I'm planning a build that will include the Kraken X62 and two MSI 1070 SeaHawks in a Phantek Enthoo Luxe. I've got plenty of cooling for the CPU/GPU, but I'm worried that I might not have enough cooling for the rest of the system. Eventually planning to fill all 5.25" and HDD Bays in the case as well. I attached my plan as it is right now. What do you guys think, is this going to melt my motherboard? Or will the radiators not affect me that much?

I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me. I'm looking for some particular fans. Specifically, UV LED-lit fans, not the UV reactive kind. I want to add some UV effects to my watercooling loop, but I would rather not spend another $100-ish dollars on a UV light kit, if there's a fan out there that can do what I need. Here's a pic that will hopefully help: Replace the blue fans with some UV LEDs, and that's exactly what I'm looking for.

I am using phantom full tower 001 and the case has fan control on the top that I use. They all work perfectly except for the 2 on the side, they keep dropping to lowest speed for a second then going back up to full speed for like 30 seconds, both fans use a separate cord that connects back to the same control switch, is there any easy fix to this?

Hi everyone I finally got my full build together and im planning on buying it very soon but i have 1 small question about the 2 fans in the front of the nzxt s240 black/red, How do i connect them to the motherboard? This may sound like a stupid question if you know the answer but I just can't really think of a way since I saw in some unboxing videos that most of the aftermarket come with a pretty short cable to connect to the motherboard If anyone could give answer ik would be very apprecited Thx!

Don't care about rgb fans too much as there's plenty of RGB in the case itself, but could anyone recommend me some really good fans (in black)? I have a Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler , so I'm assuming the 3:2 ratio of fans would work- any tips you could give me on placement would be appreciated too. I have a NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

So my glorious rig is about to be bought in a couple days and I was wondering what would be some cheap/best kind of aftermarket RGB kit/or even strips to buy for the inside of my rig. I'm using an NX3T S340, and here's the rest of the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCbX6X As for case fans, i'm not sure how many to get/whether to go with mounting the radiator to the top, or the front. Suggestions for aftermarket case fans(which, and how many) best thermals? (below 75c at huge load)

does anyone know anything about the quality of the Raidmax NV-R120TP PWM RGB Fan? I have been looking online and haven't really found anything in the way of a review or information about it other than the spec from Raidmaxes website. http://www.raidmax.com/accessories_nv-r120tp.html

I'm looking for 140mm SP type fans with Asus Aura compatibility. I've found a few nice 120mm fans, but i prefer 140mm as they run quieter. Some will be intake, others exhaust so fans where the rgb looks good from both sides are a must. If anyone has any suggestions or has fans the recommend, id love to hear about it. Thanks.

Hi everyone, New user here, and first time building a PC as well. I've been delaying my build because I am unable to decide on optimal fan setup, and was hoping to get some input. Relevant hardware: -Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG -i7-7700k -NZXT Kraken X62 -ASUS STRIX 1080ti -ASUS ROG maximus code IX My question is, how should i set up my fans? As it stands I have room for 5 140mm fans, 2 in the front, 2 in the top, and one in the back. I was planning on putting my 280 rad on top as exhaust, with two unimpeded 140mm fans in front as intake, but i am afraid this will give me negative pressure with the back fan also being used as exhaust. I could put 3 120mm fans in front if i remove the ODD enclosure, but i need a blu ray drive. I have 3 Corsair HD 140s (600-1350rpm, 74 CFM) and the 2 stock NZXT fans (500-1800rpm, ??? CFM) that came with the x62. I was thinking that the radiator fans wont move as much air as the front intakes (obviously they wont, but i dont have any numbers on this), so maybe i could still get positive pressure with this setup, but i would like to have some input from experienced builders before i begin. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Hello, everyone! I prepare to build new custom pc while waiting for Intel’s new 8th gen. cpus. The build will be most likely based on Intel Core i7-8700k CPU (will be delidded and lapped), cooled by my current Prolimatech Megahalems (already lapped) with 2x 120 mm fans (in / out configuration), in pair with my MSI GTX1070 QuickSilver graphics card (possibly GTX1080Ti in the future). The case will be most likely Phanteks P400S Tempered Glass. My question to you would be about fans configuration. My primary target is silence, also I would like to have pretty low temperatures in order to utilize OC potential fully. I am struggling with picking right fans inside the case as well as for my CPU cooler. Currently, I have two fans in push/pull configuration for my Megahalems, which are 3-pin 1300 rpm max. They make some noise working at full speed, so I set them to 900 rpm through BIOS. Now they are inaudible at all. The case will come with two Phanteks 120 mm fans. I believe they will be 4-pin fans so I can control them easily through. Two of them is not ideal according to LinusTechTips. That being said, I will order some more fans to make 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm intake along with 2x 120mm outtake, but I am really struggling to make it right. I want to make rig completely silent in IDLE, but it can be audible in stress as I always use headphones. Ofc not too much noise I’ve attached 3 possible options below. I would be grateful if you can provide me with some feedback which of them is the best (noise / performance ratio) in your opinion. As I’ve already got two Fander ROXO fans, investment cost would vary between three solutions. Option 1. Need to get x1 Fander ROXO ($4) and x2 BQSW3 ($20). Total $44. Option 2. Need to get x2 BQSW3 ($20). Total $40. Option 3. Need to get x4 BQSW3 ($20). Total $80. Thank you for all the replies! Have an amazing day

