I am looking to find the best computer to run counterstrike and battlefield at medium-high settings and do not have a strict budget. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks.

I was just wondering if closed loops are really worth it. Like I've heard that the pump will die out in 2 years. I have also heard that they are don't add as much of a performance increase over some air coolers. I am interested in the H100i but I'm debating on getting one because I'm not sure if it will be worth my money in the long run. I sure as hell know its cheaper than a custom loop. The last custom loop I did was around $500. I was just curious if for around $140 I could get something similar to a custom loop, I just don't want to replace it ever few years.

Hi, I'm building a new PC that's optimised for gaming but I will need to overclock, my budget is £1200 and that's including peripherals (a mouse, mousepad, headset, keyboard and two new monitors). I also want to implement a few ROG products. I will also be using the PC to do small amounts of video editing and rendering.

Eh! I am going to be custom water cooling my PC and have two questions: 1. I am not wanting to have hard piping bents(I know it's popular)or flex tubing but I want to do it with fittings for every angle. What is this style called and what tubing/fittings should i choose? 2. I have RGB LED's and an trying to keep everything white so I can choose my colour. Which liquid should I choose. Note: fave colour is around 400nm to 450nm but i do want it to look good across the spectrum. At this point I am only going to cool my graphics card and processor because i have not found a water block for the vrm on my z97-pro (wifi) motherboard yet but this may happen eventually. Note: my case is the corsaire 700t so that is the space i am working with. Thank you all in advance!! God Bless!

So I'm planning on building my first computer and I've already got it all planned out with some help from the other times I've posted, but I plan to upgrade to a custom water cooling loop. I've been planning out the loop and looking at all my options and now I've come to a stand still. My problem is that I want to use clear tubing and dyed distilled water, but I can't find a single good piece of advice anywhere because every time someone wants to try this people tell them to just use colored tubing instead. I'm tired of hearing it, I just want to use dye. I need some help on figuring out the best combination of tubing, dye, liquid, and biocides, or if I should use a premixed coolant instead. I want my coolant to be purple, and I haven't completely decided on whether I want it to be transparent or solid. I'm leaning towards transparent because it will look awesome with some UV lighting. I'm planning on using a Phobya Balancer Black Nickle Reservoir, although I may change to a bay reservoir instead. I'm using an XSPC Raystorm CPU water block and an EK GTX 970 Nickle (Gigabyte Windforce Model) GPU Water Block and Black Backplate. I think I'm using Alphacool radiators, one 120mm and one 280mm (both 45mm thick). I could defiantly use some recommendations on the pump though. I'm still deciding on whether I want to install a fillport into my case, but I don't think I will, and on whether I want to use quick disconnects or a T valve for my drainage system. I also haven't completely decided on fittings yet, but I'm leaning towards Bitspower Black Sparkle fittings. I'm defiantly using Primochill's PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing in 3/8 ID 1/2 OD. I really appreciate any advice I can get, hopefully someone knows enough about dyes and coolants to give me an idea of what to do.

Hello Everyone! I am thinking about getting into a custom build over the summer, like seriously custom. I am willing to put all of the time and effort it takes to do everything I plan on doing (custom sleeving, hard tube liquid cooling, lighting, whathaveyou). In regards to the cable management anyway, I've hit a bit of a snag in the planning process. I want to sleeve my own OEM PSU cables and cut them to specific lengths depending on what connectors are where. My problem is that the way I intend to do this would be to use something like a mountable cable comb in order to route the cables along the backside of the motherboard tray, and I can find no such piece. Has anyone ever tried this before, and do you know what kind of fastener I'm talking about? Or perhaps a better way to go about this task? I have included a basic drawing of the way I intend to measure cable length in hopes that it will do a much better job at explaining what I want to do. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, i am new to the forum. I am planning a new wooden case build for next summer, and i am currently in the proces of designing the case. I have been drawing for a couple of weeks now and i am now at a point at which I would realy like to hear some feedback from other people. The idea was to build a pc with a small footprint (12 cm in this case) and with an atx mobo and full length GPu's. All the exterior panels are removable and can be exchanged for other panels when I want another look. Under the top, front and bottom panels there will be RGB lighting. The inside wil also have RGB lighting. Cooling is done by 7 80mm fans pulling air out of the case. This wil cause negative air pressure so air will be pulled in through the filtered side panel. Any questions? Post a message. Please do not comment on my English, it is not my native language. Here are some screenshots: (see other pages of this thread for updates on the design) Link to gallery: http://linustechtips.com/main/gallery/album/2837-planned-summer-build/

