Under a normal workload, chrome, voip softphone, and light browsing, what should I be running at? What in the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks is running at 122C? Faulty sensor? Something really cool I dont know about?

Hi, so I've recently been wanting to get more out of my PC once again and now I'm looking into the possibility of a dual-tower air cooler, at least something with more than four heatpipes, no offense to my current Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One. Specifically, I've been looking at these coolers: Cryorig R1 Ultimate Cryorig R1 Universal be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi DeepCool Neptwin The thing is, I have no idea if half of these even fit inside an NZXT S340. I know that the H7 Quad Lumi fits inside because I've seen Bitwit (I think) use a H7 Quad Lumi inside an NZXT S340 with no issues. If anyone has any experience with any of these coolers and even better inside an NZXT S340, please let me know if a) they fit, and b) how good they are inside the case. I'm quite fond of the R1 coolers (not sure whether Ultimate or Universal yet) and the H7 Quad Lumi.

Front as intake or outtake with very little opening in front?
BabyPanda975 posted a topic in Cooling
Hello I’m using a Diypc Diamond Case tht has a little opening on the bottom of the front panel for air and nothing else. Should I leave it As is with intake in front and outtake out back or should I reverse it to intake from the one fan in back and two outtake through my radiator out the front as there is more room for air to be sucked in from the back- 4 replies

So I currently have an i5 650 (LGA1156) CPU with the Intel heatsink, simple enough right? But the tricky part is I want to upgrade to a Ryzen (AM4) system in a wee bit. I don't want to buy parts that I will have to replace when I do that, but I would like a better heatsink because I am rendering on it and don't want to leave my PC at 100% load for several hours on the stock heatsink. I am also on a bit of a budget, so cheaper options would be preferable, I am thinking tower cooler right now, as to stay on a budget but also allow mild overclocking later on. TL;DR Is there a tower cooler that is compatible with LGA1156 and AM4? Thanks Dark_Llama

Hi all, Quick question... I have a Ryzen 5 2400g, and the Wraith Spire (got it off a friend) isn't doing it justice at 3.9 ghz. What is the best option? I have a phanteks p400 Tempered glass, and lets say $30ish to spend...$40 max. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

My case (an old HP office PC) has no holes for the cooler for the PSU to put air through, only the back. Is it safe to put in a new PSU? If so, does it matter which way I put it? Thanks in advance.

so i want to switch my fans to rgb fans but i want to see the rgb from all sides which means all my fans will take air out of the case and none will take air in is it bad that all of the fans take the air out?

hi, These two cases are so similar it took me a while to see the differences: (1) Masterbox 5 (2) Masterbox 5 Black They are identical in size and all, but (1) has an exhaust on the top of the case which (2) doesn't. Will it make a big difference for air cooling? I noticed (1) is pretty rare to find, there are only (2)er cases available in local stores. Also, I like the accessories that ships with (2). Oddly, I couldn't find many reviews for (2). I am looking for a future-proof mid tower for < 100 € for i7-8700k and dark Rock pro 3 with side window and good air flow. I'd like to overclock it a bit but the i7 heats up pretty fast.

Hi, so I'm offically on the hunt for an air humidifier because I just can't take my room conditions anymore, it's affecting the dust situation, and also my skin to an extent, my room is far too dry. I've been recommended several times to get an air humidifier, but I don't know which one to go for. I'm looking for a humidifier which: • Is good for long running hours (~5 hours non-stop) • release heavy, moist mist • Is purchasble through Amazon UK • Is under £40 preferably • Is easy to clean preferably I don't care for noise because I use headphones 80% of the time I'm in my room and also because I close my door anyway. Aesthetics of the humidifier isn't such a big deal since it's going to be out of my sight and I prefer performance over looks (despite my PC).

I'm trying to understand how a 2080 Ti with a 450+W draw can possible be cooled by its tiny little fin stack, when much (much!) larger sinks (e.g. two 12" chunks of https://www.heatsinkusa.com/12-000-wide-extruded-aluminum-heatsink/) would have an ambient differential of 50+ degrees to handle a similar load (according to the manufacturer's C/W). Am I misunderstanding the amount of heat these cards are putting out? Underestimating the surface area of their fin stacks? Missing some other detail? If it's relevant I'm considering a somewhat Stefan1024-style build (though I plan to have a single, large fan pouring air over all the sinks).

which cooler will the best for my i5-8400 1.deepcool 400 2.hyper 212 can i change that fan with cooler master masterfan pro air balance?? or i go with h7 quad lumi with cooler master masterfan pro air balance? thanks in advance

There is a discount in my area for the Cooler master masterliquid 240 lite cpu cooler, and while my initial idea was to get the arctic freezer 33, they are now at almost the same price. With the i7-8700, what would you say about this? Moreover, my mobo has 2 chasis fan slots and 1 cpu fan slot- can i connect the liquid cooler while leaving 1 pin slot for the pc box fan hub?