Hey fellas, I live in Chennai, India. Ambient temps will be around 30c-35c during non summer time, and easily 35c+ during summer easily, wanna keep my components cool as much as possible. lemme know which of the fan setup is better for the time being, looking to replace fans. In my opinion my current setup doesn't exhaust well good at top coz of low air flow pressure of Phanteks stock 120mm fan and the case's top dust filter and honey comb (mesh) structure which is at top, after few hours of gaming the dust filter gets warm, the dust filter doesn't get this much warm when i had 2*120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X as top exhaust. And I bought 120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X's without thinking abt cfm of these and static pressure, coz of intake restriction p400 got, only small slits to intake at front of the case. Current fan setup: 3*120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X as intake and 1*120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X as rear exhaust, and 2* Phanteks stock 120mm fans as top exhaust. Previous fan setup: 2*120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X as intake and 1* Phanteks stock 120mm fan as front intake. 2*120 mm Cooler Master SickleFlow X as top exhaust. 1* Phanteks stock 120mm fan as rear exhaust. Need fan suggestions which is perfect for my P400 build CPU Intel i7 6700k Motherboard Asus Z170 Pro Gaming RAM 1*16 GB DDR4 2400 MHZ GPU nVidia EVGA GeFore GTX 770 SC (soon to be upgraded) Case Phanteks P400 Storage 1*7500 RPM 2TB HDD WD Black PSU Seasonic M12II-850 Fan suggestions: Best 120mm which I can mount on my front to draw as much air as it can from the slits. Best 120mm/140mm fan at rear exhaust to push as much air out of my case. Best 120mm/140mm fan at top exhaust to push as much air out of my case and air filters. One more doubt all say CM's JetFlo 120mm which has around 95 cfm is inferior to Noctua's 120mm whose cfm is 55-65. higher the cfm means it can allow more air flow right? Enlighten me, Ty in advanced.

I will keep this review short and simple. I don't use a fan controller (I just set it automatically by temperature), so I cannot comment on that aspect. The 140mm version circulates large swaths of air without needing to spin very quickly. They are silent at low to medium loads and still very quiet at maximum load. Excellent in terms of packaging, aesthetics and build quality. No downsides in my experience. At $10-12 street price, it is at the perfect sweetspot. Well above stock and generic fans in quality, but also a great product for those who don't want to spend $20 per fan. Rating: 9/10

Screws that came with the fans simply can't fit into the fan holes, they (fans) don't even have screw threads inside them, how am I supposed to put screws inside these holes?

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bTWKwV This is the pc that I am going to build and I was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade the case fans on the NZXT Noctis 450 or if the fans which come with the case will be fine. I want to have my pc be as cool as possible so I don't want to skimp out by not buying better fans just because they cost more so if there are any fans that would fit the case and would outperform the default NZXT case fans then please let me know so I can check them out Thanks

I have all my parts purchased for my upcoming build. The highlights include a 7600k and an EVGA FTW+DT GTX 1060 6gb. The build is all going together inside the Thermaltake core v21. I know the d15 is total overkill for this chip especially since I'm using bit fans. My reson is that I plan on never switching coolers ever again in my life. My question is, do I need extra case fans along with the 200mm in the case? Also what configuration should the fans be in?

Hello, first of all, some context as to why I ask this. My current case is the tempered glass version of the Phanteks P400. I bought it along with a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi and Vengeance RGB RAM to bring my system into the "2017 age" and modernize it a bit. What I didn't think about was airflow, which, turned out to be god awful. Who would have guessed by looking at the front panel? Hmm... I put the two included fans in the top for exhaust and put two PWM Silent Wings 3 fans in the front. Currently, all fans are pegged at 100%, though the thing still gets to have a hotbox effect after maybe an hour of gaming. Lower temperatures are obviously appreciated, mostly due to the lower noise that comes with it. Silence is important to me, along with performance, though I realize I can't have the best of both. In an effort to help this noise, I decided to get a new case. The Aerocool P7-C1, or Project 7...or whatever Aerocool wants it to be called. I understand the mesh front will let more noise out than my current P400, hence why I'm looking at fans. Running them at 100%, my current 120mm Silent Wings 3's are noticeable when doing general browsing and light gaming. I looked at 140mm options, since I had a previous system that used 140mm pure wings 2 fans for the case which were dead silent. I think for noise, those would be my best option. The P7-C1 supports two 140mm fans in front or 3 120mm fans. If I got the two 140mm fans, I would be putting them in the middle, because having an uneven looking front isn't very appealing to me, and if I went with 120mm fans I would be using all 3 fan slots. I'm sorry if i'm not being super clear. I find it difficult to make things straight to the point. It's easier to speak in my head than to speak with my mouth. 1. Would putting two 140mm fans in the middle of the front create problems due to having open space above and below the two fans? 2. If using 3 120mm fans is the desirable option, do you have any recommendations on which models to pick? Looking for silence with reasonable airflow. Noctua puke color is out of the question. If I do end up getting the 140mm fans, I'll just re-purpose the current Silent Wings fans to exhaust

Hi everybody, Quick question: is it possible to manually control (via software in Windows) the speed of case fans (PWM) that are connected with PWM directly to the motherboard 4-pin sockets? I'm looking for a way to best balance noise/performance. Thanks in advance!

