Hello everyone ! I made a thread a couple of days ago asking about some good case fans. Now I need overall advice about my idea to keep my temperatures low during the summer. I will start with my rig. I have a Segotep Legend C2 case Inside the case i have: Motherboard: Asus Prime m320k GPU: PNY GTX 1060 6gb CPU: AMD Ryzen 2600x RAM: 2x8GB corsairs Value select PSU: Cougar STX 750W I have 2 case fans in the front of the case: The lower one in a fan that came with the case the other fan is a Be Quiet Pure wings 2 pwm (I got that one because I didnt know what to do and I went with the first recomendation) On the back I have one exhaust fan that came with the case and one fan on the top rear that is a Deep Cool Xfan 120 red led. Now I am writing this thread because I need advice about what to do next. So what I want to do is to add more fans and decrease GPU and CPU temperatures/ On full load my GPU goes to 77c and my CPU goes to around 65-70. I know this is normal but I still want to improve cooling and noise levels of my PC. I have an idea of placing 2 new fans on the top of the case that will act as exhaust fans with low noise levels. So I am looking for good recomendations on red led fans that will do the job. I was looking at the Xigmatek Solar eclipse II but another user on the forum said that it is not a good fan and that I need a good exhaust fan on the back of the case that will force the hot air out and get noisy when it has to. Which brings my to the second thing I need a good recomendation with: A good 4 pin exhaust fan for the back of the case that i can control with my motherboard fan controler. The idea is to keep the red aesthetic of the case and the fans while keeping temps and noise as low as possible. I thing 3 exhaust fans will do good but I want to see your opinions.

The title really says it all. i have a noctua fan and I want to fit it with my color scheme but I’m not sure if I have to take it apart or not

HI i just ordered my panzer cougar mid tower case (amazon link : https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06VSK8WK9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) i took with no case fans . I want to put 3 x 120 mm intake fans to the front but with the mesh panel and the dust filter i cant decide between : static pressure fans vs Air flow fans . Im looking for a positive pressure system .

I am getting a case that can fit a 360mm radiator on the front but I'm only getting a 240mm, so can I put in the radiator and a 120mm case fan on the same side

So I have a corsair carbide spec alfa (it has got 3 fans pre-installed, 2 intake in the front and one exaust in the back) I am thinking of adding more fans to the system, but i don't know how to set them up. when I was building the system I found out that unfortunately my cooler (bequiet! pure rock slim) had to be mounted horizontaly in the motherboard (cpu fan in the facing the gpu)(it is pushing air upwards). The case has 4 extra slots for fans, 1 near the power suplly, 2 in the top and 1 extra in the front. the problem is that owing to the mounting mechanism of the cpu cooler i don't really know how to set the fans up. I am thinking about one by the side of the power supply as intake, and one (intake) in front but i do not know how i should insert the top two fans (intake or exaust).

I'm planning on buying a Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT CPU cooler and was looking for some Thermalright fans to compliment its aesthetic within my case (which is not a good reason, but hey, everyone's at least a little vain). Out of all of their different fan models, the one that seems to accomplish that goal best is their TY-147A SQ model. However, other than that product page, I can't find any information about this fan on the internet whatsoever; no reviews, no discussions, nothing. Is there anyone here who owns this fan and can confirm its reliability? The lack of reviews makes me somewhat hesitant to buy it. Perhaps I should go with Noctua AF-14s instead just to ensure reliability and quality?

So, I bought a new case (Cooler Master K500L) and was connecting the front-panel headers when I noticed some connectors that I can't make sense of. These are coming from the front-fans. I've connected the rest but need some help with these. There are 3 connectors left. One of them is a molex that is both male and female and will probably connect to the PSU's molex (my PSU currently doesn't have any molex connectors to connect to). However, there is another cable that has two ends. One is a 4-molex with only 2 pins occupied and the other is a 3-pin male fan header with 2 pins occupied. I did some Googling and found that maybe that 2-pin header is used to connect another fan if I want, but I'm not sure. The fans also have red LEDs so I'm not sure if one of them is for them separately? I don't want my fans running at full-speed which the molex would give me. Is there a way I can connect it to the motherboard? I also have only one fan header on the motherboard, so i might need a fan-splitter. Please help! P.S. This is the first time I have put every component together so forgive me if any of this sounds stupid.

TLDR: Running stock fan setup, need to make airflow/temps better for upcoming project I built this computer as a video editing workstation for my company a little while ago with this subreddit's help. We have a really big project coming up and I need to install an ssd in the PC so I thought it would be a good chance to clean out the PC as well as create some better airflow since I'm just running with the stock fan solution. Since the case is inverted, this is what it looks like. https://imgur.com/a/tNRbbQO The airflow isn't too different than a regular case I would assume but I have no idea. Either way, currently we have 2 fans installed in the front as intake and then 1 fan installed in the back as exhaust. I have the same air cooler used in the picture (The Dark Rock Pro 4), and a 1080ti installed. Anyways, I was wondering where you guys would recommend I install more fans to get the best possible temps?