A friend of mine has a MacBook Air. Its a piece of garbage but other than throwing it away and buying a windows machine is there any way to fix it. The keyboard shift key is stuck down. they key its self is fine but something is triggering it. Can't type in lowercase at all. Can't log into anything because of this. Tried cleaning it with compressed air. Anyone else have this problem? if so how did you fix it?

Hello, so I have decided to build my first ever gaming PC and I need a decent case with good airflow and I'm unable to find too many options. At first I thought the NZXT S340, but then I realised that it doesn't have any front mesh panels to allow more air flow, which is why I found this one https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/cooler-master-masterbox-mb500-black-case-mcb-b500d-kgnn-s00/ which has a mesh front and also it had RGB and a tempered glass as a bonus, but it isn't flawless, just an option. If anyone knows any good cases, please do let me know. I will not be installing a radiator or watercooling of any sort. Country: India.

Hello guys, I won a 8086k at intels sweepstake and it finally got delivered. Now I am wondering what to do with it. My current configuration: i5 6600k Z170 ASUS extreme (my old mainboard broke and i bought this as a replacement, was around 70€ and i was curious if it would have been worth the premium [Note: bluetooth is nice, as well as the QLED] 1070 GTX Zotac AMP extreme 1440p screen 16GB DDR4 250GB of M2 (boot drive) 2x 250GB SSD -> 500GB RAID0 750W PSU Powerzone Be quiet topflow air cooler Main questions: 1) Wait for Z390 or go for a Z370? As far as i get it, the Z390 doesnt really have a edge over the Z370. If Z370 - any recommendations, prefferable ASUS? 2) I definitly want to swap the cooler. I thought about an AiO (360mm or 240mm), but I have concerns about the noise, the pump is running all the time, right? An alternative would be a big air cooler like dark rock pro 4. Any experience, especially be quiet silent loop? Greetings Dessy edit: dang, wrong section, can someone move it to new builds and planning?

Okay, so I just had my PC repaired (an issue that didn't seem to have a root cause. Blue screen and HDD corruption.) in which they (supposedly) took everything out, put everything back in, wiped my HDD and put Win 10 on instead of Win 8.1, which is what I had. Luckily, that issue hasn't come back. At the same time, they also replaced a Molex to 4 pin (I think) wire to my fans on my side panel. I sort of broke it while taking out when I opened the case up. All is well... Until 5 days later (today). When I booted my PC up today (Didn't use it yesterday and the majority of today so it's been off for around 40 hours) everything was fine... For a second. Then I heard what I can only describe as a gushing sound. Like a fan is gushing air out, like a traditional desk fan. I freaked out and turned the PC off (normally). I booted it up again a few hours later, still the same sound. I used Speccy to look at my temperatues and all is well. Motherboard 27 degrees, GPU 30, HDD 26 and CPU 32. Any ideas what this rumbling could be? I haven't taken the case off as I don't know if the repair shop would claim I broke it if I did. I know they had it all apart as my fans are all cleaned out, including the front which is a pain in the ass to do with my case. All the outer fans are working and it sounds like the noise is coming from the inside (CPU, GPU (I have a 1050ti) and PSU) Thanks.

Hi everyone! So recently I've been wanting to switch my CPU cooler, since the one I'm using currently is some 10€ LC Power cooler, that keeps my CPU at around 75-80 C at load, but is just REALLY loud. This bothers me especially since I've been wanting to buy some open-back headphones because I've heard a lot of good stuff about them. CPU: AMD FX-8350 (AM3+) Case: MS-Tech CA-0300 Raptor NG Any suggestions on a good, silent cooler? I've never used AIO's before and they seem a tad expensive, so Air Coolers would be easier for me but if an AIO is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the Air Cooling options, then I'm willing to give it a shot. Any Advice is welcome!

Hi , i recently bough a new fan for my case (phanteks P400), i have installed (the extra one) on the top, doesn´t seems to do much , i already have one on the rear and in the front , should i leave 1 top , 1 front and 1 rear or move the top one to the front? thanks in advance.

