Hey, im upgrading my build from my present one. My present one is: CPU: g3258 GPU: Asus 280x directcuii HDD: Corsair force ls 120gb MOBO: Asrock h81 hds 2.0 PSU: EVGA 650 GQ 80+gold i'll keep the psu, hdd, and gpu(i will upgrade this later) for now. I got 2 ideas for an upgrade, but i'd like you guys input on which one to pick I'd like to start streaming for real a bit, and I mostly just play stuff like league, smite, dota 2, csgo, a bit of Total war, want to play rainbow six siege(but not really possible on my cpu). And of course overwatch when it comes out I only want to stream league Build 1: Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 8GB 2133 CL14 - Dual - Fury Black MOBO: ASUS Z170-A CPU: CORE I7-6700K 4.00GHZ Case: NZXT Source 340 vs Build 2: Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5G RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 8GB 2133 CL14 - Dual - Fury Black Case: NZXT Source 340 Miditower MOBO: ASUS Z170-A In my country build 1 is actually more expensive than build 2. There is actually a 140 $ difference between the cpu's alone(and we very rarely have any sales on popular hardware) I just want it to be silent, and streamable at 1080p 60fps. Then next month ill do some white sleeved extension cables(and other bling) + samsung 950 + new gpu Ty for any help :))

I built a computer about a week ago, (specs: I7 6700k, 16gb DDR4, Asus Maximus 8 hero, evga 750 g2, and hyper 212 evo. It has been working fine for the most part (for some reason every now and then the screen would go black for a few seconds and then come back) but last night i had to turn it off and nothing was responding (Cnt-alt-Dlt, mouse, keyboard, everything wasn't working) so i held the power button on the case until it turned off. Now, when i turn it on, the fans turn on, but nothing displays, and the rgb light in the middle of the mobo is flashing red. On top of this it sounds like the fans are spinning faster then normal. Any help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks! P.S. One of my friends suggested removing the ram (i don't have a dedicated GPU... yet... hoping to get a 980TI cause having overkill thinks is fun ) and try to turn on the pc while there was only a cpu and cpu cooler in the system, when i did that, the fans still all started to spin up and the q code was 53.

I am gonna build my first gaming PC and was wondering what parts should I get. I want to play games at 50-60fps 1080p on ultra settings on most games. I also don't know how to overclock so it would be better if I didn't need to. Thanks

Hey. I was wondering wether i should keep the current motherboard, ram, and psu i have and just upgrade to a 4790k + new case, cooler, more ram, and possibly gpu and then upgrade to a new motherboard later on. or Upgrade motherboard + cpu(i7 4790k) and case, and cooler but not the GPU, and just go for the same amount of ram or Upgrade to the skylake socket and get a 6700k + case, and ram + a lower end cooler, and no new GPU This is my current build: CPU: G3258 GPU: Asus 280x directcuii MOBO: Asrock h81 HDS 2.0 RAM: 8GB Hyperx fury 1600mhz Cooler: Stock intel cooler

I'm thinking about upgrading my cpu. I currently have the 3258. I'm thinking about just getting a 4790k and then in a month or two get a new motherboard, case, 8 gigs of more ram, and get some bling But i was also thinking about getting a lower end skylake motherboard and a 6600k, and then do the same thing as before. my current motherboard has a h81 chipset.

Hi! This one is kind of a pickle and probably tickles someones insides in a way only old technology can. I need you to find me parts to hunt down for this build to succeed. My current build consists of: AMD Phenom II X4 965BE Asrock 970 Extreme4 8GB 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Asus HD 7850 DCUII 120gb Kingston V300 SSD as boot drive 1tb external drive as mass storage (I know, probably not the best solution but im rocking with what I have after my previous HDD broke) Super Flower 400W 80Plus Gold PSU Antec Three Hundred Two v3 I do think I need something with a PCIE16x lane for graphics but this shouldn't be a problem with LGA1366 (I think). USB3 will be achieved with a pcie add-in card so I can continue to use my external HDD as mass storage for games. 1. Budget & Location There is no clear budget as I'm only planning, but somewhere in the lines of 400-550EUR, preferably in the lower end. I am able and willing to use my current components such as the storage drives. 2. Aim The aim is to build a rad multi processor PC inside a coffee table of sorts into my future apartment, the table I will mod myself from something from IKEA and isn't included in the budget. The budget shows that I'm not looking for LGA2011 with dat DDR4. Instead I've thought about LGA771 and 1366, whichever will be better. I am thinking about making it as clean as possible, with the cables neatly bundled up like in Linus' under-the-desk build due to the fact it will be inside of a coffee table, with a glass top. The main milestone to be reached is to at least double the performance of my current PC. 3. Monitors I will be running it from a TV, with a resolution no higher than 1080p. Isn't included in the budget, will purchase separately. 4. Peripherals I will use my current peripherals. 5. Why are you upgrading? Just because tech and computers have always been a part of my life and a passion of mine, and just because it would be cool to have a coffee table with he

Hi, I am soon going to start building my own pc, so need to work in a anti-static safe environment. I know an anti-static wrist strap would not cost a lot, but I was just wondering if I could possibly improvise one at home. Is it possible to just wrap a copper wire around your wrist and then connect that to a turned off power supply which is plugged in? Will that work? Is there any other way of creating a safe anti static working environment without having to spend those extra 10 dollars? Thanks very much!

