MAINBOARD: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D GPU: Asus Rog Strix RX 480 8GB (from old PC) RAM: Corsair Vengance RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL30 SSD1: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB SSD2: Corsair MP600 PRO XT 2 TB PSU: MSI A850G PC-CASE: BeQuiet Silent Base 802 HEADSET: Logitech Pro X (with cable) Hello. I am new to this stuff and can't articulate myself like I'd like to, so I beg your pardon in advance and hope you can help me nonetheless. I bought a brand new computer and while I listen to music on Spotify and Youtube i get random sound popping and/or microstutter. On my old PC I never had such problems. Sometimes when I listen music on Spotify I get randomly some kind of microstutter (sound dropout) for just like a millisecond on my USB Headset. And if I play the same part again it's not reapearing again. I tried a lot of solutions like deactivating USB ports I don't use, updating all drivers I have, try out every USB port I have on my PC (mainboard and PC Case) and USB Headsets of other manufactures. When I listen with some AUX Headphones I don't get such problems. So my question is if I got a problem with my Mainboard, if it's a problem with a driver of the manufacturer or even something I never thought about til now.? Thanks in advance

I swapped out the SATA M.2 SSD I had in my Zenbook Duo (UX481 running Debian 12) for an NVMe one and now resuming causes the drive to either disconnect or become read only after a few seconds causing the system to freeze/hang. I've tried a bunch of workarounds but nothing has fixed the issue. kernel parameters I've tried: acpi_rev_override=1 acpi_osi=Linux mem_sleep_default=deep iommu=soft acpiphp.disabled=1 pcie_aspm=disabled nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 nvme.noacpi=1 Any other ideas? I've had the same problem on a 1TB Intel 660p and now a 512GB Eluktronics branded drive.

Hi, so a couple of weeks ago I built a new system, for both gaming and some content creation. All went well but this morning when I turned on the PC it wouldn't even boot to BIOS. I tried clearing the CMOS, flashing the latest version of BIOS, and at a closer inspection the motherboard(I should of started with that) had the error code 90 and and white LED turned on near. I just don't know what to do with that and I really needed my PC this weekend cause of my project. I am planning to use the Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II for my new build with a i9-14900k. The plan is to use a Corsair Dominator Titanium 2 x 48GB 6600MT/s CL32 kit. (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/memory/cmp96gx5m2b6600c32/dominator-titanium-rgb-2x48gb-ddr5-dram-6600mt-s-cl32-intel-xmp-memory-kit-cmp96gx5m2b6600c32) Now; this specific kit is not shown on the compatibility list (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z790-e-gaming-wifi-ii/helpdesk_qvl_memory/) (Make sure it's on 14th gen.) All though the RAM does in theory fit within the motherboard specs for speed and size. I have doubts on how up-to-date/complete the compatibility list is. Based on the list there is only one supported set that can fill the claimed 192GB capacity. On the other hand: The Intel website also only claims "Up to DDR5 5600 MT/s" for the CPU, whilst it obviously can handle much more. So; would it be a safe bet to get this set of RAM in this build?

Hello, I am trying to finish my build but keep running into some issues with the system stuck on ACPI Initialization (code 78). Spec Details - Motherboard - Asus Pro WS WRX80E CPU - AMD Threadripper Pro 5955WX GPU - A2000, RTX 2070, RTX 3070 RAM - 1. 32GB kit - Sk Hynix 16 GB 2Rx8 PC4-3200AA -RE2-12 2. 128GB kit - Crucial 16 GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM 1.2 V CL 22 BIOS - Version 1201 2023/06/07 PSU - Asus ROG Thor 1200 Watts OS - no OS (haven’t decided) Details on the issue - Then CPU was harnessed from a Lenovo P620 in working condition with the Sk Hynix kit. The motherboard in the current system has been replaced since the initial purchase had an error code ‘C0’ which has no reference in the manual nor Asus support had a clue. Got a replacement and now run into POST code ‘78’ (ACPI Initialization) with the DRAM amber/yellow led ‘ON’. Troubleshooting steps thus far - 1. Reseated the RAM 2. Reseated the CPU 3. Re wired the cables 4. Tried different RAM configurations in different slots (yes the same pairs of sticks) 5. Re flashed the BIOS with no errors (no way to tell as the instructions for flashback mention of the BLUE led on the IO blinks and then goes out indicating success) 6. Reset BIOS (CMOS clear) 7. Tried all the GPU’s I had (not in pairs obviously) 8. Going to swap the CPU and Sk Hynix RAM back to the Lenovo P620 to check if I haven’t damaged anything in the swap process Anybody has any idea on how to get this resolved?

