Hey, I'm thinking about buying a gaming PC from Cyberpower, which is about $1,200-$1,300. http://www.bjs.com/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-1tb-hdd--120gb-ssd-6gb-graphics.product.3000000000000619598?dimId=2002213 I need some help for those who are knowledgeable in computer price and specs. I've been comparing the specs and prices, but I can't wrap up my head around things, as some parts are costing several hundred dollars more, and others I'm not sure if I need it or not, like some powerful motherboards for example. I wish to get the most out out of how much money we have. I have a feeling that I could get much more out of GPU let's say. But I'm still unsure. Does anyone know better specs, or CyberPower builds for around the same price? I wish to have a computer that'll be able to game for a while Thanks.

So I brought a PC from Cyberpower US last week, and today I just found out people's comment on they crapy "standar PSU" Does this "standar PSU" really would just blow up and throw me under the bus when I am just enjoying it......? I mean what brand or what kind of realiblity they acturlly have, do I really need to swap it with a brand PSU? I'm fairly new to PC tinkering and I'm learning as we go, so I felt it would be a safe bet to go through a company, who knows how to build PCs. I decided to make my purchase through CyberPower PC after skimming a few of my other options, they had the best pricing and most customization presets. Their estimated build time is 5-10 days, it took them 15 days to process my build. I live six hours from the Cyberpower facility, so I felt this company would be the safest bet with the least chance of UPS grunts drop kicking my package off roofs. The PC left the facility in this condition. Fans: Upon receiving my package and opening it, I immediately noticed two extremely generic 120mm Apevia fans half mounted, dangling from the top of the case. It was sent with 5 rubber screws that were installed backwards. (Needed a minimum of 8 to mount them properly) These push less air than Chinese hand fans. They had mounted another in the front of the case, with another generic black fan and mix matched, black/silver screws, not fully mounted. Only two of screw holes used. AFTER READING REVIEWS ONLINE, THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON OF THEIR WORK. Enthoo Pro M: They kept the 140mm Phanteks fan that comes with the case. They also kept the optic drive cover. They would have just been nice to have of course.. CPU: Removing the rear of the case, revealed this absofuckinglute nonsense; This is unacceptable.. They seem to have .. used excessive force on the mount, thankfully PC temps are extremely fine, 21c as I type this. It's nice to know they have untrained manhandling dipshit monkies assembling these PCs. An RMA sounds like a terrible idea, having to pay the $75 shipping again, so they can use impact drills and rubber mallets to assemble it all over? No thanks. If I knew this was the quality I would have got for my build, I would have ordered the parts and built it myself, accepting any risk. This is simple a warning to any other beginner builders out there, like me, who figured this would be a safe option. TL;DR They sent 120mm fans that weren't mounted. They kept the 140mm Phanteks fan that came with my case. They man handle stripped my CPU water cooling bracket. They sent me an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard instead of the MSI z170A I paid an extra $12 for(Not a big deal but come on? Give your customers what the fuck they pay for.) Update: Since then I've rearranged everything and installed Noctura NF-F12s on this generic OEM Asetek radiator. I'd really like to get a Corsair AIO, they seem to back their product up with damage claims if the cooler faults. A little more piece of mind. The only downside is.. I've never removed or installed a water cooling unit or applied thermal paste, this is holding me back. I do have some Artic Silver 5, I preemptively ordered for maintenance or upgrades. Oddly enough shipped from Newegg NOT in a package, wrapped in bubble warp around my fan splitter cables, seems new non the less.