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Color/carbide-400c-config/p/CC-9011081-WW Extremely beginner Builder here. From what I can understand this case has 5 case fan spots, I planned to have 2 140mm fans on the front, and running them as intake fans, and then running the fans in the back as exhaust. I have no idea what to do with the fans I'm going to put on the top. Also I just want to know if the fans on the front should actually be 140mm? i was not able to find a concise answer to this on the product info page. I already bought three 120mm fans for the top and back. Please inform me is a was wrong about those sizes. Offtopic question: I plan to overclock my GPU(the MSI DUKE OC 2080), Will i need a aftermarket cooler or will the stock coolers be enough for overclocking?

Ok, so I am wondering a couple things. 1. Is it possible to have 3 fans (either 120mm or 140mm) in the front, while having an optical drive? 2. If you have an optical drive, then can you still have up to 3 140mm or 4 120mm fans on the top? 3. Is there enough space on top to have 3 120mm fans and 1 140mm fan? 4. How do fans fit on the bottom? The manual diagram says 1 120mm fan, but later states it can fit 2 140mm/120mm.

These knockoff fans detect the presence of my hand at intake side and rev-up to get more airflow than normal.Stacking 2 makes both go faster so maybe more than 2x air?? 1234.mp4

so I have the cooler master h500 and it comes with 2 rgb fans and a black fan and i was wondering if there is good (preferably cooler master) rgb fan that will go nicely with the 2*200mm fans at the front to replace the fan at the back of the case (and perhaps get 2*140/120mm rgb fans at the top)

Hi everyone. Currently I'm buying parts for my new pc and I got stuck on choosing fans (ring-rgb) for my cpu cooler and case.. I need your help ?. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti A6G Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-P RAM: G.Skill TRIDENT Z RGB [F4-3200C16D-16GTZR] 2x8 PSU: Corsair TX550M (550W) Case: FRACTAL DESIGN Meshify C Blackout TG CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12-S Fans (for both cpu cooler and case): PCCooler Corona FRGB 120/140 or ID-Cooling ZF-RGB-12025/14025 What can you say about these 2? Are they bad? Which has better airflow and bright rgb (that's not as important as airflow, but still nice, since I'm getting a blackout version of meshify c)? I'm thinking of buying like 7 of these and putting 1x120 on my noctua u12-s, 1x120(rear) and 2x140(top) for exhaust and 3x120/2x140(front) for intake. I hope that's not overkill tho ? 1. Can I replace noctua's fan with any of listed above? Will the temps go up and etc? I'm not planning to manually OC my CPU (not yet at least.. maybe in 1-2 years when I'll be thinking about my next upgrade), just auto OC or w/e it's called. But it'll be good to know if they're good enough to handle like 3900x with u12-s in the future. 2. I have no expirience at all with RGB so I dont know if I'll be able to connect them to rgb heards at my mobo and sync them via Aura Sync with my RAM and GPU. I dont have my mobo yet so I can't read it's manual rn :c Do I need to buy a hub/controller for them (and if so how can I sync them later with my other parts?) or in my case with x570 prime p mobo 2x 3-way splitters should be enough for case fans (dont know what to do with cpu rgb tho, cuz im not sure if i can plug it in with my case fans to one splitter..)? I know that there's 2x 4pin rgb headers and 1x 4pin ARGB header, but im also not sure in which header I need to plug them.. Probably in ARGB, but can it handle all of my 7 fans tho? I was checking some photos of rgb builds on prime x570-p and I noticed that none of them was using mobo rgb headers (not even the ARGB one.. maybe I couldn't see one because of cables, not sure).. but they still had a fully synchronized rgb. Im curious. Thank you for your help and time in advance ?

Hi All, My two front Cooler Master MF200R RGB fans (found in my Cooler Master H500 Case) stop sometimes while gaming. I can leave the computer on for hours and won't see them stop. But while gaming they do stop after an hour. Then restart, then stop etc. When I go to shutdown the computer they restart by themselves. But nothing I do will coax them back to life. I am using the Cooler Master 3- way adaptor to plug them into the RGB fusion header on my motherboard. Motherboard: X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming CPU: 2700X Any ideas on why this is happening?

hi Guys I dont know if its the right section for the post but... anyway ill try my luck . So I recently bought the Phanteks P350X and am thinking about which CPU fans / case fans should I buy or where to place them. I've seen in the LTT video what is all so possible and what setup what a difference can make. Still, I'm still pretty unsure what exactly is best for the following RIG: Case: Phantek's P350X CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 6x Cores (if more is to ask just look at my profile because everything is detaliert) It is now only the question of whether I should get me an AIO or just full air cooling. And which fans are best for the case. Thanks in advance (edit): would be nice to somehow sync the lights all together on the mobo/software

Hello, I recently purchased 2 noctua case fans for my PC in header sys fan 1 and 2 and I have been struggling to control there speed. I am trying to use speed fan to control them but the fans don't show up anywhere on speed fan. The fans show up in the BIOS and in hw monitor and it does say the speed in which they are spinning but they don't show up in speed fan at all. I have turned off smart fan control in my msi b250 PC mate bios but it doesn't change anything and I am stumped. Anyone have any ideas that could help or fix this issue? Thank you in advance!

