I wanted to upgrade to some nice quality over the ear headphones with a price range of $350. I have decided to check out what I hear everyone talking about recently, the Bose QuietComfort 35. However, after some quick research I see a lot of people recommending Sennheiser headphones over Bose. So whats better, something like the Bose QuietComfort 35, or some Sennheiser headphones in the $350 price range (a popular model I found is the Sennheiser HD 598). What I'm really looking for: 1.Quality vs. price 2.Quality of the audio to just be generally high (if I am to spend $350 I want the audio to sound better than some $15 headphones) 3.Noise cancelling is a nice bonus as I would need to wear these when I commute (and my commute is noisy to say the least) Bonus: I've never owned Bluetooth headphones before, so though its not a mandatory thing, it would be a pleasant new experience. Thanks for any advice given

Is there a way to hook these speakers to my MacBook or iPhone? The cheaper the method the better!

I bought a pair of Bose Soundtrue 1st generation (Aug 2014 model). The microphone is in-line (built into detachable 3.5 audio cord). My on-board audio jack is only recognizing the speakers and NOT mic. Any suggestions? HQ adapters, drivers I'm unaware of, sound card ect? https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/headphones/over_ear_headphones/soundtrue-around-ear-headphones-ii-apple-devices.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/XJ8C4-Genuine-OEM-Dell-XPS-8900-Socket-LGA1151-Desktop-Motherboard-/191839437268?hash=item2caa8581d4:g:hLsAAOSwCQNWgYFS All help is appreciated thanks!

I was thinking of buying the Bose ® Companion 50 Multimedia Speaker System for my setup but was wondering what the general consensus is on Bose in general..?. Are they overpriced? Are they the "Apple" of the speaker world?

Hey Guys, I'm thinking of saving up to buy a good pair of headphones from these mentioned brands as they are the only brands availiable in my country. Hi again, I'm looking to upgrade my speakers and I would like some advice on what to go for. My budget for this would be around £200 at most, though I would prefer to spend less than £100 if possible. I don't really have the room for massive speakers/subs to go on/around my desk, and would prefer to go with a soundbar-type speaker to fit under my monitors if possible, but once again, I don't know what brands are good for this. I've seen a few decent ones like Razer, Logitech and Bose, all of which seem very good quality. A lot of these aren't available to test in my area, so I can't judge the quality for myself all that well (outside of reviews on youtube) Also, I might end up combining these with a DAC/AMP later on (considering the Schiit ones from the latest office tour), so not sure if that will impact my choice. As always, any input is appreciated. Regards, LoT

Hello guys, So I've generally only used crappy earbuds like the samsung or apple ones, and those tend to get destroyed within a couple of months. I always listen to music while walking (adds up to around a couple of hours or more a day) and this time I've gone insane by crappy earbuds. What I want to know, is if any of you guys have used the Bose QC20s for a long time (preferably someone who walks a lot) and could comment on the durability of them. Also, if you recommend me NOT to buy these, please let me know why. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I am having with my speakers. I have Bose Companion 3 Series 2 speakers connected to my PC which is running Windows 10. My computer has the Asus Maximus Hero VII motherboard and the latest Realtek drivers. However Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have noticed that no sound is playing in my right speaker. When performing a audio test I can see the audio bars moving, when playing in the right speaker channel but no sound is played. I have tested the speakers on my TV and tried my Bose speakers which are normally used with the TV. However with both sets of speakers I get the same problem, and they both work fine on my TV. I have reinstalled the Realtek drivers from the Realtek site and from Asus website but nothing seems to be working. When I unplug my left speaker I do get sound out of the right but it is very quite even when on full volume. But when the left speaker is plugged the right speaker doesn't play any sound. The only driver I haven't update is my BIOS which is still running the same version when I had Windows 8.1. Could that a potential reason? Both speakers plug into a subwoofer which then has a audio lead that plugs into the green Front Speaker Out. I have tried the other colours but they don't work. I am really stuck as to why this is happening. If anyone can provide any advice or help I would be extremely grateful. Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

So I have been looking at the Bose QC 25's and Sennheiser HD 8 DJ's since they are around the same price. I'm really interested in having ANC since I travel on the bus a lot, and by plane a couple times a year. But then again the HD8's supposedly have better bass, and I just love bass. Any suggestions or opinions please send them this way. And if anyone knows of any good deals in the UK please do tell.