I would like to invest in a gaming PC, unfortunately I do not have the experience or knowledge to build it myself. For this reason I would like to buy a prebuilt gaming PC. My budget is around £500. I have searched all across the internet and the best I would find in my price range was a PC built by Cyberpower. The PC is sold on the website Very -a bit unconventional- but the best I could find for the price. This is the website link http://www.very.co.uk/cyberpower-gaming-armarda-gt-amd-a10-processor-8gb-ram-2tb-hard-drive-pc-gaming-desktop-base-unit-with-onboard-radeon-r7-6gcn-graphics-and-optional-microsoft-office-365/1600015695.prd?sku=sku17901874&aff=google&affsrc=acquisition&cm_mmc=google-_-PLA+-+Electricals-_-Electricals+-+Desktop+Computers+-+Pc+Base+Units-_-_85148977018&k_clickid=595ee8a3-77af-424b-a46f-059e6eafdf68&gclid=CMrF-oqTkcoCFUwYGwodCHEN2Q it include all specs and price. I would really appreciate it if you could correct my decisions and give me some guidance.

I was recently looking at getting a UPS for my computer (We had a power outage yesterday, that was annoying) I noticed UPS don't typically come with alot of surge protection. I had been looking at a 1500VA UPS with 865 Watts and I read that it only had a little more than 350 Joules of surge protection. My current Surge Protector has 3020 Joules of protection. What am I missing LTT? Why is there such a low amount of protection on a UPS like that? HALP! (Yes, there is an a, not an e)

Hello, I am a big fan of Linus and his media group, so when I found out he had a website I just had to sign up. Now I am creating this post for your help. I need to get to the conclusion that CyberpowerPC is legit. One problem with that is I have heard so many bad things about their company and how they don't let you talk to the managers unless you are about to cancel your order. They look legit and I am hoping to buy from them but I don't want to spend alot of my money on people who might not comply. Nerd3( http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialNerdCubed ) made a video about them a couple of years ago now about how he ordered a PC from them and got what he asked for. But he is from the UK and I am from Canada. So there might be different people in charge of the building. So please tell me in reply about your experience and your opinion about them. Thank you for reading my rant and have a fantastic evening.

Ever since I got my PC from Cyberpower in September of 2014, wonky gobshite has been going down; The PC would freeze up and fans would die down... I had no idea what was happening. I went into Catalyst and dropped down the CPU power by however little. It worked and there was no more problems. Still, the thing that caught my attention was the vicious frame rate drops that I'd get while playing any game. The best example is Space Engineers; I'd get 100+ frames per second for about twenty second bursts. After those twenty seconds, the frame rate would sharply drop to about ~5-10 regardless of graphics settings. It shoots back up to ~60-100 after one or so minutes of the downtime, but it lasts for only twenty seconds. There are no freezes affiliated with this, and it happens to every kind of game online and offline. Did I mention the dying down of the fans during this process? The fans also kick up when the frames return to a higher state. I've done a plethora of thing to fix this, non-monetary that is. The most interesting thing about this situation is the Graphics OverDrive statistics (Catalyst) while this frame-loss happens. The "Activity" during the downtime drops to zero, whereas it would have been at ~90-100%... My RAM is set to XMP Profile 2 or 3, which increases frames during the downtime. My GPU is the second of the rig. The first one, I though, was faulty. Adjusting fan speeds does nothing. For reference: DxDiagLePC.txt (P.S. I'm kind of new to the PC field...)

Hello internet, I purchased a Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD 1500VA 900W UPS unit back in October of 2014. Up until now, it seemed to run just fine. This past Wednesday, I get home and find the unit flashing and beeping constantly. From what I can tell, I can still run the unit on A/C power but the battery for some reason isn't working. I tried resetting the unit but no luck so far. Any suggestions? Video: inb4 shot in portrait mode: it was easier for me as the unit is positioned in an awkward location.

