Hey folks, This is my first time building a PC and I hope you guys could lend me a helping hand I do hope that you could help me build a pc that could take on the modern games today. 1. Budget & Location About $500 CAD & Alberta, Canada 2. Aim I'm aiming to used this for gaming and some school stuff. Games I like to play are Dota 2, CSGO, PUBG. 3. Monitors I'm planning to used 2 monitors in the future but as of right now I'm sticking to one. I'm not really sure about the resolution and the like. I have a Win10 OS 4. Peripherals I still have my old peripherals and is not planning to get any of them and I'll be using an acer monitor (X213W) for now. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm building this pc because I've been using a Pavilion g6 laptop for playing games such as CSGO and Dota 2 and mostly doing some programming stuff. Evidently it is not that great when playing.

Hello guys, I plan on buying myself a new pc and I have been picking a few parts for it https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8zmfxY . What psu should I chose? And is there anything I should change?

Hi. My dad and I are really into the computer scene, me more than him. He really likes his League of Legends, but the computers that he has are close to ten years old. His desktop is an LGA775 Pentium-based machine with integrated graphics, and his laptop that lost its laptop function many years ago is a HP Compaq NX9420 with the stock HDD and 4GB of RAM. What I want to do for him is build him a new system. I've settled on the CPU platform I'm going to use. I'm sticking with a budget classic, and for anyone who guessed correct, congrats! The Core 2 Quad Q6600 will make an appearance in this system, alongside an Intel DG33BU motherboard and 8GB of DDR2 RAM. He's got a PSU and a case that I'm going to take, plus I've got an SSD that will go great with the build. My only doubt is the GPU. I'm contemplating either the GT 710 or the R7-240, but if the GTX 750 Ti will last longer, I'm happy to spend the extra money on that card. So, my question is, what GPU should I go for? The GT-710 I'm looking at is $39, and it's the 1GB variant. There is a 2GB variant for $9 extra. The R7-240 that I'm looking at is $69, and I've got my eye on two GTX 750 Ti's. One seocndhand for around the $75 mark, and one brand new for $119. Thanks, and all other opinions on GPUs are gonna be more than helpful! -Alpha.

( i plan to upgrade to an i5 6400 + gtx 1060 6gb some time) Can this hold up to AAA titles at med-high settings at 1080p at playable fps?

How much to spend and where? This list will cover what I believe to be the best way to split your budget for a new PC build. The budgets I'll be covering are £400, £600, £800, £1000. I'll leave how much in pounds (£) I recommend spending and the rounded percentage (%) of that component. Feel free to comment what you think below, I'm sure people will appreciate the help. Lets-a-go £400 £400 is a kinda low budget but that doesn't mean you have to have a bad pc. In 2019 you should be able to spend that much and play games at 1080p and 45fps, 30 in more demanding titles at medium settings. A good way to split your budget would be: £80 CPU (20%) £55 Motherboard (14%) £40 RAM (10%) £35 Hard drive (9%) £120 GPU (30%) £30 Case (8%) £40 PSU (10%) Here's a link for a similar priced build. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor £75.50 @ Aria PC Motherboard ASRock B450M-HDV Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard £52.74 @ Amazon UK Memory G.Skill Aegis 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory £38.47 @ Amazon UK Storage Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £35.58 @ Aria PC Video Card KFA2 GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB OC Video Card £114.57 @ Amazon UK Case Xigmatek Scorpio MicroATX Mid Tower Case £29.35 @ CCL Computers Power Supply be quiet! For this budget I'd recommend: £140 CPU (23%) £20 cooler (light overclocks can help) (3%) £60 motherboard (10%) £55 RAM (9%) £35 Hard drive (6%) £25 SSD (4%) £185 GPU (31%) £50 case (8%) £50 power supply (8%) Parts list: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor £145.99 @ Amazon UK CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £23.99 @ Amazon UK Motherboard Gigabyte GA-AX370M-Gaming 3 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard £59.99 @ AWD-IT Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory £53.90 @ Amazon UK Storage Patriot Burst 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £26.99 @ Amazon UK Storage Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £35.58 @ Aria PC Video Card XFX Radeon RX 590 8 GB FATBOY OC+ Video Card £184.99 @ Amazon UK Case Phanteks P300 ATX Mid Tower Case £50.37 @ CCL Computers Power Supply be quiet! While £600 is what I recommend for first time builders, £800 is where most people should be aiming in order to be future proofed for a while. Prices I think suit this budget are: £215 CPU (27%) £30 cooler (4%) £65 motherboard (8%) £55 RAM (7%) £35 Hard drive (4%) £30 SSD (4%) £250 GPU (31%) £70 case (9%) £50 PSU (6%) Here's a link: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor £217.98 @ Aria PC CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £23.99 @ Amazon UK Motherboard Biostar TB350-BTC ATX AM4 Motherboard £64.47 @ Scan.co.uk Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory £53.90 @ Amazon UK Storage Western Digital Green 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £30.00 @ Amazon UK Storage Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £35.58 @ Aria PC Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB WINDFORCE OC Video Card £249.97 @ Amazon UK Case NZXT H500 ATX Mid Tower Case £67.98 @ CCL Computers Power Supply Cooler Master MasterWatt 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply £50.99 @ Ebuyer Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total £794.86 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-08 19:21 BST+0100 £1000 £1000, that's a fair bit of money, but it does mean you shouldn't have to upgrade for a number of years. That can balance out the numbers if you're willing to go without the newest and best hardware for a while. Performance wise you can expect 1080p 90fps, 1440p 60 in most AAA games and over 300 in some eSports titles. Basically £1000 will cover you in all but the most difficult to run games at 1440p. At this budget, steaming games and video editing also becomes a lot more viable I think you should spend roughly: £315 CPU (32%) £30 cooler (I would recommend an I7 that isn't overclockable) (3%) £65 motherboard (7%) £55 RAM (6%) £35 Hard drive (4%) £40 NVME SSD (4%) £325 GPU (33%) £80 case (8%) £55 PSU (6%) And the final link for today: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i7-9700F 3 GHz 8-Core Processor £316.98 @ Amazon UK CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £23.99 @ Amazon UK Motherboard ASRock H370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard £68.88 @ CCL Computers Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory £53.90 @ Amazon UK Storage Kingston A1000 240 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive £42.33 @ PC World Business Storage Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £35.58 @ Aria PC Video Card Sapphire Radeon RX VEGA 64 8 GB NITRO+ Video Card £326.54 @ CCL Computers Case Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case £91.09 @ Overclockers.co.uk Power Supply LEPA MaxGold 700 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply £54.70 @ Amazon UK Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total £1013.99 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-08 19:40 BST+0100 Thank you all for reading, any comments are appreciated.