OK. here's what's going on: I still have a few components/parts yet to acquire for my build, but I'm a bit confused about the case fans. (Specifically, the RGB & all that.) So, try to go easy on me as this my 1st pc build & I'm still learning a few little things as I go. Clearly my build has the LL120 mm RGB fans from Corsair. (But FYI- my build won't have an AIO CPU cooler; just a standard tower heatsink for CPU cooling. Which means for the case fans, I plan to use them to help with cooling. Via the motherboard or whichever software Corsair uses nowadays for controlling fan-speed & the RGB lighting, etc.) However, I'm not sure if I will need just the Commander Pro, or the Lighting Node Pro & the fan hub that comes with my case... As you can see, I've heard that the RGB can be 1 of the trickiest parts about building a pc. Hence my confusion. So, here are my questions about this: 1. What will I need for my particular setup: Just the Commander Pro & that's it, the Lighting Node Pro & the fan hub that comes with my case...? 2. Also, how will it all be connected? (You know, which plugs into what & in what order?) 3. And which software is now best for fan control & the RGB- Corsair Link, iCue, etc? In case anyone needs specifics, I'll be providing my parts list which will be linked below. My build/components/parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6Wdbtp If anyone happens to need any further details or wishes to ask me anything else, feel free to do so & I'll be sure to fill you in! I hope someone who has had proper experience with this can help clarify or make sense of it all for me. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Specs: CPU: Intel i3-8100 GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Motherboard: GigaByte B360M DS3H PSU: Seasonic S12II 520w Bronze HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 3.5 in, 500gb Dell (came with original Dell OptiPlex 790) I had originally gotten a Dell OptiPlex 790 Mid-Tower with different hardware components inside. I replaced all of them over time and got better parts. I'm planning on getting a new case next to put all my parts in. However, I'm not sure how to check if my motherboard fan headers can be split to supply all my fans. My motherboard has 3 fan headers. I will have 5 fans total: 1 CPU fan, 4 case fans (3 in the front, 1 in the rear). I am looking at this case currently: https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Computer-Tempered-Cooling-Management/dp/B07J63FBZJ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=rosewill+v500&qid=1574113405&s=electronics&sr=1-1 Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi guys Just to scratch at your brains a bit. Before I explain the situation I'll just give a breakdown of my pc specs i9 9900k (not overclocked) 32gb 2666 hyperx fury (no rgb) Asus rog strix b360-F gaming MoBo Nvidia RTX 2070 Asus duel fan Gamedias 280mm AiO liquid cooler 4 Rgb Gamedias 120mm fans 500gb Wd blue 3d nand ssd Msi Msi gungnir 100p case My configuration at the time is 120mm fans bringing air from the top down onto my cpu and top of my gpu 1 at the back also pulling in over the cpu and 2 140mm on top of my radiator pushing air through the front out of the case. Now for the problem. Since I'm in south Africa it is generally very warm. But my pc can really cook an egg when I want to kick up a game that is very demanding. Like battlefield 5 on ultra with RTX on. My Temps in C can reach 80. What I started to think was my fans are not doing a good job not because of configuration as I've tried it in 4 different configurations. But rather my controller for the fans. The Gamedias set comes with a controller that's responsible for the Rgb and fan speeds. But I have 4 120mm fans and 2 140mm on a single controller being powered by a single sata power connector. Now I'm no guru but I've build pcs before and thinking back especially lower end stuff. Each can was normally connected to a molex by itself or to the motherboards fan ports. So I just wanted to ask if you could help me out to see if I should buy new fans that use the own connecter and perform better or if it's the same with the controller or without it. Thanks guys look forward to hearing from you

I just recently got a new psu, Case along with case fans and a gpu and it was all working fine until I got a new mobo yesterday and installed it at first everything was working then I had to remove the mobo again to get behind it. Now however when I start the computer the Noctua NF-F12 case fans on the top of my case will power up with the case but then stop. After a while I noticed it would start spinning a little and then stop again. I’m not sure what it is or what could’ve caused it. I made sure to be extra careful with all of my parts and my three other case fans that came with my case when I bought it work perfectly fine. My pc specs are: I7-4790 GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Gigabyte G1. Sniper H6 - this is my new mobo Rosewill Spectra X Gaming Case 650W power supply from evga i have also added a video of how my fans would start up but then stop. IMG_3959.MOV
