Hello All, I recently built a gaming PC and I am having issues when gaming where it randomly gives me a backscreen and freezes. The black screen only occurs when playing intense games such as MW2 or Doom Eternal. It plays fine until sometimes a few mins in and sometimes 30 mins in where the screen just goes black and the PC is Non-Responsive. I usually hit the restart button and I am unable to play without further issues for another day. Almost seems like it only happens once per restart. I've turned off all overclocking, XMP Disabled system running at default. BSOD - GPU - Windows 11 all have all available drivers and updates installed. CPU is operating within temps under load. I've stress tested the CPU and GPU with no fails. I've tried changing the power plan settings so there are no restrictions. Under Event Viewer I see the following errors quite a lot not sure if its the contributing factor: > Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported. HRESULT: 0x80070491 File: onecoreuap\admin\moderndeployment\autopilot\dll\dllmain.cpp, line 128 Message: NULL > Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. I've tried everything that I can think of but unable to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Hi, so i just upgraded my mainboard and cpu and now have serious problems when Gaming, especially with Fifa23. Every match (most of the time when the view changes e.g for shooting a corner) i suddenly get a blackscreen with the fans going crazy loud, but i can still hear the sound of the game. At this point i have to manually restart the computer again as i cant access anything. So i tried troubleshooting. Temps are on the high side but fine. GPU load ~84% with 83 degrees celcius and around 150 watt usage peak. CPU 50% usage and healthy 75 degrees, its a 65 Watt CPU. So my suspicion was the PSU as i only have a 500 Watt one, but if you calculate cpu+gpu at peak together and add in a bit of room for mainboard, fans, and the capacity decline of the PSU after 3 years, i just dont see why it wouldnt be enough. And the CPU has the same Watts as the one before. Next i thought the Mainboard temps would be too high, causing a shutdown. I dont have any source for the mainboard temperature but taking into consideration the gpu and cpu temps and my overpowered cpu cooler, i cant imagine this being the reason. Drivers should be up to date, i download the latest ones for Mainboard, BIOS and GPU and everything else windows found, even tried an older Version for the GPU. And changed the thermal Paste on the GPU. So now im a little bit out of ideas, especially as this doesent happen in Microsoft Flight simulator which is far more demanding. PS. I should add that my cpu has an 8 power pin entry and i only put in a 4 pin PSU cable as thats all my PSU has, but i dont think that causes the issue. PC SPECS: upgraded from i5-9400F to ryzen 7 5700X nvidia rtx 2060 32 GB RAM 2x 16 pro b550-M P Mainboard 500W PSU Would appreciate some help here as its just unusable at this point. Greetings

After sometime of playing games (usually 20-60min) my pc crashes with either or both a loud repeating-ish sound and a near blackscreen, some colours remain however those seem to be oversaturated. The PC runs just fine up until the very point it crashes. I recently reintsalled windows after I had some BSOD problems with my new systems and CPU driver, now those problems are gone I expierence seemingly GPU related crashes. I always already uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers. Thanks for help in advance! Edit: Games I play and experience the crashes with are, as those are the only ones I played on this system so far, are Civ IV, Valorant and Satisfactory. Civ IV and Satisfactory also give me an error code with Exception Violation Access, idk if they are related though.

Black screen with cursor before Windows 10 log in
askgodtosaveyouu posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello everyone A couple of hours ago a program crashed "white screened" I was able to restart the computer from my second monitor. When it booted I was met with a black screen and cursor. No key combinations work reset graphics drivers, task manager nothing. I installed the latest BIOS didn't work, CMOS BATTERY change, all peripherals were removed, I tried to install win 10 from a usb same thing but the screen background was purple with a cursor, unplugged and swapped monitor cables, single monitor was tried also. Windows logo doesn't show when booting. Removed and reseated RAM sticks, removed NVMe ssds, the HDDS haven't been removed. -
I just bought my pc parts, got them all together and I am having a nightmare making my pc work. I had issues getting to the bios and getting my keyboard to work. When I finally fixed that and got to the Bios, it didnt work at all, but I got to work the boot options and got to install windows. Finally when I had about 60% of the installation done, it screwed up and now I am having so much issues! When I turn it on, the "asus logo" doesnt even show up, so I restart It and in 1 out of 15 attempts I can get in the american megatrends logo to go to setup, and when I press f1 to enter setup I get a black screen. Right now, most of the times I turn it on I will get a black screen followed by my monitor turning on for 2 seconds and then off again. Please help! I have tried everything and searched a lot on reddit but right now I have no idea how to move on!!! I have an amd 5600x, 16gb ram, 3060ti and asus a520m A II. I think the motherboard could be corrupt, but it doesnt make sense since every component is 4 days old. If you need any more explanation I am open to keep adding comments.