I'm looking for a high end quality speakers that is portable, so that I can bring it to a romantic picnic on the park, basketball court (indoor), or (maybe not because its a bit far fetch) the beach with friends. After a short research, this is what I come up with: * Bose soundlink III ($300 $260)- It has the BEST sound quality, its very loud (30 ft), unfortunately the Soundlink II has a better design in my opinion. Less durable than most portable speakers. * Bose soundlink II (nylon version) ($300 $200) - The Soundlink III did not beat this version by much in terms of sound quality. It has a much classier design. * Fugoo bluetooth speaker ($132) - Superb durability. Sound quality not sure. Has a directional speaker, doesn't spread well. Has AMAZING portable accessories. Long HOURS (40). Waterproof. * Jawbone Big Jambox ($300 $190) * Skullcandy Air raid ($150 $99) I would probably mostly use it when playing basketball and going out for hiking or picnic with my girlfriend. Sound quality is very important to me. Loudness as well since I will be playing it at a indoor basketball court at times. Durability comes in next to these. side notes: There are a lot of great portable speaker that is durable and has decent sound quality at loud volume. I supposed they focus more on their durability compared to their quality since it is a portable speaker. In my experience, nothing beats the Soundlink III in terms of quality, however, unfortunately it is not as durable as the other portable speakers. What is the BEST portable speakers that has excellent sound quality and loudness with decent durability? doesn't have to be from the list. (don't consider the Price)

I'm looking for a bluetooth stereo that is exceptionally good. The ones that I have heard in the past when bluetooth speakers first became a thing (Jawbone, etc.) were crap. I didn't see why people liked the Jawbone at all because it offered no bass and no clarity to sound. It was as if I spent a lot of money on a dozen laptop speakers. That being said, last summer I heard the Bose Bluetooth Soundlink 3 and was blown away by the bass and clarity of the sound that it produces. The Bluetooth Soundlink Mini was not nearly as good but still delivered pretty good bass and clarity, for its form factor at least. Both systems are the best I've heard for its price point and form factor. However, I know that there are now a ton of bluetooth speakers out there and I'm wondering if there are BETTER ALTERNATIVES TO THE ONES I'VE LISTED. Also, I like the Soundlink 3 more but it just seems a tad bit large (soundlink Mini's size is very good, though quality isn't as high), albeit a very very good product. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Hey guys, So my current BOSE IE2 are dying and falling apart and i need a new IEM. I have been looking at the sennheiser momentum in-ears and the BOSE sports, but I have very limited IEM knowledge so I am open to any and all suggestions outside those 2 I mainly use my IEM while I'm out and about, so walking to class, jogging, commuting etc.. so they need to be robust enough to handle wear and tear and need to preform well under noisy conditions, they also need to be comfortable for the occasionally jog. (a carry case is a plus!) now i really like both designs. And speaking from experience with the IE2s I like the way the BOSE fit in my ear and the cables are more supposed to be more rugged and durable than the IE2s, but does the sound quality justify $150. Alternatively am I better off sticking with the cheaper but equally as good looking $100 momentum. Like I said I have no knowledge other IEMs so if there are better options please suggest them PS: I mostly listen to orchestral music, Soundtracks, and SOME electric Thank you so much in advance!

So i dont know which way to go, i would like to listen music and games with the quality and privacy of some headphones which i can use for editing , listening music on the go, and doing homework , but i would also like to share my music in some ocasions like those unforgettable moments when you hangout with your friends and family, or while watching a movie. what would you recommend me , a nice pair of sennheiser momentum or a bose soundlink mini? (i already own v moda crossfade lp headphones, they sound really great but are very uncomfortable for long periods of time like editing. And i really like the looks of the sennheiser.)

Hey guys, I recently began hearing some more music again. So I thought it would be time for some new headphones. I was always amazed of an example in a near store. I think their are called Bose Soundtrue around ear. But I don't really know too much about headphones. I would use them for almost only music (got some others for gaming...). I would probably hear the most from an iPad or another iOS/(maybe android) device and only seldom on my PCI. My budget is up to 190 euro(210$). I would also prefer around ear headphones. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Who da bauss? it's been a while since audio products from Bose was removed from Apple in-stores & online stores Now it's confirmed that they will be back on the apple stores later next year(UPDATE :Maybe available early before this christmas) , While Apple's Beats label and Bose are fierce competitors, the Bose name remains a big draw for customers. Apple and Bose appear to have worked out disagreements as it was confirmed that their headphones & speakers will be featured back on Apple stores later next year..Bose-branded products disappeared from Apple’s website on October 17th without explanation from either party involved Bose Soundlink 3 Bose’s return to Apple’s retail stores follows a hiatus that lasted over a month in which the high-quality headphones and speakers were pulled from both Apple’s online and retail stores without explanation. Good move from apple i guess, but on a flipsyde apple may or maynot have bought them back just to boost profits regarding beats , although these are being sold along with Beats it's profit for them anyways.. recent friction between apple & Bose was the advertising agreement between Bose and the NFL, by which resulted in players appearing on camera during events with the popular Beats headphones being fined creating more contention between Apple’s Beats and Bose. Please do post your thoughts on this down below.. Link: http://9to5mac.com/2014/12/09/bose-beats-apple-store/