I've been browsing lots of computer building websites and Cyberpowerpc seems to be the best in terms of cheap build premium fees. I would definitely build my own rig but my mother will not allow me to because she thinks i'll screw something up and throw $800+ Down the toilet (But I know what i'm looking at in terms of computers) But oh well. A friend of mine bought a CyberPower PC (against my advice) and we have found it has a few issues. The CPU is an AMD FX overclocked to 4.52GHz, with an AIO liquid cooler (120mm rad). It was running very hot, so he replaced the cooler (with one sent from CyberPower and with their permission) and it improved slightly. We then replaced the fans on the radiator and the temps improved again. I came to do a stress test with Prime95 and the temperature started to increase very fast, but then several of the cores stopped testing due to 100 "invalid checksum" errors. The CPU runs way too hot and crashes when rendering video. I have not tested the cooler. I would love to hear from someone who has had experience with CyberPower PCs whether you think their CPU OC testing is good enough. Is it possible that the CPU is defective and we did not notice until now (over 6 months)? Could it be heat causing instability, or a bad OC causing heat? Many thanks, FizzyFantom.

I am looking for a tiny PC case. I am not into cubes though. I want a case like a Cyberpower battlebox or an Alienware X-51. I do have a PC already so I am not interested in buying the previously listed PCs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
A friend of mine bought a PC from Cyberpower (yes I offered to build one, his family don't trust me...) and we have found that the CPU is unstable. We were considering clearing the overclock, but we are concerned that this would void the warranty. Their warranty terms are very specific about increasing the clocks above what they ship it with, but they do not mention decreasing or removing an OC. Does anyone happen to know if this will void the warranty. It seems like it shouldn't, but we have a lack of confidence in their policies, and I fear that they will claim we broke it and refuse to give a refund. Any information about Cyberpower, specifically surrounding warranty and reliability would be much appreciated

I've been thinking abaout buying a laptop. I have a budget of around 2000USD. I was thinking of buying a FANGBOOK EVO HX7 with a 780m, but they don't sell laptops with that graphics card anymore, and with a 880m would be more expensive, so I looked for some other options like the G750JZ or the G750JH, I would like to buy a laptop with a big screen and nice hardware, since this will be a desktop replacement (I'm going to sale my desktop) and I will carry it not so often. BTW I'm a gamer... but you may have already realized that. I would prefer an ips panel if possible and a blacklight keyboard. Is nvidia 3d worth it? What laptop do you recomend me?

So, you wanna buy a Prebuilt PC? Dont go Cyberpower. So disappointed. I bought this build back in 2015. I7-4790k, GTX 970, 16Gigs DDR3 (originally 8 then added 8), 64gb ssd, 1tb HDD, Z97x SLI Gigabyte board Solid build, right? Well. I go to reapply thermal paste for my first EVER time on this build (ik 4 years that's bad) , and I notice the chip has gunk all over the side of it as well as ontop of the bottom pins. I remove the chip to clean with peroxide (just the top where the cooler goes) and I noticed, the left pins are covered in what looks to be, fluff and some of them are bent or broken. Absolutely awful. This PC has never had its cpu/cooler removed until today, and I was just heartbroken. I was about 14 at the time when I bought it and saved a ton of my money from a paper route and house sitting just to have a PC to play minecraft at the time. Un f*cking believable. I made a huge rant on Twitter, mind blown. Never ever had seen this with a PC before. Dont believe me? When I first bought the build, the GPU came broken as well as the motherboard fried itself. (Image linked of confirmation email of returned / replaced parts ) It also looks as if the cooler was actually drilled into my PC and not screwed, as the holes look damaged / widened. No there are no spacers removed, those look different. You can see the dust/scuf Mark's from the drills. Extremely upsetting.

This is one of the things I got on black friday Cyberpower 1500VA (900W) UPS Usually $250, but I got it for $170 from Memory Express. I was planning to buy it anyway, but it went on sale so I got it for cheaper! So far it seems to work great, accurate power measurement and since once in a while there is a power outage, this will help shut down my PC properly. Also it gives peace of mind knowing you are a bit safer from power surges killing your PC I also plugged in all my monitors and speaker system, printer, etc. into it since it has 10 plugs, more than enough. Is anyone else here using a UPS with their PC? Any good/bad experiences? Has a UPS saved your @$$ before?
