PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($397.00) CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (Purchased for $121.00) Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($255.00) Memory: G.Skill Value 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($303.00) Storage: Corsair Force LS 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased for $74.00) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased for $52.00) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card ($567.00) Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case (Purchased for $161.00) Power Supply: Corsair 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased for $206.00) Optical Drive: Asus DVD-E818AAT/BLK/B/GEN DVD/CD Drive (Purchased for $18.00) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro (OEM) (64-bit) (Purchased) Total: $2154.00 (The prices may seem higher than US prices, I'm buying internationally so I converted all the prices from my local store to USD for your added convenience) And yes; I will make a build log of this, don't worry, If all goes to plan this will all be built next weekend. I've considered Z97 with a 4790k but This build is only around $150 more expensive going with these parts instead of a 4790k, Maximus VII Hero & 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro. Only 'benefit' of Z97 would be the included Assassins Creed Unity code with it (lol) and the few dollars of saving. I'll definitely be adding more storage to this in a few months though. Please note that my options are limited here as not many parts make it to our market without being heavily inflated. Location: Hong Kong Budget: ~$2000 USD Usage: High-Res Gaming, Adobe Creative Suite CS6 & Web Development What do you all think?

What the post says. EDIT: it might seem like a stupid question, but Ive seen people saying that it is bad in terms of airflow and some that say it is wonderful

I recently bought a new 750D since my old Antek 902 got beaten up really bad during a moving, and now I'm confronted with a mix of a constant low humming sound combined with a pulsating higher pitched humming sound resulting from my WD Caviar black and Samsung Spinpoint F3 apparently resonating in this case. When only plugging in one drive, the Samsung creates a low pulsating hum where the WD gives a constant low buzz ( both things which didn't happen in the 902 ). I've tried replacing either the WD black or the Samsung with a spare WD RED I had but in both cases the extreme resonance returns. I've tried repositioning them, putting the side panels looser or tighter ( the latter one making the noise worse ), but I can't seem to get rid of this resonance between the two drives. Are there any options which work with isolating the HDD's from the cages or even the cages from the case which don't involve putting them in special brackets in the 5.25" bay? Usually some small rubber washers between the bracket and the HDD are supposed to help but in my case the vibrations still reach the cages en resonance is present. Or is it possible that I happen to have two really bad vibrating drives ( the Samsung is about 4 years old, the WD black about 3 ) and only replacing both of them will stop the resonating, since I seem to be one of the only people having these kind of problems with the 750D. Hi, Been trying to decide on a case for a new machine I am looking to build. I've watched the videos from Linus and then some on each of the cases, but which is best? - Phantek Enthoo Pro Midi vs Corsair Obsidian 750D vs NZXT 530 / 630? I am looking for: dust filters easy build room for the biggest of graphics cards room for kraken cooled cpu cooler either dual rad or single air cooling on graphics card or cards with standard built in would love for a smaller case atx mobo The 750D It looks quite big, are there any filters on it, it says there are 3, but they just look like grills to me? Looks roomy and easy to work with, has all the cabling, screwless design etc which is nice The Phantek Enthoo pro midi Smaller size (BIG YES) and still looks like it can handle a good few hard drives and a full size graphics card (or can it?) and is easy to build with. Also very nice dust filters. The NZXT 530 / 630 Not sure which is better, 530 or 630, I am leaning towards the 530 as I think it's the newer one and is smaller and has dust filters and the things that we should expect from a good case. Looks it weighs a lot. Is the 530 the same size as the Phantek Enthoo pro midi? Here are my thoughts: Visually I am NZXT, case looks awesome, but it's never going to be seen once under my desk For easiest build I am with the corsair 750D For smaller case and dust filters, I am for the Phantek Enthoo pro midi (is there enough room in this case?) The machine I am looking to build comprises of: EVGA GeForce GTX 780Ti Dual Classified ACX 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (03G-P4-2888-KR) (possibly 2nd when pricess drop) Intel 5930K 3.50GHz (Haswell-E) Socket LGA2011-V3 Processor - Retail (BX80648I75930K) Avexir Platinum 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit (AVD4U24001604G-4M) Asus X99-A Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard (I may switch this to the X99-S) SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1000W Fully Modular "80 Plus Platinum" Power Supply - Black NZXT KRAKEN X41 Complete Water Cooling - 140mm BitFenix Spectre PRO 120mm/140mm White LED - Black fans Samsung 32D850D 32" Widescreen LED Professional/Gaming Slim Bezel Monitor - Black (to join my 1080p HD TV 40" and Dell WFP 30" I have 2 x SSD and 3 x WD HDs already and a Blue Ray R/W drive which will coming out of this machine. It will be primary a work machine (Programming and Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Flash, InDesign and After Effects) It will also be my entertainment system and gaming machine. What's your thoughts people, which case would fit all that in? have smallest form factor, good air flow, easy build and not require me to invest in newer smaller hands?