Hello, this is my first review. I was bored, and wanted to do some, so I decided my headphones for why not. Simple Pre-Wrap: I have a pair of Bose AE2 headphones, sturdy headphones with an over-ear design, with leather ear cups that provide a decent amount of bass. Real, long review: The Bose AE2 Headphone review by Zambonie Build Quality and Design ----------------------------------- The Headphones have a pretty good build quality, like on the website, it can be bent a lot before breaking. My brother has a white pair of these headphones, and he destroys everything in sight (really, I think he just got his 7'th tablet a week ago due to broken screens on the other ones, and he broke a screen on one of my tablet and phones.) You are able to twist and turn the headband a fairly good amount without even feeling that it will be able to break until you get until a certain point, in which is a lot more than you think. Most of the inner headband is made of metal, unsure of why type, with wires running through them. The top has cloth and rubber to provide a very comfortable experience. The headphone case itself are made out of plastic, in which is partly thick and strong. The ear cups are made of leather, which is very soft, making it able to form around your head, and overall is extremely comfortable. Though due to this, air isn't allowed to flow through, which makes it hard to wear if you or the room is very hot. Inside of the headphones, were your ears actually go, there is a fair amount of room, I don't feel at all the plastic inside the earcups nor the cloth covering the actual speakers, even when shaking my head, shifting the headphones. My ears are not to big nor small, probably more on the big side, but they fit perfectly. The cable isn't strong, nor weak, it's probably almost like any other headphone cable, though lots of people have had been complaining about the cable breaking. I've hadn't ever had any problems with them, but even with people complaining, it's good that Bose included a cable that you are able to take out of the headphones, store it or so, and even replace it if it ever does break. The jack is right-angled, Male, with the cable connecting into the headphone itself being straight up, in which this case doesn't matter, Female. It would have been better if the cable was braided for it wouldn't tangle, I've had it tangle a couple of times on me. Bass and speaker quality ----------------------------------- Overall, in one word, great. It's not the best, but its pretty darn lose to being one of the best. Treble is great, bass is just right (unlike Beats), and overall, its good! Lots of detail, even with the volume really low. I've noticed things in songs that I've never noticed with any other headphones. It could be even better, because my laptop's sound card isn't the really best at all. The bass, like said, is perfect almost. You can hear it so clearly, without blocking any other sound, creating a great sound. The only thing I have to blame for, is when my music get to really high high's, it seems to get to high, but it really isn't that bothering, and than again, it could be my sound card. When it comes to surround, it really isn't surround 7.1 or even 5.1 really, you just hear left, right, and bass on anything regular. Ofc when it comes to stuf that is made to create a surround-like experience, like some of those videos showing off their "amazing technology that allows you to hear everything around you!" You can hear the surround, and pretty greatly. You are able to hear the music and voice both very clearly, without neither blocking each other's sound. The earcups is what provides the bass, in which lots of people complain about of the bass not sounding right when not having the earcups on them properly, but they are very comfortable to wear for hours, even all day, unless you or the room gets very warm of hot. Portability and related.. --------------------------------- Simple topic, it isn't the most portable headphones that fold up into like a ball or something, the the earcups are almost allowed to rotate a full 180 Degrees, being able to make the earups fold flat, to decrease the space that the headphones actually take. Like said before, the headphone cable is actually able to be taken out, which helps a lot when packing the headphone into it's case. Conclusion ---------------- Its pretty good. Good for music listeners of any kind, not really for gamers. I would rate it a 8.6/10 or around. I would recommend it others, its only about $150 I'm pretty sure as of now. I hope you've enjoyed the review, tell me anything that you may want to know about these headphones and I'll try to include it Asap, just make sure you tag me with @Zambonie. Thanks you, -Zambonie
