Budget (Euro): 700€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General Web browsing, Meshmixer, Fusion 360, Photoshop, MS Office, Rainbow Six Siege, Warzone Existing Parts: 4 x 8Gb Gskill Trident Z 3200 CL16 Memory Use case and basic information: I mainly need my PC for university work. So basic Software like MS Office is obviously my main use case. Besides that I do some 3D Modeling (Meshmixer, Fusion 360) and some light Photoshop/Lightroom work. I am planning to run this PC on a basic and cheap 1080p 75hz Monitor so I don't care about high resolution. The occasional game will be played on this machine as well but it is not my focus for this build. I also don't need a lot of storage for now. I already have a set of 4 x 8GB GSkill Trident Z 3200Mhz Memory which I plan on using in this build. So far I have been planing this build: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x Nvidia GTX 1650 Super 32 GB 3200Mhz GSkill Memory MSI B450 Tomahawk 500GB P2 Crucial M.2 NVME 650W Corsair Power Supply I was looking for a 550W PS but I found a package deal with the B450 board + 650W Corsair PS and a case which would be pretty cost effective at 90€. I also looked at the Ryzen 7 3700x instead of the 5600x but I think for my light workload I don't need the 8cores. Any ideas, thoughts or criticisms are welcome. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Budget : $700 Country: America, USA I’m looking for a simple budget 1080p gaming pc for my birthday (Fortnite, Mincraft, maybe a little Warzone.) I’ve set up a couple PC parts lists that I like. My budget is around $700 but it’s fine if it goes a little over. Intel: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/g8pRQD AMD: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xVcjt8 I’m a little confused on what motherboard to get, I’m looking for more than one fan header. Thanks!

I'm not planning on using it for gaming, I just need to be able to have it support 4 monitors with extended display (3 lined up on the bottom, one onto of the middle screen). Both screens are 1920x1080, max res of 1080p. Would live to hear about any budget graphics cards that could work for my use case. Edit: tried to use the NVS 510 by Nvidia, didn't work sadly.

Hello all, I am having a bit of trouble with my displays. I have two Scepter M25s and an RTX 3060Ti, but my GPU only has 1 HDMI output. In the past I have run both displays off of DP, but with DP my monitors decided to randomly go black before popping back to life. They repeatedly would do this until I unplugged the DP cable from the monitor and plugged it back in. Everything at that point would usually work fine for a day or two or until I restarted my machine. This frustrated the crap out of me so I switched one monitor to HDMI and have the other is connected to HDMI via a DP to HDMI adaptor: no issues with blacking out. This brings me to my problem. My monitor that is connected via the converter is limited to 60Hz when I know the cable and monitor both support 1080p at 144Hz on HDMI. What can I do to run my second display at a full 144Hz? I think I need a better adaptor, but many do not say what refresh rates they support on the box or in marketing materials, and its not as simple as looking for the spec of the cable. Can someone pleas provide me some recommendations on adaptors or teach me how to identify the product I need? Thanks in advance, Tim

Hello lovely community. Long time lurker here. Recently (~3 months ago) I was able to snag an Asus Dual RTX 3070 for $650, brand new. Since my old GTX 1080 died 4 months ago, I had no option but go for the 3070. So far so good, card is great, thermals are ok/mediocre. Decent overclocker (2020 Core @0.975mV, +1000MHz mem) despite the compact cooler. However, i'll have a chance to snag an Asus TUF 3080 for $1050USD this week (brand new too). This would allow me to upgrade my 3070 for that by only splurging ~$350 more. I would sell the 3070 to a close friend for the same money I paid for it. My question is: is it even worth it thinking about doing that? While I game at 1080p, my monitor goes up to 280Hz and I think my system could drive the 3080: 10900k (mediocre 5GHz all-core oc, 4.7GHz uncore) 16GB RAM (4400Mhz) 850W Thermaltake GF1 PSU I could also get an Asus STRIX 3070 for $770USD. That would mean paying $120USD for a better cooler/PCB and staying with a 3070. Tips/thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Okay, so .. I am not rich, and I want to store movies, preferably at 4k. I have decided to go with M-Disc drives which supposedly last up to 1000 years (or more). My question is: How big is the difference between a ~5GiB movie, at 4k and between one that is that or lower, in 1080p? I guess a big difference.. but what between ~16GiB, ~25GiB and ~50GiB 4k movies? I wonder if HDR colors would still look good..