I want to water cool my loop with 3 240mm rads... I already got the rads and im planning to buy the 750d. The problem is, i want to know if i can mount a 240 rad at the front AND the bottom of the case without modding. I will use the h220 radiator with fans on both front and bottom of the case. I searched but all i can see are fan mounts. There are a few pictures that mounted both on the front and the bottom, but neither states that those were unmodded cases. I hope any 750d owners can confirm this for me. I cant find any other case that fit my budget other than 750d. If there are any other cases that support triple 240s please suggest one to me.

For the last year or so, I've been using a Cooler Master Elite 431+. It's served me pretty well, and for a $50 case, I can't complain all that much. However, I have a LOT of stuff crammed in here, and this tiny little mid-tower case just isn't cutting it anymore, so it's time to upgrade. As it stands right now, I have a rat's nest of wires, and want something with ample cable management and room for plenty of hardware (plus expandability for the future). This has me looking at the 750D and the Urban T81 for several key reasons: They're large enough, without going full-on 900D size (which is a bit too big to fit under my desk) They both have a very clean aesthetic Both have removable hard drive cages and can support plenty of HDD's (I currently have 3x 3.5" HDD's, 1x 2.5" HDD, and one 2.5" SSD in my rig Both have plenty of cable management space behind the motherboard tray (1"+ on both, if I remember correctly) Windowed side panels Ample water cooling compatibility (not a current issue, but I would like to water cool my rig in the future) Lots of airflow (especially in the Thermaltake). I like my components to run cool. I definitely like how the Corsair looks a lot more, but the Thermaltake has the advantage of a door to cover the 5.25" bays. The TT case is also about $50 more expensive. So, my question for you guys is which case do you think I should get? The Corsair? The Thermaltake? Something else entirely? I'm open to suggestions about other cases, so feel free to turn my attention to something else. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hey guys, I need help with my brand new 750D. I like it a lot so far, but when I bought it it came WITHOUT DAMAGE to the box itself with a broken aluminium front. I already made a ticket on the corsair customer support site. My new parts are sitting in the corner of my room now because I dont know if I have to sent the whole case to corsair or something. Is there maybe someone from corsair on the forum that can help me? (sorry for maybe some English grammar mistakes I am from the Netherlands) Kevin

Hey guys! just signed up for the forums today to ask a simple question, but ill probably hang around Okay, I'm thinking of getting a Corsair Obsidian 750D. But today i saw the 450D, it seems like a good case but i'm not sure i like the front as much as the 750D. i was wondering if anyone could reply with a pic of the 750D, but with two LED fans in the front, i would just like to see if the light glows around the edge of the front panel or not. thanks guys

Hey all! so a few months ago I bought a corsair Obsidian 750D and I noticed the side panel is squeaky! D: is there anyway to guarantee fix it? or should I talk to corsair about getting a new one? Does the time that i've owned this mean anything? (like 4-ish months lol)

I`m building a gaming computer, and the last thing I need to buy it`s the case. I have 2 GTX 760 in SLI, and I would like to water cool them without spending U$ 600 on a custom loop, water blocks, etc. My question is: can I fit 2 X 140mm radiators at the front of the Corsair 750d? What cases do you recommend to me to do this? I like cases with clean looks, and I can`t spent more than U$ 150 on the case. My PC: I7 4820k Asus Rampage IV Extreme 24gb Corsair Vengeance 2 X 1TB WD Caviar Black (RAID0) 32GB Sandisk SSD ReadyCache 2 X EVGA GTX 760 2GB ACX (SLI) (Water cooled by Kraken G10 and Kraken X40) Corsair H100 water cooler Corsair RM850 PSU

I've been debating weather to get a 750d or a 350d. (the only reason the 350d is useful for me is because I travel a lot and the more often I can bring it with me the better) So here's the build tell me what case you think i should get. (This is going to be used for gaming, recording, editing, and maybe a little bit of animation.) CPU: Intel 4770k GPU: 2 Gigabyte GTX 780ti Ghz Editions Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Formula PSU: Corsair AX 860 watt RAM: 32gb of Corsair Red DDR3 ( I know its a bit overkill) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i with SP120 fans running in a push pull config SSD: 120gb Samsung Evo Series (used for cache and OS) Hard Drive: 1tb WD Black drive (for now) Case fans:(750d:) 3 Corsair af140 red led's (350d:) 2Corsair af140 red led's & 1 af120 red led OS: Windows 8.1 Pro So like I said tell me what you think and what case I should get! PS Forgot to mention I'm using a Asus Maximus VI Gene if i do the 350d

Hey, been a bit since have been here but aways. Im having a hard time picking between these three cases. the 750d is the largest the h440 will fit inside a desk the Midi r2 fits in between the two. im planning too watercool with a custom loop, the 750d and h440 csn both fit triple rads but the midi can fit a 280 which is just as good.

