After embarking on my quest to find the ultimate gaming peripherals for my future setup I come on a stop in my quest with a choice of a keyboard to ponder. Now, my needs are for gaming as well as typing long paragraphs, so it must be a compromise between both, and it must be black and white only, or all black with LED's, or all white. The keyboard must have macro keys (at least 2) and a windows disable key as well as anti-ghosting. And now we come to the biggest specification of all switch types. Now to me, the Romer g switches from Logitech are an absolute joke. That paired with their mediocre key caps bring me to tears on the poor design of Logitech's keyboard. And yes Romer-G lovers, let the hate comments commence! I love the feel of the Cherry MX blue switches but they can get noisy at times, and I also love the reds. The corsair k95 RGB with red switches look extremely attractive as well as the corsair k70 RGB with blue switches. Sadly stores like FRY'S and Best Buy require me to buy the keyboard before I can try it out which is the only whole reason I go to these stores in the first place and not buy my tech products online. I will have to go of the words of someone who is experienced and if not satisfied will return the product. I mainly play FPS games and would like a wrist rest included but not something too hard. And please nothing razer! EDIT: I DO NOT MIND THE SOUND OF THE BLUE SWITCHES AND AM PERFECTLY OKAY WITH ANY KEYBOARD THAT HAS BLUE SWITCHES IN IT!

Hi, I'm thinking on buying a Corsair k70 Cherry MX Red keyboard and I would like to receive some feedback from some of you guys who own one. Have you encountered any type of problem? Connection problem, backlight giving out, keys not working properly or media key problem? Thanks for any feedback.

Hello, I want to know if I should buy Corsair Strafe with Cherry MX Reds (for about 120€) or Corsair K70 Rapidfire with Cherry MX Speed (for about 150€). Is Cherry mx Speed worth it, or should I buy Strafe with MX Red?

Hello everyone, I'm struggling searching for a keyboard with those features: - Tenkeyless (or, as I saw the QuickFire TK, short but with the numeric keypad) - Cherry MX Red - Stealth keycaps - Led backlight As I searched for a keyboard with those features, I couldn't find anything that had the whole package. This raised a question, should I buy a KB that has everything but the stealth keycaps and later replace them? What KB delivers a good package with the aforementioned features for a good price that is worth buying? Should I buy the Quickfire TK Stealth and replace the Brown switches (on amazon.it the only QF sold has brown switches, otherwise I'd have bought it without a second thought)? Can it even be done? Thank you for your help, EMENCII

I know they're fairly rare now but I can't find any decent Keyboards with Cherry MX Green switches. Yes I could use blue and brown but to me nothing is quite as good as a green. So yeah, if anyone can recommend to me a good Green switch Keyboard I would be very appreciative.

Hi I'm new to this forum and I have been researching on mechanical keyboards for about a month now. I live in the Philippines (it's in south east asia) and I'm on a budget of roughly $90 for a mechanical keyboard. I'm not sure what my priority is in looking for a mech keyboard but I've read about the e-element keyboard on massdrop (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/e-element-rgb-keyboard) and I've also found the Motospeed inflictor on Gearbest.com (http://www.gearbest.com/keyboards/pp_298472.html).Both of which sport the Outemu blue switches. I feel like getting a mechanical keyboard that is Full size, Cherry mx switches (If possible, but Kailh would be good enough) and colored backlighting~ What keyboards could you guys suggest? (PS this is my first personal mechanical keyboard but I've had experience in using them) Thanks~

I don't think these are cherry (highly doubt) but this is still a great option if you want to get into mech keyboards without breaking the bank on a $70+ keyboard. http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=114&cp_id=11401&cs_id=1140102&p_id=13785&AID=11051853&PID=7060520&utm_medium=11051853&utm_source=cj&utm_campaign=ign-deals&ref=cj&utm_term=Ziff+Davis%2C+LLC-1583972

Hello, I was wondering what you guys think are the best custom key caps for mechanical keyboards. I am looking at http://www.maxkeyboard.com/ but I want to hear other people's opinions. Thanks in advance