It’s been tough to find a GPU in 2021, but AMD’s hoping to improve supply with the RX 6600 XT. But as a midrange 1080p card, is it priced too high to compete?

TL;DR Can’t decide between 27 or 32 both same specs 1080p, 165hz, IPS displays. I have a 3070 and I can’t afford 1440p. HELP! So long story not so short been using 40" 4k tv for the last 3 years never had anything higher then 60hz… TV broke and now instead of buying new tv looking into getting into the 100+ hz market for the first time. I have a 3070, I do game a lot but also like to watch movies, anime, youtube etc on my computer… so with that in mind I’ve already decided on IPS panel. Thing is I cannot afford 1440p even less 4k that has higher then 60hz and for that might as well go back to tv… I found two monitors within my budget both different brands but with same specs 1080p, 165hz, 1ms, IPS, only difference is that one is 27 and the other 32. My 3070 can reach easy on any game the amount of fps needed for that amount of hz and I honestly don’t mind go back to 1080p but after doing so much research I still can’t find the solution… some say 27 is way too big for 1080p and others that 32 is not a big deal u can still enjoy it just fine and that u have to be way too picky to even complain about it. SO if u read all that first thanks so much for taking the time for it and what do you think? can you help me decide please? (I’m typing on a 13" cintiq atm and this is SO small… I srly need to get new screen by tomorrow no matter what) THANKS!

Looking for a 24" IPS panel that has 1080p, 144hz, 1ms, GSync or Freesync (no real preference), VESA mountable. Added features like motion blur reduction, eye care, blue light reduction etc. are nice but not a must have. What is gonna be my best option among these 4? Something else? I am in the Canadian market for an ultrawide monitor. Is 3440 x 1440 enough of a difference from 2560 x 1080 to justify an extra 60% in cost? I would like some suggestions and opinions from users who have experience with 1080p and 1440p monitors or if you have experience with ultrawide monitors. In addition, what is a good monitor size for each respective resolution (1080p and 1440p ultrawide)? I am looking for a monitor in the $300 - 500 CAD range for general use and it would be great too if you could directly suggest a monitor.

I am trying to find a monitor that is 1080p, at least 120hz, not a TN panel, around 24in big, and at least G-sync compatible that is around $250, is this budget possible? Also I was wanting 2ms or less response time but if it was like 4ms would I really notice a difference? If the budget isn't really possible I can save up for a more expensive monitor. Thanks in advance!

So i've got a 3070 and was playing around with the idea of finally upgrading to a high refresh rate 1440p display (I plan on upgrading to this one as an upgrade from this one) but i have a few things holding me back slightly. 1. How noticeable of a difference would going from a 24" 1080p 144hz TN gaming monitor be when upgrading to a 27" 1440p 144hz-170hz IPS gaming monitor? 2. How well do you guys think the 3070 will keep up at 1440p for the next say.. 3-4 years? especially in triple a titles on high/ultra or more reasonably optimized settings at or above 60fps? 3. If you're someone who currently has a 3070 and a 1440p high refresh rate monitor, how has your experience been like so far? what games do you play? what settings and fps are you getting?