I currently am running a Ryzen 5 2400g system. However, the wraith stealth isn't providing enough cooling power to keep my Ryzen 5 from thermal throttling when I attempt to overclock it. Any recommendations to what type of BUDGET cooler I should get(air/liquid) , and what would keep my CPU relatively cool under load? Thanks in advance!

Hey yall, Does using an i7 8700k with a NH-D15S air cooler require delidding or not? I'm guessing if you plan to pass 5.0GHZ then it would require it regardless. However, what would be the safest overclock possible with this air cooler that would still keep the CPU under good temperatures (without delidding)?

I had the idea to go for the Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One - which I shall be calling the Arctic 33 eSports from here - when I was itching to replace my ugly behemoth known as the Cooler Master Hyper 212, and also because I wanted more out of my CPU, particularly in temperatures. (Spoiler: It succeeded) Starting with the mounting of the cooler itself, I ended up having to remove my entire motherboard out of case due to the nature of the mounting bracket, which needs to latch on, and would be extremely difficult had I kept the motherboard inside the case. I did run into a problem where my motherboard's CPU backplate actually clashed with the 33 eSports's mounting plate, so I ended up having to lightly force the backplate onto my motherboard so the mounting holes would be parallel to the motherboard's holes. This showed why tower air coolers should be mounted outside the case, it eliminates any claustrophobia than if one were to attempt a cooler mount inside the case. In the end, I did manage to get it installed through Arctic's handy YouTube tutorial and my own experience with the Hyper 212 which I had mounted thrice previously. As you can see, it matches everything in my PC (and outside to boot) perfectly! Couldn't have planned the color scheme better if I tried! Excellent color choices from Arctic. Next was placing the board and the new cooler back inside my PC, and behold, the sexiest my PC has ever looked since its birth back in June. The 33 eSports' beautiful black and white contrasting color scheme blends in perfectly with the rest of my PC components, however admittedly the fan ddoes look a little lonesome with no RGB/LED lights on it, in the future perhaps? The cooler looks absolutely beautiful once inside the case and surrounded by the hardware atmosphere, it looks right at home and makes me wonder how this option flew over my head when I was starting out my PC build. Better late than never. Now onto the temperatures, they prepare your eyes. Here is my PC; and 8600K at 4.4GHz 1.2V, now with the brand new eSports One cooler installed. I ran a Cinebench R15 test and the highest my PC ever went was 61°C on a 4.4GHz overclock. Magnificent. I got slightly manic and wanted to go further, and decided to run my 8600K at 4.7GHz and still 1.2V. ... It peaked at 62°C. I swear I didn't PhotoShop these temps/clocks either. I am completely astounded by the strength of this cooler which I bought for £35. The Hyper 212 I bought for £10 less, by the way. I have complete confidence in using this cooler full-time on my 8600K at 4.4GHz and above, the temperatures are unbelievable. Moral of the story, get this cooler, because the Arctic 33 eSports One is the blatant budget choice for temps and clocks. The 33 eSports is also more aesthetically-pleasing to literally everything else.. No really, asking anyone and 10/10 times they'll prefer the Arctic 33 eSports One's visuals. So what can we get out of this comparison? It's that the Arctic 33 eSports can hold temperatures exceptionally well. In fact my 4.4GHz and 4.7GHz Arctic 33 eSports runs were done in succession within two minutes of each other. This is beneficial when you're doing heavy workloads and usage over the course of a long period. This fits into my usage, so it's a no-brainer that the Arctic 33 eSports would be destined for me. Let's talk about how the dynamics of how the cooler works. The architecture and design of the cooler is genius. The fans and the finwalls of the heatsinks help in dissipation, as shown below: Image courtesy of Arctic.ac There is also a thermal wall inside of the heatsink that creates artifical turbulence to dissipate more heat using more surface area. As you can see below, traditionally without thermal coating, the middle portion of the heatsink remains cold and doesn't contribute to any heat dissipation which is wasted surface area. Image courtesy of Arctic.ac The design of the fan also allows for universal RAM module compatibility with RAM sticks of any height due to the width of the heatsink and fan not overlapping any DIMM modules. Hello guys! I am not sure, which cpu-cooler i should buy... I will buy an i5-8600k and overclock him to ~5GHz. Should i buy a BeQuiet dark rock pro 4 or a noctua nh-d15? Thanks a lot Zero