So I'm Swarnava Majumder from India, an a student of Animation . Nice to meet everyone here . So for last 3 years I have lived a life without any pc or even laptop (i know it sounds crazy but it is true) but now since I've got admitted in Animation my subject demands a pc so my parents agreed to get me one and as a tech enthusiast I decided to build a pc , a Ryzen build . You may ask why ryzen build : because its more bank for buck . Since i had streaming in my head for quite a while now i decided to go with a 6 core processor ryzen 5 1600 (not 2600 because I'm in a super tight budget of Rs.45,000=$400approx including all peripherals ). I already did research and bought the powersupply and RAM and monitor: Powersupply : Corsair VS 550 (from Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR4 3000MHz (also amazon and 3000MHz since ryzen works better with faster memory) . Monitor: HP 22es (from Amazon in an awesome deal) Before I say any further I must say that I will buy a graphics card but not now , next year . But I came to know that ryzen 5 1600 cant run without a dedicated gpu so I got upset and thought of settling with ryzen 5 2400g . But I saw that core i5 8400 has an integrated gpu and also 6cores (need 6 cores for streaming) so after a lot of cost cutting from case , motherboard and ssd I saw i can just afford i5 8400 with some compromise on other areas . SO NOW MY QUESTION IS : Does Intel core i5 8400 support a 3000MHz RAM on a Gigabyte H310M H motherboard ? And thank you soo much to the LTT community, you guys are awesome and also special thanks to Linus for teaching me how to build a pc and being a guru through out my process . Much love from India .

Hey guys. Im trying to get the price on the comp im building down. Im basically building the ryzen $900 pc build LTT did a short while ago. The problem is many of the parts have gone up in price. Im also using a ryzen 7 3700x instead of a ryzen 5. Im struggling to find a cheaper ram than he used. the ram chips ltt used are now $80 (Team T-Force Delta RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000)... anyone have a cheaper solution still with samsung b-die? I dont care about rgb. Also what about a cheaper but still good SSD? The 1 tb intel nvme ssd is now 123. EDIT: im going with a 5700 xt gpu. GPU: "XFX GTS XXX Edition RX 580 4GB OC+ 1386Mhz DDR5" RAM: Corsair vengeance 2x4 2666 MHz SSD: Crucial MX500 250Gb HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM010 1Tb PSU: corsair CX550 CASE: Rosewill fbm-x1 Does this work of am I just being dumb?