I am building a PC and I am wondering if this is a nice build for the price. I am getting someone to build it for me as I dont have the time to do it. This is my first time picking my own parts etc but I am hoping I will be getting the best bang for my buck. I will be mostly gaming and doing a little rendering and video editing. SPECS: CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz (3.4GHz Turbo) Motherboard: MSI B85M-E45 mATX LGA1150 B85 DDR3 3 SATA 1PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 SATA3 USB3.0 HDMI RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX Fury Black 1866 Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270 Gaming LE TwinFrozr IV 900/975MHZ 2GB 5.6GHZ GDDR5 HDMI 2DVI VGA PCI-E SSD: Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB HHD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache Case: Inwin 703 Black&Red PSU: EVGA 600B 80+ Bronze 600w Total: 960$CAD with Windows, assembly and tax included Is this a decent build for the price I am planing on maybe upgrading somethings later but nothing really to soon. I am going to get a couple Cooler Master R4-L2R 20AC Fans for the case as it only comes with 1 pre-installed, will that be ok to keep a decent air flow & temp? Also do you guys recommend the BenQ RL2455HM or the BenQ GL2460HM?

So in planning to get my sleeving job started soon, but I just want some opinions on the layout. pattern 1 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ pattern 2 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ pattern 3 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ pattern 4 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ pattern 5 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ pattern 6 http://choosemypc.net/sleeving/ Pattern 6 is just a vote for a random non-pattern
-
So I plan on making my own custom sleeve job and it's going to be custom length right down to the wire (no pun intended). My question is does either gauge make the job easier? make the psu run more stable? or just give better bends?

If any body has any epic water-cooled builds or case mods and would not mind me using them on my website, with credit of course. i would really appreciate it.

I have been trying to build an ULTIMATE Workstation Build but i can't find the perfect 'no compromises' motherboard. I was wondering if anyone knew any manufacturers/ organisations that help you design and build a completely custom motherboard? Or instead is there a place that sells just chipsets, VRMs, DIMM slots, PCI slots, sata ports, etc... that you can buy and use to build a custom motherboard. Sort of like building a custom PC but the separate mobo parts instead of PC parts? Any help would be useful. Please do not suggest motherboard that already exist as i have checked everyone and my need are like 10 PCIe slots 32 m.2 slots 34 sata 6 slots 32 DIMMs quad cpu etc... Any other custom part makers would help too. Like someone who would build you a custom CPU itself or GPU, etc.... Thanks

Hello! I am currently working on a new upgrade to my current PC, which can be found here - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fw8kK8 I am looking into graphics cards, and will be purchasing them at a later date than the rest of the system, and will use the card I currently have EVGA GTX 750Ti SuperClocked in the build until I can purchase the new card(s). I am would like to find cards (this board supports both SLI and Crossfire, not sure how though) that can give me very good gaming performance at a good price. I am looking for something that will give me better performance over my (non-SLI capable) GTX 750, but not break the bank. I have 3 PCIe x16 slots to work with, so any suggestions are welcome!

