Hello, since I built my pc I have been experiencing freezes and lags although I have a good cooler for my cpu, and a decent gpu and cpu. I have tried swapping the ram, and it fixed the problem a little bit, I have thoughts that it might be my vertical gpu mount but I want to know first what the issue can be. I have'nt experienced a BSOD but after my pc has been on for a while (can change from time to time how long it takes until it does that) I also have a pretty reliable ssd that have good reviews and all my drivers are up to date too. The thing I'm a bit worried about is that my ram rgb is lagging when my pc is on heavy (but not that heavy) load, could it be the Icue software that causes this freezing and lag? Could it be the power outlet? If you want specs and temps here they are: 5700X 35-57C° 4070 28-70C° 64gb 3200mhz ram Nothing is overclocked I am reposting this because of no answers on my last post. Just a reminder if you want to see my replys and stuff make sure to follow the topic, thank you.

My budget it's 650$ for a whole pc and i have been searching for a lot of cheap gpus and the first one that I find was the rx 580, but his TDP gets up to 150w while the A380 get at 75w and in the benchmarks that I have saw theyre performance are really similar with only a difference of 25$ (A380 120$). I also want to pair them with a 12100f cause of his compability with ddr5 and pcie5 (also his 100$ price). So which it's the best option? or it's there any other gpu or cpu that could be better for a similar price??

Hello everyone, I don't know if this is the right section to ask but... I'm going to change the thermal paste of my laptop and I was looking up online and everyone is saying to use isopropyl alcohol but I don't have it with me. Is there any substitute for it? Thanks in advance

As per the title, would it be worth it to take advantage of the upcoming end of the return window to upgrade? the return window for my R5 5600 closes on the 31st Jan. The cpu works fine but i was recently reminded of the return window and saw the 5800x3d staring at me from my saved items list. I bought the 5600 for £121.99 (Amazon UK) and the 5800X3d is currently at £290 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d-cache-eight-core-4.5ghz-socket-am4-processor-retai-cp-3d0-am.html Note: I play 1440p 170Hz Should I update the bios? and will my PSU be able to handle both my CPU & GPU? Hi Guys. I recently bought a new pc with an i7-12700k, RTX 3060 and 32gb DDR4. I've had my current PC for 5 years and it's on it's last legs. My new pc is due to arrive in the coming days however i put the specs into a bottleneck calculator and it says i'll have a 20% CPU bottleneck. Is this really bad? Thanks.

Need new am4 cpu for unraid My 3800xt seemingly died. One board it posts but no usb work. Other board no post gets stuck on vga but displays an underscore in the upper left corner. My 5800x3d is currently chilling in the server and the gaming rig is down with the 3800xt. Both boards are x570. Msi in the gaming rig. Asrock in the server. I'm looking for a replacement cpu and eyeballing the 5950x. My server has a few roles from plex to a windows server to a minecraft server.

MSI b650 gaming plus EZ debug red cpu and orange dram
JesusTouchMe posted a topic in Troubleshooting
It's exactly what the title says. I have Ryzen 5 7500f and 32gb (2x16) of ddr5 Kingston Fury I've tried: One ram stick and no ram stick Popping out the cmos battery, waiting 10 minutes before putting it back in Flashing bios Checking bent pins, even sent a macro picture to a friend and still nothing Letting it just run for 15 minutes Reseating the cpu and cooler None of these have worked for me. Any help would be appreciated- 3 replies

Budget (including currency): Low as possible due to not planning on a CPU upgrade yet, but I do value well value over price. Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details: This will replace an I5 8600k and be paired with a RX 7800 XT OC. I just made the GPU purchase and I knew I'd bottleneck but worse than I expected (CS2 stutters) Thinking of giving AMD a go since I have for GPU. I've attached the 6 I'm thinking mostly at Scan.co.uk due to PayPal Credit being an option. I'd be happy to drop to the Ryzen 5 options too. but wanted to know what people thought would be a good "Value" match. I'm going AM4 due to having 32GB of DDR4 Ram I want to keep using at 3200Mhz. I will need a board and Cooler too! But I'm a little more clued up on Mobo and cooling just not CPU so much.

hello, i need to upgrade my cpu, i'm currently running a r5 3600, which does his work buy i need to change it, the only problem is the mobo, as u can see by my pc (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GJs9Fs) i'm currently running a gigabyte b450m ds3h, i want to switch to a r7 5800x3d or a similar cpu (same gaming performance), my budget is max 300€/310€, if u think mobo could't run that cpu please suggest a good combo (cpu+mobo) i should buy for the same price. thanks