Hi everybody, I just got my hands on a Gigabyte Dual Fan 2060, and boy was i dissapointed. It worked fine, but i have always valued a quiet build, and was an active (albeit novice) user on the now comatose SilentPCreview forums. I have an old gtx 960 4gb strix and when manually controlling the fans it keep itself to a pleasant soft swoosh, even when im straining it with some RDR2 gaming (30 fps - it ain't the best but it pulls it off). My new Gigabyte 2060 just ramps up or can't keep its temperature down. I have tried limiting its power and finding some middleground where the fans will be heard but not too much, but i have reached the conclusion that its going back to the retailer. I actually ordered a Sapphire 5600xt pulse, but the blasted thing seems to have gone out of production. TLDR: im still in the marked for a quiet GPU for 1080p non-competetive gaming. One caveat: I use a Fractal Design Node 304, so in principle the GPU can't be much thicker than 45 mm, but im realizing that the future might hold a new case as well. (edited from 4.5 mm - oops) What GPUs in the general direction of 5600 XT/2060/3060 can be reccomended for being quiet cards, preferably also relatively slim? I have looked a bit one the Gigabyte 3060 Gaming OC as it seems to fit the description. Or do i have to look at MSI gaming/ASUS Strix for something with a potent heatsink and a good track record? Thanks in advance

So I read the guide and it says "They are all shit, just get the cheapest one." Some background I use the XPS-15 9560 and find its screen to be too bright for long hours, I need a cheap monitor for programming and web-surfing since that's all I have been doing now. The problem is reviews for cheap monitors are hard to find, from my research The absolute should haves are Flicker free no PWM Low brightness / Dark Room support (The lowest level of brightness should actually be low). Some Nice to haves would be decent contrast ratio, some random reddit thread said 1500:1 should be minimum, most IPS monitors are at best 1000:1 A Veas Mount support. Should be from a decent (Tier 1) brand Tier 1. LG, Samsung, Asus, BenQ, Dell, HP Tier 2. Lenovo, Acer. AOC. I am from India so will be shopping from Amazon India A List of best sellers is https://www.amazon.in/gp/bestsellers/computers/1375425031/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_computers I am looking for some thing as cheap as possible but lets say around 15000 Indian Rupees (Should be around 200 USD) My choices in no real order are Dell P2419H (rting bothered to review it at least) BenQ EW2480 (Seems like a worth while upgrade from GW2480) BenQ GW2480 (Some random Indian website crowned it as the best budget monitor for Eye care) I guess VA Panels are better for my usage considering they have better contrast, but they are nowhere to be found, I don't want to spend on gaming features like xxx hz or super low response time, I am never going to use those, I would rather go for for bigger 27 inch or 1440p or ultrawide something like that. Any suggestions recommendations or experiences are welcome as always. Thanks for the help, cheers.

Pretty new to monitors and just got a good deal on an Acer Nitro VG240Y SBMIIPX 165Hz display and have been using it for about two weeks now along side my old HP EliteDisplay E232 60Hz. While the higher refresh rate on the acer is really nice, I can't seem to understand why the HP is giving out a sharper image while gaming or even jus watching videos. From my understanding they are both 1080p IPS panels.

I want to build a pc from zero (laptop user) that would be able to run the lastest AAA games at 1080p capped at 144fps (1080p 144hz monitor). Budgetwise around 1k euros but give me your ideas even of they exceed that goal mark (ofc the cheaper the better). If you can recommend a build or give me a link I would be glad. Thank you very much.

Hey Guys, I'm a gamer who plays a lot of story games and also a lot of multiplayer competitive games and I like both of them really much and it's my first time buying a monitor after I got my first pc. The thing is that I'm stucking with two options. The first option would be a gaming monitor with 27 inch, 144hz, 1440p and ips panel. The second option would be 24 inch, 144hz, 1080p and ips panel. The biggest problem for me is the size because like I already said that I also play many online games and I don't know if 27 inch would be to big for me because you have a better overlook on 24 inch and on the other side I think that 1440p would be better with my rtx 2070 but I've also heard it's not worth WQHD on a 24 inch monitor and I never had a WQHD monitor before. Right now I'm playing on 22 inch with 60hz. I just can't decide please help me