I really need help regarding my a gaming PC under 500$ which would offer decent to good performance. I would also use it for a little bit of 3d rendering but mostly playing games like GTA 5,COD,FORTNITE,etc. I live in Asia (India to be specific) so if recommended by availability please check. I would also like to know whether to build a PC now or wait like approx 3-4 months since that is when I would be finishing my semester. It is my decision to decide is what my parents told me so ya.. Like if there is new of some good budget gpu,cpu which will be worth the wait. I will be happy to know that.

PLEASE HELP. I NEED REAL GUIDANCE !!! IM fed all the way up w the bs. dude who built it dont answer anymore guess its to much trouble for him even tho he claimed any of his builds have 1 year warrenty. tried to upload pics before i posted this but im going to post it then get off n get back on to put pix up again. so i got this pc i had a guy build for me pretty cheap said i didnt care how it looked just about performance. that was ny 1st mistake but didnt thank id be here this soon all things not considered untill times like now where im stuck in the dark. i never have played any games at all on any of my computers/ or my phone. i dont care about surfing the internet on my main computer, i only need it to run 1-2 DAW like fl studio12 and a 10-25 processor hungry aftermarket vst plugins (vst2/vst3) i have. i do have copies of on my little 2tb my passport external hdd. i bought this damn machine he built about 3 months ago a guy thats local i contacted on a buy sell app was selling comp parts n i was lookin to have a "budget build" done asap but i also had some important issues i had to address with my finances so they were limited now their little to nothing in terms of income... fml... so a little over 580$ towards this comp he built and delivered to me which ran fine for a month & and a half then 1 day died and ever since that day ive been pullin my fuckin hair out stressed out because im no longer able to make music which is my passion my life and atm MY INCOME (cant make music = bills and shit up to my neck debt) . . so 1 day i am eating my dinner in my space and fl studio was open but i hadnt opened a project or started nothing at all because i was eating across the otherside of room well as soon as i sat down to start picking instruments out to complose a beat i noticed the strong odor of BURNING COPPER!! took a look inside the case from the vented side panel didnt see any smoke or fire but still smelled itso i went to shut down pc and before i could turn it off/unplug power supply. I heard a unknown noise i thought came from the desktop tower and all a sudden the picture on my screen went off in a fucked up pixelated/ matrix style looking crash type of way like it had been put in a blender... idk its given me nightmares n flashbacks ever since. the guy who built it came n swapped out motherboard, gfx card, n power supply once but we couldnt get it to boot windows soooo he came back next day again at my house for 4 hrs with me and brought his comp and more parts and swapped the mobo wit another board which is the red and black biostar in pictures. the green hp board is the 1 i bought after the biostar stopped working and did the shut off bs and and never came bk on. idk sumn is fucked up with sumn and idk what i did to deserve this but please God let this be over and by this i mean the issues w my setup and compter related problems cuz its killin me. all i want is my shit to work properly so i cant get back to working and persuing my passion this is beyond stressful in my position. im tooo behind on bills now and this is does nothing but pissin me off to the max and youtube is starting to make me jealous with all the tutorials of badass gaming rigs n all that bs i been paying attention to linus for a while now way before i built this pile of shit i call a computer but anyways . Idk what but i know from my previous exp. with this comp and with my much lower performance pcs in the past it should has handled the demanding plugins and software no prob. i also have a dinosaur that still runs that i saved from sum1 bout to pyt it ina dumpster and it still turns on and runs no prob makes no fucking since its a dell optiplex gx620 the big tower when i first got it it said the last time someone TURNED IT ON WAS 2006!!! so in my optinion i have a Hidden hardware issue somewhere i cant see idk but at this point im almost overwhelmed cuz know it ran fl studio12 perfect for a short 1.5 months it worked beyond great without any latency, lag or glitches at all!! so it shouldnt have any issues running any of it when it has done it before pluginss such as; refx-nexus2, the whole fabfilter bundle, omnisphere, & etc. i have tore down the machine and carefully reset all connectors or been troubleshooting for the past 3 months strait seems like and have rebuilt entire setup about 4+times proly more... ive bought a seperate mobo w same chipset and stilll no boot just solid greenlight on top right of mobo with new mobo... im lost n im fairly new to pc building but ive been working with fl studio since i was 13 i am now 30 my bday is in like fuckin 6 days and ive been on the verge of giving up since it quit working which will lead to a whole other list of problems. i need an expert to help because im lost since i did the mobo swap im temped to install the 1st