Hey I just got a new motherboard and cpu and ram and the pc was working the other day but when i tried reinstalling the cpu fan the pc stopped working and now every time i turn it on i get no display but it turns on and then i get a CPU and DRAM light and then the PC reboots and keeps rebooting every 20 seconds making a bootloop. I recently got new parts and put it into my build so I got a new motherboard the b660m pro rs, new cpu the 12600kf, and DDR4 ram 16gb and I can't test if its the ram or cpu because my old rig was pretty bad I had a i7 4770, ddr3 16gb and a good motherboard if it was 2013 lol. its not the power supply i checked it its getting enough power i have a 500 watt psu and my GPU is a 1650 Super which doesn't take up much at all. I've already tried all the basics like reseating cpu, reseating ram, reseating power connectors, and clearing cmos so yeah. What do you guys think? I really hope the motherboard isn't dead or the CPU I don't mind if its the ram tho.

As described in the title, I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600 in NZXT's H1 case with the built-in 140mm AIO and PSU (detailed specs below). This has been a long-running issue, but has slowly gotten worse over time. My CPU temp stays locked at 75C+ while at idle. While running a game--for example Destiny 2 @ medium settings--it's pegged at 96C and won't cool down. Have tried a couple of different solutions (listed below) but with no success. This is my first PC I built myself, and although I'm pretty technical, I'm struggling to figure out what I could try next for solutions. Any help/suggestions are appreciated! I've attached a screencap of HWMonitor, programs currently open are Discord, Chrome, and HWMonitor. Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AMD Radeon RX 5500XT ASRock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac 16GB DDR4 RAM NZXT H1 Case + 140mm AIO + 750W PSU Windows 10 v22H2, build 19045.3930 1920x1200 display Can provide additional details if necessary Attempted solutions: Adjusting fan curve Cleaning dust filters Removing top/sides of case Unscrewing AIO+Fan and letting run outside case Tightening screws on CPU block Replacing thermal paste on CPU Updating drivers Additional Details: Unsure if these details are related, but here they are just in case. 1. I get a lot of instability, PC crashes/BSODs somewhat frequently (once every couple weeks or so). Many times, I will need to reinstall my graphics drivers for some reason, not sure why. Again, could be unrelated. 2. Was subject to a lot of power cuts ~1 year ago, over the summer running a portable AC on the same circuit would trip the breaker in the apartment, causing immediate shutdown.

after a year of saving i have just finished building my pc, and nothing is responding. the cpu light is on, and i cant really troubleshoot to see whats wrong as i dont have any spare parts lying around. specs: mobo- msi mag b550 tomahawk cpu - ryzen 79700g gpu - (still saving up for it) ram - Kingston fury 2 x 16GB storage- i have a 4tb Seagate hdd, and a 400GB Kingston ssd the fans spin to life and the rgb comes on, but my monitor never gets any form of signal. I believe its my cpu that's the problem and not the mobo socket, as when the processor arrived from amazon there were some bent pins but i managed to get them straight again with some tweezers. allso when i turn it on and everything else is on the cpu dosent change in temp without a cooler on it.

Hii I'm using asus rog strix g512li.. My CPU frequency is stuck at 788Mhz, I have no overheating issues with my laptop and apart from that I have actually cleaned it again but sadly I am not seeing any change. My laptop is mostly on turbo mode but the CPU frequency is just 788Mhz doesn't matter what I do like Games Or any software..it doesn't increase a bit until I restart it 2-3 times for few seconds. Is there any solution for this

im currently using a ryzen 7 5700x with a ID cooling 67xt on a matx build, the pc is quite small. is it alright for the idle temps to be around 45-55? it also takes a while to cooldown. the case im using is a jonsbo c6 with 2 140mm fans on top and buttom and 1 120mm exhaust for the front. I already tried making the top as exhaust and front as intake but the temps are worse in that config

Hello everyone. I've looked at this page which is "A Brief Guide to [Intels] Latest Processor and Naming Updates". I didn't get it within 10 minutes of reading it. Can someone please summarize what is important to look for? Information I'm looking for: What are the most modern nodes Intel is using in mobile CPUs currently? What are the processors with this technology actually called? (like actual names. Like 7840U or the... 13 idk 60P ?) What in these naming conventions do I actually have to be mindful of? (like 12th Intel no Us or no 7020s with AMD) Any further notes about what you feel is important to know about the current intel offerings? Thanks for your help! - J Edit: Oh, and it would also be nice to know which of the CPUs you named are actually gonna be used in Laptops. Because some SKUs just seem to only exist as numbers.