EDIT: Fixed! (Motherboard/internal PCIE lanes were faulty) So, i finally managed to pay for a new PC Build but have trouble with it ever since. My Build: AsRock X670E PG Lightning Ryzen 9 7900x Gigabyte RTX 4080 Gaming OC MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 PSU Kingston 1TB M2 Drive My Problem: During the install of the Nvidia Driver my screen goes blank as usual, but it never comes back. Even after booting, the pc shows the bios loading and then freezes the picture as soon as the OS would load. After several boots the automated Windows driver manager kicks the nvidia driver and the card shows as Basic Adapter in device manager. Also the card then throws Error31 and sometimes 42. What I've tried: - Several Power cables; 2x8 pin to 12VHPWR; 12VHPWR to 12VHPWR; not used the Nvidia daisy chain cable that comes with the GPU - Installing W10 without M2, installing W10 on Sata SSD, installing w10 without Windows automated Driver manager, W10 install offline - Disabling Fast Boot - Setting PCIE to Gen4 - Several CMOS resets - reseating RAM, CPU and GPU - installing older Drivers - installing older Chipset Drivers - HDMI / DP no change - RMA'd Mainboard and CPU and RAM but they found no issue (doubt that to be honest) --> Got the same components back - All Versions of the Bios seem to have the same issue (1.09/1.11/ and newest Beta 1.11AS03) - Memtest no issues - PC runs stable without GPU and integrated Graphics. Cinebench23 as expected, no failures - Disabled OC switch on GPU and reinstalled everything Please, I'd be glad for ANY suggestions. I really need some help fixing this, its like more than one month i tried to build it and dont have a pc since then

Hello, yesterday I finished building my new PC with a new motherboard (MSI X570s Carbon Max Wifi), two new additional RAM Sticks Corsair Vengenance 16GB 3600 CL 18, and some new fans. The other parts of my old computer moved into the new one (RTX 3080 TI and a ryzen 9 5900x. When I finished building my PC I initially also had trouble to see a video output but I then switched my graphics card bios from 'gaming' to 'silent' and then video output over HDMI worked. I installed a new windows11 version and went on with customizing my system (rgb software and other stuff, also did a bios update and enabled xmp). I then wanted to restart my system because I had previously installed MSI Dragon Center but then deleted it once I realized that it messed with my rgb on my RAM Sticks. So after restarting my system I somehow got no video output. The debug LED show nothing and everything works as expected (all fans are spinning, all RGB Leds are on). The only thing not working is my video output. Since then I started unplugging all cables on my power supply and plugging it back in. I tried removing the RAM Sticks and see if on RAM stick works. By doing that I got the error code 02 on my motherboard which according to msi means 'AP initialization before microcode loading'. I then tried every RAM stick a time but the error stayed. But once I install all 4 RAM sticks the error is gone. (pretty weird?) So right now I am out of options. I dont have another graphics card that I could test nor do I have another motherboard since I already sold my old one. Could my graphics card be damaged? Or somehow my power supply? But then again everything that needs power works. I also think I am able to boot into windows. I dont get video output but once I start typing my password with my keyboard and hit 'enter' a led on my keyboard is on that is only on when I am in windows? Does someone have an idea on what I could do here?

OK.. A little strange and nothing/nobody can help, My PC normally has 2 regular monitors and a drawing tablet that it 9/10 times connected, essentially functions as 3 monitors/displays, my main display is *to my knowledge* and aurous elite (kd25f?) And it is the problem child, I turned on my PC like usual this morning, I had left the Sims 3 running paused on accident( if its helpful since it locks me into said display when playing ) and my main monitor is completely black screened, I assumed it was the Sims 3 being weird when I could exit out and use the rest as usual, except the black screen wouldn't leave. I shut down my PC, booted back up, black screen again, and as its my main monitor it normally lights up for the password, I could log in as normal and the other two lit up with the correct backgrounds and programs still seemed to open up on the 1st screen as I could Win+shift+ arrow them around the three displays, but alas, no picture. And then I decided fuck it, unplug the monitor and see what happens. This is where I'm stuck, the PC still detects like it has 3 monitor, still functions like that main monitor is there when its unplugged, plugged in, whatever. I can't find anything about this online and I'm so lost, I live in a very small town too so I don't have high hopes for being able to afford a tech repair shop if we even have one that could handle this. Just, if anyone has any ideas, p l e a s e.

So this is my system: Ryzen 5 3600 B450M Tomahawk by MSi 2x3200 Dual 16 Kit from Vengeance Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT Problem is the following: 1. Starting the PC either results in 50% "No Signal" or 50% Startup with various speed to homescreen 2. When doing 2 things at once - e.g. Youtube playing and starting up a game, PC can freeze, audiostutter, lose signal and play audio etc. 3. I have run Benchmarks and Windows 10 RAM-Diagnostics but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. 4. Monitor is not the problem, I tried multiple once with different Input-variants 5. Games like Tomb Raider used to run flawless, now it sometimes just wont load and I can't even manage to enter task-manager 6. I can only play fortnite fairly smoothly - SO HELP IS REALLY NEEDED My guess is defective RAM. I will be sending in my Dual Kit to my vendor, since I have a service level gold attached to by order from back when, so replacement should be easy. Any other guesses or fixes are always welcome!

