags or even freezes sometimes my screens can go black too. From my research so far its a driver issue, I've updated all of my drivers, done a fresh install of windows, updated my bios and still to no avail. The problem can accour when im playing a game or even when im just watching youtube and chrome and discord are the only things i have open. Specs: CPU - Ryzen 7 2700 GPU - 2060 super Motherboard - asus x470-pro prime RAM - Corsair vengence pro, 3200MHz, 16gb OS - Windows 11 pro If anyone knows of anyways I can find what's causing this (for example some sort of monitoring software to find what's causing it) or has experienced this in the past any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hey, A friend of mine has been having fps problems with his 6700xt and we think we have narrowed it down to a gpu driver problem as he never fully cleaned the drivers off on the last update and thats when the issues began. Could anybody give me / link me to a full step by step on how to use this to fully remove the amd drivers so he can install new ones from scratch - Im a little hesitant of advising him based on what I know xD. Thanks for the help in advance, Lex.