Hello again, I would like to know what case fans I should buy for my new rig and what size. some of the specs are: case corsair 750D, r9 290 vapor-x and an i7 4790k. What case fans should I buy? I am looking for a LOT of airflow, since the 750D cant do well enough on its own. Tell me your opinions and thank you for your time

I didn't know where to post this since it connects with water cooling. So whats the difference between static pressure and air flow? is one better than the other? I plan on getting a 750D with a Corsair H110 and an NZXT Kraken G10, i'm replacing the H110's fans with Noctua F12s but as for the other slots of the case that won't be mounted with radiators, what type of fan do i use? intake and exhaust.

I've been going back and forth between the 750D and 900D for a while now, from a building stand point the 900D would be awesome for my future plans. Plenty of room to and a second card and even go water cooled after that. The 750D is great from a "cost effective" stand point compared to the 900D. Still room to go dual sli and water cooled at some point. Also the bottom drawer that comes with the 900D is a very attractive feature to me. Any other thoughts or recommendations on different cases? PS. How does everyone have there pc build in there signature?

Here's the part list? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3G7DE And i was wondering if i just should have the stock cables form corsair? I am going to use it for editing (3d), rendering and gaming. And id like to keep the buget under 2800. Thanks

Hello everyone i'm looking for a new case. It needs to fit lots of stuff in it though. I'm kinda at the point where its go to big, or sacrifice my hardware. My optimal case is; a case with 6x 5.25 external bays, 8x 3.5 Internal bays which 2x are 2.5 for SSD's, ATX board, 1x 240mm RAD, 1x 280mm RAD, small pump, 780ti watercooled, silverstone 1000w PSU and a watercooled CPU. Big i know. I'm thinking the Corsair 750d, except it only has 3x 5.25 bays. I cant get the 800d on the site i use so the next is the 900d by corsair. OVER kill for what i need. Ill put links to both and my wishlist's for my current build and the upgrades i want. Please try and use the site pccasegear.com becasue im an aussie thanks you! Edit: If i'm going to have all this cool nighting and water cooling i want to see it. So as big of a window as possible! Blue and black is the theme. So could you fit a 360mm Rad in the front of a 750D? I know you could cut out the 5.25 bays and it would fit but the fan wouldnt have anything to mount to. Could i buy one of these and screw it to the front of the case and would it work? http://www.caselabs-store.com/fan-mount-120mm-x-25mm-flex-bay/

Hi guys, So, recently I decided that my next case and motherboard upgrade would be a Corsair 750D for it's fantastic looks and extreme modular ability. However, I want to put an ATX motherboard in there, and it wasn't until I saw the picture below that I realized just HOW MUCH SPACE there is on the inside. I looked at the 350D and 450D, but I didn't like the fact that they looked so small. I also looked at alternative motherboards but as I am going with an orange theme, there are not many motherboard out there. The one I decided to go with is a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC but the only EATX variant was on the ivy bridge platform and I have an i5 4670K. So what can I fill the space up with? I thought about spraypainting on a cool design but I still think it would look empty, and since I am going with air cooling I can't but a reservoir there. Thank you for any help that you guys can give me! -Billy

Hey i'm having fingerprint problems with the front panel of my 750D. how can you remove fingerprints from the aluminum front panel?
-
Having a little trouble choosing which case to get I'd choose the 750D but i'm worried that the front panel won't allow that much air to get sucked in. Criteria: Airflow Aesthetics - the 750D would look great with my monitor which has a brushed aluminum finish as well Radiator/Fan mounts - I plan on mounting a Corsair H110 and a Kraken G10 Window size - would love to see the inside, i'll be lighting this baby up with an NZXT Hue Controller w/ LED strips Specs i'll be using: Intel Core i7-4930K ASUS ROG Rampage IV Black Edition Seagate 4TB 64mb 7200rpm 3.5" Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Corsair Vengeance (Dual) 16GB 2x8GB 1600 CL9 x2 = 32GB MSI GeForce GTX 780Ti Gaming 3G or maybe a just 780 i'm not sure.. Corsair H110 NZXT Kraken G10 ASUS 24x SATA Noctua NH-F12 PWM 120mm x3 Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition Single Pack LED Corsair HX650 650W 80+ Gold, Modular NXZT Hue Controller Windows 8.1 64-bit

I'm really annoyed by my Zalman Z9 U3, caused by some cable management issues and the bad access to the front dust filter (I have to clean it like once a month, therefor I don't have to vacuum my room ). I saw the 750D on sale, so I read like every review out there and now I am really not sure what to think about the case. What is about the shorting out motherboards thing, that some reviews say?

Hi! I have a Corsair 750D and an ASUS Maximus VII Hero Motherboard. The Corsair 750D has two front USB2.0 and two USB3.0 ports, it is all working perfectly except for only one of the USB2.0 ports. I've tested it with various devices, but that particular USB port is just not detecting anything nor responding. Has anyone else got this problem? What processes should I undertake to fix this? Perhaps it is just an unfortunate dodgy USB front header? Thanks guys!