Hey guys, So I'm having an issue with my internal webcam on my laptop (Asus UX430UA). Basically whenever I use the windows camera app, skype or any other video service it just shows a black screen, also a white led turns on next to the webcam when using the apps possibly indicating the webcam is on? I tried googling and looking at other forums for months now and seems like no one has a straight answer and/or fix. I tried uninstalling the webcam driver " USB2.0 HD UVC WebCam" and reinstalling and that didn't work, tried looking for an updated driver via Asus driver downloads and there isn't one listed for my model and also made sure all Windows 10 privacy settings are not blocking the webcam from working and that still didn't work. Hopefully someone has a suggestion that I haven't tried yet, here are the details of the driver; Version: 10.0.18362.693, Date: 6/21/2006. Thanks in advance!

My screen had become dim and black after I spilled some small amount of water on the keyboard. The laptop (HP) is like 8 years old and is operating on windows 7. When the water fell on the keyboard, I panicked and removed the keyboard from the laptop immediately. I then dried of the water from the keyboard and placed it back into the laptop. When I was connecting the keyboard to the laptop, the screen blinked two times and went black. I started to worry whether will the laptop work or not. I restarted the laptop but it was black still and I became a lot worried. I then noticed something on the screen and it was the HP logo which was very dim. I felt relieved but the screen was dim which I was not happy about. I started the windows normally and waited for the windows to load everything. Good news - The laptop works Bad news - It's way to dim and I can't see anything so I just can put on the torch to see where I was going. Another bad news - I am in lock down and I can't get out of the house and give this laptop for repairing. So please, I really need your help. I want your help to fix this laptop and it needs to be done very soon. I want to at least be able to use this laptop until the lock down is over and that I can buy a new one.

My pc has prior to this worked fine for a few months, but now after turning on and starting windows it will black screen, the fans sometime spin up, and the power button doesn’t work, making it have to be shut off by the PSU. What part could cause this? My guess was GPU but after an RMA they said it worked fine. My next bet is either the PSU or lack of cooling cooling is 1xCase fan, 1xCpu stealth cooler, 2xGPU built in fans. All items are up to date. Hello Pretty much as the title says, When I boot up I get "No input Signal" until I get to the windows login screen, then its completely normal with no issues. Now this isn't a massive problem as I can use my tv to get into bios on boot but just not with my monitor. Anyone got any advice? Im pretty sure its just the monitor but who knows? Cheers. Joe. so instead of buying all new parts i had reused my case and psu from an old dell workstation. not the best call, but you gotta do what you gotta do when money's tight. So im running an apu athlon 200ge, 8gb dual channel memory, 250gb ssd and a 480 psu. Note* while building this thing the power button on the case didnt work, so i had to bypass the switch with a screwdriver everytime*. Installed windows then updated it, noticed it didnt boot up after the update. took out a stick of ram to let it run single channel. BAM, started up, all nice and updated, downloaded the drivers and life was great. Restarted it to put it into xmp, then shut it down to reinstall the second stick. Windows still didnt boot. So I was ready to give up and run 4gb single memory. I wanted to test the one stick of ram if it was faulty so i replaced it with the one that works. tried it, didnt boot, so now i kno its faulty even tho its brand new. so i tossed it aside, put the other ram in but now my screen would go black after windows loading screen. I can still boot to bios, but wont go into windows. PLEASE HELP.

I need help, so I was playing Destiny 2 a lot lately and i set my video setting to highest and 4k and resolution on 100% and no problem . but when boost resolution to 125 or 150, my pc black screen and restart after a few minutes of gaming. I did some research and this could be that my power strip is not good enough ( since I probably use one of those cheap one that you can buy at walmart) or do i have to buy a UPS for my pc? PC spec: GPU: 2080 Ti CPU: 9900k Ram: 64 GB PSU 1000i corsair Please help me figure that could be wrong, I am positive that I can run my game around 125 to 150 percent for resolution.