I have an RTX 3070 and an i5-11400 and a 650W PSU (Tier B) And i tried my best to figure out what's going on but i can't seem to do so? I play games perfectly fine, no stutters no artifacts no weird colors or shapes nothing at all. Card doesn't overheat too it tops at 64C in winter, 70C In summer. It's an Asus TUF 3070. Has anyone else experienced this before?? Me and my friend are honestly freaking out thinking its bad Drivers or our gpu's are dying even tho he has a 1660 Super. Any ideas ?

i had overheating problems early(ish) 2023 until i upgraded some parts (cpu, aio, mobo) and it was all solved, until recently, my cpu(r9 5900x) started to have overheating problems, where i turn the pc on and it is on 90c and rises to 110 where it crashes in a minute or two. i can feel the vibrations in the pump but cannot feel air coming from the top of the radiator, i cleaned the radiator with compressed air and reapplied thermal paste but i am still having the problem, should i just buy a new cooler or is there an easier fix?

I'm planning to buy computer parts to upgrade my existing PC. I want to buy an Intel Core i5 13600K, but in my place, the only one available is an Intel Core i5 13400. Do I wait for the i5 13600k to be available? I want to have an overclocking CPU so that, in the future, I can overclock. I have a RTX 3060 Ti GPU. What are the good pairs for my GPU? option for i5 and i7? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I ve already posted this topic, but now it is new problem. So I & the guy that was following the topic, thought that it is due CPU overheat. But temps are normal. Also I cleaned PC and applied new thermal paste. Here is the link od topic, there are HWMonitor stats, and all: Then after all that done, it again appears. I mean, it havent been and then I got windows update. And again comes. I dont know is it due windows updates, but also if I need to revert back. It is hard cus that mf windows was updateing nearly every day. Everyday I go Shutdown and Update. Never had this issue. Also I noticed that , because I have TV connected as monitor, it is near plug for my phone to charge. When Placing or pulling charger out of plug. It goes green screen on second and went back. But now it goes randomly.

So I am currently thinking of ditching my stationary system (AMD FX-8350) in exchange for a laptop (Intel Core I7-12650H), since the biggie is basically living it's last months, yet I've seemingly stumbled into a bit of a pickle. According to cpubenchmark.net, AMD FX-8350 has GHz of 4.0 on start, and Intel Core I7-12650H has a 2.3 GHz start, which at first made me think that the processor is low end, yet according to single-core stats, the I7 has a core rating almost twice as much processing power. I decided to use the userbenchmark (I know, bad source) in hopes that it'd contain even slightly untainted data (FX-8350's existed since 2011 I believe, so maybe the administration didn't bother to change the stats for it?), with it showing the same results. As such, I have 3 conclusions: 1. The processor is downright awful but somehow passes benchmarks (unlikely) 2. Benchmarks contain improper data (maybe) 3. I am going insane and don't actually know how the GHz's work in terms of CPU processing power. So, could anyone help me figure this one out, if it even makes sense, and did I choose an actual upgrade and not just a brick? Cheers? P.S: According to some reviews, I7-12650H is junk, but I avoid relying on that data.

So I have an old HP computer that I'm tinkering with and upgrading, mostly just for fun. It's the HP Pavilion p7-1027c if that's useful info at all. It came with an i3-2100 cpu, and I wanted to upgrade that to an i7-2600k. I got a used one from ebay and installed it. Upon booting, I got the unsupported cpu installed error. From what I read before buying it, these two cpus use the same socket, that being LGA1155. I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff, but I can think of a few possible issues. Being an HP computer, it may have a weird motherboard that specifically limits the upgradability of certain components. I know Dell and HP are kind of notorious for that. It may also be a power issue, but I highly doubt it because I've already swapped the stock psu with a 500w 80 plus unit. It may also have been an error on my part with the installation of the new cpu. It's the first time I've actually removed and replaced a cpu, and I know it's not one of the more difficult parts of pc building, but maybe I screwed something up. Anyway, does anyone know what the issue likely is, and if there may be a way I can solve it and still use the i7 in this pc? If not, oh well. I'm not out much. But improving my processing power would be nice.

Hi all! I noticed unusual spikes (thus throttling) in CPU temperature during gaming, which is not typical of my experience. Despite my laptop having effective cooling, I am accustomed to a more consistent temperature graph. Is it possible that the thermal paste needs replacement, given that my laptop is around a year old and the fans are free of dust? Please refer to the two graphs and the laptop's PDF specifications below; I own the 3060 version. Lenovo_Legion_5_Pro_16ITH6H_Spec.pdf