I have a Cooler Master Cosmos SE case and I was planning on using the 4 fans that came with it (2 on the front as intakes, and 2 on the top and back as exhausts). But I ran in to some issues that I haven't been able to fix: when plugging in the fans to the pins on the motherboard, the system would start for a second and then immediately power down, which is remedied by simply not connecting the fans (although that's not ideal), and the other issue is that the front 2 fans with blue LEDs would simply not spin once I turn it on, the blue lights would stay on and nothing more, while the two exhaust fans without any fancy lights would spin just fine. But obviously this has caused negative pressure on the inside, so I've simply reversed the fan on top to serve as an intake. I've tried mixing up the molex connectors but sometimes that makes matters worse and none of the fans spin, so no luck there. I really want to have a more stable cooling system but I haven't found a fix. Here are all the specs: i7 6700 3.4 gHz (stock fan :v) MSI GTX 1060 3gb Amor OCV1 MSI H170A Gaming Pro Motherboard 16gb G-Skills RipJaws DDR4 RAM (dual channel) Adata 240gb SSD WD Blue 1tb HDD CoolerMaster B600 80+ Bronze PSU (600 watt) Cooler Master Cosmos SE E-ATX case OS: Win 10 Pro 64 bit BIOS version: E7978IMS.280 P.S. I'm wasn't very familiar with molex connectors when I built my rig and had trouble connecting them so maybe the problem lies there but I don't know.

Hey guys, I just upgraded my entire system aside from my drives to a ryzen based system, into the fractal design define s. this case comes with 2 fans standard. however I made a mistake in that I only have 1 fan port on my mobo for case fans. I've decided to buy the NZXT 10 fan fan hub, seeing as it was pretty cheap and would allow me to upgrade all the way to the max of 8 possible fans later if I wanted. the question I have though, is at wat speeds will the fans run? I know that the fan hub has 3 pin connections so I (probably) won't be able to control it. From what I've been able to find if you connect the hub to your PSU the fans will run at 100%, bu I haven't found anything about connecting it to your motherboard, which I assume can provide enough power for the 2 fans I currently have. Thanks in advance!

I currently have one intake fan at the front, two exhausts on my top mounted radiator, and an exhaust in the back. Would it be worth moving the lone exhaust fan to the front as a 2nd intake, making the two rad fans the only exhausts in the system? Would I see any performance differences? Thanks.

Good day! I'm here to ask for your help about the airflow of my pc. So basically my pc has 2 fans: 1 intake and 1 exhaust. The intake fan has higher air pressure than the exhaust one (The exhaust fan is very weak at blowing out air). I need your opinions if I need to switch the places of both fans making the weaker fan the intake and the stronger one exhaust or should I just keep it as is. Just to mention, the intake's on the front and exhaust is on the back. Thank you in advance. Have a good day!

I don't know if this is the right sub forum, but since it's a mod for my own room I suppose it fits here. Hello! So I've been thinking about something lately: Could I use some RGB case fans to cool my room in the summer and also make it look dope? But how would I power the fans? I know you put the fans into a controller to change the RGB modes. But if it isn't in a computer case, where do I power the controller? Something that I also have been thinking about is putting an RGB/RGBW strip in the ceiling to give some nice lightning. But I run into the same question there, how do I control/power the strips?

Hi all! I currently have in my system the stock fans that came with my NZXT s340 case and Kraken x61 radiator. They cool fine and haven't broken, but they are loud, so loud that when I measured my system while gaming, it measured 55 decibels! After much research, I have decided that I think i will replace my 2 radiator fans and my 2 case fans with Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 140mm PWM. This is an expensive investment for fans, but worth it to me if it means very quiet performance while still cooling just fine and the possibility of moving these fans to future cases. I am not looking to set world records for cooling, I just want my components to be cooled well enough to keep their current overclocks. I have an Intel i5 600k overclocked to 4.5Ghz and an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming 8G overclocked to 1873Mhz. Both run stably and the cpu never goes above ~60-65C and the gpu never goes above ~70-74C when in stress tests. My question: will the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 maintain my performance and also give me quieter operation and better control? Thank you!

Hey, I'm planning on buying a PC and I chose all the parts, but one thing. I chose the Zalman Z9 Neo for my case, it has 5 fans, four of which use a molex connector, which I think is a 4 pin PCI Express input. Does anyone know a PSU above 400w from a reputable brand with 4 molex connectors? Or is there some kind of adapter that can combine them in only 2? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you. P.s. you can check out hardware canucks' video on the z9 neo for more info.