This is a bit of a long post because of all the steps I took to try to fix the problem before posting to ask for help. A few days ago I accidentally hit the power switch on my power strip (the strip is right next to my pc and is easy to hit with one of the wheels on my chair I have accidentally done this before, but it didn’t cause any issues at all) that the pc was plugged into, which corrupted the ssd This started an automatic repair loop. One I got into recovery settings, I tried using cmd to repair it to no avail, I also tried resetting the ssd to factory, but it kept giving me an error saying it couldn’t be done. Later I tried I tried backing up the files on the corrupted ssd, reinstalling windows and restoring them to the new install, which would send me to the original repair loop, once I tried booting to it. (I cant run a backup from my actual backup HDD as it died a month beforehand.) The last thing I did was try using hiren’s win pe environment to run a restore from the same backup, but the current problem happened where it won’t show up in disk or device management. restarting the pc shows a black screen for about 10 min before running a repair loop. I have looked everywhere online to try to fix the problem but haven’t been able to to find any info on my issue. . This is also a prebuilt from cyberpower that I upgraded if that matters. Pc specs: Kingston 120 gb Sata ssd Adata xpg 512gb nvme m.2 ssd (corrupted, wont show up in winpe) \ tb hdd (where backup is stored) I5 8400 Msi rx 580 4g Msi b360m bazooka 8gb ram here are some photos. this will also be posted to other tech fourms such as Tomshardware and r/pcmasterrace

This is my problem: my computer won't boot, it just turnes to a blackscreen with the numbers ''92'' in the down right corner. I have tried both with and without all the usb's and everything connected. I have cards in crossfire too and i have tried switching them around and doing just one card with both of them, but they display the numbers 92 in the down right corner, so the're not broken right?` I am going to reset my bios by short circuting two pins on my motherboard. These are my specs: AMD FX-8350 OC to 4.7 Ghz (two) Asus R9 280 3gb MSI 970 gaming motherboard I would appreciate any help I can get.

Hi guys, so I recently upgraded to: MSI z270 PRO CARBON Intel i5 7600K Samsung evo 850 500gb Corsair Vengence 2x8 GB In it I stuck my old GTX 970, which is where the problems begin. I can't get monitor signal through it The card lights up, the fans spin, but it does nothing. The onboard graphics work fine, so I'm using that to type this message. The monitor will not work if the 970 is installed, unless the bios has been changed to force it to use the onboard graphics. In device manager it can see the 970 is there, and I've installed the drivers for it, but monitor still didn't pick up any output. I will add that the monitors are hooked up to mini-displayport, and the onboard is HDMI, but I don't see why this should matter after drivers have been installed. I've also tried the 970 in a different PCI slot, but similar results. It would be awesome if the card wasn't bricked, so if you guys have any ideas?

Hi I just bought the Acer XG270HU everything works fine until is turn freesync on. When I start a game with freesync on (I tried The Witcher 3 and Dota 2) the screen goes black for a few seconds before coming back normal. Then whenever I change menus, or load a game the same happens again. I can play games, but the blackscreens in between are very annoying. My graphics card is the R9 390 by the way. Any help welcome. Thanks in advance

My system: * Win 10 Pro * 32GB of DDR4 Avexir RAM * GTX 1080 G1 Gaming * AsRock B250M Pro4 * Intel Core i7-7700 * Seasonic S12II 620 * Asus MG279Q monitor If I'm playing games (Grim Dawn and DotA 2to be more precise) and listening to youtube videos (music) it has a very high chance of crashing. The crash is as follow: * Everything was working normally (core temps showed everything is ~40-50 Celsius degrees) * Monitor suddenly shutdown like the video signal was cut off (black screen) * Audio still plays normally * All the fans roar like they were pushed to max * The only thing to do then is to hard shutdown or reset (push the buttons) * If left be, after a minute or so the audio got distorted and freeze, going rrrrrrrrr just like a normal crash. * Everything is ok after the hard reset. Like, nothing happened, I couldn't find any log or warning either. The PC just works smoothly. The problem never occurs if I don't listen to youtube nor it happens on any period of time playing game, with music blasting as long as it's from the game. (I tested it with 8 hours of playing heavily modded Skyrim/Fallout 4, the rig works just fine) Thanks.

Both my monitors (AOC 23" IPS 1920x1080) have been working fine with my new graphics card (GTX 1070). My old one was a Saphire R9 280x and it worked fine on that. I went away for 2 days and when I come back I can only get 1 monitor to work DVI to DVI. when I plug in the HDMI to DVI into my second monitor both monitors go no signal. I have tested both monitors work with the DVI port but i cant get the HDMI port to work even just the 1 monitor. I have taken my graphics card out and cleaned any dust that may have been on it, although I had just cleaned my whole PC about a month ago so that shouldn't be the issue. After this i bought a display port to female DVI to test if the HDMI port was not working. still all 3 display ports don't show any signal. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics drivers and when it was uninstalling my screen went black and i haven't been able to get back from there. When i start up my computer it lets me log in and flashes the desktop for a split second before turning black and only showing the cursor. I am currently running of my on-board graphics as I have removed the graphics card so i can use my computer. I have tried many solutions for a similar problem that i have found on forums. I cant continue to run of on-board as i use my computer for 3D software. I am on windows 10. Thanks.