We can't have one person determine which brand is the best. What we have to do is which part is good from your view & explain why. Be clear on what part you are posting. Don't just say it is good. Explain how it is good. Benchmarks are not required, but they are recommended. I am very strict on benchmarks. Don't use 3DMark for benchmarks. I suggest FPS benchmarks & timing benchmarks. I HIGHLY recommend that you also post a link to the reviews of the part you recommended. Right: I recommend the Intel Core i7 4790K because even though it has a successor, the i7 6700K, it is still a solid CPU for gaming & content creation. You can see the benchmarks for gaming with the GTX 980 here & Adobe Photoshop & Premiere CC here. Click here to learn more about this part. I recommend this Samsung SSD because there are a lot of positive reviews, has a good capacity for storing your important applications, & is a really good bang for your buck because it's $90 for 250GB. Click here to see it on PCPP. I recommend the BitFenix Pandora MATX because it doesn't take much space, has good airflow, & it looks beautiful. Click here to see it on PCPP. I recommend this GTX 980 because it can do solid 1080P gaming & if you SLI can play games at 1440P & 4K. There are a lot of positive reviews. Click here for review, here for benchmarks, & here for the parts. Wrong: Intel Core i7 4690K GTX 980 because it is amazing for video editing. AMD FX 9590 because it is awesome/really fast/has 8 cores. I recommend the 1X8 Crucial case. BitFenix Please don't try to shoot people's comments down & start flamewars. I accept constructive criticism if you disagree.

Hi all, Frist time posting here. I'm looking to build my first rig for gaming, streaming and some video editing. I've compiled a components list and I was hoping I could get some feedback on my selections. I struggled to decide on a few parts of the hardware, mostly the ram and also whether or not I should use a 1151 motherboard. Any way here's my list and any criticism good or bad would be appreciated. cpu: i7 5960X Extreme Edition cpu cooler: Fractal Design S36 modo: Asus X99-Deluxe/U3.1 gpu: EVGA Geforce GTX Titan X Superclocked 12GB memory: G.Skill 4 2800 32GB (4x8) storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 1TB SSD storage: Western Digintal Black 2TB psu: EVGA 850W monitor: Acer Predator XB270HU case: Enthoo Pro keyboard: CM Storm Quickfire Rapid-i Thanks.

Hello everyone. I'm building a new gaming pc. I need some help in chosing components. Some of them I decided myself , but I need your help to get other. My budget is 450$ (can go maximum to 500$ if can do better), that is around 400€ (can go maximum to 450€ if can do better). I plan to use my PC for mostly gaming, video editing my videos for youtube and live streaming league of legends and minecraft. Also I want to run Witcher 3 atleast Low-Med settings 60fps , if possible higher. Required components : FX-6300 or FX-8350 (best low budget build cpus out there) 1TB HDD (whichever, just be 7200rpm) Other things are your choice. Also, if possible use de.pcpartpicker.com or it.pcpartpicker.com becouse prices are more equal to mine here in Croatia. You do not have to use those 2 , but if you did it would help me a lot. This is just an example of what I tought of : http://it.pcpartpicker.com/p/ h24FkL Btw I'm planning on overclocking the cpu with the stock cooler and the max it can get is 3.8ghz with stock as I've heard. EDIT : I just noticed its 500€, just nvm, build one for 450€ if you can it would help me a lot

Hello! I am going to build a more compact/portable PC, and already have a couple parts, as well as a pretty strict budget. The budget being around $80. The goal of this computer is to be a bit more powerful than an average computer, be portable and relatively smaller, and to be as cheap as possible. I already have a A6 5400k, (FM2+) and two sticks of four gig ram at 240pins (consider the storage and OS taken care of). So I'd like everyone's opinion on what I should do here, I'd like to put the afore mentioned parts in this PC, so I need a motherboard, case, and PSU. Please comment below, what case you would recommend, tips to keep the overall price down and such. A couple more things: I consider the Cooler Master Elite 1X0 series and Haf 915Xs small enough, and ITX is ok if it's cheap enough. Thanks in advance! Note: I know this is nigh impossible, so I'm not asking for specific parts. ANYTHING constructive about more portable PCs will be appreciated. -LtStaffel

Hi I am from the UK and I am planning on building my first PC soon. I am on a budget and have noticed components are a lot cheaper in the US. If I buy all the components from the US will they work like normal when the PC is built and been used in the UK? As I said this is my first build and I dont want to buy everything and it not to work. The components are: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Overclocked Intel Core i5-4690K Processor Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 5 LGA 1150 Corsair CX Series 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 744 Power Supply CX750M WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive Kingston Technology 240GB Solid State Drive Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid Tower Gaming Case (I already have the RAM)

Hello, since my pc is now old I decided to build my new one instead of buying it pre-made. I am new to pc hardware so I would like to know if these ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7nqVyc ) components are fully compatible and if there are some improvements i could make without changing the cost very much. Some of the components are generic such as the main drive, the monitor, the gpu and the optical drive. So I would also like to know which 1tb drive i should buy and what gtx 970 i should buy(ASUS,MSI, or Gigabyte)