Hi i try to build an pc with ECC memory. I have an asus pro ws x570-ace motherboard and a ryzen 5 3600X processor. The first ram i tried didn't work - the "DRAM-LED" on the motherboard was Yellow an nothing happend. Now i have a RAM that is officially supported by the Motherboard (HMA82GR7AFR4N-VK), and i have the same issue. Is there a Bios setting i have to apply? Now ECC support is set to "auto". With memory form an other PC the System is booting, so the motherboard and cpu work fine. Any ideas to solve this problem. Thx, spitzbuaamy

First I wanna say thank you for taking the time to read what I can only assume to be the worst dumpster fire of a situation, My pc’s mobo is a Prime z370-A, I used to run windows 10 pro and now on windows 11 because of the journey to madness, the reason I went from a utp cat 6 to a cat 8 flat is because of damage and common disconnecting due to the old cable, things I have tried to get the motherboard to notice the cable that is now connected consist of network resting, dns flushing, ip/dns release and renewing, updating the driver through the windows feature even tried to get the new ones from the manufacturer but to no use, and yes I did try turning it on and off again, oh there is also the method from bios where I tried the onboard devices thing, any help is appreciated.

Hello Guys, this is gonna be a tough one. I am facing two Problems that are probably connected by the same issue. So lets start with some Info about my System. Asus Z790 Hero, Bios 1501 i9 13900KS, direct die cooled G.Skill TridentZ DDR5 6400 RTX 4090 Strix OC Full Custom Loop 1. Cooler Master HAF 700 Controller in Back of the Case to a internal USB 2.0 onto the Motherboard. 2. Aquacomputer High Flow Next, connected to the other internal USB 2.0 header. Fan Setup Case: 2x200mm Front Fans, 2x140mm Rear Fans -> Haf 700 Hub -> PWM to CPU_FAN Fan Setup Radiators: 8x140mm Fans -> Deepcool Fan Hub (powered by Molex) ->PWM to Chassis_Fan1 Software: CoolerMaster MasterPlus (for Front Display / RGB) SignalRGB for all my RGB obviously Aquasuite to monitor my Water Temp / Flow First Problem: I am running a Custom Loop in my PC in a HAF 700 Case by Cooler Master. Couple Months after use, whenever my PC idles for too long i get some USB Connection issues with my two internally connected Devices. Now, whenever i started to idle my PC (happened only once while gaming), my Aquacomputer Device would just start connecting/disconnecting very fast a couple of times, until the sound stopped and my device was no longer visible. One Time i moved my Mouse after idle and i got an USB Overcurrent Message on Win11 and could only Reboot. First Picture: all normal after Reboot. Second Picture: After USB disconnects. Now, i already checked my Cables to the Haf 700 Controller and the Aquacomputer High Flow Next, and after a reboot it is all connected again with no issues. Normally it wouldn't be a big Problem, but i am using this Device to Monitor my Flow and Water Temperature. Second Problem: My Q-Fan Controls in Bios work for hours at best after reboot, then my Fan Speed just locks to 900RPM on Chassis_Fan1, and 600RPM on CPU_Fan. Sometimes even 300RPM for both. I have no clue which Software meddles with my Fan Speeds or why my Bios does not control the Fans anymore. I did use Fan Xpert 4 by Armoury Crate that never worked / lost control but i got rid of that Software by now. Fans are set to monitor CPU Package Temperature and Auto-Detect for DC or PWM Mode. I need to get these Speeds under Control reliably, otherwise my Water Temp rises to 45°C in Summer without me knowing. Thats why i also use my Alarm that the Aquacomputer HFN has on its firmware. Now to what i already tried: -Updating Bios to Version 1501 -Enabling High Power Energy Profile / disabling USB Suspend -Uninstalling the Cancer Armoury Crate ( with their official uninstaller ) -Disabling Tasks one by one to try and find what takes control of my Fans I cannot use the Fan Control Software on Github, because it sometimes completely freezes my PC when it idles for too long. Don't ask my why, the Problem disappered after i stopped using it. But that shows, there is some major Problem that links my two issues together but i can not find it. This is one of those things you just cannot google. This PC has been built in March by me and was running reliably for a while. Software is pretty clean, only MasterPlus was needed for the Display and Armoury Crate i uninstalled. I dont' know what to do. I need all of you Anthonys out there to find this one