Hi everybody, I've decided that I'm going to create a custom liquid cooling loop and as this is my first experience with water cooling, I was looking for some help please from the community. At the moment I have the hardware: Case: Fractal Define S Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger GPU: MSI GTX 970 CPU: Intel I7 4790k PSU: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular I have a budget of £400. Although I would like to go a little cheaper if possible. I'm based in the UK, so I would appreciate UK related shops/prices, as shipping from the US can be quite expensive. I have been looking at water cooling kits, yet there are a lot which don't fit my needs. Such as too thick a radiator, reservoir being too small. too expensive etc. As I don't have much experience, I've been looking at other builds to base mine off of. Here is one I'm very fond of: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/73352-project-armad... Although mine is going to be a red/black theme. I would like to keep a lot of the build similar looking, except I won't be using a RAM water cooling block. I am looking to cool the CPU and GPU and have possible two 240mm radiators. (Depending on if you think it would be the best setup) The above link is from 2013, so I'm afraid parts may have upgraded since then, At the moment, I've been looking at the following components: GPU block: EK-FC970 GTX TF5 - Acetal+Nickel (£79 - EKWB) CPU block: EK-Supremacy EVO (£45 - EKWB) Radiator: EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple) EK-CoolStream PE 240 (Dual) (£100 - EKWB) Pump: Laing D5 Vario Pump (£68 Scan) Reservoir: Bitspower Z-Multi 150mm Water Tank (£30 Overclockers) Tubing: TUBE PrimoChill PrimoFlex™ Advanced LRT™ 19,1 / 12,7 mm - Crystal Clear RETAIL 3m (I'm not sure how many fittings I would need or the tubing length. Or even if all these parts are compatible to be honest. It was easier to build my PC itself on Part picker with the compatibility list) In all honestly, this build is very unnecessary as my PC is quite cool at the moment. I want to future proof this and build a water loop as a project. I was wondering if I could please get your opinions on what you believe would be the best set up for a customer water loop that would be visually appears and remain within my budget, or if all my parts are compatible. Whilst I have been doing my own research into this such as Youtube videos, forums, I really would appreciate the communities opinions on how this can be developed even further as I'm quite new to this and others may have thoughts or suggestions for components which I may have overlooked that could greatly benefit this project. If you need any more information, please feel free to ask. Thank you for reading.

Hello! I have been interested in doing a custom water loop for quite some time now, However I have always loved somewhat smaller cases. (My current case is the Corsair Air 240) I am willing to get a slightly larger (mid tower) to allow for an easier time doing my first water loop as I think I would struggle too much attempting to do one in a mATX form factor. I have seen the S340 which looks like it might be smallish but also have a good amount of space for a loop. I will most likely be building using parts from my current PC (https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/f2TH99) and eventually adding in a second 970 in SLI. I'd also quite like a side window, and nothing too "gamer" looking I guess, something minimal and stylish is probably more what im looking for. Any good tips or advice for this magical case I am in search of?

could anyone list me some good water cooling parts for a custom loop for my pc. case:corsair 760t cpu: 15 4690k gpu:gtx 970 g1 radiator capacity: 2x 280mm or 2x240 budget:cheap as possible but cn go to around £200

Hey guys new comer here, heard this forum is really friendly. I wanted you guys to review my build from 2013. I have been itching for an upgrade but some of my friends have told me that with my given specs an upgrade is not really needed as of yet. What do you guys think? If an upgrade is recommended what should it be? Thank you all. So my build is: AMD FX-Series FX-8350 (4.0GHz) 16GB DDR3 2TB HDD 7200rpm NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 650W 80plus bronze certified power P.S. any software recommendations that help my computer? Such as keep it clean, make it so that it does not become sluggish, etc?

I am looking to upgrade to a new PC [http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Cr4ct6] I would like to be able to not make many changes to the current parts shown (with the exception of fan sizes and amout) I would like to be able to use the dual rad that I currently have, but can adjust that if needed. On a side note, what's the point of a dual rad vs. a single rad? Spending less that $100 USD is optimal, a little more is definitely doable but not preferred. I want space, good cooling, and something that's got a nice sleek look (hopefully with a window, and black or white) and good build quality and enough space to support 2 GPUs, the water cooler, 2-3 HDDs, 1 SDD, and 2 "disc drives". Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