So I figured that I would spend a little more in my upcoming build for either an MX Blue or MX Brown keyboard but I'm not sure which switch is the more well rounded switch for typing and gaming. Because most of the videos I've seen over the years has been that the MX Blue is better for typing and the MX Brown is better for gaming. I think a lot of those videos said that MX Black was a combination of the MX Brown and Blue but the problem is it doesn't seem like there are a lot of MX Black keyboards around. Anyways my question was about the build quality of both the keyboard, I read somewhere that the G710+ had some issues with the key caps cracking or breaking after mild to moderate use and I wasn't sure if Logitech has since fixed that or if the G710+ still has that problem. I would consider using the G910 but Romer-G had a weird feeling to me when I was at a store that had one on display. The key caps felt a little weird but I did actually kind of like it, though I recall that they were a little heavier than the MX Red and a little lighter than whatever the Razer Chroma is using. I might as well mention what mouse I plan on using, that will be the MX Master, I'm not too concerned with DPI of the sensor but mostly concerned with the feel in the hand of the mouse and the MX Master sounds like the best option for that.

I'm about to purchase my first mechanical keyboard and I have chosen to go with the Corsair Strafe RGB. Since I have never owned a mechanical keyboard and the only one I have tried is a Razer Blackwidow Chroma at a friends house, I am stuck on what type of switch to go with and I have to local stores which let me try some keyboards out I cannot really decide. Originally I was going to go with the MX Browns but I am unsure, I mostly play games and do a bit of typing. If anyone would like to recommend which type of switch to go with or even another keyboard I am open to suggestions.

So, as the title says, I'm looking to ascend the steps from my current keyboard (Razer DeathStalker - please don't hate me) to a mechanical keyboard. At the moment my setup uses a KVM switch between my PC and my MacBook Pro, so the keyboard would have to be something that fits for both OS (not really an issue, only gripe is the different OS key layouts between Windows and Mac OS X). Here's what I'm looking for with my new keyboard: Cherry MX Red or Brown Backlit Keys (single or RGB LEDs) 10 Key-Less Wrist rest (I'd prefer to have one built in or one that can be attached) US layout (I live in the UK but I'm Canadian and can't get my head around another layout. Its seemingly impossible to get a US layout in the UK...) At the moment I'm looking at 3 different keyboards, but either they're sold out or they are not available in US layout anywhere within the UK. Corsair K65 RGB - love the size and built in wrist rest Cooler Master Storm Quickfire Rapid-i WASDKeyboard CODE 87-Key - Brown switches, beautifully simple and basically what I want but they're sold out :'( So I've come to the forums in search of some help and advice because my fingers deserve better.

Ranking from 1-5 (1 being the highest) (state if u have / tested a mechanical keyboard with all the switches) Kailh is good but it's a copy of Cherry mx from China. Romer g and Razer switches were created cause it's cheaper than buying Cherry mx for their company. I have tested Cherry mx and Kailh switches

I'm looking to get a mechanical keyboard but want to test the switch types first. I've done a bit of searching but the option on Amazon is £17 so I was hoping to get it for a little cheaper than that... Do any LTT members living in the UK or, even better, London, have a sampler that they would mind sending me? I would sent it back or I could buy it. Failing that, any suggestions of where to get a switch tester would be great! Thanks!

I just wondered if it would be possible to make a long term review video, like the phone reviews for cherry mx silent switches, possibly from a gaming and typing use case. this kind of video was really useful for me when i bought my first mechanical keyboard about a year ago.

I can't decide between the Asus Strix Tactic Pro, the CM Storm Mech and the Cm Storm Quickfire Ultimate and TK keyboards. Could you guys help me with your personal experiences with these goodies? (I'm from Eastern Europe so the choices are limited, a lot of brands doesn't ship their products to my country, so pls don't say Wasd or Ducky is better)

Hello everyone! I recently got a used corsair k70 keyboard for pretty cheap, however it is missing a few keys and one has a chip in it. The origional owner took the wasd key curved keys and put to normal keys where the missing keys go. I would like to buy just a few specific keys (left shift, alt, fn, and less important to me, numlock) if you guys could point me in the direction to a store that sells these kind of keys that would be great. they don't have to match exactly, but I would like them to allow back lighting if possible. Thanks in advance for the help!

I have to get a replacement switch for my keyboard but just getting one switch makes no sense. Does anyone have suggestions on where to buy the switch and a good/useful Cherry MX key tester?