The problem: After I used GParted to format my drive, suddenly nothing wants to boot. The BIOS key doesn’t seem to work, only the BIOS POST key (so the keyboard works, and it does respond to the input), but that only gets to listing the specs. I have already tried removing the CMOS battery, unplugging the drives, only leaving a USB drive with SystemRescue on it, but nothing boots. Also, when I just leave it to boot, it just stalls on the ASUS logo forever. Specs: Motherboard: Asus P8B-C/4L REV 2.0 CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 v2 3.4GHz RAM: 2x Hynix 8GB DDR3 1600MHz UDIMM ECC PSU: Chieftec Smart 400W Storage: 4x WD RED 2TB 1x Crucial MX500 250GB

Hey guys, Long story but I recently found that my ASUS Zephyrus M15 laptop has a lot of factory defects that are making it ridiculously hard and expensive to repair. I want to talk to a higher up support tech at ASUS to see if I can get it replaced or repaired quickly, but I keep getting stuck with the low level support that don't really have power to help at all. I've called all morning and can never get past a level 2 "supervisor". Does anyone have experience actually getting to talk to someone that isn't limited to a script, and that can offer me more than a 20% discount on a repair I shouldn't have even had to make? Don't get me wrong, 20% discount is good, but it just sucks that I would still have to play $100+ for a manufacturing error. Thanks!

So, I have a Crosshair viii Hero motherboard with a Ryzen 5800x and 64 GB of Trident Z RGB ram and an EK 360mm AIO. The chip to the left of the AIO pump/ cpu fan headers (pictured) started glowing red hot and smoking when I booted up my pc just now, smelling of burnt electronics. However, my PC still booted and didn't crash or anything running a CPU stress test through fur mark, I did some rudimentary internet sleuthing and could not find a definitive answer on what the purpose of this chip is, evidently it's not necessary too boot but I'd like to make sure I'm not putting my other hardware at risk by running it. Any help would be much appreciated.

My pc doesn't boot up. I changed bios battery, graphics card and monitor's cable but not fixed. Also i changed rams too.

Ram related boot problem (usual culprit) Was in bios graciously perusing my CPU voltage when it appeared too high for its lifespan rating. I lowered it back down to 1.3500 volts and decided to lower my ram mhz from 3600 to 3200 (negligible speed difference and these other chips are far better). I inserted two 16 gb Vengeance chips (cmk16gx4m2b3200c16) with correct orientation in B1 and B2. This is in a prime b550 plus ac-hes. I am unable to get to boot. Instinctively, I reset the CMOS the battery way. This still did not bring it to boot so I mix and matched, reset CMOS again, and eventually went back to the original configuration of ram chips (before I decided to mess around with my bios). However, this still did not work. I am 99% certain I didn't shit on my baseboard because it would have a red led or beep code. Note: Strangely, whenever I plug my mouse-usb (halfway) into the rear panel, it powers on. I have ensured the ram slots are ok as well. If it is useful, the board I am using is a prime B550 ac-hes.

So I wanted to turn down the GPU fans to 0% when the temperature is under say 50c. However, MSI afterburner wont let me turn it below 30%. Is this locked because of a setting in afterburner, or in my BIOS? Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB DUAL OC-Thank you.

Meow Meow humans, I know you are not supposed to oc the x3d chips from AMD and the amd overclocking pbo page has gone completely in bios (as expected) but the Asus pbo tuner is still available in a limited capacity as in you cant set a mhz boost or set ppt, edt, tdp but you can use the scaler, set max tjp and use the curve optimizer as normal. I did see a big improvement as expected with a negative offset -30 with all core boost behaviour but I turned it off in case its damaging in the longevity of the chip. So let me know can I use curve optimizer? Thanks in advance and Happy new year I am finally buying a new GPU so lets hope its a good year for gpu releases and pricing, wont hold my breath.

Hi I am runing a ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming motherboard that boots from a Intel SSD sata 2.5 and I decided to install a new m.2 ssd. (First m.2 to be installed in my pc). After installing the m.2 my pc wont boot in to windows and I cant access the BIOS either. Tried spaming both F2 and Del key like it says on the boot loading screen but nothing. I tried installing it in both of my m.2 slots but nothing and when I removed it again my pc boots fine. I am thinking that my PC dont know from what drive to boot from but I cant access the bios to choose what drive to boot from. What to do? Also I am 99% sure that I installed the ssd correctly.

ram RAM Frequency is lower than it should be.
Paget96 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, could someone please explain why my RAM frequency remains at 2133MHz even though I have 3200MHz RAM? Here are my system specifications: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-wifi-ii-model/) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X RAM: G.Skill 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/166/1536654268/F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) I have 2x16GB RAM sticks installed in the correct slots according to the motherboard manual. In the BIOS, the RAM frequency is set to "Auto" (default). Thanks in advance. -