Hi there! My friend bought a Ryzen 5 3400g and sent it to me as he doesn't have the rest of the PC to test it yet. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1070 founders, so I took them out and istalled the 3400g and started to test the processor with the built in vega 11 graphics, but performance was way lower than expected. For example, The Witcher 3 should be playable at 1080p 30-40fps according to most reviews on youtube, but it doesn't reach even 30 fps on 720p ultra low preset. The same happens with other games, Apex Legends should run at 45-50 fps on 1080p but it goes at 30-40 on 720p. To make it short, to get somehow close to framerates as seen on youtube in several videos, I must go down to 720p when all the reviews show the games being played at 1080p. And even with that resolution downgrade I don't reach the framerate seen on the reviews. I tried to install the Adrenalin software but no changes were perceived. If you have any idea of what's going on please let me know, it is the first time I test a ryzen apu and there might be extra setup steps I skipped because of my ignorance. Thank you!

Hey all, I have an HP gaming laptop that has a 144hz, 1080p built in display. I also have a 1440p, 144hz external monitor that I use with my desktop, running through a displayport cable. The issue I am seeing is, even though I have the external monitor set at 1440p, 144hz in NVidia control panel and in Windows' display setting, this configuration is not available in games that I run. I have tried Overwatch, COD Cold War and Valheim. I am only able to select 1080p, 144hz or 1440p, 60hz in-game. Now, I am using the exact same displayport cable that I use for my desktop through a USB C adapter - this problem actually did not exist prior to me sending my laptop back to HP for a bad NVME drive under warranty. But, since I have gotten it back, this problem persists. I have tried what I know and the only solution that I can find is only showing the display on the external monitor, ie. not duplicating the displays in Windows. This is fine I guess, but I like to use the 144hz, 1080p screen as a second monitor while I play (again, I used to do this prior to sending it to HP). What am I missing here? Thanks!

I'm in the market for a new monitor to go with my PS5, but I'm not really sure where to start. For the types of games I usually play, I would prefer a higher refresh rate over looks but I do play story games from time to time. Because of this, I was just going to purchase a 1080p high refresh rate monitor, but I do have concerns that there might be an update to PS5 software to allow for 1440p output. I just watched the LTT video for the AOC CQ27G1 (linked below) and was wondering if that would still be relevant or if there are better options now. Every time I try to look for monitors on my own I end up looking at features that take it out of a price range that I'm comfortable with, so I would appreciate any suggestions that you guys have! That way I know if I can find something in my budget now or if I should wait until I can afford to make a bigger investment. I'm in a US market by the way.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a dual monitor set up (pref 27" not ultrawide). Ideally I want two IPS panels because well I like colour accuracy. I'm rocking a 1660s and 3600 so realistically for the next year I won't realistcally be going above 144fps at 1080p or 75fps at 1440p but I really want to utilise the extra pixel density of the higher res panel. I was thinking about getting a high refresh 1080p monitor for competitve FPS games and a moderate refresh rate 1440p monitor for scenic games. BUT I also want the monitors to visually identical becuase.. well symmetry. I'm not likely to upgrade my GPU/CPU for a good while so I don't see myself needing higher refresh rate monitors than these. This is what I have found so far (I'm aware the description of the 1440p one is VA but I'm guessing that is wrong): https://www.box.co.uk/AOC-Gaming-27G2UBK-27-Full-HD-IPS-Free_2766292.html https://www.box.co.uk/AOC-Q27G2UBK-27-QHD-FreeSync-144Hz-Gam_2869502.html Are these good deals? Or am I barking up the wrong tree. Any help would be appreciated. Peripherals are not my strong point as its a minefield

Will a rtx 3070 be a good match for a 2600x at 1080p? Well if I can even find one in stock... I know that higher resolution requires more gpu power and cpu starts to relax, but will I loose too much performance if don't upgrade cpu aswell? My target is to run all games at the highest settings @1080p @144hz. I mostly play Fps games but I don't care if it is slow-paced game I want same results XD. Specs: Ram trident z rgb 3600mhz CL18 currently running @3200mhz timmings 18 22 22 22 42 cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x Boosting at 4.0 - 4.1 Ghz all cores Gpu: Gtx 1080 Fe