Hello community, I have an Intel based gaming PC from 2020 with an RTX 3080 which is working great. For my brother I have build an AMD gaming PC in 2021. In first place he used an "Asus TUF GAMING OC Radeon RX 6900 XT 16 GB" which worked with Games well. But this GPU doesn't worked well with his special applications like ARCHICAD or Space Engine. Bad performance or sometimes black screen in the application. According to some forums this applications are more compatible with NVIDIA GPU's. So we bought some weeks ago an "Asus TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti". But the problem is with the NVIDIA, that the clock speed is always 825 MHz. I found out with the tool "GPU-Z", that bus interface is always 1.1. Power supply has 850 Watt, so there should be enough power. What I already tried: Installed new Windows 11 on additional SSD drive. Installed the newest drivers and Nvidia driver via Nvidia Experience. With the ASUS tool Armoury Crate, checked and installed drivers and also ASUS GPU Firmware (I think this is for the LED effects AURA). Installed the newest BIOS Version and reset settings to default. Checked power supply connections, two separate cables are connected to the NVIDIA power adapter. At Corsair 850 W power supply there is a switch for SINGLE and MULTIPLE. -> I set it to SINGLE. Tipp from ASUS support: Turn OFF in Windows Power Management "Turn Link State Power Management". Checked with tool "GPU-Z": PCI-Express x16 Port always use bus interface 1.1 instead of 4.0. According to ASUS Support, there could be a technical problem at the new GPU. So I send it back and I will buy a new RTX 4070 Ti. But before I send it back, I installed the RTX 4070 Ti at my Intel based PC and it performed normal. So I don't think that it will work with a new RTX 4070 Ti... Also I tested my RTX 3080 at the AMD PC and it's working good. PCI bus interface is 4.0 according to "GPU-Z" but according to UserBenchmark GPU performance is much to low... My question is, what can I try next when I get the new RTX 4070 Ti and still has bad performance? This is the PC setup: OS - Windows 11 x64 (Installed 2 weeks ago on a additional SSD for testing) OS is fully activated. Hardware is from December 2021. GPU is new. Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) ATX AM4 (BIOS Version: 4602) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Power Supply: Corsair HX850 Platinum 850 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 ATX Mid Tower I'm a bit desperate, because I think there could be a hardware problem in a different component... Because the RTX 4070 worked at my Intel PC and my RTX 3080 had also bad performance at the AMD PC... But maybe there are some BIOS settings or Tools that I can test, if it's helping or to get information what component is not working. And when it's a hardware problem the question is if I can get a replacement from the manufacturer under warranty. Thank you for helping me. Greetings, Alex

I updated the BIOS of my Asus ROG Strix X570-E GAMING motherboard from version 4303 to 5003. After updating the BIOS the system is stuck in a near perpetual LED firmware Update before restarting after a few seconds. At this point I am at my wits end on trying to fix this issue for the last five days. I've tried clearing cmos, flashing to different bios versions and unplugging everything from the board. My only clue is my Q-LED flashes code 98 before getting stuck on code b4. Accessing the Bios is still possible but only by tricking the board that something has changed physically on the board. System Specs: Cpu: Ryzen 5800x Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming Ram: 2X Fury HyperX 16Gb GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC3 Gaming Storage: Samsung EVO 500GB NVME

-ASUS TUF Z370-Plus Gaming -CORSAIR iCUE H115i RGB ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler, top mounted as air out - case Corsair 4000D Airflow - Corsair Elite AF120 fans 1 Airintake front,1 Air outtag back - case came with 2 fans(120) that I used in front as airintake - Intel Core i9 9th Gen - Core i9-9900KF So everything is running but I need some help, with Bios settings, first I want to insure that the cpu runs without oc. I think it does but unsure because in Windows it showes running with 5Ghz. My problem is that if I use intel xtu to see temperature and load and then run a stress test, the temps are really high. CPU goes from 35C to around 90c no throttle shows there, so that’s good but still feels like a high temp. What concerns me is the vr thermal throttling that occurs about 1-2 min into the test. Did I oversee anything in the Bios or is this just a 370 board problem? Been 10 years that I really was into pc building so need to refresh my knowledge and maybe someone her knows how to better set this up.

I'm shopping around for a new 4k monitor and a few years back LTT did a video on the ASUS ROG Swift 4K 144Hz PG27UQ, but the price point was 2000 and most graphics cards couldn't utilize it very well. So I'm curious, would you recommend the ASUS ROG Swift 4K 144Hz PG27UQ in 2023 at the 600 price point, with an RX 7700 XT, and considering FSR and/or DLSS? Or would there be a better buy? Trying to upgrade from a LG 27GL850-B.
